I've been wanting to check out this Costco as it's the newest location near me but it's kind of a ways so when I was in the area on June 12th, I finally got my chance and was pretty excited:) This location opened in January 2023 and maybe I was expecting something different but like all Costcos, it has the same layout. I did find a couple Asian frozen food items I hadn't seen before: East West Cuisine Shanghai noodles and Shiitake Mushroom Potstickers. I always love finding new items but usually will buy them after trying a sample. I did pick up a 24 count of Melona bars at a crazy cheap price of $8.99 as they were on sale. Hubby also got a new pair of hard to find sunglasses at a great price too! It's really hard to beat their price and why I love Costco. Since my local Costco carries pretty much the same merchandise, I don't think I need to go out of my way to go here but as always I love checking out different locations!

I go to the Costco near my house all the time. One of my favorite features is their special events. They were having a sunglasses event and I found my rare favorite pair of Serengeti sunglasses at a fraction of the retail cost. Unfortunately their last pair had a scratch. I happened to be close to this location so I popped in and was very happy to see they were having the same event and they had the last pair of my favorite sunglasses! I can't believe I saved over $250! That alone paid for my annual membership and more! Also picked up some mochi ice cream and 24 pack of Melona on sale for only $8.99. It was a great day.

There's nothing like Costco on a Sunday afternoon for some paper towels, toilet paper, toothpaste, eggs, and a hotdog plus drink combo!

Costco has some pretty decent pizza. The pepperoni is salty and the cheese is covering the top. The pizza is more of a thin crust style I would say. People who like the thick crust may not like it too much. I like the thin crust though my family is more of a thick crust fan group. The pizza might have gotten better over the years. Or they could be using a different dough. The food line is long as expected from experience at other locations. So are the lines for everything else. The Costco was much like the other ones. The layout was a little different where the eye exam and optometrist was right next to the pharmacy. I think that's what really jumped out at me. Also the tire center looks different and is placed directly than the others that I have been to.

After years of hoping, QC finally got our very own Costco! Went on opening day around 6pm and it was as busy as you'd expect at Costco. For their first day, operations was efficient like a typical day. Layout is similar to the Gilbert location (not sure if it's bigger or smaller). Lots of visiting staff from surrounding stores for the first few days to make sure everything goes smoothly. I did notice several employees were newer 2021/2022. My only complaint is that an employee might direct you to a line not realizing it's self serve vs full-service check out. Wish they made that differentiation a bit more obvious as customers who don't normally do self-serve got pushed to a self-serve register and was slow. We jumped out of line and into a full-serve lane. Pro-tip: While the regular bathrooms are put in the back corner of the store past the food court, there is one lone bathroom in the tire center in case you can't make it!

I'm glad they finally opened up a Costco down in the Q.C. so I don't have to haul my butt all the way from Florence to Mesa anymore. It's surprisingly easy to get in and out of this place due to a recently installed stoplight, and parking wasn't a problem. They were crazy inside, but that's the nature of the beast, so I can't ding them on being successful. They did have all their registers open, and plenty of employees, but checking still took a while due to the sheer number of people there even though I was there on a Tuesday. I can't imagine what they must be like during the weekend. Aside from that though their prices on ribeyes and ground meat can't be beat by my local Safeway so that right there makes me a fan.

They regularly mark items down so if you see a red price tag on it, it's usually a steal of a deal. The employees are pretty helpful if you need help. I like that the stores also carry some exotic food items like different kinds of ramen/noodles and chips. If you're into coffee, they have a lot of that, too, along with flavored syrups (usually priced around $4.99 each). I find that most, if not all of their locations have cluttered aisles, and they are pretty narrow. About the only aisles that are wide tend to be bedding and bath. They do have a pretty large selection of lamps for every room in your home. Since TJMaxx is their sister store, they also have an aisle of temptation when you check out to pay, lol. With a little will power, you can defy the odds and NOT pick up anything while you're waiting in line!! Home Goods has some unique items, so if you're thinking about something while you're in there, just buy it!! You can always return it later so hold on to your receipts! If you don't buy it and try to go back later, you may never see it again! Don't say I didn't warn you, lol.

Ask a question & they have all sorts of excuses such as I'll go find out & never come back, or this is not my department, etc. OR my favorite is they just simply ignore you & walk away to disappear to the back of the store. YES, this has happened to me, on several occasions. I don't understand why all the bad reviews on Winco at this location. It's my preferred store to shop. Prices are decent, the quality of the house brands is not bad at all. Much better than Walmart's house brand items, their quality & the quantity as grossly diminished in the last few years. With them it's always iffy. But I have not found this to be true at Winco. Even the bagged produce is over-weight. I find the staff at Winco, to be professional, courteous, friendly & knowledgeable of their stock on hand. The store is always clean, as someone is always cleaning. They don't block isles, like Walmart does. IF something you're needing is blocked, they will happily get it for you. I don't see Walmart employees smiling, but at Winco they seem a happy lot. The shopping carts are clean, not damaged so not sure what one person that left a bad review is talking about. Besides they are built to get abused & trashed. So what else is to be expected of them, brand spanking new, just for you? Now, IF I'm going to complain, it would be the electric carts for handicapped ppl. But that falls on the customers that do not plug the cart in for the next person. But they always have extra carts inside the store. I'm handicapped, so have no issues with the carts. But, being a mechanical machine, they are prone to breakage. Can't blame the store for that, as it falls on how it's being used by the customers. But they seem to maintenance their equipment. I like this store, the staff is great, never been shorted nor over charged on my receipt. Yes, once in awhile there's a clerk that is having a bad day, they are only human like you & me. It's not the fault of the store, human beings are not perfect, so grin & bear that. IF you can do a better job, then get hired there, show them how an EXPERT does things! But at Walmart WOW, some are plan rude & most always show biased against a persons culture, color of their skin etc. Not fair to judge another human being, no one asked to be born a certain way, etc. There is one God, human beings are not. So, if a cashier is snippy, there's a reason behind their behavior. You have bad days too, I know i do ...That's normal, but this does not deter their performance nor duties. As for the clerks not knowing everything to your approval, they maybe new to the job. We all start at the bottom, not one person knew/knows everything for a new job. Again, the human factor is ushered in. In, short I can't fault this store nor it's staff. It's run by human beings. They to me, seem to be doing a great job. Thank you for reading my comments, as these are MY opinions, as a shopper. NO I don't work for Winco, am not being paid for my choice of words. These are my experiences & thank you!

When I heard WinCo was coming to San Tan Valley, I was so excited, but that excitement has turned…read moreinto disappointment. I used to shop in Gilbert, 30 minutes away, but having a closer local store makes it easier for quick grocery runs. In less than six months, this store has gone downhill. There is never any parking, the employees never know what to do when items ring up incorrectly, the shopping carts are already in bad shape, and the store is not run by good management. I attended the grand opening, and the store was fully staffed, and it was a great experience. They had at least 10 cashiers on duty the first couple of months, and there was never a long line. Visiting now, there's only one cashier at night, and lines go all the way into the aisles. If you shop after 9 PM, the stocking crew has boxes piled in the middle of the floors and aisles where you can't even shop in peace without almost falling over a box. Another issue is the bright lights in the store. The lighting is way too bright, especially at night; it almost gives me a headache walking through the store. I've also noticed many expired items on shelves; recently, I saw something expired from February 3rd, and it was March 27th! I also never can find good produce; I find so many moldy items which is unacceptable! Overall, this store is just so unorganized, and I do not have a good experience shopping here. I either shop at the new Safeway or the Gilbert WinCo and drive further.
