About six days ago I visited this location for the first time. I was super impressed with the friendliness of the employees. I was there to get a deal on two items for my father. I've been to this location several times, and Morlan has always been incredibly helpful. I recently came in to drop off a return package, and he patiently answered all of my questions and made sure everything was taken care of. He even followed up afterward, which really gave me peace of mind. You can tell he genuinely cares about his customers and takes pride in his work. It's also a great place for printing photos and making copies. Great customer service is hard to find these days, and Morlan is the reason I'll keep coming back. Horrible pharmacy service and completely disorganized staff. I came here only to get a vaccine, which should take just a few minutes, but I ended up waiting over an hour and a half. The biggest issue is that everyone was doing jobs they weren't supposed to be doing. The nurse who was supposed to be giving vaccines was instead helping a customer who was taking forever to decide which medication to get, while the line kept getting longer. Meanwhile, other employees who could have helped were just standing around, careless and not stepping in at all. No one seemed to care about the growing line or patients who were clearly waiting. After all that time, I was told I still didn't even have a patient appointment, even though they continued helping walk-ins the entire time. No communication, no urgency, no apology. Extremely disappointing and poorly managed. Do not come to this pharmacy if you value your time. read more

Well your pharmacist called me a liar because I had a prescription for Norco because I broke my ankle. He was rude and told me they will never fill a prescription for me. So here I sit after midnight in horrible pain looking for illegal pain pills on the street because this Walgreens pharmacist was rude and refused to fill my very valid prescription. If I die from finding illegal pain pills, I blame Walgreens. Take a look at my ankle. Do you think this hurts? No wonder Walgreens is going out of business. I have nothing for pain because YOU declined my very legal prescription. And then refused to give me his name. I would never wish anyone harm, but I hope the person that denied me pain relief injures himself in the same way. He is a horrible person for denying me my legal prescription, yelling at me and calling me a liar. Karma will come back to you Walgreens pharmacy. I am a senior citizen and do not deserve to be treated with such disrespect. read more

Pharmacy is a disaster. Hours of operation are so limited, most employed people can't make it in during the week. Weekend hours are even more limited. Staff is snarky, unhelpful and unqualified. Backroom stocker called in to help in pharmacy? Is that legal? Pharmacists are unhelpful and unknowledgeable. I can't warn enough about this particular Walgreens location. Think twice before buying a gift card from Walgreens. I purchased a gift card and saved my receipt and activation receipt, but the money was used before I gave the gift card away. Sephora states to call my bank for fraud, and Walgreens will not be held responsible, saying I was scammed. Well, I am out of money, and I trusted two well-known companies to buy a card from, but yet no one will take liability. If Sephora really wanted to, they would check where the online purchase was shipped to and whether it is affiliated with a Walgreens employee to see if it helps with all the "scams the manager" is claiming to be associated with the purchase of a gift card from this location. As mentioned in the beginning, do not purchase a gift card from this location unless you don't care. read more

Store is ok with easy parking. However, store employee doing Fed EX was grumpy, rude and definite negative tone. I was admonished (and not in a nice tone) because I didn't tape the package (I am used to UPS) Couldn't understand her rude mumbling and had to ask her to repeat it. Wow, I'm officially changing pharmacies. The customer service is sad. Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice, shame on you. The first instance was when my doctor prescribed an inhaler for my toddler son that he physically cannot use. I now paid out of pocket for that prescription and I can't even administer the inhaler for my son. I understand, you won't take it back. But the pharmacist should have verified the age of my son and realized that he was not old enough to even use that inhaler that my doctor did not prescribe. Last week, I refilled my son's epi pen, again paying $100+ for it. The least I could ask for is to have an epi pen that is good for 1 year to cover his school year. I picked up the prescription and didn't open up the stapled bag on the spot, only to realize when I got home that the expiration date is for April 2024. Because I didn't check the expiration date at the pharmacy, there is nothing they can do. All of which I understand. Note to self: Always check expiration dates at the pharmacy from now on; actually, DEFINITELY check the expiration date if you're going to come here anyway. But when I call the pharmacy manager Jeff Wong and he instead raises his voice to me exclaiming my only course of action now is to check with the manufacturer, that's where I draw the line. He couldn't be bothered to even accept fault for giving me a prescription that clearly was expiring earlier than their other inventory (yes, the store checked for me on Monday). Have some common decency instead of masking behind a shady rule and shortcutting my son's life saving medication by 4 months time because you can't get it off YOUR shelf. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I come to this Walgreens pharmacy because it's close to my Dr and was close to were I lived. The pharmacy people have no customer service training, they seem to work there by force and the prescriptions take a long time to be ready. I recently got a medicine prescribed and thought I would run some errands to give them enough time I showed up three hours after and my prescription was still not ready and when I asked the pharmacist why they took so long she couldn't give me an answer. I'll be switching pharmacy soon. If you have time to spare this is the place for you! read more

