I must say, what a difference a smiling, friendly crew makes for an experience. I'll start by saying that if you can drive the extra 4 miles, skip this Pecos and Higley location and get treated like a valued customer down the road at the Higley and Chandler Heights Frys. Or at least stay away from this place at night, and more specifically don't expect any warm and fuzzy feeling here. Night and day Difference,you will feel like you are crossing 8 mile coming to this store, at night. The nighttime manager (somehow is a manager )is this little fat black lady Who not only never smiles, but the rest of her team are just kind of doing their jobs and that's about it. You'll hear a sigh if she has to go out of her way or complete return. This nighttime manager and everyone on her watch, won't be winning any awards for customer service anytime soon. No thinking outside the box, one little thing is off... You can forget about getting any help from this store. But rest a sure did, regardless of the problem or who's fault it is or isn't , go to the other fries and they will take care of you. read more

They need to remove their Apple Pay logo from Apple Maps! I had to swing by after the gym and didn't have my wallet with me and specifically went here because it says they take Apple Pay. I spent 30 minutes shopping only to find out they don't take Apple Pay. Waste of time! read more

Having moved to Arizona from where the grocery store Wegmans originated (Rochester, NY) and is hard to beat, I was sure that we would never find a grocery such as this in AZ. I still have yet to encounter a store with such variety as Wegmans, but Fry's tries. It's clean and has competitive pricing. It offers a wide variety of products and fresh produce. The customer service is very good here. They also have gasoline points that gives you cents off gas each time you spend money at the store. Good store. read more

This location is clean, friendly and offers a wide variety of merchandise and services. They have a great beer, wine & liquor section as well as, a decent floral area and Starbucks. I didn't check out the deli or the bakery, but if they are consistent with other Fry's food stores, the ought to be worth the stop. The checkers were friendly and the store was clean. Went to the Starbucks there today and the service was horrible. The kid working had no since of urgency. I had to leave my drink as I couldn't wait and longer. So I basically paid $10 for a cake pop for my daughter. Never again will I go back to this Starbucks. read more

This places flower are gorgeous! The manager of the flowers is awesome. Their selection of bakery items is not very diverse though. I went there to get cupcakes for my birthday and thought they might have done just there ready like Walmart but I think you have to call in if you want full sized cupcakes cause all they had were mini strawberry ones that weren't even refrigerated. read more

I'm not a huge, huge fan of Fry's but I do periodically shop here for their sales when they are really good. A few times, I've had some issues, and they are ALWAYS willing to do whatever they need to appease me. I remember one time they had something priced wrong, like corned beef, and it rang up really expensive. This was one of their sale items at a really good price, like $1.99/lb. I bought like a bunch and it became very expensive because it was the wrong price. I went through the self-checkout area. Not only did they easily refund the difference and did not make it painful, they didn't make me grovel or anything like some places were. They gave me I think 1-2 free corned beefs and then like gift card for my troubles. Wow! Another time, something rang up wrong in self checkout and I had to go to customer service because I didn't notice until I got to the car. They refunded my money and gave me the item for free. There are some drawbacks to Fry's in general - not enough registers with cashiers and lines are long, but thankful for self checkout. The parking lots are always filled with people and crazy drivers. Guess the coupons and great sales drive the droves to their stores. Despite this, I always receive excellent customer service from Fry's from looking for stuff, to issues, to wrong pricing, whatever it is. There is always someone willing to help me. The customer service stations are always nice. Periodically we get lottery tickets as gifts from family and we have no clue. We just take the tickets to the counter and they are so friendly and tell us if we have winners or not. So, despite the few negatives, I give them 5 stars because they have excellent customer service and that will make me a customer for a long time. read more

It's your typical grocery store. Right now in Gilbert where I live, you have two choices: Walmart or Frys. I prefer Frys as there are less people that shop here that look like they belong on www.peopleofealmart.com. Depending on the cashier you'll get checked out super fast or super slow. All of the cashiers I've gone through have all been super friendly and haven't forgotten if I needed stamps or ice! read more

How come I have to wear a mask to enter and you have posted signs but your associates don't? I manage a restaurant and I have to wear my mask for my 9 hour shift! What makes your associates exempt from the rules? I personally don't believe in these masks but I'm following the government guidelines. It appears that I am not alone in my displeasure with the rude attitude presented by the pharmacy. The employee I have had negative experiences with is Stacee at the drive through window. After greeting her "hello" she stares at you blankly for a few awkward seconds... before asking shortly "What do you need?" It should be obvious that this is a prescription pick-up window and what people are there for. I have been coming to this pharmacy for over 7 years and they used to have an employee who was courteous and friendly. I pick up my prescription monthly and have been treated with attitude for just over a year now. There are plenty of other pharmacies within the area. I will be choosing one of those very soon. read more

I've been going to this Frys pharmacy for several years and have always had a great experience, with no issues, until recently. They have gotten several new employees and since then the customer service has been absolutely HORRIBLE!!! They are rude and not customer service friendly whatsoever! One of the pharmacist there is rude and constantly rolls her eyes and acts annoyed anytime you have contact with her! I will be permanently switching my prescriptions over to somewhere else!! read more

Great deals ending today on frozen fruit. We've been having partially defrosted frozen fruit instead of fresh fruit on hot days. Fantastic after-dinner treat or afternoon snack ! We tried the store premium brand, but were a little disappointed with the pineapple. Most of the pack were the tougher edges from the walls of pineapples, and they also weren't as sweet. We haven't opened up the blueberries yet, hopefully they will be better. read more

