This is the worst pharmacy go ANYWHERE else. They refused to fill a script because "most insurance doesn't cover it" when I know for a fact mine does. They were too lazy to even try to put it through my insurance. IDK what the issue is with Pharmacy exactly, but I can tell you when your doctor sends your prescription make sure you call to confirm that they recieved it and that they have it in stock. Otherwise, you're going to wind up heading there after work expecting for them to be filled only to be delivered disappointment. They either didnt process it with your insurance on time, your insurance is being sassy and they didnt inform you, or they dont even have it in stock and they didnt let you know. This is the worst pharmacy I've ever had to deal With. I dropped a prescription off at 10AM, came To pick it up at 5:30 PM and they told me it would take an additional hour. I waited 25 minutes in line to get this news. My third trip in on the day I've been in line for 40 minutes and there's zero urgency. The Pharmacy leaves you on hold then when they answer they say thank you for calling Walgreens please hold. They do not even wait to listen to anything you have to say and they just continuously do that over and over again. I talked to the lady that was doing it, and she said that the people in front of her were more important so she would not answer the phone. I talked to a manager. The first 30 minutes on hold for my prescription the automated system counted down from "you have 3+ people ahead of you", down to "you are the next caller". Apparently right as I jumped into being next in the queue, the staff decided to not finish helping people who called before their lunch break, and went on lunch and left me on hold for an additional 30 minutes with no explanation of what was going on. Everyone deserves a lunch break, but I'm sure there is a policy in place to finish helping the customers that joined the queue before lunch starts, the staff in the pharmacy are not doing so. Here's a good one for you. Went to pick up a prescription they said that was ready. Went to the drive through. Maybe four or five vehicles in front of me, shouldn't take that long right? When only two vehicles were taken care of in 45 minutes. I decided to call and see if they decided to close? I mean really, it was almost twenty minutes and nothing. Well the phone call ended up going to their call center where ever that was. I asked the young lady, if they were still open? Haven't moved in about twenty minutes cars are now backed up to ten vehicles. She put me on hold to find out, after seven minutes she got back on and tried to give me some poor excuse. I said, if this is the excuse you're going to use. It's really pathetic! She then admitted that they ended up hanging up on her. Knew it wasn't her fault, and told her this is what we as customers are going through with this store. She told me to get a hold of the customer representative and file a complaint. I advised her, do you really think this corporate really cares about the complaints anymore, especially from their customers? I told her that it needs to come from inside. Well, there you have it. It ended up taking about an hour to just get a prescription. We allowed these big corps to control our lives. This really needs to change. read more

This Walgreens used to have good, fast service when it only had one lane open. I've used this location for almost 15 years. But in the last 2 years, and even after they opened the 2nd lane that I'd never seen open before, they're always extremely, painfully slow getting things taken care of. I get a text message when my prescription is ready so I'm not dropping off and waiting, this is a prescription that's already filled. So with more staff and 2 lanes open there are still always 6-10 cars in line when I get there. Not because they're so much busier but because they're slower than they used to be. One star is way too high...I honestly don't know where to begin. They had regular cashiers working behind the pharmacy counter and they couldn't do anything, but they were passing prescriptions out. I love this Walgreens. I was kinda disappointed and rather sad to see it have such a low rating. It's a really nice store and has a little different but nice layout. I love the remodel they did it always makes for an enjoyable experience. The customer service is usually always very attentive and friendly. They have a great selection of all different kinds of things (As all WG's do). It's just that I wish the Pharmacy was a little better in terms of service and communication. They claim they didn't have the right dosage from the doctor. Set up a three-way call the person talked to was documented and yet they denied getting information from the doctor. Let's skip past the part where the in-store pharmacy is closed due to staffing issues, the drive-thru is 5 miles long and it takes over an hour to reach a pharmacy tech on the phone. I spoke to Jason, the pharmacist, two days in a row. He thinks he's superior to a medical doctor. My fiancé's doctor wrote for a full month of medication, due to my fiancé working out of town. Initially 7 days of medication were dispensed. The rest of the medication is on hold, until the full 7 days are up (which completely negates the reason the doctor wrote the script, as she did, in the first place). Jason first blamed insurance, a prior auth issue. Then he blamed the doctor, suggesting we find a new one if she's unwilling to submit a prior auth to health insurance. Once I said... forget insurance Jason, we will pay cash because we need the medication because my fiancé is traveling for work and needs his meds (I've honestly lost track as to how many times he's been told as much), Jason then flipped his script and said he still couldn't fill the meds because the possibility of over medicating. I kindly reminded Jason the doctor and my fiancé have a rapport... clearly she didn't feel "over medicating" was an issue. Otherwise she wouldn't have written for a month's supply. Duh! I pointed out that we should really be more focused on the fact that my fiancé is going to be without his medication, for several days, as he travels. Jason didn't seem to like that and got snippy. Jason. Your job is to dispense medication as written and counsel patients on safety, not dictate who gets what medication and when... without a valid reason. Because THAT Jason, negates patient safety. Jason really gets zero stars and should move into another line of expertise since he's truly bombed his responsibilities as a pharmacist. read more

