I get that this is a discount store and you have to keep costs down, but please hire people who know what they are actually doing. Also could you train them how to provide customer service? When the manager is too busy to help a customer with an issue, they don't understand their purpose. Or a manager's response to three questions in a row is "I don't know"... This is a horrible location. How can you open a store but don't have all departments open. All the employees are lazy and just say oh someone will be here in 5 minutes. What ever happened to real customer service. The least they could have done is check not just walk by and ignore you because they are late. I was recently at Wal-Mart and had bought a game for$ 42:00 I searched the store to try to find it but couldn't find it we told the electronic department we had misplaced it and they said it was the customers fault it had been misplaced and wouldn't give us a new one or reimburse me because of their crappy customer service I'm out sometime $42 and without the game I had bought. read more

Yes its Walmart so what do you expect, 5 star service? I can tell you as a former employee your not going to get that EVER! Except if you came in my line, I gave top notch customer service with EVERY person no matter how bad management treated me! These people are over-worked and under-paid so I don't think going above & beyond is at the top of their list. However, each time I come to this location I'm always greeted by the greeters located in the front entrance :) Most employees are older, semi-retired folks that just want to retire but financially can't so I usually cut them a brake and give them a smile no matter what! I'm always able to find what I need except for certain pet items, the shelves look a little pathetic as if no stockboys ever paid it attention! The lines move super fast and yes the parking lot is a CF but what do you expect? Try avoiding this place the first few days of the month, you'll thank me for it! ^_^ read more

From what I understand, they changed managers between 6-12 months ago and this place has seriously gone downhill since. It is never clean, it is never well stocked and the employees are complete assholes. It's a Wal Mart, so most of that is a given, at least some of the time, but it is an all the time occurrence now. The only consistently friendly employee is the man in the wheel chair who is usually in the garden center nowadays and he is seriously the only one who can answer a question with a correct answer. Hell, he is the only reason I am OK with giving this place even one star. My biggest gripe with this place is that out of 5 shopping trips in a row in the past 3 months there hasn't been one time where I have left there and not discovered I was overcharged for something. I can't tell you how many times I have been screwed out of the sales price on an item and I have faithfully returned the crappy favor by returning the item and purchasing it elsewhere. Seriously, check your receipt and pay attention when you are checking out. ALSO, they will fight with you about honoring coupons printed directly off of their website! What a pain in the ass. Ugh... If there was a better option that was just as close I would shop there, but the one in Orange blows just as hard as this location and La Habra is somewhat of a trek (tho a much better store). read more

I called this Walmart to get tires for my car they told me they had 4 Goodyear Tires that I wanted in stock and they could put them on my car for me. I took my car in, went through the paperwork,they were busy said to come back about 5:30 in the car should be done I've got a call at 5:15 telling me that sorry we don't have 4 of those tires even though stock said we did we only have three. my old tires are coming apart I had to have tires couldn't drive it any further. Manager says do you know that one of your tires has a gash in ... Duh why do your think I brought it in. they didn't make me any other offers they also failed to tell me that they already taken the tires not only off the car but off the rims so now they were going to put tires that were coming apart back onto the rim and put it back on my car and let me drive off with them without offering me something else great customer service... so I asked if they could call another Walmart to see if they had one more Good Year tire that would match the 3 that had then they could put on my car oh sure we can do that then they informed me that oh but we will put the three on here and then you'll have to drive over to that Walmart to have the 4th or put on and it's 5 after 6 and they'll be closed by the time you get there. I do not recommend this place to my worst enemy. they're completely unorganized they have no idea what's in their inventory and it's a complete waste of time I ended up having to get something I didn't want simply because it wasn't safe for the tires back on my car even though they were perfectly fine doing it but I will never ever buy another tire from this place again. Great store; its not too far from where I work. Great employees and the store is always kept up nicely. Can be a bit crowded on the weekends--- but you can get in 'n out pretty fast if you want. As I have had problems with other Walmart's (Anaheim & Westminster) this Brea location and the one in Buena Park are the only two in Orange County that I will go to! read more

I visit this Walmart almost every day before work. I grab something to eat off the McDonald's or shop. This place is good, clean and well stocked. The only problem is there's always people begging for money in both entrance, I feel harassed. It's becoming irritated. Make me not wanna shop there anymore. read more