All I did was ask if she could ring me up for some pictures I had printed out and her was response was "You are going to have to wait" and when I asked her politely to repeat herself she emphasized how I was going to HAVE TO wait. My experience at this store was very disappointing. I was trying to develop some pictures and was having a hard time with the app I was using therefore my order was not received. No one offer to help ,they were very dismissive and rude. And one of the workers or sale people was talking about me to another employee as I was not there. I will never go back to this store. Came in today at 8:34 AM for two major things. One was to pick up an RX which the pharmacy was still closed and didn't open till 10 AM. The other thing I needed was just a basic black and white print out. So I went to the area where the printout monitor is can there was a girl, hair in a bun with glasses sitting behind the counter. I believe her name to be "Monica". I explained to her that I didn't need any posters or anything fancy, just basic sheet of paper, black & white print out, 8 x 11. She starts telling me all the prices for posters, etc. She seems to not understand. I explain to her again that I don't need posters, just a plain cheap print out basic paper, black and white. Another employee walks up next to her and stands and watches (who I later find out to be the manager "Tai Chuong"). So this "Monica" girl tells me its $3.99 and I tell her that this is the same price as for a photoprint and that I am not needing photoquality print, just basic plain printer paper. She insists that that is the price for plain basic paper. I ask why are the prices so high when compared to Fedex and even the Library down the street who can print that out for 22 cents. She then becomes very unprofessional and snaps at me saying "Well then you need to go to the library!!" With the manager standing right there doing nothing. I simply walk off as she is still talking and then she yells behind me in a very devaluing tone "You're WELCOME!!!" I leave and come back at 10 am for my RX pick up and before I do that I request to speak to a manager from the front counter lady. She is always nice to me btw. Anyway, the same guy "Tai Chuong" that was watching all this comes up and says he's the manager. Since he was there seeing all that I inform him that I'm giving him a chance to respond as this "Monica" person has done this type of unprofessional snapping at me and other customers before and that I've observed her even doing it to fellow coworkers. I tell him I'm thinking of reporting it to Yelp review and even to corporate. He just stands there, doesn't even apologize and really he was just apathetic to the whole thing. It was only after I called corporate that he called me and told me "Oh she is usually nice but I'll talk to her". She seems very comfortable in snapping on people and displaying subtle passive-agressive behavior towards customers and even her fellow coworkers. She also seems to have no respect or worry for the manager. Whole atmosphere comes off as she'll be the one to tell HIM what to do instead of him actually managing and controlling his employees' attitudes. All that extra attitude at random strangers will get that immature girl nowhere quick. But I guess that's what we have to contend with and I guess Walgreens is hiring cheap labor, so that's the type of people you will deal with here at this Walgreens. read more

The Pharmacy, NOT the Store. I've had an issue where my doctor sent my meds to a CVS. The CVS said they can't undo the med fill (for my insurance to cover them at this Walgreens). The CVS is in Downtown LA and my doctor's office isn't answering or returning calls and it's been days. So, CVS says I need the pharmacist at the Walgreens to contact them to verify a few things so they can approve forwarding the meds. I called Walgreens--and Jeff answers. I tell him about the situation as brief as I did here. He cuts me off as I explain to him that I NEED his help to get my PSYCHIATRIC meds. Jeff cut me off, again, saying, "No, no, no, no, no--I don't have time for this and the other pharmacy probably doesn't have time for it." I began to ask a question and he cuts me off and say, "Thank you-- bye-bye." I don't understand what I did but I just need/needed help. There are let downs here, everywhere, but Jeff was a giant one in this situation, in my opinion. If it means anything to anyone the PHARMACY--not the store...the PHARMACY apparently has too much going on so I don't recommend sending your meds there! If you have your meds sent there already, consider being kind, and 'lightening Jeff's workload' by moving your meds to a different location. I mean, he doesn't have time for customers to finish sentences--he MUST be SO BUSY like he says! read more

People need their medications for serious conditions now I have to figure out how to get it transferred and dealt with because my medication is needed. This Walgreens has two free electric vehicle chargers (Volta). It abuts a church and a car wash so even though there's a reasonably sized parking lot it can sometimes appear to be full due to non-customers parked there. The staff are always friendly and since the start of the pandemic they have put out hand sanitizer, required masks, have plexiglass dividers at the check-stand and remind guests to distance themselves. The staff are (and always have been) friendly and helpful and I've noticed recently that once a couple of people get in line they bring up more cashiers. This location has a small but helpful grocery section that I tend to frequent more than I care to admit :). Milk, ice cream, eggs, bread, taco seasoning, chips, cookies, sugar... you name it, they actually have it. Fair booze section, too! This location also offers curbside pickup though I have yet to try it. There are designated parking spaces for such shoppers so that's good too! read more

