ALL WARM DRINKS

This place refuses to fix the front of store cooler, it has been down for months and all of the salads and drinks are warm!

Confirmation 10/19 & Cancellation 10/25. Pickup scheduled for 8am, 10/26.

I actually decided to give Walmart a try this year with my birthday cake. I turn 40 years old on 10/26 and was picking up a 6" cake from the bakery. I placed the order in person. I received a text message on Friday, 10/25 that my order had technical difficulties. When calling in, I was transferred to a lead of the department after routing through the service desk & an initial gentleman from bakery/deli. The reason my order was indeed canceled was because they had an influx of cake orders come in and they only have 1 person to do the cakes at this time. This is where customer service comes in. There wasn't a phone call to me to apologize for the inconvenience. They also gave me less than a 24 hour cancellation. To add, there wasn't an offer to simply pull a cake from the shelf or offer any other solution. The result simply is me snagging one from Fry's or Albertson's which is where my gut told me to go. So much for treating myself to the cake I wanted. Oh well.

Walmart has corn bread and cube stuffing for about two dollars and fifty eight cents before tax. Whenever I go to Walmart it tends to be crowded with lots of people. The lines are always long. I have yet to go and be the only person in line. I need to figure out when it will be less crowded. They have self check out which is nice. The parking lot is always a hassle for me too. Seems like people don't look when they are backing up they car. They have lots of items for sale. The range of items they sell is shocking.

We ordered my son's birthday cake on January 10, 2025. The cake was scheduled to be picked up on February 8, 2025. Two days before his birthday party, on February 6, 2025, the baker cancelled our order. We called the bakery department to see what happened. They claimed they ran out of ink. Now we are scrambling two days before his party to find another baker. I called Wal Mart and requested to speak with the manager. A "team lead" took down my complaint and said someone would resolve our issue today. I was never called back.

They served moldy peaches in our grocery pick up order. This is disgusting and unacceptable. Please don't give customers spoiled food. It wouldn't be that hard.

Rude employees, a lot of time what your looking for isn't in stock, isn't the cleanest, and did I mention rude employees?

They offer a great selection of ready-made foods, along with a wonderful variety of fresh options including fruits, vegetables, and meats like beef, chicken, and seafood. The frozen section is also impressive, with plenty of delicious and convenient entrée choices. One of the best parts of shopping here is the unique items you won't find anywhere else--fun snacks, creative chips, and distinctive candies that keep things interesting every visit. Their flower selection is also worth mentioning--beautiful arrangements at prices that are hard to beat. The cherry on top is the amazing staff--always friendly, helpful, and genuinely pleasant. I see Trader Joe's like how I see Target: You think you're gonna go in for a few items but you always walk away with half the store. "I'm just here for the Triple Ginger Snaps." Then why are you grabbing jars Speculoos Cookie Butter, packages of frozen kimbap, boxes of frozen mac 'n cheese, a stalk of Brussels sprouts, and tubs of clam chowder and lobster bisque? And really, do you need another pot of succulents or basil that will just die in this Arizona heat? Yeeeeeees, of course you do~ So grab your cool looking Trader Joe's reusable bags [go green!] and shop here! Their seasonal items and holiday items are always fun to peruse.

The rumor was true...and they had most of their staple teas and juice cocktail drinks to choose from! Being the first time in a WinCo store, I was impressed by the size of the place and the name-brand selections they carry for some items. The aisles were wide and easy to navigate. What was supposed to be a quick grab and go of beverages turned into 45 minutes of shopping for many items. They have fresh-cut meats and fresh-caught seafood in the back of the store. Their frozen food section was also quite large compared to standard grocery stores. They carry fresh produce as well! On the way out, there was a large sign saying this is an employee-owned company. That's pretty neat I'm not handing my money to a large faceless corporation, but to a consortium of employees. WinCo may become a once a month or once a quarter stop to restock some of our family favorites!

The staff doesn't just do their jobs, they do them with a level of patience and genuine kindness that you don't forget. Whether it's someone helping you find something or just a quick interaction at checkout, it never feels rushed or transactional. It feels human. There's a calm, helpful energy throughout the store. People seem willing to go the extra step without making it feel like a big deal, which is exactly what you want but rarely find. Also worth noting, the store runs efficiently. It's organized, things are easy to find, and the overall experience just works. But what really sets it apart is the people. That's the difference-maker here. You leave with your groceries, but you also leave with the impression that you were actually treated well. That's not common.

It was nice to browse while waiting for my number to be called to order my tea. I was so tempted by all of the fun drinks that they have on the menu, but I stuck to what I came in for the decaf flavored teas. Today I went with a blueberry lavender and it is so delicious and such a pretty color. I also love how great of a deal it is for a 32 ounce large tea. The staff was also very friendly, and they were also working very hard to help every customer who was trying to get a bakery item or drink. I also love the outside patio area with a very pretty fountain and seating area. I will definitely be back for more tea in the future.

During lunch hours they have a great salad bar. The food is good but can be slightly pricy depending what you select. It's a great place for those who may want different fare to get their meals and meet on the patio to enjoy the beautiful Arizona weather! I also love their variety of green and black teas and other drinks. Their tea hits the spot on the hot days and their refills are only $1! The few items I've sampled from the boulangerie have been good (those pesky lemon bars are always calling my name). Service can be hit and miss...the workers are friendly but they can be tied up on orders. There's checkouts up front, in the boulangerie and in the back by the pizza/sandwich station so if one's busy you can try another. Besides the lunch and snacks...there's more...like an entire store! They carry quite a few specialty items other standard grocery chains may not carry. They also have great cuts of meat and seafood back at the butcher counter. Overall AJ's is a nice store and great addition to the Dana Park shopping center.