Short and to the point I get my Levis jeans here $21.00 a pair not the department store price of $30.00 - $50.00 same great quality at a better price great price on household cleaner and bathroom cleaning need the Mr clean with gain original scent is a great buy and smells great I have wooden floors with dogs all I can say is when my floor smell like dog piss Mr clean will take that smell and make it like my whole house just went through the wash. Highly recommend. Only downfall is do not ask any employees about the product they don't know what there selling they just sell it so do some research on your own or contact the customer support which is on the back of most packages so that's all over all great store for deals on name brands read more

So at the auto center just now and the guy comes and tells me that their cutoff time is 6:30pm. I tell him it's 6:26pm. He said yeah but the two cars ahead of me is the last one they'll take...so cutoff is not 6:30its 6:26pm...new management...website says they are open until 10pm. Get it together people. read more

I usually enjoy shopping a Walmart but this has to be the worst. As one reviewer posted earlier it's almost impossible to find someone to help you and when you do they give you e real attitude. We've done the ship to store and found ourselves waiting and waiting a the pickup counter for someone to help us. If I could rate this Wal-Mart a Zero I would. I've had multiple problems with this Wal-Mart but nothing bothersome enough to go out of my way to write a review, until today. I already expect the worst customer service you can experience when coming to this Wal-mart specifically. But now I've been on the phone for a half hour, I called 4 times. I'm on hold for the fifth time. I was forgotten about 3 times. So I had to hang up and call back. I mean a 7 minute wait... I'm pretty sure they forgot I was on the line. On top of that the person taking calls can not help with anything, isn't rude but you can not understand anything the person is saying, crackling voice, not clear, and always puts you on hold to get someone else to help. Which would be fine but no one ever picks up the phone after that to actually take your call. All I wanted is to know if they carry something so I don't drive all the way their to find out they're out of stock. The amount of time spent waiting in my car so I don't drive to the next place, and run into the same problem, was longer than me actually wasting the time and gas... 30 minutes or more guys, just for one question to be answered.......... read more

Terrible, customer service, left on hold for 20min. Then hung up on waited another 10 minutes before store manager would even get on the phone. I bought several bikes and after they put air in the tire , it was completely flat this morning. I missed my bicycle ride ....that I had planned for over a month. I am so frustrated. Do not ever buy a gift card from Walmart. I bought a $100 visa gift card from this Walmart and it never worked. I have the receipt and was told to go into the store and they would fix it. I spoke with 3 different managers (2 of which were super rude and unhelpful) and spent more than an hour in the store. I was told I had to fax them my receipt and card and I would receive a refund. I went home and did this, was given a case number, and was told the refund was on the way. Well that was 2 months ago and I have yet to receive the refund. I've called them and guess what they couldn't even locate my case number!! I spent more than an hour on the phone and was transferred to a million different departments until finally someone could locate my case number. They said the check was sent and that they needed to transfer me to yet another dept that handles refunds- they transferred me to an automated system none of which the options even matched up to what I needed. Needless to say I got nowhere with this call. And have still not received a refund! read more

Waiting for an oil change right now, been over an hour and they haven't even started yet, there were 2 vehicles in front of me. I've been here many times always the same thing. 2 young guys working hard but very slowly while two other older men snack, drink sodas and talk and talk and talk...one guy has literally picked up a box and put it down... In one hour. It's a cheap oil change but boy do you pay for it... Only stop by if you have a lot of time to kill! Not really a friendly place you might find a few here and there that help you out. but nobody really smiles that are working there. And can't always find help in some of the departments. But is a clean store. Not having to walk around stuff. Always see open items especially in the children's toy section that a little Lego bags open. read more

I've been to this store many times, as expected not much customer service but some associates are nice. It is what you get when everything is cheaper than other stores. I went today and purchased something from the sporting/outdoor area and I could not find any associates so I looked around for a while and found a female associate pushing a cart towards the back area layaway/online store pickup section, i don't know her name because she didn't have a name tag just several company buttons all over her chest. She's a heavy set Caucasian female.25-30 yrs old with blonde hair tied to a pony tail and she also wore glasses. I flagged her down for an assistance with a sporting good item and from that moment on the rudeness and condescending attitude appears. I asked if the store has an item in stock because i have bought the same item not too long ago but she immediately rudely responded "NO" before I can finish my question. I asked again if another item that I know they have on the shelf because I am staring right at it was in stock and she responded with a louder "NO" telling me that she has never heard of that product ever. This is were i stopped talking, bit my tongue and finished purchasing another similar item just to get out of there. I've worked and still am working in a customer service job for more than 2 decades with impeccable service but I've never seen the worse unprofessional attitude by this female associate. I really hope shes not a manager because shes is not leading by example. She did say "My pleasure" after I received my receipt but It WASN'T my pleasure. I really hope the upper management will look into this female associate and possibly let her move on to another career like possibly the Mcdonald's inside the store or the one across the parking lot. I like going to a sporting goods area with someone who has some knowledge and courtesy. read more

