Stopped in for a quick cocktail. HUGE variety of tequila and mezcal. Beautiful sunny dining room and bar. Welcoming staff. Delicious drinks.

I stopped in here for some cocktails and the vibes. I sat at the bar, though they offered me to sit anywhere I wanted. The bar seating is actually pretty comfortable, even for someone like me with short legs. I had the: un misterio dulce: mezcal, aperol, caramazlied pineapple. This one was light, fruity (but not too sweet), and refreshing. El padrino: bourbon and anejo, and granadina, with fresh orange. A little darker, moodier, still very good. Tepachito: tequila, tepache, agave. Also a little fruity number that was easy to drink. And the margarita. I thought this place would have a great margarita based on all the other dynamite drinks I had, but I'm pretty sure they just pour it out of a well. No thanks, won't try that one again and you should pass too. I sat there long enough that I became hungry, so I did get the fish tacos (flour tortilla) and the server recommended birria. The fish was fried, but light and brightened by the tangy slaw. The birria was rich and moist. I almost went with the mushroom quesadilla and I still wonder how that would've tasted! They have tons of tacos, quesadillas, and entrees, octopus, salmon, pork, empanadas, enchiladas. Service was great. Left them a huge tip.

Miriam was great. The birria tacos were pretty tasty. The music was good but really really loud. But honestly the restaurant loses a star only because they don't split checks! Rather inconvenient and rather skip out next time and go to an establishment that has more check convenience for big groups.

I pretty much had to come here because it was an invite I couldn't turn down. Otherwise you wouldn't catch me here. Overpriced mediocre wannabe Mexican food. I'd say drinks are a strong suit of Anejo. And maybe if you're drunk enough then the food starts to taste okay. They also make great mocktails for the non drinkers. My carne asada plate was was very disappointing and I couldn't stomach the whole plate. The guac was okay but I do like that they constantly refill the chips. And another highlight was their tres leche cake..unexpectedly delicious. Sadly, I felt nauseous after dining here.

I wanted to give this place five stars but unfortunately the service caused it to lose two stars. My best friend and I visited on a Saturday evening with a 6 PM reservation and we're seated promptly. The venue was loud and beautifully decorated in Christmas decor. Everything started off well and we ordered appetizers. The waiter did not bring my friends drink, but perhaps he didn't hear it because the venue was so loud so we asked for it at a later time. After submitting our orders, we enjoyed the guacamole and salsa sampler and received many refills for the tortilla chips. The chicken dish that my friend ordered took quite a while, but we realized something was wrong when the people who were seated after us received their food first, as well as other patrons who came long after us. My friend and I were tired of eating chips and guacamole, and were waiting for about an hour until our food came. We actually had to complain to a manager who quickly rectified the situation. Benny, the manager was very apologetic and compensated to ensure that the rest of our evening went smoothly. He brought us appetizers to munch on and complementary drinks. When the food came, it was delicious but not worth the 90 minute wait. My friend and I appreciated the manager's service and we felt much better once we got food. Our server reappeared after an hour and mentioned being on a break, which we both thought was unacceptable. I would return to this venue with the hope that the service would be much better because every food dish that we ate was simply delicious, as well as the drinks. There just needs to be better communication amongst the service staff to prevent hiccups like this from happening again.

We got here just in time for happy hour. It was pretty busy but we were able to get in an order for happy hour just in time. The drinks and food were very tasty. I wish the food wasn't warmer and they served my dinner before serving appetizers for everyone. When I asked if they would take it back to keep it warm while I waited for my friends to be served they said "it all comes out as it is ready". Kind of odd and made me let my food cool off more while I waited for my friends to be served. Looks like they have a good brunch deal so I will try checking that out soon.

The octopus ceviche was incredible! It was not what I expected but I was pleasantly surprised by all of the flavors. Lamb tacos were tender and delicious as well. My server was so friendly and joyful and really made the experience so much better. The restaurant is lively and music is good, I got a great table as a walk in on a busy Friday night.

Wow this place is amazing! The food is so fresh and authentically made. We had their margaritas and they were absolutely delicious. The tacos were amazing- just thin tortilla, meats, and a light garnish. We tried their fish tacos, chicken al pastor tacos, and their lamb tacos. We ended up getting a 2nd order of their lamb tacos because that's how good they were. The service was amazing. We had our 8 month old with us and they gave us a high chair and made sure we were comfortable. As any child, he did have some small outbursts but we didn't feel rushed, awkward, and they reassured us to enjoy our meals and to not worry. The ambience is chic! It's roomy and spacious and the bar area is gorgeous. We can't wait to be back in SoHo for this specific spot!

Food was all very nice, as were the staff and the restaurant interior itself. The prices were. Little high for some things like the drink and guac, but I loved the warm chips served with the guac. I've been before, and I'll go again!

