First off I wanted to mention that at the pharmacy people need to take lunch. I said it before and I will say it again. If you don't check the hours and figure out a good time to pick up your prescription that's your problem no theirs. If you were working even at your own job and some one asked you to keep working during a time that is mandated as your lunch time wouldn't you be upset that someone doesn't understand that your human and you have to eat too. Another thing is calling into the pharmacy, I've called left a message like any other CVS, other pharmacy I've been to and they call you back usually within the hour and if they don't just wait or go in person and ask what the status is because maybe there was an issue that was going to take longer. Also the people at the front are helpful, as some one who has been going to this CVS for 4 years and going I have not had a bad experience. read more

For a while there I thought CVS on Niblick pharmacy was improving. Seems the turnover of employees is extremely fast. There is always a new face!! After my visit today I'm at my wits end. The customer service is horrific and that was an interaction with a pharmacy technician! Even if you're completely slammed, totally stressed , you still have to be respectful and polite to your customers and definitely do not make your customer feel like she does not know what she's talking about! I know when the prescriptions were last ordered, for some reason on CVS side they don't see when the last prescription was ordered! She told me that it only shows sometime in 2025 , the last prescription was picked up in June 2026 but she said couldn't see it because it was at the target CVS. But when we were discussing a previous medication just minutes before ,she told me she could see all the CVS locations we got medication from! Most importantly when it comes to a prescription that a customer needs and we've been getting our prescriptions at this location for two years. I don't believe we should be told to call the doctors office or go to the ER to get a prescription. read more

I do not plan to use the CVS Pharmacy on Niblick Road in Paso Robles again. The pharmacy used to provide good service, but that is no longer the case. It is no longer an option to simply say "talk to a pharmacist" and get past the ongoing automated questions. Instead, I have to answer numerous questions every single time, only to be routed to voicemail. I went around and around with this process for two days straight. I even contacted corporate, which took more than 10 minutes just to reach a person. I was then transferred two more times, and each time I had to explain the entire situation all over again. And even then, they couldn't necessarily get me through to a person. When I finally reached someone regarding my medications, I was told I would have to call back and go through the entire automated process again just to arrange shipping. What should have been a simple request turned into a complete nightmare. The lack of direct access to a pharmacist and the endless phone maze have made the customer experience beyond frustrating and completely unacceptable. I rarely write negative reviews. However, since no one seems willing to hear the feedback or have any power to create change or help me get my issues handled, this seems like they only way to get through. The individual people who work there are generally kind and want to help, however they do not seem to have any power to sidestep this horrible system. read more

May 5, 2026 The store does not answer the phone. It uses a horrible phone system. No one answers the phone. All calls go to Autobot and it's really annoying. You can't find out if a new prescription was sent to replace the one that required prior authorization . Horrid company. Long lines as well. Pretty much always. read more

In my last post about CVS I mentioned that they had fixed their computer system but sadly they have not. If you take any kind of controlled medication, their app will say that you can pick it up but when you push the blue refill tab they will send you back a text saying it is to early to refill this medication. This can go on for days! It can be maddening and confusing and frustrating. No one teaches you the rules, so I will tell you right now! No matter what their app says you need to pay attention to your own medication and don't ask for it before 30 days! Sometimes they will make you wait until the morning of the 31st. day. A lot of the reviews are regarding the pharmacy but my review is regarding the staff in the front of the store - awful and rude. I hardly leave negative reviews but this store clearly needs a whole re-managment. I ordered an Amazon package here to save shipment time and Amazon said it was delivered so I went in to pick up. Told the lady my name and she hardly glanced at the mountain of packages and rudely said sorry not here. I explained that my 2 year old daughter's birthday party was tomorrow and I needed the decorations and that Amazon said it was indeed there. She said sorry not my issue nothing I can do. I was so incredibly upset but just walked out. Came in early the next morning and a different lady went straight to the pile and pulled out my package.... Found out the other lady who couldn't find it the day before was the manager!? They need new front and back staff. New management throughout the store. Or this CVS is doomed. read more

