I had a really great experience here the other day. I came by to pick up some seltzers and a veggie tray before a party. This location offers a Starbucks inside and gas station too. Very clean and organized inside, everything looked stocked up. Lots of great deals on produce and other items. A decent selection of items too. The people working were all really nice. I was in and out in under 10minutes. If I was ever out this way again, I would definitely come back! read more

Check your receipts! There are two Frys stores in Gilbert. I have found they both routinely post product discounts (2 for 1 etc.) at the shelves that aren't honored at the checkout counter. This has happened too often for me to consider it anything but intentional. read more

Why does Fry's make it so difficult to log into the app account? I get kicked off all the time. It's under my wife's email. It won't take the password and have to reset every time I get kicked off off. Have to call the wife for code. Then asks to confirm but they never send the conformation email. Very frustrating. They say added security. I guess they want to make sure no one sees my order for Cheetos, cause that would be terrible. Fry's fix this password crap. read more

So, my wallet was stolen which left me with only a virtual credit card until I am able to get replacements. Therefore, I could only utilize the online order/pickup feature in the Fry's app. Which says NOTHING about a cut off time or that its hours differ from the store's hours. Go to place my order at 6pm and I could only schedule a pickup tomorrow morning. 6pm! Not like it was 9pm or later which I could understand a bit more. So, I called customer service to explain my situation and if there was anything that could be done. And I quote, "Well, I can't really do anything because we have the cut off so that we can get everything done by 8pm." That's it, no let me try and ask, or let me see if there's something we can do. The best part, I only needed 2 items!!! But I did NEED them. More concerned with getting out of there at 8pm (2 hours before the store actually closes) than providing any semblance of customer service or showing any empathy for a crappy situation. My 14 year old son lost his debit card today outside of your store. We called around 930pm knowing you were closing soon. Ethan answered the phone and was very kind and willing to go look for it. Call was dropped a couple times but when I called back the third time he answered and was excited to tell us that someone turned it in! I came in to grab a few things for dinner and I used my WIC at the cashier. The cashier Thomas said it didn't take anything which I know it should've he just hit no to make me pay for everything. I am not sure but each time I shop at this location, food seems a lot cheaper for some reason. I actually bought a bag of potatoes for $1.99 , a huge bag! I found great deals on lunch meat and they have the" cheesecake factory" bread at this location whereas, I'm not able to find it elsewhere. There's something about this location that keeps me driving back. It's worth the drive for me! The staff are super nice but the customer service section closes super early I've noticed. Other than that, this is my spot to shop and I go when it's not crowded which it never is during the weekday evenings. Great location as my other, go to spots, are also in the surrounding area. I love that I can find my oat creamer, grass fed butter and oat milk products always available here as well. As usual, tons of free parking for all! read more

Please update hours. Online and when I called, the hours posted for this location are from 6AM to 11PM. When I arrived at 10:30PM, the doors were shut and the store was closed. Drove up to the parking lot, and it seems there was more grocery carts then cars in the lot, and the parking lot was full of cars!! So, we found a spot, grabbed our mask and grabbed our cart. you can tell they were not sanitized since many of them had bags and papers still in them. Then we went to find sanitizer or wipes, and Fry's did not offer any? Not sure this place knows that there is some kind of covid going on, now I'm not saying to overreact. But lets just be a little safe here. Once we walked by the guy grilling up some ribs blasting some music. There were a lot of customers inside. And I understand with the holiday coming, it was going to be crowded, but I think Fry's missed the memo since they were understaffed and not enough cashiers on duty. It's been a long time since I reviewed here. In my old review I said "this Fry's is a good one". And it was. But recently we went there and there was no sign of them sanitizing carts. So I asked. No, they aren't sanitizing carts anymore. Didn't they know the pandemic is not over, and likely won't be for at least another year?!! Apparently they don't care. Too much hassle, or maybe it's expensive to buy that disinfectant. Whatever, they don't care. So I don't care to shop here ever again. Or at any Fry's. Apparently they are all doing it. Just let people get sick, apparently. Not their problem. There are lots of other stores that are still taking their customers' health seriously. Went to this location to grab a couple things for dinner and smelled the chicken... smelled great, I decided to go to the deli to check it out. I'm standing and standing, mind you there was a bakery lady within eye shot and another deli worker down the way by the deli meats. After standing there for a few minutes. I asked the Bakery lady can someone help me. She said the deli guy looks like he helping a customer but will be with you. He shows no interest in helping and looks @ me and continues to slice cheese. And unless that customer was invisible then he was not helping a "customer". Kept my $ in my pocket & left . Do better with your customer service. It's the middle of the day, not busy, still bad service. Unacceptable! read more