This is the best little store. Folks there, like Denise at the front, are friendly and helpful. Jeffrey and Jennifer and Carlos in the pharmacy remember my husband and me every time we come in. There are times when someone goes out of their way to help you. Today was one of those days and I am so grateful. I have a chronic disease which requires a prescription to manage it. It is manufactured in the UK, so we all know that a huge shipment is sitting in a cargo ship somewhere near San Pedro. Every month finding my prescription takes a slew of phone calls. Today Alize at Walgreens took that task upon herself and found my inhaler at a nearby Walgreens. My husband or I have always had to do that ourselves. It's stressful and triggers my asthma. The fact that this little gal went out of her way to search it down and find it, is beyond words. She saved me from the stress and another asthma attack. Seriously! Thousands of blessings upon you Alize, your children, and your children's children for helping this little old lady out! Walgreens? This gal needs a raise! read more

As a Registered Nurse, I know the value of establishing relationships with medical practitioners, and this is true for pharmacists, as well. I've been going to Walgreens on the corner of Colorado and Sierra Madre for years, and as an older person have gotten to know Jeff and Jennifer well. Despite a busy store and pharmacy, they always take time to review medications and answer questions. A recent example: as a hearing impaired person, it's sometimes hard to hear in a noisy environment, and reading lips is impossible with masks. Jennifer used her computer screen around, and in large type clarified how I should be taking two new medications concurrently - her instructions were clear and reassuring. Been going here for a couple years and the staff couldn't be friendlier, the place couldn't be cleaner and they typically have everything I need. And when the pandemic was starting, as a mom of a little one, I asked them if they would consider limiting the baby wipes they allowed to each customer to buy, (folks with kids in diapers were finding themselves out of luck because of people going nuts with TP hoarding). They complied and thanked me for letting them know. They have stuff I can't find in my supermarket and have great toys! I am tried of businesses (Walgreens and others) arbitrarily closing their public restrooms. If you can take my money, then I need to be able to urinate should I need to while I am shopping in your store. Somewhere in the building is a functioning restroom; complete with a toilet and a hand sink. If there is no bathroom, then where do the employees go? In addition to requiring employers to provide restrooms for their employees, State law also requires employees to wash their hands after using said facility. So this afternoon I caught a flat tire 1/2 mile south of the store. Been driving 60+ minutes on my way to the house. I walk to Walgreens in search of a can of Fix-a-Flat. Alas, I am challenged to concentrate as I have to urinate, badly. I enter the store, walk to the back wall of the store and walked its width until I found the public restroom. The sign on the locked door said "Public restrooms beyond this door". So I spotted a clerk walking towards me and asked her for the code for the restroom. She looked at me and said "sorry but the men's restroom is out of order". Wow, just my luck, only the men's room is broken. I asked where do the men employees I passed go to the restroom when they need to? Silence. Frustrated, I left the store and went to the car wash next door. Although it too had a locked door, the lot attended released the code without hesitation. Bottom line: If its okay for me to spend money in your establishment, then I should be able to use your restroom if I need to. If not, then you do not get my business. I'd vote for a law requiring that you provide public restrooms, particularly if you sell any food for onsite consumption. Any costs your business incurs in the provision of public restrooms should be included in your operational cost. Whatever the appropriate mechanism is, the key takeaway is that businesses, or even the Walgreen clerks, should not have the right to tell you the bullshit line that the restrooms are broken. Bought the can I needed at Ace, 1/2 block north. Paid $7 less, and could have used the restroom if I needed. It ain't rocket science. read more

This review is about the store's pharmacy services. The main pharmacist is extremely professional and helpful. It's a couple of the other less experienced ones that made me decide to switch to another pharmacy. 1) I dropped off a prescription for a medical lotion for my skin problem. The pharmacist on shift said she wasn't sure if they had it in stock and took some time to look for it. That's fine. She came back several minutes later with a bottle of something, held it up and squinted at it uncertainly, and said, "Well... I -think- this should be the one... it says 'lotion' on it... Did you want it?" Um, no thanks. Not if you're not even sure you know what it is. I said no because it didn't seem like she knew if it was the right medication. She said okay and didn't apologize. 2) On another day, I went to pick up my monthly birth control pills. It was a younger guy on shift this time, and the whole time while he was packing up the prescription and ringing me up, he gave me the most dumbfounded, wide-eyed, speechless look, as if to imply I have sinned the greatest of all sins. Fine by me if you think that but be professional and keep it to yourself. read more

This is your basic, retail drug store. There aren't any frills, but the staff is very friendly. The store is very clean. I just picked up a photo order that I was able to submit online. That's always nice to do, especially since the CVS's photo processor down the street is broken quite often, as it was today. It has a great parking lot, and the store is very clean. read more
