I am hoping after they read my review on here that they will take care of this matter. Because if they care about their customers, they'll make sure to address this in some type of way. I will say I did call a corporate headquarters customer service number. I've never had to do this before. But I felt like this needs to be taken care of because I don't want anybody else that might feel the same way as me to go through this but just not speak up. So i've been going to the Sally Beauty Supply for several years now. And i've been to different locations, never been an issue. Well, today, I went to this location because I needed to get a few things. And when I walked in the most awful disgusting cigarette smell almost made me throw up. I couldn't believe how awful it was. And I thought to myself, maybe it was a customer that just left. So I proceeded to still go into the store, and this is a smaller store. So the aisles are closer, but the smell was lingering throughout the whole store. And I was like, why is this smell not going away? Because as a person that does not smoke, you can smell cigarette smoke immediately. And is absolutely disgusting and people that smoke they don't realize how awful it is. Nobody that doesn't smoke should have to be anywhere in an establishment and be around that heavy, thick smoke smell that doesn't smoke because that is dangerous to our health. So I finished getting my few things. And as I got closer to the front counter, again, that smell was getting so much stronger. And I was like, where is this coming from? Sure enough I get up to the counter all the way to pay for my stuff, and it was one of the employees that worked there.They smelled like they had just got done smoking. A pack of cigarettes and the smell was just lingering. It wouldn't go away like I could barely even talk. I tried to hold my breath a few times because I was so grossed out. I did not want to breathe that in anymore. And I couldn't believe that this person is working font facing customer service. I look over and I see a young girl with her parent, and I was like, this is so unhealthy. Nobody should have to be coming in here and breathing this in. So when I was outside of the store and the mom came out with her daughter, I asked her out of curiosity if she could smell a cigarette smell in there, and she said, yes absolutely. So this is why I feel the need to post this review because the company definitely needs to be aware and make changes. I don't know how the company will go about handling this. But this is not okay for people that don't smoke to go into a closed establishment and have to breathe that in when it is so overpowering on every level. I hope this is taken care of in some way because I would never wanna go into this store location ever again.If this does not get resolved, and i've been a longtime customer.
