I love Sam's Club! Today I went to return an item and of course I had to browse the aisles for deals and samples! The samples today were so delicious and I was excited to try a bunch of new foods that I haven't tried before, like the Magnum Dubai chocolate ice cream bars. They were fantastic! My experience here today was mostly amazing except I noticed there are more sales people on the end of aisles then there were before. I was hoping Sam's wouldn't become like their competitor who has sales people all over the place and when exiting. I hope it doesn't become that because it makes the experience more stressful IMO. read more

Absolutely Pathetic Pickup Experience - Avoid This Location I've never been compelled to write a negative review before, but the Sam's Club on Market Street in Gilbert has forced my hand with its utterly disgraceful curbside pickup operation. I've now been sitting here for 25 minutes--and not a single car has moved. The entire system appears to be frozen in time, and no one on staff seems remotely concerned. After watching this circus for far too long, I called customer service. They said they'd transfer me to "expedite the order." That turned out to be a joke--the pickup team answered and then immediately hung up the phone. No call back, no explanation, just flat-out disregard. This is beyond poor customer service; it's outright negligence. To make matters worse, I counted seven or eight employees in yellow Sam's Club jackets walking around outside collecting carts. Not a single one even acknowledged the pickup area or the line of frustrated customers waiting. Apparently carts get more attention than paying members. This location is a textbook example of incompetence and mismanagement. If you're thinking about using curbside pickup here--don't. They have a good amount of seasonal items along with their standard merchandise. The only complaint is the noise level during the holidays. I've been a Sam's Club member since 1998, and this was one of the most upsetting retail experiences I've ever had. After multiple attempts to get help through online chat and repeated calls to the store that went unanswered, I followed the instructions I was given and came to the Sam's Club in Gilbert on Market Street during my scheduled pickup window. Every one of those contacts was about arranging a pickup of a grill that had malfunctioned. Not once was I told that a pickup wouldn't be possible. I simply kept doing what I was told to do. When I originally purchased the grill, my son helped me load it. Since then, my life has changed completely. My son was diagnosed with cancer and underwent major abdominal surgery on 12/18. He is 20 years old and still recovering, which is why I asked for help returning a large item. Angela, the associate who first helped me, was kind and professional. The situation escalated only after guidance she said came from management. When I asked to speak with a manager, Laura and Geneva came out. Geneva identified herself as the lead manager. She asked who originally picked up the grill and why that person couldn't bring it back. When I explained it was my son and that he is recovering from cancer surgery, she stated she had no sympathy and referenced her own family loss. That comment was shocking and deeply hurtful. I wasn't asking for special treatment -- I was asking for help after following every instruction I'd been given. The interaction became confrontational, dragged on while my curbside pickup with perishable items sat in my car, and I ultimately had to throw that food away. I left the store in tears. This entire situation could have been avoided with honest communication earlier. Instead, it reflected a serious lack of leadership, empathy, and basic customer care. I've filed a formal complaint, but people should know what they may encounter when asking for help here. read more

The pick up is a joke. Last week I waited 50 minutes!! I would have gone it but I had my dog with me. Today I am sitting here and it's been 25 minutes and still no groceries. There are 13 cars waiting and one person comes out about every five minutes. On October 21, 2025 I purchased an LG Dishwasher from Sam's Club with the installation package. In February, the dishwasher failed to work completely. After discussions with LG, the cited the dishwasher drain line was not installed properly by the installation crew. I reviewed the instructions and found this to be accurate. After numerous calls to both companies, Sam's Club states the installation warranty is only for 90 days, which has expired. Gross negligence and not following the manufacturer's instructions are not warranted beyond 90 days. I beg to differ when the install is grossly negligent. I will never buy anything from Sam's Club again and will be cancelling my membership. I would recommend not using this fine upstanding American company for anything you value. There are other options and I hope my experience helps you make a better decision that I did. read more

Chip scanners at 2 self check out registers didn't work after trying multiple cards. Food court was over a 45 minute wait for 2 hot dogs & a slice of pepperoni. Both hot dog buns were broken & one dog fell out when we opened the wrapper. Ridiculous long wait, with complete chaos & confusion behind the food court counter. Our cold grocery items are no longer cold. I will be going to the Costco food court from now on. This place sucks. Also their parking lot surface is the roughest asphalt in all of Gilbert, my kids said it hurt them while riding in the cart & all the bouncing from the rough pavement broke a couple of our eggs. read more

Costco stresses me out- there I said it, too many rules and too many agressive and overly zealous employees- not at Sam's! At Sam's I can use scan and go or their easy self checkout where I don't need to remove anything from my cart and be on my merry way. Staff here is very friendly and helpful. I usually come here for food as they have great deals on organic produce as well as pantry and household staples. Good food court options too! Have been surprised to find name brand items here at a deal including Crocs, Steve Madden shoes, Eddie Bauer shoes and designer perfumes. Love this place! read more

