So adorable. Burger was insane. Drinks very good. And apparently this is where my grandmother's old hutch went

Classy and hip speakeasy playing Charlie Chaplin films when we were there. We sat right at the bar and our bartender gave us great recommendations. Wish I took a picture but the sesame oil infused tequila cocktail is probably one of the best cocktails I've ever had. Can't wait to come back and try their food next time.

A great place - particularly if you are there before they get crowded. We had tickets for a 6 PM show at the nearby Perelman Performing Arts Center, so we arrived when they opened at 4 PM. At that time the service was attentive and the seating was comfortable. The cocktails are creative and tasty. The Duck Fat French Fries with Garlic and Parmesan Cheese are cut into unique shapes and were served freshly fried. The other plates were good.

I've been to many cocktail bars in NYC - and I was so impressed with this place!! I met a friend for a drink on a Thursday. It was crowded but the staff handled everything really well. It's a really great setting that worked for gals drinks but would also be a lovely date spot. I had the Carrie From the Block drink - it was SO good that I ordered a second, which I rarely do (I typically like to try multiple things). The sesame flavor really came through, and it was tart and flavorful. Loved it. It was also nice that it was high energy but we could still chat and catch up. Our bartender was nice and funny as well. Definitely check it out!

We went here for Tuesday happy hour after having our eye on it for months. I got the Krombacher pilsner and my coworkers tried a house cocktail and a different pilsner and we were all very happy with our drinks. I always look for a bar with some personality, and so I think the standout features for me were the décor and service. The interior had soft lighting from ornate lamps and accent pieces like old records and TVs, but was quite loud at that popular time so we opted to sit outside. We could still be part of the bar's vibe sitting next to the open window and have a little more quiet, and the waiter was very cool and personable with lots of recommendations and consistently checked in on us as if it were a full service restaurant. Definitely pricey (especially the food) and didn't appear to have happy hour "deals" but it looked like they'd put some snacks out for the happy hour crowd (I just wish this had been advertised). So many bars are terrible service-wise or just ok and have no pizzazz so I'd say this is a worthwhile spot for a drink in Tribeca.

This spot is adorable. Got seated immediately at 5:00 on a Monday. No happy hour and the prices seemed normal for NY. It had major speakeasy feels with some Alice in wonderland -esque artwork that I loved. Great service that was very attentive. Intimate and great for a date night.

The interior is really quite beautiful. It was like being in someone's home with their collection of mix and match furniture. Unfortunately the overall experience is dampened by not having AC on a 90 degree day. The poor employees! They did have ceiling fans but again in a hot, dim, and muggy environment and with the noise of everyone around it was a sensory overload. It was difficult for our waiter to get to us once we were seated since it was next to a large crowd of standing tables. If you're going to try have dinner here, I'd only recommend the Bullseye - a rib eye with bone marrow butter and a sweet potato purée. The beef tongue bruschetta was no longer on the menu. The Bazaar Qofte - 4 black pieces of kabob that came with a pita and a pita were decently grilled but lacked any real seasoning. The tuna carpaccio seemed okay, beautifully presented but was really drowning in the oil and alfalfa. The Duck Fat Parm Garlic fries were thick cut in a unique shape but didn't really have much seasoning to them at all. There's barely any Parm Garlic much else any hints of duck fat. The crawfish appetizer seemed so intriguing in the menu but was again seasonless! Not even the sauce it was in had much flavor. The menu said it had gochuchang but it was far from being spicy - I asked for some salt and pepper which helped a teensy bit. At the end of the night, we heard the table next to us having some issues but couldn't really catch what was happening over the noise. Turns out their card reader was not working and we had to run to a bank, which was the icing on top of a mediocre experience. I was so looking forward to having a better experience but the execution in operations is so unfortunate.

We had an early dinner before a heading to a show. The place was very quiet and empty at 5.30. That being said, it was still happy hour so grabbed an aperol spritz. We shared the following cold and warm bites. Tuna tartare, lamb sliders and duck fat fries. They did a great job to make everything dairy free. It was just enough food for 2 and not too heavy. It's a very eclectic vibe in the place with windows open to the street. Fun place.

