I go here every week because they accept cards. Went in today and got my laundry loaded up only to get a message that my payment couldn't be processed. Attendant told me the WiFi was down so cards wouldn't work. There was no sign up saying that the WiFi was down, and the attendant's only suggestion was to use a nearby ATM, both of which charge exorbitant fees. I had to go here because I had a week's worth of laundry and the hotel washers and dryers were broken, so I stopped by here to get the laundry done quick. I don't normally go to laundry mats so I wasn't very familiar with how everything worked. There were lots of washers and it was neat that you could do multiple loads in one washer! However, almost no one spoke English, so it was hard to communicate with anyone. Also, there were only a few carts which was ofd seeing how many washers and dryers there were. The washer worked great and quick. However, many of the dryers were out of service and the few that worked were being used and had lines waiting to use them, so I took the freshly washed laundry back to the hotel to set around our room to dry. The whole situation was a bit frustrating, but if you're in a bind this place at least can get your clothes clean. read more

This is the superior laundromat to the others in the area. Clean, lots of machines, easy to use, prices are better, lots of seating, good lighting, some taco trucks out front. Also it doesn't smell weird like some other ones nearby. It smells clean. read more

I overheard a customer talking to a staff member about picking up his clothes and the customer was arguing with the staff member and the staff was being very polite and the customer was shouting that he spends a lot of money here and that he should be able to get his clothes, the staff member explained how the rules are very calmly to calm the customer down and even called his boss to confirm there wasn't anything he can do only to be talked down onto by his boss. I feel very bad for the staff member with all the tattoos to have to deal with such supervisors that yell over the phone at him for trying to help customers out. I've been a customer here for over 3 years and always see him working so hard on keeping the place clean and neat as well as always helping customers in the most professional manner which is why I come here. If I could leave 0 stars I would. Card machine took our money without giving us any credits to use for the watching machine. Employees watched it happen and didn't think to tell us the machine didn't work then when we approached them about it they said they couldn't do anything about it and that the machine has been broken. The machines also say a price for the wash. The price said $4.50 and took out $15 out of my account. Don't come here. read more

The great thing about Spinzone is how many machines this location has! Strangely enough, all the big machines are always taken. Don't even get me started on the lack of parking this place has! Parking seems to be so scarce, cars park BEHIND parked cars, as if this was New York! This Spinzone is also super sketchy... don't wear or carry anything expensive as this is not the place. I've even high-fived a legit homeless man at this location... If you are sensitive to cheap detergent, you WILL have rashes... previous detergents linger on your clothes, and bleach and other remnants of detergent/softener remain in the machine bowl. Did i foget to mention washed and dried loads left in machines for hours, all while the 2 women supposedly working sat at a table in the lower level, talking to some man? Icing on the cake? When i lured one of the women away from Mr. Enchantment and explained, in English and then Spanish, that there was a very strong odor of unburned natural gas coming from only one of the 3 driers i was using, she could not have cared less. I was leaving anyway, but i care enough about all the working stiffs doing their laundry on Sunday morning that i stayed until she put tape across that dryer. I could use as many machines as I wanted to. somebody was always cleaning constantly, wasn't being bullied by men speaking another language to me intentionally daying sexist remarks when folding my clothes, no loud music. It was really comfortable. That's what I miss and I sure wish you would bring that back just stay open two hours later makes a big difference. I was never told that the washers where $15dollars of I used a debit card for one and I reached my limit to use my debit card that's how I found out. The man over night then let me know he was different when it comes to customer service. The man over night didn't help as much either because by me having to leave just to go get cash to dry my last 2 loads and come back this morning at 7am after going to bed last night at 2am due to the miscommunication I now have no clothes. Yes my clothes were stolen and it was the same 2dryers that I went to go get cash for to dry. All my work clothes were in there and I'm a single mother of 3. The very 1stv time I've come and ALL MACHINES WORKED, It was clean and the driers actually died my clothes the 1st time! The dude with the tattoos made sure he kept the place up!Literally the whole time, made sure carts were put up and floors clean and machines wiped down. I had an odd request that took some maneuvering around Austin to get my washable rug into a large capacity washing machine! If Jose wasn't here at The Spin Zone Laundry on Cameron to help me navigate the machinery's ins and outs, I'd still be driving around Austin trying to get my wife's rug cleaned! Jose's a stand-up guy who I saw already has his hands full keeping his place looking highly presentable and polished for a 24 hr business! He put away his cleaning to stop and ask me if I needed help! That's a class act! I explained my issues and he guided me the rest of the way, offering to help me bring in my large rug, and then got on his knees with me to wrangle the beast into the machine! He's a humble human who's got a great work ethic; I can't give the man enough props! I respect him and his dedication to helping others. He really knows his stuff and represents himself and his business really well! If you're late night folks like us and got some laundry to do, drop into The Spin Zone on Cameron and give Jose a holler; he's a friendly guy who's eager to help! Holy Moly! I've never enjoyed a laundry experience so much...And I hate doing laundry. Jose is amazing!!! He explained everything about my loyalty card and how to get the most bang for my buck. He was constantly checking on everyone, while keeping the place nice and tidy! I haven't seen someone work that hard in a while. I was going to go and fold my laundry, but the were too amazing to leave. When I was done, Jose even helped me carry my stuff to my car. Thanks Jose for calming my anxiety about laundromats! Wash n fold review: They will lose your clothes. A few months ago they lost over half of my clothing. I had to go back with my receipt and the clothing I picked up to prove that the amount of clothing I picked up was much lighter than what I dropped off. They took me to the storage room and I was able to identify my clothing mixed in with other customer's bags. I went in to complain and was credited for a wash and cold service. I hoped this was a one time mistake and continued to use their service for a few months. Then they lost 10 pieces of clothing. I called to talk to a manager and was never called back. I also went into to speak to staff, they took my number...again, and I was never contacted. read more

