Or favorite Walmart. We visit at least one or twice a week. Usually pretty well stocked (grocery), but improvement is needed - hence the 4-star review. The store manager is VERY helpful and always working hard all over the store! She was helping us one day and I realized she was the store manager and was very impressed at how much she cared about our small inquiry. Store is always busy as you expect, but they keep it all moving! Over all I recommend this store. read more

Worst Walmart I have ever been to. Asked more than 5 workers to help me find an item and each person said something different and were not helpful or willing to help. One guy said he would check the back to see if there was stock and he did not come out for 30 minutes and had us waiting. Many workers were not wearing gloves and their masks were below their noses. The store itself felt very unorganized and did not seem like it was maintained well. It also seemed like they were not limiting capacity and the store was extremely crowded and jampacked. Overall, had a horrible experience at this Walmart. read more

I didn't see any type of sanitization going on. I couldn't find any wipes for the cart. I had an internet order which I was supposed to pick up. An employee told be to go to the service desk to do so. Well, that was a long line. 20 minutes later, I get to the service desk and she tells me to go the pickup spot, which was in a closed area of the store. So, I go there, find the kiosk, put in my order number. Kiosk tells me someone will get my order momentarily. Wait another 15 minutes, nothing. Another employee again tells me I need to go to service desk. Uhm, I was already there and I'm certainly not going to wait in line again to be told I need to go to the pick up spot. I'm now fighting to get my order fully refunded. read more

Cheap prices = crowded parking lot. I usually just park in the back and walk off some extra calories. Always solicitors at the front door...ALWAYS!!!! Has somewhat a country feel to the place and it's Poway, so yeah...that's all I got to say. I don't mind going through these conditions to save some money. Actually got a pretty nice TV stand here. Food is cheap, but I only buy shelf items and not cold, perishable ones. Check the expiration date! Not the prettiest place to shop but not pigsty dirty either. Hey, Walmart lives off razor thin margin profits and will have to make money somewhere so they probably shave off wherever they can..wages, cleanliness, bulk, etc.. OK. It's Walmart and therefore I cannot say I am a fan. I still giggle everytime I go to the people of Walmart website! However, when you are kitting out a new home there are a ton of things you need and you don't always want to be hunting around a lot of stores. So we came here. This is the worst ever! Apparently it's ok to say you won't wear a mask in the store and they will not say anything but they won't let you bring your grocery bags in. Maybe so they can charge you for bags? Target has been allowing bags in for a few weeks now as long as you bag your own items. In don't go to Walmart often because is think it's a horrible company. I was in the Poway Wal Mart last week with a co-worker. This was not by choice. I never ever shop there, because I think their company ethics are deplorable. While browsing the iles, my co-worker told me a funny story. She has a friend from Romania, and he had told her aweful stories of working in Romanian sweat shops in his youth. Then, when he moved to the US, he got a job at Wal Mart. He said working at Wal Mart was essentially the same as working in a Romanian sweat shop, except Wal Mart has air-conditioning. I guess that's a slight improvement, eh? read more

I'm rating this a 4 star in comparison to other Walmarts. Because obvi Target is my face place to browse and waste $$, but Walmart is where you get your good deals on the basics. is a relatively clean store in comparison to many Walmarts I've been to, and people are generally friendly and helpful anytime I've come in to ask for where a product is or even when making a return. This is a *super* center Walmart which is *super* convenient! You need socks, a rotisserie chicken, and Pepto Bismo- you can have it all ;) the store is pretty organized and usually things are in the right place, exept the shoe area can get a lil hairy. Otherwise, it serves the purpose. Priced are way better than Target for almost all your basics (toiletries, socks, food). Produce- wayyy better selection and variety (even organic) than Target. I strongly dislike Target's very sparse produce selection and high prices. The clothing and decore are definitely lacking though compared to Target. This is definitely my go to spot for stocking up on basics! read more

This Walmart deserves zero stars.This is my second Incident .Today I went in to pick up a fan that I had bought and left at the register .Keep in mind I had called 10 min after I had left the fan and they told me no problem bring my receipt and they would have it at customer service for me.So I go in and the "team lead" CARLA who should not be in a leadership position at all, comes up to me and asks me what I need .I let her know my item was waiting for me at the office in customer service and I had brought the recite like they had asked .While she's talking to me she starts arguing with her coworker and walks away from me while there's a line that her coworker was helping .So inappropriate.I could hear there whole conversation.Once there done arguing ,Carla starts walking to the office thinking she was going to grab my fan .No! Wrong she turns to the coworker and tells her she's going on break.She literally walks past me twice .I let her walk away and I waited .At this point 30 min pass and Still no fan ! Thankfully the manager Aryan assisted me and handled the situation well.Overall,Customer service need work and they should refrain there staff. read more

This Walmart is practically hidden. Its also pretty small compared to others that Ive been to and the tool selection is dismal. What am I doing in Poway anyway ? I dont know, somehow I happened to be in the area. It does have a small town feel here and I could have swron that I heard a Texan accent or two. Maybe it was a southern accent. Service is terrible in every section at Walmart. I will no longer be shopping here and will be going to Target instead who provides excellent value and customer service. Don't buy clothing at Walmart because they will not allow any returns as I discovered this week. They allow all sorts of other returns - even bicycle seats, and many other items...but no clothing at all. The staff inform you to go home and initiate a return online, which when you do you will discover they don't provide a free return label. You just get to print out your "return" request which will only be returnable when Walmart Poway decides they are going to allow clothing returns once more. They've lost our family as a customer and I will happily give a worthy Target my money. Integrity and customer care matters to us. Walmart should provide a free return shipping label since they are preventing us from bringing clothing returns. Their actions clearly demonstrate that they don't care about the customer. read more

