    Carne Asada - not good
    Renata G.

I pretty much had to come here because it was an invite I couldn't turn down. Otherwise you wouldn't catch me here. Overpriced mediocre wannabe Mexican food. I'd say drinks are a strong suit of Anejo. And maybe if you're drunk enough then the food starts to taste okay. They also make great mocktails for the non drinkers. My carne asada plate was was very disappointing and I couldn't stomach the whole plate. The guac was okay but I do like that they constantly refill the chips. And another highlight was their tres leche cake..unexpectedly delicious. Sadly, I felt nauseous after dining here.

The food and atmosphere were great. The lunch portions and offerings were just right. The esquites could've used tajin, but overall good.

I wanted to give this place five stars but unfortunately the service caused it to lose two stars. My best friend and I visited on a Saturday evening with a 6 PM reservation and we're seated promptly. The venue was loud and beautifully decorated in Christmas decor. Everything started off well and we ordered appetizers. The waiter did not bring my friends drink, but perhaps he didn't hear it because the venue was so loud so we asked for it at a later time. After submitting our orders, we enjoyed the guacamole and salsa sampler and received many refills for the tortilla chips. The chicken dish that my friend ordered took quite a while, but we realized something was wrong when the people who were seated after us received their food first, as well as other patrons who came long after us. My friend and I were tired of eating chips and guacamole, and were waiting for about an hour until our food came. We actually had to complain to a manager who quickly rectified the situation. Benny, the manager was very apologetic and compensated to ensure that the rest of our evening went smoothly. He brought us appetizers to munch on and complementary drinks. When the food came, it was delicious but not worth the 90 minute wait. My friend and I appreciated the manager's service and we felt much better once we got food. Our server reappeared after an hour and mentioned being on a break, which we both thought was unacceptable. I would return to this venue with the hope that the service would be much better because every food dish that we ate was simply delicious, as well as the drinks. There just needs to be better communication amongst the service staff to prevent hiccups like this from happening again.

We got here just in time for happy hour. It was pretty busy but we were able to get in an order for happy hour just in time. The drinks and food were very tasty. I wish the food wasn't warmer and they served my dinner before serving appetizers for everyone. When I asked if they would take it back to keep it warm while I waited for my friends to be served they said "it all comes out as it is ready". Kind of odd and made me let my food cool off more while I waited for my friends to be served. Looks like they have a good brunch deal so I will try checking that out soon.

The octopus ceviche was incredible! It was not what I expected but I was pleasantly surprised by all of the flavors. Lamb tacos were tender and delicious as well. My server was so friendly and joyful and really made the experience so much better. The restaurant is lively and music is good, I got a great table as a walk in on a busy Friday night.

Wow this place is amazing! The food is so fresh and authentically made. We had their margaritas and they were absolutely delicious. The tacos were amazing- just thin tortilla, meats, and a light garnish. We tried their fish tacos, chicken al pastor tacos, and their lamb tacos. We ended up getting a 2nd order of their lamb tacos because that's how good they were. The service was amazing. We had our 8 month old with us and they gave us a high chair and made sure we were comfortable. As any child, he did have some small outbursts but we didn't feel rushed, awkward, and they reassured us to enjoy our meals and to not worry. The ambience is chic! It's roomy and spacious and the bar area is gorgeous. We can't wait to be back in SoHo for this specific spot!

Food was all very nice, as were the staff and the restaurant interior itself. The prices were. Little high for some things like the drink and guac, but I loved the warm chips served with the guac. I've been before, and I'll go again!

Ivan, the general manager, provided an amazing experience. I can't tell you enough what a great person he is. After traveling all day from California, we arrived late on a Friday night. At 11:07 pm, I called the restaurant to find out what time the kitchen closed. Ivan said it closed 7 minutes ago at 11:00. But he said that if I got there in 10 minutes, he could ask the guys in the kitchen if they can accommodate us. I told him that we were staying at the M Social Hotel and that I had to get an Uber and didn't know if I could get there that fast. He invited me to come anyways and to ask for him. The kitchen was closed for 20 minutes when we arrived at nearly 11:30 pm. When we arrived, Ivan welcomed us like we were his family. We were offered the full menu and were not rushed to order. They made us feel like they were not closing. It was as if they were just opening and they were very nice. The server asked me if I was interested in an alcoholic drink, but for health reasons I told him I could not drink. The next thing you know, Ivan shows up with a shot in his hands. He overheard that I don't drink, so he came over with a specially imported tequila. It has no alcohol. It's exclusive to the restaurant and you can't get it anywhere else law in the City. Ivan went out of his way to get me a special drink when I was content with just water. After I tasted the tequila, he made me a margarita with that tequila. This place is very high end and classy. It gets an A for ambiance. And the food is absolutely delicious. I swear, the chicken tacos may have been the best tacos I've ever had. And that's saying something since I'm from Los Angeles. When I first heard the kitchen closed 7 minutes ago, I thought I was going to starve or have to go to some late night dive. But I ended up having an extraordinary night. And it's all because of Ivan's hospitality and generosity. Thank you Ivan for the warm welcome on our first night in NYC. You made an ordinary night an extraordinary night. I will never forget it or your thoughtfulness.

