I was so worried about how the compound medications would get made, since it's the weekend and resources are more limited. She called me back and said they got it taken care of Friday night and to come pick it up. I made it there 20 minutes before close. This pharmacy is fantastic! The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. My vet sent a prescription there for my cat, Zsa Zsa, who was recently diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. I called to confirm they received it, and the woman I spoke with was not only polite but also efficient. She confirmed the prescription had arrived, informed me of the cost, and let me know when it would be ready. True to their word, I received a text notification on the expected date that the prescription was ready. When I went to pick it up, a kind woman at the register assisted me. Since I'd never used the medication in gel form before, I asked for a consultation with the pharmacist. We have a cat who is 16 years and beginning to show her age. Vet put her on a blood pressure medication and prescription was sent to this pharmacy. My first time there was a great experience and because it was the first time with these meds, the Pharmacist was asked to come over and consult. Positive experience with her explaining not only the medication but what to watch for in case of side effects. Today went to get the refill. It took 4-5 business days for both the first and refill, which is explained when ordering. They are a full compounding pharmacy for people and pets and both times I have been the experience has been nothing but positive! read more

Our cat was recently diagnosed with IBD, and he needs to take a liquid steroid. My vet called it in, and Medmetrics was in contact with me right away. They wanted to know what flavoring I wanted. I tried tuna for him. They texted when it was ready. Clean, well laid out environment. Nicely decorated, and they have coffee for patrons. Fluff is now trying the vanilla flavored. I like that they are trying to make this a better experience for our fur babies who do not want to take liquid meds. Great place! read more

This is a top notch compounding pharmacy service. Our calico was diagnosed with hyperactive thyroid disease and her methamezole was compounded in liquid form. My cat's vet hospital called in a prescription for a liquid steroid here. Since it was a holiday week it did take three days to get the medicine, but they let me know that ahead of time. Was recommended to my by a cvs pharmacy rep for neb tubing. I called on Saturday and they were out of stock but offered to order and have it in Monday. No waiting on Monday when I went in. Found they have assortment of nutritional supplements as well. Although they didn't have the mct oil powder I was looking for the rep offered to order it for me. Our new vet uses Medmetrics Compound Pharmacy and it's in Chandler not far from our house which we thought was great. We've been using Diamondback Drugs in Scottsdale for 12 years. I was expecting a prescription to be ready on Thursday of last week and to receive a phone call. By 4:00 no phone call. I called them to ask if our script was ready and if so why wasn't I called. The kid started to give me some excuse about my phone number. I've had the same phone number for 21 years and no one else has EVER had a problem in calling or leaving me a message. I told the kid that they just lost a customer and that we'd be taking our business back to Diamondback Drugs where they're reliable and call us. The kid replied, "you do what you have to do." No apology or any thing! That is the worst customer service I've ever had in my life! I'll be talking to the manager on Monday to let him/her know what kind of moronic employees they hired. read more

The whole staff is friendly, professional, and always get my prescriptions done quickly and more important, ACCURATELY. My dog has had valley fever for about 1.5 yrs now. His titers have been up and down and we tried to take him off of his fluconazole a few months back when his symptoms shortly began creeping back. It was recommended to try Medmetric because they have the ability to formulate my puppy's dose so that we do not have to use a pill cutter and worry about splitting the pills precisely to give him his daily BID accurate dose, which isn't always so accurate using the pill cutter! I am thrilled to say little Simon has been on his new formulated dose of fluconazole for 3 weeks now and has recently started improving drastically. Not only am I saving time and and increasing accuracy, the pharmacy was kind enough to deliver the medication to Scottsdale! I would highly recommend Medmetric :) read more