This fry's has the RUDEST employees i have ever met in my life, how this fry's is still open is beyond me. I was shopping this afternoon with my mother and we went to checkout in the self checkout. I moved a bag to make room and the machine freaked out so i moved it back and it freaked out again and said paging attendant or w/e it said and this girl comes over with an attitude (Cause you know god forbid she has to do her job) completely ignores me and starts talking to my mother like i'm child (I'm 32) "You need to tell him to stop leaning on the bagging carousel" "you can't afford him" "he's to expensive to buy" blaming me because your machines are garbage. Today, our cashier was very nice and attentive; a little chatty, but still very nice. But our bagger however, was on her phone half of the time and was chatting with someone else and giggling and had most of our groceries upside down in plastic bags when we bring reusable bags. Our bagger was so chatty and oblivious that my dad had to start bagging HIS OWN groceries, and unfortunately, that is just unacceptable! When we began to leave our bagger had left an entire bag of groceries in a plastic bag and we were about to leave without them until my dad spotted them and said something. Frys is normally a great place to get groceries, but today is was well below average. For all these reasons Fry's groceries gets a one-star review, from me. read more

My mother transferred 4 medications to the pharmacy of this Fry's store from the Walgreens down the street. All 4 medications were hand written on the same day by a male employee of the pharmacy. I asked if these medications will be qualified for the $100 grocery credit for the transfer of 4 qualified medications offer. He stated " Yes. The money will be credited to the fry's shopping card after you picked up all 4 medications." My mother stopped by to pick up all 4 medications a few weeks later just to be told that she only transferred 1 medication so she was not qualified for the $100 credit. She was able to pick up all 4 medications on that date even though she only transferred one :? The doctor office faxed the Hep B prescription to this pharmacy a few days before the transfer but they stated that they didn't receive it for some reason. I don't know what is going on with this pharmacy but things tend to go missing or never recorded for some questionable reasons. read more

The cashier completely ignored me while carrying out a conversation with another customer who had already paid. I waited patiently for a few minutes, looking around at the other non busy cashiers as they spoke to one another. I was hoping someone would offer to help me, or at least look at me and say something. No one did.. so I ended up walking away and checking myself out. Then one of the workers stopped me outside, which was embarrassing, to check my receipt. When he realized it was for nothing and how he was mistaken, he quickly apologized. So that's fine, he was just trying to do his job. I only wanted to buy ziplock baggies and dog food! I decided to call for they cook speak with their cashiers on being more friendly. It took me 10 minutes of waiting and the girl hung up on me, unable to find a manager. I called back and spoke to one in a few minutes, the store manager. He rushed me and interrupted me and basically hung up without me being able to let him know what happened. I've been a cashier before, even worked at a call center, so Im always extra friendly because I know how many rude people they must deal with. If only I could receive the same kindness from these employees.. I certainly won't be coming back. read more

We used to shop at this Fry's pretty much every week. The last several times we have been in it has been awful. On a few occasions the produce is sub par. On another occasion they were completely out of chicken breast...none in the store what so ever how does that happen???? On another occasion there were flys, like not 2 flys but like 50+ flys swarming the rotisserie chicken. I brought it to the attention of an employee in the selfie and I was told..."it's Arizona, it's hot and we are located next to farm land...we can't help it". OMG!!!!! REALLY!!!! Love shopping at this location! If you like customer service, this location will blow your expectations out of the water, by far the best customer service in town!! Always have the products I am looking for and if not, they go above and beyond to make sure I leave satisfied. Every time I went to Fry's I would make sure I checked out in Julie H's lane. She had a great sense of humor, always has a smile on her face, happy go lucky and just made my whole experience. The best part, she remembered our previous conversations and would follow up with me every time I came in. She asked and she genuinely cared... however, I haven't seen her in awhile. The pharmacist was extremely rude and in no hurry to fill a script for my sick child. I will be finding a new pharmacy.

This is a clean well lighted store. Their produce always seems to be fresh and their seedless melons are fantastic (in season). I really like their deli meats, but beware there can be line at any time, day or night. The only negative thing I can post, Some items are priced higher than some of the surrounding stores. All in all, I'd recommend this Fry's to anyone. read more

This is a classy grocery store! Sounds weird, right? But that's seriously how i felt going in for Doritos and Coke Zero yesterday. I also like that the layout introduces you to the produce and natural foods section upon entering, and if you REALLY want the junk food, you gotta hoof it to the other end of the store (literally; the crap is on the farthest wall from the entrance. The alcohol is closer than the snacks). Super convenient when I'm on the east side hangin' with friends. All i need to do is fill out the Frys card info sheet and I'm golden. read more

As soon as I walked into this store I knew right off the bat(Lucille) that it was gonna be a horrible experience. And Lucille was right......but only half right (up their @$$e$) because it wasn't completely horrible despite the fact that the Deli department was completely inconsiderate about their customers. I waited in the deli line for almost 30 minutes while 4 guys sampled 20 different sandwhich meats and all I wanted was 2 pieces of FFC . In that amount of time Lucille could've gotten me 20 wild chickens . This Frys is seriously understaffed....it's either that or they're really slow paced. I could sense that this frys has some potential so I'll give it a second chance. But they gotta remember that they serve Negan. I'm sorry Frys but Lucille was hungry that day and instead of feeding... you made her thirsty. That's why we're coming back in a couple of days....so you can feed us cuz we're still hungry! But other than that...you guys were okNothing personal just thought I'd give u guys some instructive criticism. read more