What a great meal!! Añejo is featuring several new menu items, all delicious and all worth a try! The Lomo de Cerdo was fantastic!! Uniquely done with a crispy rice crust that added the perfect crunch against very tender pork and a sweet corn purée. The Shrimp Empanadas and Wild Mushroom Fundido were another hit! And I can't say enough good things about their desserts either! Do not sleep on their Flan or Cheesecake. It's incredible! Not to mention, you can now try their margarita flights that are structured like a tree and quite a vibe!!

I heard good things about this place and decided to try it out during happy hour times. First impressions, they definitely needed more lower top tables. Most of the seating were high tops and I'm not a fan of them. The host/manager/waiter was absolutely amazing each and every one of them. I've honestly never been to a restaurant with workers there that were just so happy, and just felt they're genuine energy. I loved it so much and I was extremely impressed. For an appetizer, we had the guacamole with pork rinds, tasted like any regular guac with pork rinds. It was good, but not amazing. For Andres, my friend, and I had the steak along with the Yuuka fries, still very good, but not out of this world. For the dessert we had some flan, it was a bit dense in my eyes, and I thought the cheese topping was weird, but it was recommended and we went with it. The best parts of the meal were the drinks. I had a happy hour Margarita, and after that I went ahead and tried some sort of coconut lime margarita, which was absolutely delicious. I would definitely come here again for the drinks.

Such a good dinner here! The service was amazing- we were very well taken care of by the wait staff. They were attentive and quick. This made dinner really enjoyable. The menu is STACKED so it was hard picking a few things. We went with the Birria, chicken and shrimp tacos, the salad and street corn. We loved EVERYTHING. Full of flavor and absolutely delicious. The cocktails were also delish, and they were happy to opt out tequila for vodka if thats not your choice of liquor. We willlllllll be back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bar + happy hour (it's also decorated for holiday season which is fun!) Selection of food for happy hour is filling and gives you a great sample of what's available on the regular menu. Favorites: - fish taco -- somewhat spicy, vinegar based slaw, crisp, full of flavor - Chicken Empanada - flaky crust, savory filling - charro old fashion - Smokey. Perfectly spiced. Just like a traditional old fashion but extra Smokey because of the mezcal Not my favorite: - Anejo Margarita is premixed on tap, but still decent. It has that premixed flavor, however, and not sure I'd get it again. Service was good for the bar.

5 stars for Anejo! Had the bottomless mimosas, French toast, and chips with guac--everything was delicious! The service was incredible--Charlie and Charlie took such great care of us, and it made the experience even better. (Happy Birthday, Charlie!) I absolutely love this place and will definitely be back. Also--Benny, I was looking for you!!

About 10 minutes before opening on a Saturday night there were some people waiting for the doors to open. Once we asked for a table, we were asked to step to the side so reservations could be checked in first. Luckily in a few minutes we were offered seats at the bar since they had full reservations that night. The bar was comfortable and the bartenders were great. I loved watching the cocktails being made and speaking of cocktails, they are excellent. The Bool included tequila, pomegranate and jalapeño; the other cocktail was a spritz of sorts and both were fabulous. The menu is Korean tapas, so we ordered a bunch of items to try. As each dish was served the server described the dish and even provided some instructions on the best way to eat it, if applicable. Tuna Tartare was quite good, the knife cuts were a bit inconsistent which was surprising given the level of everything, but the dish was still enjoyable; citrusy with crispy sunchoke chips. Oyster Mushroom Tacos were incredible. It didn't even feel like I was eating mushrooms. The tacos were so falvorful and balanced. If they ask you if you want to add a 4th taco to the dish, definitely say yes. Berkshire Kimchi Fried Rice served with a beautifully runny egg brought the spice and the dish was both elegant and homey at the same time. Just wonderful Birria Mandu served in a bone marrow consume was spectacular. Fried Chicken Wings, we opted for the sweet and spicy version served with kimchi daikon were sublime and addictive. They also provided a wet towel with the dish so you can clean up afterwards. Those 5 dishes were a good amount of food to feel satisfied, but we couldn't stop there and needed to try dessert. Do not pass up the Black Sesame Bread pudding, it was sublime. Served in a sizzling cast iron pan with candied almond slices and ice cream. It was so unique and really really delicious. The whole experience from the hostess to the servers to the food was A+ and I can't wait to go back.