Ivan, the general manager, provided an amazing experience. I can't tell you enough what a great person he is. After traveling all day from California, we arrived late on a Friday night. At 11:07 pm, I called the restaurant to find out what time the kitchen closed. Ivan said it closed 7 minutes ago at 11:00. But he said that if I got there in 10 minutes, he could ask the guys in the kitchen if they can accommodate us. I told him that we were staying at the M Social Hotel and that I had to get an Uber and didn't know if I could get there that fast. He invited me to come anyways and to ask for him. The kitchen was closed for 20 minutes when we arrived at nearly 11:30 pm. When we arrived, Ivan welcomed us like we were his family. We were offered the full menu and were not rushed to order. They made us feel like they were not closing. It was as if they were just opening and they were very nice. The server asked me if I was interested in an alcoholic drink, but for health reasons I told him I could not drink. The next thing you know, Ivan shows up with a shot in his hands. He overheard that I don't drink, so he came over with a specially imported tequila. It has no alcohol. It's exclusive to the restaurant and you can't get it anywhere else law in the City. Ivan went out of his way to get me a special drink when I was content with just water. After I tasted the tequila, he made me a margarita with that tequila. This place is very high end and classy. It gets an A for ambiance. And the food is absolutely delicious. I swear, the chicken tacos may have been the best tacos I've ever had. And that's saying something since I'm from Los Angeles. When I first heard the kitchen closed 7 minutes ago, I thought I was going to starve or have to go to some late night dive. But I ended up having an extraordinary night. And it's all because of Ivan's hospitality and generosity. Thank you Ivan for the warm welcome on our first night in NYC. You made an ordinary night an extraordinary night. I will never forget it or your thoughtfulness.

What a great meal!! Añejo is featuring several new menu items, all delicious and all worth a try! The Lomo de Cerdo was fantastic!! Uniquely done with a crispy rice crust that added the perfect crunch against very tender pork and a sweet corn purée. The Shrimp Empanadas and Wild Mushroom Fundido were another hit! And I can't say enough good things about their desserts either! Do not sleep on their Flan or Cheesecake. It's incredible! Not to mention, you can now try their margarita flights that are structured like a tree and quite a vibe!!

Such a good dinner here! The service was amazing- we were very well taken care of by the wait staff. They were attentive and quick. This made dinner really enjoyable. The menu is STACKED so it was hard picking a few things. We went with the Birria, chicken and shrimp tacos, the salad and street corn. We loved EVERYTHING. Full of flavor and absolutely delicious. The cocktails were also delish, and they were happy to opt out tequila for vodka if thats not your choice of liquor. We willlllllll be back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chicken tacos al pastor, rice and beans, braised need burrito and esquites

The food and atmosphere were great. The lunch portions and offerings were just right. The esquites could've used tajin, but overall good.

We do have coverings however our heat will not be available until next week.

How much is bottomless brunch during COVID? Is it still shared small plates or have they adjusted due to the times?

We are offering a $47 3 course bottomless brunch for 90 minutes every Saturday & Sunday. The first 2 courses are guac & salsa followed by our signature French Toast. There is a choice entree for the 3rd course and bottomless brunch cocktails for…

There are no signs, and you walk up a set of steps and through a thick curtain to get inside. It's tucked into an old brownstone and very easy to miss. We went right around 7pm, and it was completely empty. That actually makes sense since Broadway shows start around then, so it's a great time to hit a bar or restaurant in the area. We sat at the bar. Service was a bit mixed. The bartender we had wasn't very friendly, but we did get our drinks without issue. We ordered a couple of Mexican mules and a martini. The martini was fabulous -- definitely the standout. Unfortunately, the mules were not great. I was also hoping for some specialty or holiday cocktails, but there weren't any. That said, the space itself is beautiful and has a cool, hidden-gem feel. The other staff we interacted with were very nice -- we just happened to get the grumpy bartender. Would I go back? Probably not, but only because there are so many other places in NYC I'd want to try. Still, it's a cool spot (if you can find it).

And my goodness, they was full of holiday spirit!!! From the moment we walked in, the inside was decked out with crazy amount of decorations. You go up the staircase to upper level to the main dining area. It was called Frosty's Christmas Bar inside the Bacall's, and it sure was spectacular. Decoration in every inch of the place, from top to bottom. In addition to that, they had a few photo-op spots, which were really fun too. We ordered some drinks, Meet Me at Bacall's, Espresso Martini, and White Sangria. I liked that they had some blueberries in the Meet Me at Bacall's and the White Sangria. All the drinks were all nice and tasty, and a good portion too. For food, one of us ordered Braised Short Rib, but we somehow received Filet Mignon... Since the server never really came back to check on us, we just had that. It was a nice dish, although it was not what we ordered. Linguini Vongole was nice, the pasta was cooked well, coated in the flavorful sauce. It had a good amount of clams. Steak Frites was tasty. The steak was cooked just the way I wanted, juicy and flavorful. It was a nice sized steak, very filling too. The fries were addictive, went great with the steak. For dessert, I was very interested in their layer cake. I saw a few pictures of it, and looked really good. Bacall's 16 Layer Cream Cake looked different from the pictures I saw, which was all ivory color. The one we received was festive with red and green, perfect for holiday dessert. Unfortunately, it only looked good. Each layer of cake was a bit tough, and not as creamy as I thought it would be. Good thing we also ordered Japanese Cheesecake, because it was quite good. I was very curious what makes it "Japanese" cheesecake. When it arrived, I got it. The cake was round and stacked on top of each other, looks like popular and famous Japanese soufflé pancakes. We had a fun dinner there, with overload of holiday decorations. The atmosphere was perfect to take in the holiday spirit. However, we couldn't say the same for the service. At the beginning, it was ok, but then we felt like we were forgotten by our waiter. The place was not that busy when we visited... He never really came by to check on us, or brough our check. We had to get whoever else around to get our check. When we saw that they already included 20% tip to the check, although there were just three of us, we understood the bad service. If they thought they are going to get 20% tip regardless, then they might think they don't need to provide good service... Bringing the wrong dish, never checking on us, etc. Regardless to say, we were disappointed with the service. But, it was a fun place to go visit during the holiday season.