Terrible costumer service. I was in there to buy a baby gate for my puppy and I specifically went in the one line that sells cigarettes (the last line) so I could make one trip instead of having to go the smoke shop. The guy at the register said he was closed even though he was just standing there being lazy doing nothing so I went to the one next to it and she wouldn't sell me cigarettes after waiting in a long line she said I had to go to the register that the boy was at because that's the only one that sells tobacco. I said he was closed and she said oh well he just reopened and I look and there is a line I said I'm not waiting in line again. They totally were unsympathetic so I went next door instead and bought my puppy gate a baby's r us and they were much more friendly on their costumer service! Walmart is always low class. Oh and the same baby gate at baby's r us was 8$ instead of 20$ at Walmart! read more

On July 3, 2016 at about 11:30 am I was returning a defective water pic I had purchased at Brea store for about $56. I did not have my receipt or the box the water pic came in and I just wanted a replacement or a store credit. The store only had the display locked down couldn't buy it. I stated it was leaking from the handle. The associate at the customer service desk called the supervisor Terri Beth, for assistance. The supervisor said, "Well I have one at home and it works just fine!" I don't care if her item worked fine or not. I shouldn't have to prove a defective item at the Walmart service desk. I've never had my honesty questioned at Walmart stores. I am very disappointed the store supervisor is so rude and unprofessional. I felt degraded and embarrassed with the other customers watching. I hope the future training of Walmart associates will address this type of issue. I will shop for more expensive items from now on with Amazon.com where I know my returns or exchanges are managed in a more professional manor. Now I regret buying a brand new 60" tv from that same Walmart just last week. read more

Walmart - Department Stores Near Me - Brea, California

This review is the for Auto Service Dept. We purchased the tires on line to be delivered to the store for installation. Picking up the tires was no issue, very quick service. We we the only car in the bay at the time and was told it would take 45 min to install the tires. We were asked if we wanted the hazard warranty, balance and new valve stems. This was all asked of us PRIOR to actually changing the tires. We said yes to the balancing and no to everything else. To our knowledge there was nothing wrong with the valve stems. 2 hours later our truck was ready, two cars getting oil changes that showed up AFTER us had been put ahead. Then when we got rang up they charged us again for the tires that we had already paid for online. It took about 20 more minutes to get a Manager to void the transaction and rewrite the work order. We arrived at 4:45 and left at 7pm. We were happy the amount of time we were there but didn't complain. Everyone was very nice and helpful. 10 mins after we left we stopped to get something to eat and noticed at that time the front driver side tire was significantly low. When my husband bent down to check it he could clearly hear air escaping. Now it's after 7pm and the service dept is closed. We had to stop to put air in the tire and find a tire shop open to address the issued immediately. Air was coming out fast. Thank goodness Pep Boys was open. Turned out that ALL 4 valve stems were basically rotted. They just barely touch the one that we heard leaking and it fell right out. 3 of the 4 were in 2 pieces and the 4th was in split in half. We were advised that had it fell out while driving we could have had a serious blow out. It was going to cost $140 for 4 new valve stems and flat tire repair on each tire. Thank God for the guy that was helping us at Pep Boys cause he spoke to his manager and explained our situation. He ended up only charging for the new valve stems. I can't believe that the service man at Walmart didn't notice the condition of the stems when he did the change out. And I certainly can't believe he didn't hear the air coming out when he was wiping off the blue from the tires. We heard it loud and clear. In fact, the leaking tire was the ONLY tire that had a significant amount of blue left on it. It comes across that they only cared out getting out of work on time. This could have been a really bad situation that would have cost us hell of a lot more than an additional $40. Total negligence on their part. I'm going back today with the stems and notes from Pep Boys to talk to a Manager. I certainly feel that we should get some type of compensation for this situation. Last year at Christmastime I had my $100. new boots and some other Christmas presents stolen out of my car. I think it was the cart guy short with dark hair...maybe 35yr old. When I was getting out of my car to go into this Walmart, there was a domestic quarrel going on in the parking lot. He told me that there were cameras that would catch it. I was upset a little cuz the man was hitting his female companion. So, I was distracted and didn't lock my car. Everything was gone when I came out. It was him. I purchased a battery in 2013, as AAA did not have one available for me, while I was passing through Riverside county. AAA told me to go to Walmart. 18 mos later my battery was losing charge. I went in to Walmart Brea, and was greeted so kindly by Jim, after a few tests, he took me inside (even held the door open for me), he replaced the battery for free!! no hassles - not one bit, the auto center clerks was friendly and nice, up to the supervisor. what a wonderful day!! read more

