The short rib grilled cheese is so addictingly yummy!! The tater tots were also perfection. The wings were alright as well. Smallest dining area, mostly just a bar, but there is one table great for people watching and enjoying the food. Overall solid food experience

Yes, this is a tourist spot but for some reason on a Sunday afternoon, it was pretty empty. We had a very enjoyable lunch with the cheapest bottle of Veuve ($100 bottle) in the city! We ordered the lobster roll and the build your own burger. The burger won. Fries were pretty decent as well. And the view and setting are unbeatable. I loved how the table seating is sectioned off my trees to give privacy. And there is plenty of all types of seating for your preference. We even moved to the ledge tables on the perimeter of the area with bar stools to change it up. I would recommend this place to take visitors. Bathrooms are super clean.

Fish & Chips meh flavor though crispy, fries bland

When restaurants change their fries from skinny to chunky I get so upset! Picture of proof they now have these gross fries which simply don't pair flavorfully with the fish. Service was fast and attentive and nice. All seating this day was on the platform not the boats along the side. For such a hot, humid day, it was super breezy and temperate. It's a nice vibe, but personally I wasn't impressed with the seasoning of the fish nor the fries for that price. The watermelon Fresca I ordered was mostly ice and watery not sweet as I inquired. FYI if you're sensitive to motion, the platform is actually not stable & staked, it was quite rocky. I couldn't stay. Anyway, nice environment, not my preference of food/bev, so eh take it or leave it.

I'd give this place a 3.5 if I could. I actually liked it here. Unfortunately the food just isn't worth it. There are just way better burgers nearby for half the price. It was a good burger but nothing special. Plus they charge you extra for toppings. Things like cheese and caramelized onions should be standard. The fries were really good though. I went with a friend who had the fish tacos. She wasn't impressed either. Didn't help that the food was pricey for something that's so mid. With that out of the way, everything else was good. My friend got a margarita that was only $10. She enjoyed it. The views were great. We came here at sunset and left at night. Eating on the boat and enjoying the views made it worth it. The self service was a great touch as well. This is a good place to enjoy the ambiance and get some drinks. It made up for the mid meal. I'd like to come here again in the future. Maybe something else on the menu can win me over. This is a good place to come on a date or with friends. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. If you're in the area and the weather is good it's worth the visit.

Wow! The location of this particular restaurant alone scores six stars all on its own. Absolutely front row seats to waterfront views and one of the most spectacular fireworks displays in the world for the Fourth of July. The event area consists of boats and barges moored together in the Hudson yard area on the lower west side of Manhattan. The staff was absolutely top-notch. Because we came here for a special event there were several layers of security that was exceptionally well coordinated with the NYPD and allowed us to access the venue without any delays. We actually observed the staff handle several 'ugly tourist' situations very professionally which was really impressive. Each of the different boats and barges offered different levels of service. We happened to select the one that had an open bar and buffet. We were greeted with a reception drink and light charcuterie. The food was very much Fourth of July barbecue style in spirit and included ribs (really good rub), chicken, and the most wonderful salmon and dill sauce. Sides included salads, pasta, vegetable dishes, and jalapeño cornbread that definitely hit the spot. Honestly, we were not expecting much from this buffet, but it was pretty good considering the size of the crowd that they were accommodating. Would love to return to this restaurant for a regular service to see how they do with à la cart food options. Understand this is a summertime hotspot for after work drinks which would be a great place to land!

The view from the top of the sun deck is really stellar. I'd say it's worth making a reservation for that alone. Next time, I probably wouldn't go for the fish and chips again, however, because they were okay but didn't rock my world, and something with more flavor (like perhaps my date's selection of Thai wings) would probably enhance the experience. Service was fine, but we had to go through at least four people who looked like hosts posted at different spots to find where we were supposed to be, and it was a little confusing. I'd like to return, try more of the menu, and catch more sunsets.

    Lobster roll

I've been coming here for 8 years, and I generally love this place. But I feel like the quality has gone down. The vibe isn't the same, the reservation seating is bizarre - and when we asked if we could sit somewhere else they said it was all packed, but then we looked at the area we wanted to sit in and it wasn't at all packed or had any reserved signs on it. $35 for a lobster roll is somewhat average to expensive, so I head hoping for a good amount of lobster, but it was so skimpy. It tasted fine, like an average run of the mill one but for $35, felt like it should have been $25. We also ordered a veggie burger , which was just falling apart, barely binded, could not eat. We kindly asked the server to switch to a regular burger, no problem, but for some reason it comes back without a bun and it was here you go and they immediately left. We couldn't stop laughing because it was so weird and ridiculous. General vibe is meh The band sounded great but they played the nut cracker. Idk, I might come back for like a single drink , but it's not what it used to be

There was only one other family dining, and the space stayed empty the entire time. The service was genuinely great. Friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere, and a really cute, cozy space. I especially loved the Christmas décor and overall vibe--it felt warm and inviting. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite live up to the prices. The house salad was $13 and honestly one of the most basic, smallest, and most boring salads I've ever had--very underwhelming for the cost. We also ordered quesadillas, a cheeseburger with fries, and grilled cheese with tomato soup. My son enjoyed the burger and fries, and the quesadillas were flavorful, generously filled with chicken and veggies, and came with sour cream, pico, and guac. The tomato soup was tasty, while the grilled cheese was just okay. One small but appreciated detail: canned soda. Cold, crisp, and not flat which is always a win. Lunch for 3 came in just under $100, which felt high given what we received. One frustration was being seated in a tight corner right next to the kitchen even though the dining room was completely empty. We were so close I could literally see into the kitchen and count items on the shelves. On top of that, the hostess repeatedly walked by calling out "corner," which became distracting and honestly a bit irritating. Overall, I liked the vibe, but the food-to-price ratio missed the mark for me. It wasn't bad--just alright.

