SAUSAGE & CHEESE OMELETTE + Lyonnaise potatoes (side) + whole wheat bread (toast) The sausage & cheese (we asked for Swiss instead of American) omelette itself wasn't anything worth raving about as it was pretty typical. MEHHH.. super disappointed. This place was recommended by a hotel staff member when we asked where we can get a quick breakfast. The wait time to sit was 45 mins to an 1 hour. No biggie to me, I just was short on time and placed an order to go thinking I didn't have to wait as long. WRONG. After 40 mins of standing by the hostess area where I placed my order (breakfast magic I believed I ordered?), I asked her when my food would be ready. "Oh it's ready now, let me go get it" *eye roll* Sooooooooo you knew my order was ready to go but left me waiting how long extra since it was made just for me to bring it up to youuu???? So annoying. I had max 5 mins to eat the thing once I was able to sit outside by a bench and once I opened it, it ended up being a lousy regular waffle with a simple egg and some bacon crumpling on top. Cold obviously and the overall taste was just blah. I wasted 40 mins for this? A waffle takes literally 2-3 mins to make on a waffle maker and an egg another 2 mins.. I threw most of it out. I feel nausea now just thinking about the taste. read more

The taste was OK, but it just seemed thick and a little tough for a place that has biscuits in the name. I ordered the vegan grit bowl. and substituted the pork sausage for the vegan patty. The sausage is made in the house and really really good. Lots of flavor. They also have chicken sausage which I was told is the same ingredients just with chicken so probably very good as well. The patty was thin but the bowl itself really wasn't expensive so I'm not mad at the patty size. Without an iota of hesitation, I ordered the $12.89 Early Bird Special. Even though it's been a while since my last greasy spoon experience, I thought it was a pretty good deal with two fried eggs sunny side up and two silver dollar-size grilled sausage patties laid on top of a bed of their housemade home fries just greasy enough to satisfy my undemanding palate (Photo 8). I went for the pancake instead of the toast, and this was my one misstep because no matter how much butter and syrup I added, the flavor refused to lift off (Photo 6).