There were two-three fairly larger hunkers which we had to cut up but otherwise flavor was nice. Next came the top sirloin cooked to medium with a bed of roasted carrot purée and a salsa sauce. The sirloin was seasoned nicely and cooked to perfection- very tender! By far my favorite dish! The calamari was a bit of a disappointment. It was fried too crispy and lost the calamari taste. The hamachi crudo was excellent, with a unique coconut and mango sauce that gave it a touch of sweet to go with the zest. And the pulpo was great, the octopus was well prepared and the sauce was hearty without dominating the taste. Here's what we ordered: ~ Tako Wasabi - 5/5 stars A fiery delight. This appetizer feartures chopped raw octopus marinated in wasabi. It has a lively zest from the wasabi and is topped with tobiko, which adds a pleasant contrast in texture. ~ Honey Makgeolli - 4/5 stars A traditional fermented Korean beverage that is light and pairs brilliantly with your meal. Some of the temaki stood out more than others. Our two sets included marinated salmon, bluefin tuna, spicy yellowtail, spicy bluefin, and two dynamite temaki. ~ Spicky Pork Ssam Set - 5/5 stars Truly another standout entree that even surpassed my beloved grilled BBQ bossam. You received a generous basket of assorte greens, including romaine, kale, perilla leaves, dandelion leaves, nappa cabbage, and more. It is well worth the price and makes for a fun, interactive dining experience with your family and friends. We got a lychee martini and a montepulciano wine which were both very good. For appetizers we got the octopus salad, and the hummus. Both were delish and fresh!! For dinner, got the branzino which was amazing and my friend got the seafood pasta. The dinner and the hostess checked on us and I believe the manager; a yall guy who was very friendly. He asked us to return. We originally were going to Avra but I liked what I saw on the menu and I believe it was the best choice!! I certainly plan to return. I told me buddy Wil and he just booked Feb 14 at 930pm!!! I hope they treat him well like they did me!!!

We popped in for a mid week dinner. We had a reservation but it didn't seem too busy but also not…read morequiet. The restaurant had a fun vibe with wine bottles and art on the walls. We shared a brunch of food, starting with the mezze dips. The chicken skewers were nice and moist and well seasoned. The burger was good but they charge extra for cheese which was a bit odd. The Dubai cheesecake for dessert was great.

This place is extremely overrated.. definitely not worth the hype. You need a membership to dine…read morehere, and occasionally they open it to the public. The photos and videos that you see on instagram do not match what you see when you arrive. The restaurant itself feels gimmicky and thrown together. Sure, the holograph on the wall was interesting to look at for 30 seconds, but that's about it. Our server, Nicole, didn't seem like she wanted to be there. The drink selection (especially if you're a rum drinker) was limited. The rum cocktail that I settled on was awful. The manager/owner? stopped by our table and greeted my husband, shook his hand but completely ignored me.... Very strange. Not a big deal for us, but if you are not used to paying $10 for water, an included gratuity or an additional "service fee", get used to it while dining here. The reason for the three stars you ask? While the menu is limited, everything we tried tasted good. The macaroni and cheese balls were my favorite and the mussels, although just a few, were tasty. Besides our assigned server Nicole and the manager, the staff at Casa De Lobo that we interacted with seemed generally friendly and happy to serve us. The pizzeria that you enter into had delish slices (we grabbed a few when leaving) and it was a cool "speakeasy entrance". I came, I saw, I won't be back.

mixed feelings about this place. i think it's a one and done for me, but i still enjoyed my time…read more first off, you need to make reservations and put down $25 on a CC, which you get taken off your bill. but there is an automatic 20% tip and $4 to $5 venue fee (WTF?). great service. sparkeling water is $10. small menu, not many options for veggie eaters. my friend and i split the cauliflower and although they looked weird, we loved these. the mussels in sauce were salty, but the broth were good. i think the amount of mussels is very small compared to the price. it comes with 2 pieces of bread, my fat ass requested more because the broth was pretty good. i didnt have a drink, but my friend loved her tequila drinks. dark decor, plenty of photo apps, big square bar and a lot of intimate tables. they do burlesque shows sat night, reservations highly suggested.