Normally I have a good time shopping at Wal-Mart but I've just recently started going to this location and I've never encountered management that is as rude as this place. Specifically I dealt with Rana today first when she rudely gave me a hard time over a simple return that was well within the return policy because another manager approved it and then when she saw me checking out later at a register she saw I was paying with a $100 bill and told the cashier right in front of me make sure you check that bill and even the cashier was like wow that was rude. I'm def bummed that this is the Wal-Mart closest to my new place. Just be warned that if you shop here the managers will be rude to you for no reason... read more

I tried their grocery shopping online and reserved a pick up time. Been sitting here in their designated parking for pick up for 20 minutes now and my grocery items are not here yet. On top of that I ordered a men and women shaving cream. And I understand that if the brand is not available they will substitute with something similar. Well the aveeno women shaving cream is not the same as the edge men shaving cream. That was a fail! I have tried target's service and it doesn't compare to walmart's. read more

I don't know why everyone hates on Walmart. This location has tons of parking and is very clean! I came here to grocery shop for the first time and I am impressed! All the shelves were well stocked and organized and you can't beat the cheap prices either! The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly and eager to provide the best customer service possible! They have self check out lanes with about 10 self check out kiosks so if you have fewer items then this is a great way to get in and out quickly. I am so ashamed to admit that I shop here. For a long time it was on my boycott list, but hello bad economy and pay cut in work hours, and Walmart and I are now once again, acquaintances. The recessionista in me will accept no other at this point and time, especially since we go here for bottled distilled water. Yes, I said bottled DISTILLED water. Have you read the San Diego water report for 2011? I have. Disgusting. I'll pay the 79 cents per gallon on DISTILLED water. But I think I still get a better deal from Costco on snacks, organic shampoo, my husband's 2 liter bottles of Coca Cola classic, and other various kitchen and pantry items, but Walmart has any of the local grocery stores beat on small things like kosher salt, canned beans, and baking goods (unless buying in bulk, then Costco or Smart & Final still win). Also things like teen boys underwear and undershirts are such a good deal here. Things are like $1 less than Target for brand name packages of Fruit of the Loom and Hanes. Walmart even sells my favorite Southpark and Spongebob Squarepants panties real cheap (stop laughing, I love my panties) but I wouldn't buy bras or any fancy underwear here if you expect them to last. The quality is cheap, yo. But the plain cotton goods are just like you'd find them anywhere else. But my shame... my shame will not let me be at peace every time I walk through their double glass sliding doors. read more

I love that they sell fabric! The grocery section is nice to have. The parking lot is a drag though. There's a mcDonalds inside but the most longer have the $1.00 large drinks at that location. It's pretty easy to navigate though the store. All in all a good Walmart read more

This Walmart is pretty good. The location is super convenient and close to other stores in Poway when I am out running errands. The selection is good and the prices are low. What more can you ask for? We've also gone to their auto center and have been very pleased. They have been helpful and affordable. A great mix when your car needs work! Sometimes there are too many people outside trying to collect money, which can be an annoying pain in the ass. But, on the plus side, I haven't actually seen too many shoppers who would qualify for "The People of Walmart" pictures either, so that's a positive! Overall, I'd recommend this Walmart. read more

Constantly have issues with rollback prices not loaded in systems and when you get to checkout they charge full amount then make you go to customer service after taking a photo of the rollback sign. Terrible process and customer service. Then they make some lady in a yellow vest walk with me all the way back to the item in isle to show them the rollback sign again! During the process the yellow vest lady kept stopping to talk to other staff and I mentioned I was on a time constraint and she ignored me. Super frustrating. Walmart does have great prices but their processes leave much to be desired. read more

I have never liked shopping at Walmart but now Poway only have one other grocery store where the prices are much higher. So the option is Walmart. Lately the check out lines are incredibly long and they only have a few checkers so most go for self checkout. My problem is at least a third of the self checkout registers are closed are not working. If you're going to close the self checkout please have more checkers. read more

I love this walmart. Some of the staff there are super friendly and very helpful. I been finding good bargains that is so worth it. The rotisserie chickens, xl pizzas, sandwiches and also salads are so worth it especially when they are marked down half off. Clothing is very cheap too. read more

WALMART IN POWAY, CA I live in a rural area, and this Walmart is the closest one to me.... at 25 miles away....Anyway, I'm looking for a basic PCI express sound card, for desktop Audio compting (yha I know, old school) So the Walmart website, FOR THAT STORE!!! Showed the carried a variety in PCI and VGA, for cheap, (buy the way...Best buy is the same deal as this, no pun) I get there and the 20 year old salesboy, looks at me like i'm speaking Russia....had not a clue. and tried to sell me a $98 Radon GRAPHIC card, with no integrated audio???? then I proceeded to best buy...ten miles further, their website said they carry them also.... it was a repeat of the Walmart thing exactly. These websites lie, and that cost me 60 mile round trip...and I'm no closer to fixing my computer problem read more