I went into CVS to pick up a prescription at about 12:25p. I waited several minutes. There was a person being helped at the register in front of me. A young man walked up and said I could not be helped because they were closing for lunch in 1 minute. There was a woman that walked up and said she was picking up a prescription. He asked her name, said her prescription was ready and helped her. I stood there but he (nor the woman at the other register) even looked at me. I would have told them my prescription was ready as well (was called in over a week ago) . I understand them needing to take lunch, but had they asked if I was picking up, I could have been helped as well. Now I need to make a 2nd trip there. Very poor service! read more

This place is an absolute joke! I wish I could give it zero stars. Do not come here. Go to any pharmacy. Even if you have to drive to another town. They never answer their phone. You have to wait hours for them to call you back. If they are out of stock of your drug, they will never call you or even have their automated phone service let you know. They just don't fill it and you have no idea what is taking so freaking long until you are able to get a hold of someone. The line is always at least 10 people deep. Hire more people or get a more competent staff!!! And good luck if you want to transfer your medication once they get a hold of it, I have had two pharmacies try and when I get a hold of someone they reassure me that once they get the request they send it right away. I had to pick up a prescription today. I cane straight from urgent care and expected some wait. I was told 15 minutes. I didn't really believe that as I have had many bad experiences here. After 30 minutes, I inquired and was told they would "expedite" it. I watched the pharmacist fill many orders before 15 minutes after they "expedited" it I finally got my prescription. 1) They never answer the phone. 2) There is always a long line 3) A few of staff are at least friendly but they are usually the new ones and don't last long 4) Most staff are harried and give you the impression that you are a problem I changed to Amazon Pharmacy on 1/1/2025 and have had GREAT service. 24/7 phone answered by helpful, competent technicians. My medications come to my doorstep in 2 days, often next day. I only had to go to CVS because I am having surgery and am getting a controlled med for pain which had to be filled at a local pharmacy. Even when they are really swamped, they always try their best to help. That is not easy to find these days.

I called to check their inventory on a medicine before asking my doctor to transmit a prescription to there. It's a medication that can be in short supply. I've taken it for years and that's all in my CVS file. This pharmacy tech would not tell me if the medication was in stock or not. She required me to have my doctor call them. I explained he is busy and can't call 20 pharmacies to find out if they have any meds in stock. She refused and was extremely rude. Corporate Pharmacy indifference at its worst! read more

CVS is terrible! The line is always long, and it is hard to get what you need. The service is unfriendly and slow.

I get multiple prescriptions being a Type 1 diabetic. They always have to order my short acting insulin, then when it comes in, they send me threatening texts; you have 4 days to pick up; you have 3 days to pick up; this is the last day to pick up... Then, I have to stand in line forever to pick it up! Just get it filled when I request instead of a random week or two later! Then I can schedule my LIFE around my insulin and my job What a rotten approach! read more

If you want to wait in long lines, and a horribly managed pharmacy then this is the place for you. This place is consistently understaffed so it is not an accident. If you try to transfer to another pharmacy they tell the new pharmacy they have no record of you. I waited almost 30 minutes today on the phone and he said maybe they would have my prescription ready in 2.5 hours. I told him I would like to transfer prescription to a different pharmacy and he said have them call. I told him they did and CVS said there was no record of me, he then hung up on me. Do you really want to trust such an unorganized and poorly managed pharmacy with your medications? I wonder how many prescriptions they have messed up on. read more

Got a prescription sent to CVS Went to pick it up I was told 165$ I have numerous discount cards ( good rx , wellness etc etc ) I was told they didn't matter because my insurance sets the price Being a tad frustrated I refused the prescription , so I shopped around Right across the street was Walmart I checked with there pharmacy and the price was 95$ I opted to use Walmart When I wen to pick it up the girl at the counter looked at my cards and saved me another 65$ so my prescription cost me 30$ instead of165$ My input is CVS is a ripoff and don't be so impatient as to not shop around , these times are a little difficult so we must shop around and to hell with CVS taking advantage of senior citizens for profit read more

Picked up my RX like I do every month, waited in the long line as usual. The next day I got a survey emailed to me so I decided to answer the questions. Well, apparently the pharmacy "manager" Jessica Zafra didn't like the survey results so she felt the need to send me a very nasty Email stating that I have very poor judgment and accused me of being discriminatory. I reported her to corporate and filed a complaint. Don't know if it will help anybody in the future from being treated so disrespectfully by someone who can't even "manage" a pharmacy. read more