Like someone else said, one star is WAY too high. I never leave bad reviews, BUT...I arrived at this pharmacy tonight 10 minutes before they closed (& 10 minutes after the text notification that RX's were ready) and noticed about 6 cars in the drive. I ran into the pharmacy only to find it closed from the inside 10 minutes before the closing hours posted. I looked at a man through the window and he said, "We have to get the cars out of the line. We can't help you." That's a pretty remarkable response during business hours to someone who's there to pick up prescriptions for someone who's sick. On my way out, I politely asked for a manager. She kind of apologized for not being able to help me during business hours? My mind is fully blown. I get that pharmacies are understaffed and that the medical industry is reeling. But this is next level. A not so subtle "sorry, we don't care" from the good folks at Walgreens in Queen Creek. I'm not going to lose my cool or go nuts. That doesn't help in any way. But I will say how delighted I am that Costco is opening a location in January in Queen Creek. That pharmacy knows how to manage their staff, and most importantly, they know customer service. I wish I knew her name, I have been there 3 times and the middle Eastern lady has let me know that my medicine is not ready even though I've gotten a phone call on the same day. this pharmacy is the worst pharmacy have ever had to deal with. They don't fully fill prescription don't let anybody know they are out of stock which means they're not checking inventory to make sure they're not out. People need certain medications they have to take every day LIKE INSULIN yet they're out and aren't getting it in for 5 days it's unbelievable. They sent a txt message saying it was really and you pick it up and 3 month supply turns into 1pen which doesn't last 5 days and if they would have filled the full prescription the first time it wouldn't be an issue. They should stick to dispensing prescriptions and leave the vaccinations and Covid testing to some place else. What can I say, I'm a Walgreens guy. I think the prices are lower, the pharmacy is better stocked, the store is arranged better and is nearly always cleaner than their competitors (I'm looking at you CVS). It's funny how many corners have competing pharmacies, not sure how that works in the business strategy category. I use my Walgreen reward card to bank points and use them for free items for $$ credits towards a purchase. The Walgreens app is decent for keeping track of your points and checking inventory before you stop into a store. The staff is way more friendly than CVS in my opinion. I've actually had some bad experiences with CVS in the past (with both pharmacy and store). The big separator for me is the price- Walgreens seems to be way cheaper, and reward members can capitalize on better item discounts. I also love to use Walgreens for photos. I've had passport pics taken at a Walgreens (ready in less than 10 minutes!) and I've also printed MANY photos, made holiday cards and even printed a photo book. Again use the app (or web site) to upload your photos and have them ready at your local store within an hour. Make sure to Google search a coupon as they are ALWAYS out there and will save you a killing! Other perks: drive-thru pharmacy (drop-off and pickup), Hallmark cards, basic food items, great gift card selection... it really is a great stop to grab an emergency item (gift, batteries, toy, candy before theater, etc.). read more

I bring my phone and watch tv shows while I wait for their pharmacy to give out bags of pills to people in the drive though. I finished up through season 5 of Better Call Saul from waiting these past few months. I mean, it's a great show but seriously, how long does it take to look up a bin location, grab the bag and give it to people? Apparently 5 seasons worth of a TV show in a few months. We were at this location and found it to be the worse Walgreens around. Never greeted, no wipes for the carts at all. All the employees had masks on, but they don't really care if the customer is safe from germs??? Anyone that I asked any questions to "was very short or maybe "sarcastic is a better description". Here to drop a fed off a fed ex package and I did not have the paper address affixed w tape .. Terry the customer service rep refused to help w taping it and said I needed to purchase tape in the store.. I've never received such poor customer service at any Walgreens.. This is hands down the worst pharmacy I've ever had the displeasure of using. I got the run around from them for well over a week trying to understand why my prescription was not being filled. I ended up having my prescription switched to a CVS nearby because of the complete lack of assistance.
