Normally I always go to a Jiffy Lube or a Pep boys because the Walmart auto shop employees are very uneducated when it comes down to the simplest of things. I recently brought my vehicle in for an oil change around 9AM. They told me that it shouldn't be that hard and I'll hear back in less than 40 minutes. About a hour and 30 minutes went by and finally I got a phone call from the man who worked at the counter. He stated they couldn't work on the oil change because their tech deemed it "unsafe" due to what he said was JB weld put around the oil drain plug. I told the gentleman on the phone that it was just Teflon to and it could be switched out with the new plug I had purchased he told me they will not work on it no matter what. I told him over the phone I was not paying for no service in which he responded that they started but I needed to pay something. 20 minutes I got there to get my keys and the manager told me I owe nothing. I ended up taking my car to another place who were more than understanding and replaced the oil drain plug like I originally wanted. I've came to the conclusion that Walmart hires the laziest employees to work in the auto department. They couldn't care any less about helping people. Only care about making a paycheck. read more

RETURNS MADE EASY Yay for a good customer service at the Returns counter. I don't know how the employees (at any store) work at this counter. They must see people trying to scam them, or take advantage, all of the time. Because I feel like just standing in line and listening to the person in front of me, this can be heard from time to time. It'd be a tough job. So it's nice when a business has a counter full of patience waiting for you as you make your attempt at returning an item. Thankfully, we came in here with a receipt (that always helps!) and the credit card the item was originally purchased on also. We were returning my husband's iPhone case and the $36.43 refund went more smoothly than I would have expected. Janis was the manager on duty both the day of the original purchase and the day of the return (as shown on receipt). The managers here must be doing something right when training the returns department. read more

I want to specifically thanks Darla for her help at my recent visit to this store. My family had a recent move and our furniture was arriving after us, due to this we had ordered a new glider chair to rock our newborn to sleep until our furniture arrived, but after a long moving day we did not realize that the pickup hours ended before the store closed. I came to pick my item up after the regular pickup hours, but after explaining my plight to Darla, she figured out how to get me my item, which was indescribably beneficial for my family. I can't thank her enough for going out of her way to make a difficult day end up a whole lot better than it could have otherwise. Rarely have I felt as listened to and appreciated as a customer. I'm not a Walmart shopper, so let's start there. I don't like the crowds, the lines, the bad service (usually). HOWEVER, during our stop to stock up on camping supplies, my husband and I had an awesome experience at the Paso Robles Walmart. For every question we had there was a friendly face willing to guide us in the right direction. And major shout out to our cashier Marcia in the express lane! Friendliest cashier I've ever met and her smile was contagious. If we ever find ourselves on this route again this Walmart will definitely be our pit stop for supplies!!! read more

I went to get my oil changed and waited in the entrance to the lube bay for 10 minutes and no one even acknowledged me. The manager walked outside, looked at me sitting in my car and then walked around the parking lot for a little while and then went back inside. I left and went to jiffy lube across the street. It's more expensive but way better service and faster oil change. read more

Laziest staff ever managed. Tried to ask a staff member to check if they had popping corn in the back while he was chit chatting with his friends but gave me the usual lazyass line, "Everything we have is out there." I would have to burn a light on his tush to get him to do anything. Same with customer service, they refused to check their stock, saying that they restock overnight, without bothering to look up their computers if they had it. How would I even know if a second trip would be warranted? How incredibly inconvenient and incompetent to lack training to resolve customer inquiries. read more

Hey Walmart customers, be careful if you take your to Walmart for an oil change, I took my car for an oil change there thy didn't do it right there was an oil leak, and I drive my car to LA I was getting to LA when my car started working weird it turned off I called Walmart in Paso Robles and Richard form the auto department took my massage he told me they were going to take care of it, I waited for his manager to called me they never did, so I went to the store and filed a claim they, inspected my car and the manager from the auto department told me the employee that did the oils changed did not do it right he did not ensure that the oil cap was close good enough so that caused the leak. After that we filed the wait their Insurance company told me I needed to take my car for and inspection so I did, o got the report that there is damage on my car because it was driven without oil for more than 200 miles and now the insurance doesn't wanna pay for the damage they don't even want to reimburse us for money we spent to get the car inspected. So BE CAREFUL IF YOU TAKE IT TO WALMART they fuck up my brand new car read more

Well I was there last month and it was slightly less horrible so I figured I should update my review (I have considered it multiple times). Still crazy lines. It's like I'm at Costco sometimes. Rude employees are still there BUT there was way less trash this time. At least they took one of the things I had complained about in my last post and fixed it. I've been here twice so far. Not as dirty/messy as other Walmarts. Both times I've been in, there's been no greeter. The employees on the floor didn't say "hi" to me or even interact with me at all. I am doing this review based on comparison to other Walmart I have been to. First and this is probably the most important thing is for whatever reason they can not keep certain items stocked, which is horrible if you need to buy diapers or milk. YES this store seriously ran out of all the 2% milk, 1% milk and only had a few gallons of D. Layout is pretty bad too, very disorganized, dirty, have to check clothing sizes and not go off of the hangers size. GO TO TARGET. Literally the worst place ever. I'm going to try to be nice here. I get beyond stressed anytime I go here. I get reminded why I don't. I came here for a specific item target doesn't carry. It's always a zoo. Every single time. Children running wild in the stores. Everything is always so unorganized. Their aisles are too small for two carts to get in. Their main center aisle is too small people are basically playing bumper cars. Their return system sucks and there's always a long line. My credit card information has been stolen at this Walmart and when I called to warn them the people were so beyond incompetent it's incredible. Target is so much better. My 95-year-old mother has shopped here for years, but now management has decided not to allow their electric carts out of the store, so she has no way to get her items out to her car. Instead of sending someone with her to bring the cart back (and who knows, maybe even lend an old woman a hand unloading her items?), they expect her to transfer her items to a regular shopping cart, push it out to the parking lot, and load her car herself. read more

I gave my prescription to the Walmart Pharnacy and the lady confirmed my "id", phone number and address and she said it would be filled in one hour. That was 2:00 PM. I left and returned at 2:55 to pick it up. The lady at the counter said "oh, there's an issue and you'll have to see the lady at drop off". I'd and was told that Medicare need me to answer a question before they could fill it. Walmart could have called me for that answer but no that's not the Walmart way. Customer service be damned. They said they'd expedite the prescription and it would take 15 minutes. Fifty six, 56, minutes I got my drugs. This pharmacy is busy but they are terrible. Need it in a hurry, go to Walgreens. If I could give it zero stars I would. Do not use their Lube and Oil change department. They did not properly attach the skid plate to the bottom of my car and it fell down as I drove home. I returned to the store that same evening and got the run around regarding replacement of my now destroyed skid plate. I called corporate and was told it would take up to three days to be contacted by upper management. I end up with a damaged vehicle and they are in no hurry to remedy the situation.