Ok, so I decided to do the Pickup ordering. Yesterday morning I ordered 2 of the Command Outdoor Lighting Clip packs. From their advertisement they were suggested for hanging up Christmas Lights. I loved the idea, we used these for pictures in the house and if you change your mind they leave no residue. So I scheduled it yesterday morning for today between 5pm-6pm. Reason being is it is on my way home and I get off at 5pm. 10 min travel window so it was perfect. I get there and there is no update to my order, I'm their defense, they've never emailed me it was ready but they never emailed me that it was going to be late either. When I asked them, they told me they were still trying to fill 3pm and 4pm orders. I get that it I placed my order a few hours ago but that simple wasn't the case. I placed it 24 hours ago. The best suggestion they had for my was to come back later tonight, just wow! I'm so disappointed, my wife does it all the time and raves about it. I don't think I'll ever do it again. Went shopping at the Sam's location today most of the staff was very pleasant and friendly but when I got to the register to check out the cashier was extremely rude had an attitude it was a literally throwing my paper towels and toilet paper all around with an attitude because she had to load the basket. The sweet lady at customer service who helped me exchange my fan made it so easy! Thank you so much. After shopping i decided to order a pizza. There was a slight mix up with my card, I ended up ordering two pizzas. I got the one pizza I wanted and another sweet lady refunded me for the other, while helping entertain my little guy. My receipt was checked at the door. As soon as I walked out the door, my whole pizza slid off my cart and fell cheese side down in the road. I should have held on to it a little harder, but I had my toddler with me. It was like a cartoon. I was nearly in tears, but I went back inside and the sweet ladies and the gentleman at the cafe quickly gave me another one. I ordered my quarterly 20 cases of drinking water this morning and the new customer service rep was confused about how large order in person pick ups work. She made me sit out front by the exit door and had me wait for someone to bring it to me. I waited for 35 minutes and called the front desk angrily and Sam answered. This young man assured me he will solve the problem and find my order! he was beyond helpful. He was Personable and useful and helpful. He helped me load up my truck as he was answering his walkie-talkie and phone trying to help other people. This man is the reason my Family has been going to Sam's club for 25 years. Super Clean and Organized Store! Today was my first trip into Sam's Club they had a coupon for a free membership so I thought why not try it out. I found the store to be very similar to Costco but much better lit and slightly more organized. I appreciated that they didn't force you to wear a mask while you went shopping as well. I understand it is every business's right to choose what they want people to do, but it's also the customers right not to shop places that force their rules on you so Sam's Club is getting more of my business now than Costco. Unfortunately the cafeteria is only serving pizza just like Costco. Hopefully it will be open next time because I'd like to get some snacks while I'm shopping so I don't have to be so hungry and buy everything in the store. - 1 Star: Meat prices were definitely higher than normal stores like Albertson's or Safeway, so not too much business for me on that Avenue. I paid $4.97 a pound for T-bone steaks last week at Albertson's grocery store. They were around $12 at Sam's Club today which is a pretty significant difference. Highlight: My favorite part about Sam's Club is there app in the phone that lets you scan all your items as you put them into your cart so you don't have to stand in the long lines waiting to see a cashier. What a disorganized and unsafe mess. Given that we are living through a pandemic and my parents are high risk, we chose to order for pickup. Once we arrived, I called the number asking what to do. The guy said to come through the exit door and someone would be there to help with the pickup order. There wasn't anybody at the exit door (where crowds are exiting from) or pickup desk so I had to go inside and look for someone. It took about 15 minutes to find an employee. On top of that, it took her forever to find my order having to give my last name, my order number, and so on. It ended up taking about a half hour to be able to pay, get checked out and get my items. In the same amount of time, I could've just done the shopping myself. A lot of people were not wearing masks and there was very limited social distancing. Only some of the employees were wearing masks. Considering this virus is more likely to spread with long exposure, it is terrible to have to wait inside in one place so long to be able to complete an order when you're already trying to do pick up to mitigate the risks. So far, of all of the grocery shopping I have done during the pandemic, I feel this has been the experience that has put me and the parents I come home to most at risk. I will not be continuing to shop at Sam's Club and will be keeping my business at Costco and Fry's instead. I would love to keep supporting Sam's, but other stores have better systems and are overall safer for those that are high risk or living with family members that are high risk. read more

I love the prices at Sam's Club. This location has everything you need and expect of course. Unfortunately they have also switched almost entirely over to self checkout kiosks, which in my opinion makes zero sense. It's a big box store. Which means you buy things in bulk. So why you would have people using a self check out kiosk like they are buying a carton of eggs at a Safeway just makes no sense to me. They had two registers open today, although one said closed. The lines for them were huge and they kept trying to direct people to the self checkout kiosks but most people like me just shook their heads and decided to wait in queue for an actual register. Getting in and out of this place is also a total hassle, as it's next to Walmart, Costco, Michaels, and everything else off of San Tan Marketplace. Really, the entire road is a zoo, and you can't pull out of there without taking your life and your cars deductible in your hands. Again, they do have the great deals though, so the above is just something we have to put up with if we want to buy our 40lb bags of basmati rice. What else are you gonna do? read more

I love the produce in this Sams Club. It is always fresh and for a great price. They have a wonderful selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. I also love the sushi they carry and for a wonderful price. I think I eat it twice a week and they always give me extra ginger. They are very friendly at the sushi area. I also like Sam's Club because of their selection of candy. They have more candy than Costco and carry my favorites like cotton candy and all of the chocolate bars you could dream of. Another thing I like about Sam's Club is you can buy a gallon of milk instead of having to buy 2 gallons at one time. I'm giving 3 starts today due to the customer service we received. My family went in to 1. renew our membership & 2 see about opening a business account. The first lady that greeted us was very nice, however she was going on lunch and passed us over to a gentlemen saying he was an "expert" at business accounts. However this man was just rude, he made comments asking my husband "do you only feed them once" speaking about my kids. Now this comment could have gone 1 of 2 ways which neither are acceptable ! One both my children are athletically built they are skinny and have muscle definition, or TWO he was being racist asking if we feed our mixed (black, white and Hispanic) kids once a day! HE WAS RUDE!!! THEN come to find out HE NEVER DID ANYTHING WITH THE BUSINESS ACCOUNT!!!! We waited a whole week and never heard anything back!! So we drove to another location were a women helped us out! Even though she was the only person working their and had a long line behind us she gave us her all her attention! she didn't rush the process she had sure she followed every step and completed everything!!!