24 hours, clean, lots of bored kids running around. There's a couple of coin games to occupy the kids. You'll get in and out very quickly. Pretty busy during the day. I like to go late at night to avoid all the kids bouncing off the walls. Most important thing to remember: The washer defaults to light clean and the dryer defaults to low heat. If you don't change the settings, you'll end up with dirty damp clothes after an hour. read more

There isn't much I can say about a laundry mat. But, I like coming to this one because: It's s 24 hours It's pretty clean I get nice, clean clothes The machines are gigantic and always in good working condition. They have Wi-Fi TV's and arcade games. I try to come at a time of day where there won't be too many kids running around or an immensity of people attempting to do their laundry. I prefer this place over the laundry facility in my complex because I CAN USE QUARTERS. Reloading laundry cards and only being able to do one load at a time is lame. There are a lot of machines, but only a few do large loads, and every time I've gone, those large load machines are always being used. It's a spacious place with a good amount of folding areas. The attendants are very helpful, always on duty, and pay close attention to picking up after inconsiderate trashy people. One thing that makes me only give this place 3 stars is the lack of pest control around there. I always see a ton of roaches outside of the door, and some have made their way into my car from me just opening my door. Just watch out! After a certain time Monday-Thursday, the dryers are free! I think it's after midnight, but don't quote me on that. read more

drop off our laundry to have washed and folded. we received our laundry back with many missing articles some of witch were very expensive. we were told that the manager did our laundry and all articles were accounted for. if we wanted to start a claim bring back what we had washed so they could re weight it. not sure how that would get our closes back. in the end we were out several hundred dollars in closes. witch really sucks because we live in a van, and do not have many closes to begin with. watch out for the congress street spinzone laundry. read more

My husband and I recently moved to Austin, and we do not have a washer and dryer yet. We decided to give the wash and fold service here a try, and we could not be happier. The two people I have worked with were very polite and friendly. The first time we used the service, we were able to pick our clothes up the next day (we dropped off after 5pm) and everything was folded and/or hung as specified and smelled amazing! Nothing shrunk, colors didn't bleed, and nothing was ruined. Which I was slightly fearful of as I have never used a wash and fold service before. We dropped our second load off last night, again after 5 pm, and I called to check on it today and the gentleman I spoke to was very sincere and apologized that it was not ready yet. He told me that he would give me a call as soon as it is completed. Which I thought was very nice of him. The prices are very affordable, and the work they do is great! I would definitely recommend this place to other people who need a wash and fold service. read more

I did a review of this place last year, and I want to say again that the self-serve experience was very good. The credit card readers were in pretty miserable shape last year, and it looks like they've all been replaced with high quality ones. That's nice. But AGAIN, they do something really weird with payment. You run your credit card for a wash. For me, it was $4.75. I start the wash, and head back to my car to wait. While there, I get an alert from my card company that SpinZone billed me for $15. Duuuh? A while later, I do a dry job, and it was $2. So then I see my credit card has been billed for $6.75. Hours later, the $15 charge was cancelled. EXACTLY THIS happened a year ago. Now, the prices at SpinZone are quite good and, again, all of the washers and dyers are very clean, well maintained, and look quite new. The new result was that I was properly billed. But this crazy billing is kind of off-putting. What the @#$%^&* is going on?? Almost sounds like one is getting charged $15 as some sort of deposit. Gross, this place is gross! There was 2 workers and trash all over the floor, most the washing machines and dryers are dirty and broke, water all over the floor, dried up junk and nastiness stuck in the washing machines, dried to nasty crust. I was there over 3 hours and neither one of the workers not once swept the trash filled floor or tried to clean anything. I understand some dirty people come here, it needs to be cleaned a few times a day to maintain a sanitary environment, take 20-30 minutes a couple times a day to clean. I felt dirty just being there. There was only a few washers and dryers I could even use b/c most were too dirty and gross. In fact I could not even have them together b/c thats how many unsanitary machines they had in use. If this was my business I would make staff keep my laundromat clean. People go here to clean their clothes it should at least be sanitary. read more

we used spin zone a few days ago and we didn't get all our laundry we discovered 3 pair of new jeans missing we called and called and they keep saying you have to talk to someone else and they are not in. these jeans were $34.00 each now i don't know about you but i would like to know that the person doing my laundry won't steal my clothes or miss place them don't use this place we all work hard for our stuff and if this company can't take care to not lose or hire someone compitain enough to wash and fold peoples laundry and make sure they get what they sent then they don't deserve your business. read more

Very angry person working there tonight. Right as my clothes were about to be completed in the washer, he decided to mop right in front of it. I got my things from the washing machine and put them in the dryer. I noticed he was standing there staring at me, so I said "How are you doing sir?" He then started to cuss me out for walking on the wet floor. "What the *@%! is your problem? Cant you fu#*ing read? Go around! I just mopped that!" Not only was there no possible way for me go around to retrieve my clothes from the BACK of the washing machine, I was the only person in there and he could have waited for the cycle to finish before mopping. It was like he wanted confrontation. I'm not going to sit there and wait for the floor to dry. I'll find a new place to do laundry. read more
