I arrived at 9:05 and waited for 15 min in a line only to be told to go wait in another line to "confirm insurance." Waited there for another 5 min to be told they already had the insurance but hadn't started the on the RX. So then they told me it would be 15-30 minutes. I still needed get some other things for my friends BUT the shelves are literally bare. Each aisle is easily 85%+ empty. So I went next door to Albertsons to grab the things needed. I came back to the pharmacy now 1.5 hours after my initial arrival and they still hadn't even started the RX. They were extremely rude and weren't helpful whatsoever. I would recommend avoiding this pharmacy/store at ALL COSTS!!

Initially the process was ok but I've never had an order take less than a week. Then I was told that insurance companies were "squeezing" them on pricing so I had to pay the difference between what insurance would pay and the profit they wanted. Finally they added a $30 "surcharge" to every visit. I finally had it after I picked up 2 prescriptions and the total was over $100! They also have inexperienced counter help who were unable to answer any questions and simply handed me a piece of paper that said the insurance companies were to blame. I had to take my business elsewhere, these people are taking out their anger at insurance companies on customers.

There's a small selection of pharmacy-type items, like first aid and some beauty products. The gifts are their big thing, though- for pretty much any occasion. They also offer free gift wrapping with nice paper, ribbon, and a gold foil Rexall sticker on the package. My main hesitation for that fifth star is the unrelenting onslaught of "can I help you"s, where it almost feels like you're being monitored while you browse. Of course it's always great to have help when you need it, but I find this level of engagement disconcerting and it makes me want to hurry up and get out of there. The prices on most items are higher than my budget allows, but they seem to be making the model work. I bought a pair of earrings here for $40 last week. It was too close to closing to have it gift wrapped but the cashier asked if I'd like a box for them. When I got home I realized she'd bent the cardboard card the earrings were mounted on to fit it into the box. Not a big deal but this did not make for a great presentation of them as a gift. This has not been my experience usually, as they almost always do a very nice job with the (free!) gift wrapping. They are closed on Sundays.

They are…read morealways pleasant no matter how busy they are, they have always gone out of their way to make sure my meds are filled properly and on time and are covered by my insurance (when they aren't they have actually been kind enough to call and warn me so I can get in touch with my doctor to get a different medication that's covered or figure out a better way to pay for it!) They even have convenient drive thru option for picking up and now even home delivery for meds that comes within a few days time. If I order my refills enough days in advance I usually do not even need to go pick them up anymore. Couldn't get easier than that! Thanks for having my back and making taking my daily meds an easier thing to manage! I really appreciate you guys!

In fairness, the doctor did not send the prescription until the last minute. When we first arrived, a very kind employee informed us that the prescription would be ready in about 20 minutes. Given the late prescription, I thought that was completely reasonable. Since we live about 20 minutes out of town, I decided to take my dad home and return later. When I came back, another employee--also very kind--told me the prescription would not be ready until 9:00 PM because of an audit. While that was disappointing, I understood that unexpected issues arise and was happy to return at 9:00, knowing my dad would have his medication in time for his next dose. However, when I returned at 9:15 PM, a different employee informed me that the prescription would not be filled until midnight, again citing the audit. When I explained that this was my third trip to the pharmacy that evening and that I had been told it would be ready by 9:00 PM, his response was, "I am telling you the correct information!" I consider myself a very understanding and patient person, and I recognize that delays and unforeseen circumstances can happen. What is unacceptable, however, is being given conflicting information throughout the evening and being spoken to dismissively when expressing a legitimate concern. Most importantly, this delay involved post-surgical pain medication for a patient who was relying on it for relief and recovery. I understand that audits and operational issues are sometimes unavoidable, but clearer communication, accurate expectations, and a more professional response would have made this situation far less frustrating.

This was something I'd tried to discuss with them twice on the phone before driving down from Cambria. I knew I was out of network. I was visiting Cambria on a holiday and trying to decide between driving 500 miles to home and back or paying the (criminal) no-insurance rate. I also told them, once on the phone and once in person that I wanted to cut down the ""refill" to just the supply needed for my trip. They ignored this twice and the person who was upset about my insurance coverage tried to ring me up for the whole 3-month supply for hundreds of dollars. Just terrible service, poor communication and a lack of comprehension that suggests these folks got their pharmacy certifications through grade inflation. That said, the woman who was running the front counter, who probably doesn't have a fancy cert, was nice and I feel like CVS should pay her to get whatever degree/certificate is required so they can replace the "pros" behind the back counter.

I called in a prescription and was told it would be ready in an hour. That was fine. I waited in line to see the pharmacy cashier and pick up/pay for my prescription. I'm told it is not ready. The young woman at the counter did not apologize. She said I could wait or come back. That was all she said. It was like she thought my time was worth nothing and I could just wait an indeterminate period of time or I could just leave without my medication. I had to ask: How long would I have to wait? She said 20-30 minutes. After I waited in line for at least 10 minutes that's a 40 minute wait. What is the point of calling in the prescription and being given a time that it will be ready and not honoring the time being given to the customer? Especially not acknowledging that the customer has every right to be frustrated. Terrible customer service. "Go away or wait." Rude employees who don't take any responsibility for achieving the expectations that they give to the customers. No wonder they look like they are going out of business. With performance like that, customers will not try to keep them open. Not me.

We were in Paso for a family reunion get-together for a few days. We had decided to have some of…read morethe meals at our rental house; not go out for every meal. We stopped in to Walmart to pick up a lot of the basics. It was later in the evening and they were getting ready to close. The night crew had already started the re-stocking process. Even with that happening, there were a lot of gaps in the grocery aisles, especially in the refrigerator cases. We weren't able to get everything we needed, which meant another shopping trip the next day. It was just an okay experience overall. I did track down one of their employees to ask the location of several items that I hadn't been able to find, despite going back over the same aisles several time. The aisles didn't seem to be laid out with any particular logic. Checkout went reasonably well, so that was a plus. Somehow this particular location seemed sadder and less organized than others I've shopped at in the past. Possibly a "B" store.

I loathe going to Walmart and will attempt to avoid this retail box store at all costs. It's not…read morethat I don't want a good deal but they stock a lot of lower quality items. There are a few "staples" that come from Walmart purely because of price. But I am happy to drive 5 minutes further for a better shopping experience. The store and parking lot is always busy, neither making for a positive shopping experience. It's getting ridiculous these days that so much product is now under lock and key, which means looking for a sales associate to help get you the product you need. Some aisles seem very narrow to move through when the store is busy, which makes a quick stop difficult. Lines for the registers, all of which are never open, are pretty long, which sends me to self checkout. Again, waiting in line because over half the self checkout machines aren't in use. Apple Pay isn't accepted either. Just too much I don't want to deal with here.