I chose this pharmacy to have my dog's medicine compounded. It was out of the way for me, but all the pharmacies that could compound pet medicine that were closer had horrible ratings, and I didn't want to mess around with delays because of incompetence. This pharmacy was awesome! They had a veterinarian on staff to talk to me about my dog's prescriptions which I thought was pretty cool. They have lots of flavors such as bacon, chicken, beef and cheese. I also had a specific request for a natural supplement that I would have liked to have compounded had my dog not passed away. The staff actually researched it for me and told me that they could make it instead of just saying no right away. They also had the Bulletproof line of supplements and a lot of things I normally would buy at Sprouts. I had a great experience here and I recommend it if you are looking for pet medicines. I didn't buy any medicine for humans, so I can't really comment on that, but if they prepare them like they did my dog's medicine, you're in good hands. After having issues with another compounding pharmacy that was giving me a run around with getting in the meds, I called Medmetrics and spoke to Adam, who was extremely helpful, said they had the formula and could make it. Called the other pharmacy, had them give the script to MedMetrics. Not only did they fill it within an hour (the other pharmacy had it since yesterday, desperately needed it and didn't even know if they would have it tomorrow. If they didn't, I would have to wait until Monday!!), the cost was $102.00 LESS at MedMetrics! I can't give them enough stars for their service and friendly staff! I'm giving my doctor this information who recommended the other place (BAD news and high priced, wanted my cc # before they filled it and never bothered to check and see if my insurance covered it, which it did) and will explain what I had to go through and how awesome MedMetrics is! Horrible I've had 5 prescriptions filled there and there's been a problem 4 out of the five times. The last prescription I got filled today is also my last time I will go there. I get valley fever meds for my cat. They always call my vet to verify, which was the only good thing about them except the last time. So I ended up paying the same price for a two week supply of meds when it could have been the same price for a month supply. I called them and they verified that yes, they did have to call my vet every time to get the full month of medicine for the same price as two weeks but they didn't this last time and told me it was too late to do anything about it because I already picked it up. Be careful, check your prescriptions before you leave the place and always call because I've gone there when they told me on the phone it would be ready and there's been no prescription waiting for me which is aggravating when it takes an hour to get there. They also said they tried to reach me but couldn't because my phone number was bad. I've had this number for 8 years and never had a problem before. I called my vet, informed him what happened and told him to provide me with another pharmacy which might be even better because they will mail it to me. read more

My vet put my cat on a medication for a bladder infection that had to be compounded and I had to go to Scottsdale to pick it up. I asked her why she didn't have Medmetrics do it as they're 2 minutes from my house. She told me Medmetrics was the first place she called and they couldn't fill the prescription. This review is LONG overdue. I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. My dr recommended Medmetrics because it's across the street from his office. Unfortunately my baby has reflux and needed medication for it so I ran over purely due to convenience. What I found at medmetrics was like no other pharmacy I've been to before. The pharmacists actually cared about me and my baby and catering to exactly what he needed. In fact, the first time we got the medication my baby did not like it so I took it back and they flavored it. Still after adding flavoring he was spitting it out and I wasn't sure what to do. I talked to Adam (who has helped me every step of the way) and he tried an entirely different way to compound which worked amazing. Not only did Adam help me find the solution but then he gave me the new bottle free of charge since I had just purchased the other a few days before. I was blown away by his kindness. He doesn't care about his bottom line- he cared about us and finding what's best for my baby. Also I have to mention that my prescription there is 1/3 of the price of Walgreens which is a reason alone to go there. I've changed other things about my prescription and Adam was always so helpful in my requests. Another situation I have to mention is that I ran out of medication while on vacation and had to have it transferred for a refill. The pharmacy let me know that they would call and get the rx but that it would likely not be compounded the same bc pharmacies aren't legally obligated to share their recipe. The pharmacist called Adam and not only did he share the recipe but when the other pharmacy didn't have the same ingredients on hand Adam helped figure out what would be the most similar. I mean seriously these guys go out of their way for their customers. Yes some people won't go because they don't have a drive thru but I will HAPPILY bring in my two kids to get the customer service offered at Medmetrics. I tell everyone about them and encouraged my doctor to send all his patients their way because they are a true gem of chandler. I will never go anywhere else (unless I run out of meds on vacation again ). Thank you Medmetrics for all you do for my family! read more