Since my last visit, I had only ventured there once for a drink, but it had been far from a first choice. We grabbed seats at the rustic bar and enjoyed friendly service and pints of Kane Head High, my favorite beer. The crisp, refreshing brew went well with my cup of Chicken Noodle Soup. While that might sound like an odd "snack", I selected it because it was one of the few appetizers on the menu that was not fried. The broth seemed to interestingly be made of tomatoes and potentially other vegetables. It was packed with large, spiral noodles, shredded chicken, and fresh spinach. It was an interesting rendition for sure, but it was also very tasty, despite the fact that it was rather greasy. I was also bummed that it did not have more chicken and that it had not been served with any crackers. Oh well! Overall, it at least had left me with a much better impression than my last trip had.

The space was not large, but they really made the most of it, offering a decent number of tables with reasonable space between them. My friend and I were quickly seated and immediately greeted by a charming server that opened our bottle of wine (it's BYO) and offered us still or sparkling water. I had read in other reviews that you had to pay for water, so I was not surprised by the $6 bottle of Saratoga that wound up on our bill. In addition to our engaging server and the happening atmosphere, the food was similarly incredible. We decided to order a load of things to share, so that we could try a greater variety. We started with two appetizers that were seasonal Spring additions to the menu. The Hamachi Crudo included five thickly-sliced, tender pieces of Japanese yellowtail sitting in a broth of rhubarb aguachile and topped with white strawberries and basil seeds. It was an unique blend that we would not have expected to work, but boy was it delicious! The sweet toppings infused a load of flavor into an otherwise mild fish. We also enjoyed the Fava-mole, a creamy puree of fava beans studded with balls of hand-pulled mozzarella and pea tendrils, all drizzled with zesty ramp oil. I had not been sure what to expect from the dish, but it offered fresh, bright garden flavors. We also decided to share a pasta course and an entree. The Fettuccini was tossed with spring truffles and maitakes in a light, yet heavily aromatic, wild mushroom cream sauce. It was one of the best dishes I had had in quite some time. Then, as we were waiting on our seafood entree, we received a second pasta, courtesy of the Chef. I had mentioned that I had heard rave reviews about Flour from a server at Heirloom Kitchen, a top NJ restaurant. Apparently, our waiter had let the Chef know about that glowing praise, and the kitchen further verified that positivity with the generous gesture. In fact, they wound up sending out the Linguine with white clam sauce, razor clams, and wild ramps, the other dish about which I had been most curious anyway. Well, it was another winner! It was garlicky, herbaceous, and rich with flavors of the sea. Speaking of seafood, we next received the Branzino 'Bahn mi', a perfectly cooked piece of Mediterranean sea bass with Vietnamese sausage and pickled vegetables. The branzino's crispy skin and flaky, moist interior were excellent, and we loved all of the other smoky and briny flavors on the plate. After all of that excellent food, we would have loved to try one of their appealing desserts, but we were just too full. Between the ambiance, welcoming vibe, and delicious cuisine, our Flour experience was simply divine! It has now became one of my favorite restaurants in the area, and I cannot wait to try their pizza at some point as well.

I ordered the eggs Benedict that came with home fries or regular fries. It also came with a salad. I opted for the bacon. Everything was great- no complaints. The egg was perfectly runny, the hollandaise sauce flavorful and just right. I was very satisfied by the presentation and food quality. They had a special St.Patrick's Day menu for that weekend but I didn't try that. The dinner menu looks good so I would go back to try that.

The menu we had was specific to the tasting even but all made by the same everyday chef. The first course was white asparagus with a hollandaise sauce and that was so tender and delicious but light enough that I wasn't full at all. The second course was halibut with risotto and crab and there was so much meatiness. It was my favorite place and the flavors went so well together. Next was grilled oysters and I've never liked oysters but these were amazing! The bacon and breadcrumbs that had a slight lemon flavor went so well with the oysters. Next was lamb loin with stewed white beans and carrots. The lamb was medium rare, I could have skipped the beans but that's me. Dessert was a strawberry Terrine which was full of fresh and authentic strawberry flavor. I would come back and try their normal menu and also do a tasting again as it was delicious and reasonably priced.

Have to say, I've tried this place out a couple of times, and sadly I continue to be unimpressed…read morewith the food. Yesterday, my family and I came for breakfast/brunch. We ordered the lobster roll, the caesar salad, eggs benedict, french toast, and french onion soup. So a nice variety of different dishes. The only thing that didn't taste average was the French onion soup. It's not a terrible place to dine for breakfast, but I'm just saying there are probably better options in Hoboken. Service is great as always, though!
