During and post-COVID, I explored a vice and began going to local vape shops for a product that helps with sleep and stress. I always had the feeling like I was being judged by the cashier who used to work here. The cashier used to be a shorter guy who looked like he would be more suited to selling protein shakes at the GNC next door. I did consider it was just in my head, but he never seemed thrilled to help me and would look me up and down. This tobacco shop was one of the very few that closed for a while during covid because it was "not-essential." It's a bold decision to stand between folks and their nicotine fix... other shops were more sensitive to the issue and considered themselves "essential businesses" and stayed open while being safe. Anyway, I saw that Tobacco Mart was open at 8am while I was out and about, and so I decided to go in for a usual product. The cashier was all over the place and basically shared their Narc Anon testimony and spoke very negatively about the product I was buying. They seemed excited at the prospect of products being banned. Awkward is an understatement. It's like going to the liquor store and having the cashier tell you about how alcohol ruined their life and they can't wait until another prohibition. Sobriety is important, but so is the time and place to share. Also, harm reduction IS sobriety, if we want to get in it. Which I don't as a customer at 8am in the morning. So although they are open convenient hours, I will surely NEVER set foot in there again. They also charge 36% more than Wild Side! Wild Side gives fat discounts and never judges. I would say all in all the customer service is what makes this place awful, its family run so the owner let's his staff treat his customers bad. My family and I and my friends have been going to these headshops for many years and recently we had to stop due to being over charged and treated the most unprofessional I've ever seen across orange county, santa barbara, slo, and paso. read more

Very impressed!! Went in for a simple dry herb vape and got such a good deal I had to stay and shop! The customer service was incredible! Huge selection! Knowledgable staff and competitive prices will keep me coming back! I paid five bucks less for my vape than had i ordered it online!! Normally, you kinda have to wheel and deal to get a discount but the prices here are already so low and they will always cut you an even sweeter deal from what I've experienced! Way to go! Just got back from getting a gift. I wasn't expecting amazing customer service when I planned on going to a couple smoke shops today, so when I went to Empire Smoke Shop, and they weren't really helpful at all I sort of felt anywhere else I went would be the same. (it was seriously awkward just standing in that shop). When I went to Tobacco Mart I was blown away by the knowledge, help, and time the woman working was willing to give me. My experience with the Tobacco Mart has been just incredible! I was usually buying online because of savings but Cris at the Tobacco Mart has given me deals on mods and juices that the online stores cannot compete with. All of the staff is so helpful and friendly and go way above and beyond the call of duty. They have helped me so much with mod problems and never charged me. They have the largest and best selection of juices I have ever seen in one store. From now on I will be doing all of my purchases at the Tobacco mart and staying off the internet.
