Located right on the pier in NYC, this is one of those spots where you grab a seat, soak in the waterfront views, watch the boats go by, and just enjoy a slow summer afternoon. The atmosphere alone is worth the visit, but the food? Even better. We started with the grilled Baja fish tacos, and WOW. The fish was perfectly grilled, so fresh, flaky, and packed with flavor. The crunchy cabbage slaw, pico de gallo, chipotle crema, and squeeze of fresh lime tied everything together perfectly. Every bite had the right amount of freshness, crunch, and spice, and honestly... these are fish tacos I'll be thinking about for a long time. Next up were the fried shrimp and fries, and this plate completely exceeded my expectations. The shrimp were perfectly crispy without feeling heavy, and the jalapeño aioli absolutely stole the show. It had just enough kick to complement the shrimp without overpowering it, and I found myself dipping every single bite into it. Now let's talk about the fries... I know fries are "just fries," but these deserve their own moment. They were hands down some of the BEST fries I've ever had. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to absolute perfection. Every single fry was golden, crunchy, and somehow stayed that way until the very last bite. If you know me, you know I don't usually rave about fries... but these were next level. Of course, we had to pair everything with a couple of margaritas, because nothing says summer in New York quite like tacos, seafood, ice-cold margaritas, and waterfront views. Between the incredible food, the relaxed atmosphere, and being able to sit right on the pier with the NYC skyline surrounding you, this was one of those meals that just felt like summer. We found Cobble Fish completely by accident while walking around the Seaport during our trip to New York, and it turned out to be one of the best meals we had the whole time. started with the Baja tacos and the artichoke quesadillas, and honestly those were hands down the best fish tacos I've ever had. Great flavor, nothing soggy or overdone and really well balanced. Then we got the battered shrimp and fries. The shrimp were light and crispy, and pairing them with the jalapeno aioli was a total chef's kiss. The only downside was there seemed to be a lot more fries than shrimp in the basket, I wish the shrimp-to-fries ratio could've been better and I would have loved a few more pieces. We also tried the Codfather, which was packed with flavor and had that perfect crunch on the cod. But honestly, the best part was just being there, live music playing, a light breeze off the water, boats going by. It's a great spot to bring friends or family and just relax for a few hours. We started with an ice‑cold Michelob Ultra on draft -- a lighter pick -- and settled on the Crab Roll. Our server confirmed it wouldn't be drowning in mayo, which I appreciated. The only downside: the wait. A simple roll took about 45 minutes to arrive. Our server explained the kitchen was adjusting the mayo, and honestly, it looked like they skipped it entirely. But the moment we took a bite, all was forgiven. The Crab Roll is a must‑order. If you love delicately seasoned crab (with dill) on a toasted, buttered roll, this will exceed expectations. The setting is cool on the pier, but maybe we timed it wrong? It's next to the Beast boat ride line, and they pipe in music loudly, making it hard to hike a conversation (though an intesting soundtrack, at least). I ordered a fish sandwich that came in a sad grocery store bun with a little bit of fish. The fish tacos were good, though small servings. The chicken tenders went over fine with an eight-year-old, but he preferred the fries. The service was decidedly "eh." The woman who took our order was friendly, but a different woman came later, hovered for a little while, and then seemed uninterested before giving us the bill. We weren't going for drinks but I had a pretty nice tasting slushy very refreshing as this Wednesday was mugging. Then I had the Baja tocos with their crunchy spicy fries omg it was delicious. My nice had crunchy shrimp and fries sooo good. Service was very good and pleasant. Bonus is the restroom trailer so we didn't have to try to find a restroom in one of the nearby buildings! You order with the staff at the booth instead of ordering at the table. The vibe is great and the food was delicious, but we unfortunately didn't have the best experience today. - Service: We went around 1pm and it wasn't very busy at the time. We were sitting at the end of the restaurant, but after they served us our food, they didn't come around to check in on us and it was very difficult to get their attention. - Food: I ordered the Calm Seas Lobster Roll ($31+), which was mixed with celery, onion and mayo which I generally don't love, but it was delicious. The bun was so buttery, too. The only problem I had with the food was that I bit into something hard and discovered there was a piece of lobster shell in my lobster roll. I Had an unpleasant frustrating experience today 7/22/26 at cobbler Fish at the South Seaport . The service was absolutely horrible. I had to ask for water, in