The customer service here is really worth a review. I recently stopped in to buy my mom some fudge to take with her when she moves out of state, and I was blown away by how friendly everyone in the shop was the whole time I was there. From the moment I walked in to a hearty greeting to a friendly chat over the fudge counter and with another woman working in the shop, everyone there is just so NICE. Best fudge around! And the staff is so helpful and friendly! It can get pretty busy from 12-3pm but it's worth the wait in order to try a couple fudge samples! The new owner has really improved the selections in the store! We go there every year while in town and it was starting to get old seeing the same stuff all the time. They also have more sugar free items than before. :) Do yourself a favor and visit Goldfield Ghost Town and stop in to the mother lode mercantile! You won't be disappointed! read more

It was a cute gift shop for those from out of town - fairly overpriced and a little too touristy for me. The people were so friendly and there were some homemade, sweet treats to purchase. Stopped by this tourist shop in Apache Junction. The tourist ghost town in general is very cute. Liked this shop the best of the ones I stopped at. Staff was friendly and offered samples of the fudge and nuggets. The churro nuggets were the best in our opinion of all the flavors. The prickly pear and gold nugget fudge was delightful. Great presentation, my only critique on the fudge is that it should be weighed instead of by chunk especially when a small chunk is supposed to be 1/4lb. My prickly pear fudge weighed less than 1/4lb and the gold nugget one weighed more than (but the average worked out to 1/2lb luckily). Prices are what you would expect for a tourist shop, a little on the high side. They had a nice assortment of merchandise, snacks and souvenirs. read more

In the FREE to park and enter,Goldfield Ghost Town . They used to sell these unbelievably addictive "churro gold-nuggets"but no longer...(silent scream& one tear !) Near the parking lot this could be considered the "main" gift shop in town.The facade is a picture perfect old west porch & mechantile,a darling little store. Prickly pear flavored jelly jars &syrups& everything else to take "back home" and hot chili stuff & "gag gifts"galore! So , at least the merchandise is darling. Their attitude towards strollers and children is less endearing. I mean,a candy store that hAtes on kids is a tough one. But since I don't have kiddos ,and do love their Fudge.... I just can't resist a peak at all the kooky merchandise & desert themed treats. Online ordering. My family and I fell in love with Mother Lode Mercantile when we visited last August, and the customer service was amazing. As well as the Homemade Fudge customer service. Unfortunately, not when ordering online. I paid almost $10 for the USPS express delivery. On day one, ordering online went smoothly; I received a tracking number, which was not a problem. Day 2: item not yet received at USPS. Day 3: The item has yet to be received at USPS. I called the store and asked about my order. I was told it went out on D2. I explained why I ordered it earlier in the week, and the only response was hurriedly and annoyed, "I'm sorry, look up the tracking later this afternoon." USPS tracking showed delivery delivery 2 days after the birthday party. When I called USPS, it was confirmed that the order was dropped off on Day 3. The employees lied about when it was dropped off! Never again! Now, the embarrassing moment of having to give a birthday card with your gift is in the mail. Not a happy customer!! read more

This was a great store for getting Arizona and Goldfield Ghost Town souvenirs. There was air conditioning, which was great in the summer heat. Candies, toys, cups, mugs, tons to choose from. The ladies working in the store didn't pressure anyone into buying or yell at us about masks, social distancing, etc., which was greatly appreciated. We got a few things here and will definitely stop back in when we visit Goldfield Ghost Town again! read more

Delicious fudge! As mentioned by previous Yelpers, they sell prickly pear cactus fudge ($8 per half pound). They also have the Gold Nugget, a macadamia nut and caramel fudge with real 24K gold dust ($10 per half pound). These make really great gifts for friends and family! P.S. I got stopped at the airport because the gold dust was absorbing the X-rays. So yeah it is definitely reaaaaaaaal gold. read more

It's a really touristy shop with all the personalized mugs/keychains, magnets and other souvenirs. The real draw is the fudge, specifically their new prickly pear flavor. It's pink with little pieces of cactus candy embedded inside. $3 for a quarter pound, which is more than enough. If you're into Prickly pear, keep heading east on the 88 and get some prickly pear ice cream in Tortilla Flat. read more

This is a character shop in a great location. If you are coming along the Apache trail then this whole area is worth a stop for a gander. This store in particular I remember well because (1) it wasn't that long ago when we were there and (2) as the other reviewer mentions, prickly pear fudge. It's sickly sweet and supposedly the only place to get prickly pear fudge. This of course meant I had to get some to try. We had 1 block and it's super sweet. Super yummy as well. The lady helping us out was very patient and friendly. It was a very nice start to our trip. read more

Just got back from Goldfield Ghost Town after a long day with rowdy nephews! The best part of the trip was the cutest store in the very front that sells the most amazing fudge ever! Each person got to pick a piece and they boxed it up so nicely to take home. The gift shop side of the store was like walking back in time! You will see toys from your childhood and awesome southwest jewelry, candy, and so many unique Christmas ornaments! Great find. So glad we stopped in! read more

What a fun time we had at Goldfield Ghost town. We were here on a busy weekend and it was such a beautiful day to walk about this town. We did the mine tour and the train ride. The shops are great and look most authentic especially the Mother lode Mercantile. The lady at the fudge counter let us try their flavors so that we each got to pick our favorite kind to take home. Great deal on the fudge if you buy 4 squares you get 1 free. This shop was just so cute and the kids in our group all found a souvenir to help remember the day. This store is adorable and offers a much needed air conditioned escape. The fudge is pretty decent. The women who work there are so sweet and helpful....to adults. Watch out if you're a kid. They'll watch you like a hawk and roll their eyes at you. And god help ya if you point at the treats you want behind the glass and leave a fingerprint. They get super cranky about that. read more

This place rocks! Very cute western store with fun, original gifts for anyone looking for neat AZ things. Small assortment of western antiques too. They also have the best homemade fudge in the state, AND they give free samples! I loved the peanut butter fudge, but I understand the most popular flavor is the Prickly Pear fudge - made from the prickly pear cactus fruit. It's their own original recipe and I haven't found anyone else in the state making this flavor. Excellent fudge! Great place to visit and is located inside of Goldfield Ghost Town. read more