The pharmacist on duty that day, took a comment I made personal and started yelling at the top of her lungs so that the whole store could hear, and then threatened to have me banned from ever getting medication anywhere at any pharmacy in the county. I've been a long time customer of CVS. Over the years they have made several improvements. The pharmacy line moves quicker, the layout of the store has been modernized a bit. The staff are friendly enough, but no one seems to like their jobs very much, but the customer service isn't lacking because if it. Good for alcohol purchases and shampoos etc when you use the app and have coupons to use. They always have a seasonal section up front so you can run in and grab something cute. read more

I have been waiting on hold for an insane amount of time. Every single time I call to get my medication refilled it's a battle to even get someone on the phone! Especially with the 30 plus Covid questions it feels like they have the robot ask you and then the robot on the phone doesn't even do anything!!! The worst managed pharmacy I've ever been too. Every month my refills stay in -progress for 3-5 days until I physically go to the pharmacy to pick them up and at the time it's a average two hour wait until they are filled. I guess I need to find another pharmacy. read more

This is the worst pharmacy in Paso Robles. I had a prescription sent in to CVS last night from a local hospital at 7:00 pm 1/27/22. I waited to pick it up today 1/28/22 so at around 1:00 pm I thought I would call first to make sure everything was ready. Well 18 hours later from initial call still not ready for pick up. The pharmacist said it would be ready in 1/2 hour. So I waited until 2:00 pm to go pick up my perception. After standing in line to wait my turn the lady behind the glass said my prescription wasn't ready yet. She goes on to tell me that there is a 40-60 minute wait time. WTF... read more

Well here is my latest review of this pharmacy. Disgusted. Called on a Sunday to have my Letrole refilled and the robot told me I was eligible for a refill and said "would you like me to take care of this". I said "yes" and the robot told me my prescription would be ready the same day at 2pm. I decided to wait to pick it up the next day because my experience was they promise a time and it will not be ready. I actually waited two days. Went in and sure enough it was not ready and that it was too soon to fill. Well I took my last dose that day, hello?? I have no more. How could it be too soon to refill. Like I'm not taking two a day. So here we go again. I had to deal with Abbie again, who refused to fill my prescription the last time I tried to refill my diabetic test strips. She is supposedly, the manager. Well she needs another profession bc she is dumber than dirt and she has a permanent smirk on her face. The last time she refused to fill my prescription for some lame reason, I had to call my Dr and tell him about it. Well low and behold I got a call from the pharmacy to personally tell me my prescription was approved. Come on. These are not hard drugs I need. The short of it is Walgreens was my previous pharmacy of choice by my insurance but I didn't want to drive all that way so I took a chance on CVS. Wrong, big mistake, huge. I'm going to try and change back to Walgreens. Not that they were that much better customer service, but at least they didn't have lines out the door and short staffed. There really should be an option for 0 Stars. I cannot tell you how many times this location has screwed up my prescription and wasted SO much of my time, from automatically substituting a generic brand which I can't take, to failing for months to get me set up correctly on auto renewal or reminder texts, to this final, last straw - giving me absolutely no notice on my last refill that the prior authorization needed to be renewed in order for my insurance to cover the prescription. So now I'm desperately making calls and wasting an unbelievable amount of time trying to get this fixed before I run out. Just exasperated with this pharmacy. Time for a change. Update: Decided to give them over more chance. Wrong choice. Even though I have requested my prescription to be on autofill numerous times, once again CVS gave me absolutely no notice and letting me know my prescription had expired. So now I have one day to scramble and get it refilled. Thanks CVS. They also hung up on me. SO awful and rude! Absolutely looking for a new pharmacy! Update: Another example of awful customer service : The CVS app gave me a link to do a prepaid, express pick up. I paid online, got an email receipt, and went in to pick up my Rx. I asked where to pick up my express prepaid Rx since there was a huge line, and was told that they don't do express pick up! I showed her my receipt, and she said I still had to wait in the huge line!! What is the point of express pick up then?!? None, I guess. read more