addition to asking the servers for lemons in which I never received, also requesting extra napkins. I ordered takeout, which was brought to me in a grimy greasy fingerprint box when confronted I was told that's how it came from the kitchen like it was no big deal. (Photo enclosed) The server Did not ask to change the box but instead gave me a rip,torn bag to put the box in. I am appalled with this outrageous service. I will not be eating there again. We went to Cobble Fish for lunch on the 4th of July. The restaurant offers a beautiful view of the East Hudson River, Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges, and the Brooklyn skyline. They serve fantastic seafood bites and sandwiches in a great atmosphere. The restaurant had covered high tables and a lounge area. We chose to sit at a high table. When we ordered, the staff offered us the special of the day which was a foot-long bacon-wrapped hotdog and a draft beer for $16. Who could say no to that on the 4th of July? We were so pleasantly surprised by Cobble Fish and would recommend it! We were at pier 16 for an event and wanted to grab food nearby and this was extremely convenient. Cobble Fish is a gem. This restaurant sits down on Pier 16, between the perpetually transforming Pier 17 and newly revamped Pier 15. Flanked by the Ambrose, East River, and a deep open pier Cobble Fish offers an unexpected hidden little escape. Once seated on the bright teal cushions within the white fencing you feel like you're actually at a nice waterfront somewhere- anywhere nicer than grimey NYC. It's intimate and cheery. Great unpretentious fun. Despite the presence of celery, which I don't mess with, the lobster roll is perfection. Comes in two parts with a lemon wedge, pieces of lettuce, and a few pieces of chips. The ratio of lobster to bread was perfect. There's a mouthful of perfectly tender lobster in every bite. The roll isn't an oily mess. I've had a variety of lobster rolls this summer up and down the shore from Montauk to Manhattan and this was my favorite. There's a restroom on site. EPIC RIVER VIEWS!! Spent the first hot evening of the season at Cobble Fish at the South Street Seaport and it was amazing! The waterfront views are unbelievable and just what we need during the warm seasons in the city. My first visit to Cobble Fish was an experience on to itself. Although there was a distance to walk to Cobble Fish, it was a chance to possibly have the closest thing to a Maine lobster roll. Cobble Fish's first lobster roll conjured up a taste experience from my ventures to Maine. The food smelled so good. I could not wait to eat my first Cobble Fish lobster roll and fish tacos. Food seasonings used for the lobster roll and fish tacos were temptations towards food goodness! Overall, the first lobster roll actually tasted how a lobster roll was supposed to taste. The lobster roll size was small and jammed packed with well seasoned lobster meat. The fish tacos were okay tasting and were not as good as the lobster roll. However, a second Cobble Fish visit to order another lobster roll and surf turf sliders had a completely different taste profile versus the first lobster roll visit. Something may have changed or maybe it was a different day of the week as a possible cause why the lobster roll had a starkly different taste? This second food visit was disappointing financially and by taste. The surf slider was a version of Cobble Fish's lobster roll placed on a bun. On the other hand, the turf slider tasted exactly as it should, which is good. As in food preparation, everything must return to its natural state and the same can be said about Cobble Fish's lobster rolls! read more

I actually had always been wondering what bar is making all that loud noise while I hang out on my sad lunch breaks by myself on the Seaport pier on the opposite side of the boats. Now I guess I know! One of my friends had their birthday here this past weekend. It was a weird reunion of friends I hadn't seen in pretty much an entire year. The space is kind of neat. In slightly warmer weather it's probably ideal with spf 70plus. The music selection was pretty good. I think largely because they put in a specific request to play older music instead of the top hits of whatever the hell is happening these days on tiktok. The waitress we had for our section was phenomenal. I came in and sat down and she was on me like a moth to a light with getting my order. I already preemptively looked at the menu online because I'm that weirdo. Went with a Nutrl vodka canned watermelon seltzer for my first drink because the canned beverages being around $8-10 seemed the most bang for your buck. The second drink I went with a canned Pina Colada and while this looked like a legitimate cup of milk when poured out it tasted incredibly boozy. The prices are moderate for the area and for being on the water. Maybe not so much with the food. I resisted temptation. The lobster rolls were really tiny for $28. They looked delicious but they looked like the appetizer to what would be my real dinner. But I think this is the type of place you come for a few drinks and enjoy the view and move on.
