Went to this Zara store at the UTC Westfield mall. It's convenient location if you want to visit multiple brands. It has a good selection for women, kids, and men's clothing. Good prices although sometimes the quality isn't great. Service is hit or miss and some employees are indeed dismissive as other reviews mention. read more

Big thank you to Esppy for being so kind to my mom! We were shopping their sale today and when we went to go check out my mom had to do a couple of returns and wanted to purchase a few new items. We only bought items within the sale and to our surprise the total was way larger than expected (120$ overcharged to be exact) We asked the young cashier about it and she shrugged her shoulders and said she doesn't know. Honestly our experience with her was not the kindest but Esppy made it so much better! She helped go through our receipt and all clothes we bought to find out what exactly was overcharged, we were able to figure things out and were properly charged with the sales price! Literally the worst customer service I have ever encountered at a retail establishment. Asked for a garment bag - they didn't have them which was fine, but then I was supposed to walk around the mall with clothes on a hanger in other stores? . I then asked for a bag and she shoved the clothes into a tiny bag meant for cologne. I bought a beautiful skirt and a top. She didn't say anything rude. Zara has lost my business. I spent thousands this Christmas at this store for gifts. My son in law tried to exchange a shirt that was to small and because it's over 30 days from purchase the won't allow even an exchange. Every other company extends 30 days from Christmas but not Zara. Why even give out a gift receipt if this is your policy. The staff was very rude. I am honestly shocked at the behavior of the girl who was on her phone yesterday (behind the counter kneeling). She suddenly popped up out of nowhere and said, "Yes?" with an attitude. She was irritated to be working. I was at the UTC Zara to return items from an online order. Her demeanor was so rude. From start to finish, she was there in a MOOD. It's terrible customer service. I asked her for directions to my next store....do I go left or right out of here? She replies "You can use your maps". All with an attitude. When it looked like all items had been scanned, I stood there waiting and she rudely says, "um, you're done". I said "Oh, what about a receipt?" and she goes, "You can find it online." I had to wait for a confirmation of the return email while at the mall because who knows!? I asked for her name at the end and she says rudely, "I don't have to give it to you". Everything about the conversation was hostile. I started to walk away and the woman waiting next chimes in, "I am with you! I have been listening to this interaction and she's so incredibly rude". I proceeded to find the manager, Brian, on my way out of the store and I relayed how my transaction went with this employee. No one seems to be held accountable. Hopefully, Brian documented the complaint and took action. Zara needs to really vet its employees and train them on customer service. Based on the 1.5 star review average on here, I would be really looking into how to make the customers happier. I never take the time to write a review of anything because generally, life is great. I'm not surprised to see so many 1 star reviews for this store. Since the items I was looking for are not available in stores, the sale person offered to help place the order online to be picked up from the store so I paid at the store with my CC. Then I waited for more than 3 weeks but the items only showed as shipped but never arrived at the store. I called customer service and they said the items not available so they cancelled the order. Since I did not receive the refund so I called customer service again and they told me to go to the store since it's the most simple way that the store would initiate the refund. So I went to the store talking to the manager and she said that the refund cannot be done since there no items to return, and told me to call online customer service. I called customer service again the next day and was told to check my email for instructions. I never received any emails regarding my refund only advertising. I finally give up and dispute the charge with my American Express CC. Very BAD experience with ZARA customer service and looks like it's so common with others as well. read more

I drive from Temecula to shop at this store. I purchased items and did not get a receipt nor the cashier didn't scan my app like I had asked. I only found out when I was trying to exchange my son's jeans and it was not saved on the app or I was given a copy. All I wanted was to exchange it for a larger size!! I was told to call customer service and they can give me a code to do the return. I was on the phone for 30min and the guy on the phone couldn't find my receipt even when I gave him the card information and date I purchased the items. He couldn't find it! I finally hung up the phone and left the store without exchanging the jeans. It's crazy how with all the technology, your registers can't find a copy of the receipt through the purchase card?! Why on Earth you do not open your fitting rooms? I've stopped by on 4 separate occasions and fittings rooms are closed. Weekday, weekend. Morning, evenings. Why do you even have fitting rooms if they are closed? Last time I was there over the weekend during middle of the day. I literally asked an associate what's going on and he only smiled and said "it is because of the overflow"... but what does that even mean? I guess Mission Valley Zara it is and what's up with this never ending checkout line? I usually I don't have the best shopping experience here at UTC Zara, even though it is the bigger store compared to the one Fashion Valley. This shopping experience is very important to me as do all my clothes shopping in the store these days and want to feel respected as a long time customer. Gianna in the women's section did a FANTASTIC job of taking care of me and answering all my questions today, I had such a great time talking with her and she even made some really great clothing suggestions that I loved - I ended up getting those too!! The store is a bit of a mess with clothes everywhere and it's pretty disorganized. The fitting rooms are still not open, which is weird because other stores allow shoppers to use the fitting rooms. It might look cute on the rack, but when you buy it and try it on, it really isn't worth $50 lol. I just visited the UTC La Jolla location and as a customer witnessed the most upmost professionalism from Ana Sophia. She was alternating between return and purchase transactions and was met by unnecessary hostility from a customer as it was not their turn to approach the register. She kindly explained the current system and maintained her composure and professionalism as the customer began to raise his voice at her. I was lucky enough to have Ana Sophia ring up my transaction for me and she was nothing but pleasant! read more

Customer service is terrible. So many people working, but no one is really working. Upstairs registers are always closed, which means the main register has a line as long as an attraction ride. They want returns and purchases separate, and don't care if you're waiting 20-30 minutes in the return line. I checked my handy Yelp app and was shocked with the flood of negative reviews so I wanted to check it out to form my own opinion. Zara is a trendy store with moderately priced mens and womens clothing. The clothing is geared towards 20-30 somethings who are lean and whimsical. I did manage to find a few things to try on and the sizes run small. I decided to give this place a second chance. The customer service here is disgustingly poor. The associates don't help, when asking a question they act as if you are bothering them or simply just ignore the fact that you're there. If you hate your job that much why are you working there? They kill the overall experience of shopping here. I went to return a shirt that had an issue with the stitching and they said I couldn't return it due to the tags being off of it. I had the receipt for it but they still couldn't even exchange it? Where in the policy that it states this? When I asked for a shoe size the guy said they had none in stock but online it said they had them. So which one is it? They just don't care? treat customers poorly? I really HATE the Zara store at UTC!!! The line is always soooo long, it drives me crazy. They don't have enough registers and never enough employees to handle the sales and returns in a timely manner. The staff is always rude and love to act like whatever your asking is not their job! When you do a return they have to hang up every piece & put a security alarm on as you do your return, which slows down the process to a stand still snail pace. It is very apparent that customer service is not Zara's priority concern ! For such a large company they should really be better organized so they don't annoy their customer so much that they feel the need to post it ! P.S.