Future grocery-pick up customers, be aware. I usually use Walmart for pickup, but figured I'd try my local grocery store. After two attempts, I will no longer be using Fry's for grocery pick up. I like shopping at this Fry's in-person - this review is just regarding pick up. My first grocery pick up experience was just OK, all items were fulfilled, but I waited 10 mins to receive the items to my car after calling. Today, my second grocery experience was not good in numerous ways. 2 items couldn't be fulfilled, which is to be expected during the recent pandemic. No problem. However, I waited for 10 minutes again for groceries to be delivered to my car. After returning home, 3 items were missing from my trunk (not including the 2 that weren't fulfilled initially). Hey, mistakes happen. So I gave them a call to make it right. Upon calling Fry's to correct the error, it took the employee 10 minutes to attempt to resolve (see a pattern)? Either the manager was not immediately available, the employee was new, the employee has had poor training, they are understaffed...or all of the above. Either way, I was informed they do not issue refunds over the phone. I'd still have to come in (with a receipt) to receive any refund. In my experience with customer service, if the company is at-fault, it is their responsibility to make it right. It should not fall on the customer's inconvenience to make it right. Because of this, I will no longer be using Fry's grocery pick up. I am empathetic to the employee and trying to do his job, but it sounds like they lack adequate leadership, training and customer service in this aspect of the store. ‍ read more

Great location, been going here for a couple months and recently had a large catering order. A little confusion placing the order as the online info didn't match the info received in the store. The deli manager gave me a call to confirm the order and quickly honored the previous in store communication. Order 30 fruit platters and they were delicious, everyone loved them and the 4 employees that I interacted with where all amazing! Thanks guys I will he transitioning a lot of company orders from Sprouts to Frys. The fruit was fresh, the presentation was great, the staff was helpful and courteous. read more

Nice store, friendly staff and seemingly a well-stocked store in a convenient location. So why only 3-stars? Because as I walked in from the parking lot, I was taken aback by the amount of litter in the lot and along the walkways. Throw in weeds and cigarette butts to make it more unappealing. I've been going to this Frys location for about 17 years. In the last year it's noticeably gone downhill. The stores shelves are pretty empty no matter when I go, very little selection and the worst part for me is the deli. I was there today, zero line and no numbers to take (it was just me but I still thought I'd grab one) I was ignored for about 10 minutes while I watched the slow moving women do other things as I continue to wait. She finally got to me, no apology, and continued to take another 10 minutes to cut a half pound of salami. The in-store shoppers are blocked in isles by the store employees that shop for online customers, rude, won't move, very slow...overall customer service is completely gone. I have tried the new locations which are stocked, a lot of selection, great staff this one's just closer but not worth the aggravation. read more

I had a super busy day and needed to get my prescriptions refilled and since it was a Sunday they closed at 5 and I forgot so I had to rush over from my house and I got there at least 6 mins before they were closed and they told me they couldn't help me. This review is about the pharmacy inside frys. It's totally a joke. I put in my prescription on Wednesday afternoon and was told it would take until Friday. It wasn't urgent so I was ok with with that, although I was surprised they did not look or attempt for another store or option. I arrived Friday afternoon and was told it would be later in day... delivery issues. I was annoyed but when I came back around 8pm it was now Monday. Totally unacceptable and their indifference and "too bad" attitude was my breaking point. I asked for my script back, went to CVS and had my script before 9. I learned my lesson. This is one of if not the poorest managed grocery store I have ever shopped in and today was my last time. The deli is completely broken and has been since I moved here in August 2018. I have spoken with just about every red vest in there, supposed store managers, the district deli training manager and I have emailed the corporate office twice and every single time I get nothing but lip service. There is always just one deli employee and usually 5-6 customers waiting to be served. Customers are not willing, nor should they be expected, to wait 10 or more minutes to spend money on deli meats. The deli training manager listened to me approximately 6-8 months ago and told me it was simply an issue with finding employees. I manage 30 million dollars of service business on Air Force bases and I would be out of a job if I just kept using that excuse. In my business, we have gotten creative in recruiting and staffing to solve our own recruiting challenges. This deli training manager then introduced my to the "new" store manager. He informed me that it was his first day and he understood and was making fixing the deli a high priority. In my conversation with another red vest today, I was told that he is no longer the store director and obviously the deli remain broken. I understand that there can be occasional labor challenges but this is way more than a staffing issue. This is a complete lack of oversight and active management by the store management and this issue goes above the store level as I have gotten nothing but lip service when I emailed corporate (twice). Every time I wait and watch this same problem at the deli I see the same thing, once employee trying their best to serve the customers while the floral clerk stands 5 feet away making balloon arrangements, one employee is back in kitchen area prepping rotisserie chickens and usually one or two employees in bake shop either leaning on table or doing side work. None of these other employees are actively waiting on or taking care of customers. I have always run business that the customer takes top priority. The easy fix here is for the floral, deli prep or bakery employees to be aware and pause present task to come over and knock the deli line down. They could then soon resume their original tasks once the line is down. Additionally, the deli clerk should be trained that if caught in this situation, they should excuse themselves for a mere 30 seconds and page management for deli support. I NEVER EVER SEE A MANAGER COME OVER TO OBSERVE WHAT IS GOING ON IN THE DELI. THAT IS THE SIMPLE PROBLEM. this afternoon yet again, I waited for a bit before getting frustrated and asked the very nice deli employee to call the manager for me. He did so but the manager never bothered to come over. I skipped waiting for a deli order and proceeded to check out where I requested to speak with a manager. They directed me to yesterday another red vest supervisor that would not permit me to speak with an actual store manager. I explained the ongoing situation in which she replied " we know the deli is a problem". It has been a problem for at least 18 months so why not actually try to fix it? I fruitlessly explained to her that there is ample labor to solve the issue if the floral, bakery and prep would support. Her response to me was " well they aren't trained". Really, I asked why they simple couldn't cross train since they knew they had problems there and got nothing but a blank stare............ I am absolutely done. If I gave my clients excuse after excuse and never fixed the root problem, I would very quickly be unemployed. Your customers and your employees deserve better. I always feel sorry for the one deli clerk burning in hell and doing their best to serve the line of frustrated and angry customers. This is obviously an upper management issue that allows this to continue. read more