I don't normally go into this Walmart even though its the closest one to my house. I usually go to the one in Orange off of Tustin because the inventory selection is bigger and better and the employees are helpful and nice. Anyways, I go to this Walmart for my oil changes and stuff with my tires after I was really impressed the first time. Essentially, I have been having issues with one of my tires as the air keeps leaking out and I have to put air in it every morning for the past 4 days before work. Today I was able to run it by here so they can patch it up like they did with another tire. No big deal right? I got there showed that my low air pressure light was lit, showed the tire (which was obviously low on air) and explained what's been going on with it and mentioned the fact that there's a lot of construction by my work and nails and such have been getting into my co workers tired and such. Again, no big deal, right? I was told it would be about 20 minutes so I walked into the store just to kill time. I came back 30 minutes later to get my car and the woman seemed like I was taking up her time and inconveniencing her and said "What did you need?" (Pardon me, but I am a manager in a Customer Service position, I would never allow any of my employees to speak to a guest this way.) I asked for my car and she said "It's not done" in a curt manner. A little irritated from the attitude but whatever, I sat and waited in the room. About 15 minutes later, I still haven't been told anything about my car nor did any of the people say anything as they walked past me several times and I was the only guest there! I walked up and waited to check on my car. Again, got greeted in a snarly way, then was told, nothing is wrong with your tire. I replied saying "That's funny because it was nearly flat when I came here and have been consistently pumping air into for days". All in all, I got the darn receipt asked for my keys like usual and she didn't have them... (Sorry, that set an alarm off). Then she, again curtly, told me my car was outside and my keys are in it. My car was parked off to the side, not even in any where decently like they normally park it, they had my car completely unlocked with my windows rolled down and the key in the ignition. This really pissed me off after no one mentioned anything about my car being ready and what not as I sat there and waited as the employees walked passed me. Another thing that had upset me is that the woman at the desk wanted to argue with me about the whole ordeal. And now? My tire is near flat again. Thank you Walmart, another reason why I can't stand the company. And the final step for me to cancel my credit card there as I won't be going back again. read more

The walmart is located in a very convenient area with low traffic. I like the huge parking lot. Most of the workers seem unhappy most of the times, but I assume that they aren happy because they dont receive enough pay. I will continue to come here as walmart provides jobs to many. read more

I've had pleasant enough Walmart experiences elsewhere, this though was a whole different level... I'd had a battery installed at another Walmart, fine, pretty straight forward, in and out. I have what turned out to be alternator issues and that new battery died on me on the freeway today, not Walmarts fault, but I didn't know that yet. I got towed to this Walmart because it was close and I thought it was a bad battery so I thought I'd get it swapped. I upgraded from Valuepower to Everstart in the same size and they only credited the core refund for the week old battery they replaced, fine, maybe thats my fault, maybe I should have just done a straight swap, but I was treated like a piece of garbage from the time the service writer first approached me, to the manager talking down at me after I walked up to check on the status of my car after nobody ever called the number I gave them to the cashier trying to blame their system crashing on me sliding my card to soon. After everything was said and done I was out about a hundred dollars and nobody bothered warning me my battery light was still on because well, that was never the problem, but they were willing to pretend it was long enough to get my money. read more

Just don't understand people who hate Walmart because they are big enough to keep prices down so lower income families can afford to shop, have better selections than Target, and employ thousands of people across the country who would not be employed without them. I've never experienced rude employees at this store, only ones who are engaging, especially if one takes the time to engage with them. Complaining about their parking spaces on an angle? Really?! It's safer for the majority of drivers to pull into an angled spot than it is into ones that are parallel to the lane. Oh well, everyone has things that drive them crazy. I like this store. It's clean and although not every shelf is brimming with products all the time, that just means there's lots of people who shop there because they need/want to - even those who don't like Walmart except when they need something only Walmart has, like a white work shirt. Maybe that's why lots of other people shop at Walmart - they have what they like. I like the prices and selections. read more
