Visit this business during my mini-vacation due to unexpected seasonal allergies. The pharmacist was really nice and patiently explain the difference between each medication, offered suggestions. They also have a cooler with mini bottled water for customers. It is important for us to support independent pharmacies, local businesses, and I truly enjoyed their service, that is something that is hardly seen in chain pharmacies. read more

I'm really confused at how this pharmacy has received so many positive reviews after the absolutely atrocious customer service I received when trying to fill a prescription. I can only assume that customer service is going downhill here for some reason. I called and explained that I was almost out of my current prescription because my current pharmacy had been calling the wrong doctor's office to request an updated Rx for refills, and that it was absolutely crucial that I needed to pick up the prescription the next day. I provided the exact name and dosage of the medication, and they said to just have my doctor contact them with the updated Rx. The next day, my doctor called me and told me this pharmacy was unable to get this specific medication at all! WHAT?! If that was the case, the pharmacy should have told me that when I called instead of wasting an entire day having me wait around, and then requiring me to scramble and try to find another pharmacy that could actually fill the Rx even more quickly! For me, one of the worst things a business can do is waste my time by telling me they can do something, then not fulfilling that promise after making me wait around with the expectation that something is actually getting done. Brooklin Oaks Pharmacy recently opened and I wanted to stop by to check it out. The pharmacy is locally owned and operated, specializing in compounding, which is great because not a lot of pharmacies do that any more. It was also nice to support a new local business. I was tired of the corporate CVS, Rite Aid, and Walgreens and their lack of personalized care. The pharmacy is clean, new and nicely organized. The staff was friendly and courteous and willing to spend time with me to answer my questions regarding a new medication I was prescribed not like at other pharmacies where they rush through the medicine information and you walk out hoping you caught everything the pharmacist had mentioned. Best of all, the pharmacist was able to fill my prescription quickly while I waited. I look forward to returning to Brooklin Oaks. read more

This is a fantastic alternative to the long lines and sad faces at places like Rite Aid and CVS. Everyone is friendly and helpful and BO really has that old time small town feel, like Aunt Bee would have picked up Opie's Desmopressin. Maybe they lack the online presence of the big stores but the overall experience is a welcome relief from corporate healthcare. read more

Best pharmacy experience ever. First time I went to a pharmacy and didn't have to wait in line. Staff was very helpful on the phone with directions and answered my questions thoroughly. I couldn't get to the pharmacy until about 5 minutes before closing and I was afraid they might close early (this has happened to me before at another small business in the past so that colored my experience) Not this pharmacy. They were open with 3 people on staff who were friendly, helpful and professional. The place was very clean and COVID safety precautions were apparent. read more

This pharmacy is just the BEST!!!!!!!!! If you are looking for a new pharmacy, stop looking. You've found it. For my same prescription, Rite Aid wanted to charge me $82 and Costco wanted to charge me $137. Brooklin Oaks charges me $15!!!! They are always so nice (SO nice), quick, and just perfect. I just called in my refill (which was already ready for pickup, of course, because they're the best), and I didn't even realize that they hadn't opened for business hours. They were more than happy to help, and when I pointed out my mistake after reading the business hours online, they said that I was welcome to come on in anyway. What a nice pharmacy!!!! Very friendly and wonderful service. They were very helpful with transferring my prescriptions and dealing with the insurance. It took me minutes to get my prescription...had to fill some paperwork out for my 1st visit and learn their signature thing on the iPad, but it was fine. I'm soooo happy I moved to here. My daughter had a valid doctors order for a highly sought after medicine that is is adequate supply. Went to Brooklin Pharmacy and was told that as it was not a "local doctor" prescribing the script they would not fill it. Apparently a doctor with valid credentials and a DEA number is not sufficient. They get to decide which doctors they serve as opposed to how many clients/patients in the local community they can help. Many people are utilizing the push health.com service in these covid times as they don't or can't leave their homes and or don't want to risk it. Push health uses legitimate credentialed doctors from other locations to prescribe these lifesaving medicines. As a nurse, I might add is illegal for a pharmacist to refuse to fill a legally written script unless the script will do harm, or is incorrect at which point the pharmacist must call the MD writing the order. I called the pharmacy and asked them why it is more important for them to only fill prescriptions for 2 to 3 doctors that are writing for this drug in the local area, as opposed to filling for a "local client" with a valid script. No answer other than that is what the "owner" chooses to do. They will not get my families business anymore as they think they have the right to play favorites as opposed to helping people in need. This pharmacy may be new; but, they know their stuff. Friendly, helpful, caring. Exactly what you want in a neighborhood pharmacy. No long lines. They even carry Dr Teal's Epsom Salts products, which I saw on a Lifetime TV talk show. And if they don't happen to have something I need, they can usually get it by the next day. I have never been more pleased with the opening of a business than this wonderful, independently-owned pharmacy. The owners there are always available to help, answer questions, and counsel on your prescriptions. My prescriptions are always ready so quickly and many are on auto-refill, which helps since I have so many to try and keep up with. Once, I had called for a refill ahead of time and then something came up and I was unable to go and pick it up right away. Later that evening, I received a call from them, before they closed shop, as they wanted to be sure I was going to be okay over the weekend without that refill. Another time, I was prescribed a glucose meter that had me in fits trying to learn how it worked. Linda sat down with me (yes, they even having comfy chairs to sit in, and refreshments, if you do need to wait for anything) and together we figured it out and I was able to take the meter back home with confidence. I have told my friends about Brooklin Oaks, with its attention to customer service and friendly appeal, and they have all reported back with pleasure. We live in a world taken over by megastores and chains, and with a pharmacy it is often difficult to stand in a long line to wait to get your prescription when you don't feel well. Here, there are no long lines and no hurry to be moved along if you need extra help. We are lucky to have this pharmacy in our town. It is the kind of service that you would think is long gone in these times, yet they are consistently amazing in their ability to help with anything you have in prescription needs. read more