A very unique and intricate spot for cocktails. Great staff that is very knowledgeable about their menu. We ordered four different cocktails, and every single one was scrumptious. Of course the prices are eye-opening but then again it is NYC.

Came here to meet up with friends on a Thursday evening around 9PM. The place was not very packed, but a good half of the tables were occupied. Wooden finishes throughout the space to set that classy vibe. The bar's name is a play on word of the book: War and Peace, fun fact! We were meeting primarily for drinks, but I haven't had dinner so I got to try some of their offerings. For appetizers, I ordered the Fried Oysters ($18). Came with five pieces of oysters placed on top of tzatziki sprinkled with bonito flakes. These were really good and I would eat another plate of it if I could. For entree, I ordered the Penne All'Arrabiata ($22). A bit spicy, but tolerable for the taste. The pasta is al dente, but I personally would like them to be softer. Overall, not bad for a bar. For drinks, I tried their Wintery Choco Old Fashioned ($17), which was completely missing the chocolate taste, but a really well made Old Fashioned no less. I also ordered the Oaxaca Aeroplanino ($17), which is a mezcal based cocktail. I think this is a good enough sample size to determine this place makes fire cocktails.

While I can't comment on the wine list personally, I know they are well-known for their extensive selection. After placing our order, we were delivered the sesame pizza bianca, which is a complimentary starter bread with dinner. The bread was a nice size and light and airy with a perfect crust and a delicious, crusty sesame seed bottom. The prawns were our starter and came three to a dish. They were sizable, though since they are served with the head and tail, there isn't a ton of meat on them. That said, they were flavorful and juicy with a nice sauce and just the right amount of spice that didn't overwhelm the fish. The snowdance chicken was the star of the show! It was incredibly juicy and tender with perfectly prepared skin, so I was happy to learn they keep this on the menu year-round. It was topped with some spinach that was solid, though nothing special. We also ordered a side of mushrooms which came with a creamy sauce and fish roe intended to be mixed at the table. The roe wasn't fishy at all but added a great element of umami to the flavorful, well-textured mushrooms. Overall, the service was very professional, though I thought the pacing could have been improved as the dishes came out a bit slowly. I would also recommend ordering at least two dishes per person, as the three plates we shared between two people felt like just a touch too little food. I'm already looking forward to going back--I'd try the winter chicories salad or the veal sweetbreads next time, but I'm open to exploring everything since the quality is so high. I noticed a side dish listed on their online menu that wasn't actually offered in person, so it might be worth double-checking if you have your heart set on a specific item.

I made reservations after seeing their special hot chocolate on social media and had a wonderful meal! Started off with the hiramasa which was fresh and went deliciously well with the citrus-y and sweet cara cara orange, as well as the aji peppers! The castelfranco chickory salad was fresh, crunchy, slightly creamy and slightly tangy - basically everything you need in an appetizing salad! Their house sesame bread was fluffy and chewy with a good amount of sesame flavor without having too many seeds. For mains, the farfelle was very interesting and tasty! The pasta was al dente and the sauce was addicting! At first I was wondering if it would resemble a nut butter, but it was creamy with very prominent walnut flavors and interesting texture (perhaps from the blended walnut skin component?). The addition of burrata and other cheeses was perfect for a cheese-lover like me. The pork chop was flavorful, well-seasoned, and juicy. The leek and cabbage mixture soaked up all the sauce and I wish there was more! Their special hot chocolate with an espresso martini marshmallow was fire!!!! Hot chocolate was decadent, not too thick, and not too sweet. The toasted marshmallow melted quickly but definitely had coffee and alcohol flavors. The amount per serving doesn't appear a lot but appropriate considering how rich it is. The mascarpone dessert had a great balance of fluffy cream, extremely crispy phyllo, and crunchy nuts with a touch of chocolate and vanilla! For drinks, I was really curious about the bi lemongrass but they ran out. Staff recommended the semiplume, which felt like a beer, tea, and sparkling wine all at once! Loved the floral aroma and bitter tea notes. My partner's cocktails were also well executed. Staff were nice and friendly. We got seats right by the kitchen so staff often checked in with us, including the chef!! Vibes were intimate with the dim lighting and minimalist decor. Definitely want to come back to check out their chicken and other dishes!!
