My daughter bought a very nice styled dress for her high school winter formal. She paid for this dress with her money; by tutoring & babysitting. It's assumed these dresses are a one wear product; so at 60$ you'd think it would at least last for the 4-5 hour long occasion. Nope, one spaghetti strap popped as she was getting in the car, the other at the dance. The few stitches holding it together unraveled. She went safety pinned up and we crossed fingers there would be no more damage for the rest of the night. Just realize this dress store is all style but no substance. I love Windsor clothing and I'm so familiar with their sizing. However, this location never has anything left on their clearance racks during a sale. Either they are putting out very little or everyone is just beating me to it but they hardly have anything good on the racks. Customer service was 100% I believe I spoke to the manager Sydney over the phone. When I arrived to the store Sydney greeted me, while she was assisting other customers. She asked me what I need it and I didn't wait more than 5 min even though she was helping her current customer. I want to highlight Vanessa, not sure how long she's been working there, but I'm happy Vanessa was there tonight. She went the extra mile and literally put a whole outfit together for me. I hope they get commission because I literally bought everything she recommended from shoes, jewelry, dress, and fur coat, and few other few things. Vanessa has an eye for style which I appreciate it very much. I was in such a rush if it wasn't for her I would of came home disappointed. I didn't get what I had in mind or what I wanted, but I got something ten times better. I hope to see Vanessa grow with this company or even become a designer fashionista! When I get compliments on that day I'm going to make sure Vanessa name is mentioned. I will definitely be coming back to this store to get more outfits :) The only thing I would suggest is to try to keep the dress that have sequence away from satin /silk dresses. Super trendy and good quality. I'm always amazed at what I am able to find. I have been to a few Windsor locations and this one is similar to most. I came here to try and find a last minute Cruella de Vil costume after mine was lost in the mail. Not only did I find the perfect dress, but they had a faux fur shawl for $20. I was planning on stopping at Party City for one that was priced at $40 and BEYOND cheap quality, so I was ecstatic to find one here by chance. I was helped by Varessa she greeted me and asked how I was doing and I was completely honest and told her how overwhelmed I was shopping last minute for a dress to attend a wedding. I was with my kiddos and I really appreciated her grabbing what I needed quickly and efficiently as I knew my kids patience would wear out. She was kind and understanding I had my hands full. I let her know my Size and colors of interest and she helped me pick exactly what I wanted, a long formal dress with shoes and a discreet bra for my gown. Sometimes you don't know how anxious a momma can get in a store but Varessa was sure to help me from start to finish to make it a smooth process. From helping with different options to comforting me through a decision, she was the sweetest soul. This is my 3rd time shopping here and I'm never going back. When I asked to get a fitting room, one of the sales associate thought I was going to steal! She did a count and inspected every single item before letting me close the door, never experienced that anywhere, and I shop A LOT (Nordstrom, Free People, Sephora, Zara(and these sales associates are known for lacking CS), Levi's, you name it). Then when I was ready to checkout, I took out an item from my Windsor bag (from a previous purchase and a discount code) to do an exchange....the cashier was also rude, KEPT asking me why I wanted to do an exchange? Ma'am, I literally changed my mind and instead of asking for a refund I'm actually walking out with more items. This interaction happened around 1:40ish pm (9/12/24). Last week (9/5) was such a different experience, can't recall her name but she was super friendly and welcoming. Came dress shopping with my mom and sister and there were nice selections, but the customer service could have been better. The young girl working the fitting room kept aggressively asking how many pieces of clothing I was trying on. I know the limit is 6. Alisha helped me find not only the dress I wanted to wear to my event but also some confidence. I just wanted to highlight her helping me in the dressing room I believe the day was 11/05/22. I was more needy and indecisive than usual and asked her questions several times and went to the fitting room twice. (I would have been annoyed if I was the person working). I live by mission valley mall and shop there frequently. Almost every time I shop at Windsor the employee's are so snobby, as if they hate their job. Windsor is always my go to, they have such cute clothes but the customer service is horrible. At least it has been for me. Probably one of the worst fitting room customer service experience ever... and I work retail so i'm not just making this up. Young short girl working the fitting rooms clearly seems like she hates her job and doesn't want to be there.... I smiled at her and she didn't even greet me (probably because I interrupted her conversation she was having with a co-worker as there was a line of 3 people waiting to use the fitting rooms) she just snatched the clothes from my hands and put me in a fitting room.... then proceeded to bump into me later in the store and didn't even say sorry? Not one word came out of her mouth while assisting me like AT ALL and her vibe was so negative... I understand people have bad days but if you can't keep your composure then you're better off finding a job other than retail. Strongly recommend retraining your employees on better customer service. The cashier on the other hand was lovely and sweet but definitely never coming back to this location, should've just trusted my gut and went to the one in Plaza Bonita. read more