I really like this Fry's location. Besides being the closest to our house, they offer a great variety of groceries and are always in stock. The staff has always been friendly, although I usually don't have to interact as I use the Grab and Go option! What's SUPER COOL about this location is they have Scan and Go! So when you walk in you grab a scanner and scan your items as you bag them in your cart or in your own bags. At the end you walk up to the self checkout, scan a barcode, and pay right there! Then you go!! No extra bagging (if you do it while you shop) no other scanning. Once you get a hang of it it is so easy and convenient. It even works for produce, however you have to weigh the items before you get to checkout which IS easy after you do it once. Scan and Go is awesome, I get disappointed when I go to frys that don't have it. read more

This is definitely the best Fry's in my neck of the woods (near San Tan Village mall). Customer service is fabulous and the produce section is far better than others in the area (cough* Baseline/Power Fry's * cough). Sometimes the prebagged lettuce is browning and it can be challenging to get by in the aisles with the workers restocking since they leave their carts in the middle instead of off to the side. Aside from that, I am always quite pleased...especially with the deli counter. Connie assisted me this past week and was prompt, friendly and made great recommendations. While she helped me, her colleague asked if he could get started on any additional items for my order. What great teamwork and service! The Boar's Head meat always tastes fresher here than Sprouts and the deli always gets our order right and cut the way we like. Fry's has some great deals and the Fry's card is a must to get those fuel points! Download the coupon from the website to receive double fuel points when we shop on weekends. read more

Tino at the customer service need more training as to customer service. He is NOT accommodating & very snobbish. We encountered twice already. We were sending money via Western Union and he came banging the door to the CS entrance. He seemed to hate his job. He answered the phone and page a manager. The phone dropped but he did not bother to fix it. After our transactions - we said thank you and he did not reply and not even looking at us. For this reason we will not transact with customer service at all if he is the one manning it. read more

Even though very busy, they always adjust on the go, whether is adding /opening checkout lines for flow or getting u something that needs to be replaced right at checkout. Great workaholics! Deli personnel can use some fine tuning, about half of them . Some look like they just don't want to be there, body language of tiredness, I'm more important than u attitude, and need to do a better job adjusting to the amount of people waiting in line. When u have 7 people in line , and 4 or 5 staff behind the deli , and only 1 person helping, that's a problem. Should not take 25 minutes to get 1lb of cheese. I'm still very happy overall with the store. John is amazing, helpful, knows his stuff . And Sherrys energy and attitude is. Contagious. Great store for the most part. read more

DO NOT USE THIS STORE FOR GROCERY PICK UP! As I just read from another review about this Fry's the same thing happened to me today. They charged me for 2 items that had not been fulfilled. They would not issue a refund over the phone so now I have to waste more time and gas to drive back to them. Not only is they're pick up bad though, this store in general is horrible all around in every way from management to well, the bottom guys on the totem pole. Haha wow what an embarrassment you guys! Compared to Fry's on Williams Field Rd (Gilbert, AZ), this location was much more organized and had plenty more inventory, especially the fruits. The staff was a little curt but still helpful with my questions. The check-out staff seemed sharp and efficient. I will likely shop here more often, moving forward. read more

Terrible customer service provided by the manager on duty Saturday night 9/16/23 around 6pm. I waited minimum 15 minutes after checking and bagging my own groceries for a single manager swipe in order to leave. The manager was notified several times by the self check out associate that their assistance was needed. The manager continued to check out at least 5 other customers while I was waiting. Once the manager finally came over to help, she aggressively pushed my cart out of the way, swiped her card at the computer and walked away. There was zero acknowledgment to myself as a customer, not even a courteous " I'm sorry to keep you waiting" nothing. I was not a human being to the manager. The lack of urgency and professionalism was very disappointing. The only positive was the express check out associate who was trying to advocate for me and help me get on my way. I feel sorry for the staff that has to work under that leadership as it can't be a very positive and conducive workplace. Won't be returning to this location anytime soon. read more
