Ordered: Megaberry, BC Breakfast Came here at around 11 and was glad to have some brunch. We ordered the Megaberry Waffle and the BC Breakfast. The Megaberry Waffle was amazing. Waffle was fluffy, berries were sweet and tart, and nothing was overpowering the other. Instead, the flavors blended perfectly together. If you like sweet breakfasts, this is the one for you! On the other hand, I also enjoyed the BC Breakfast, but was kinda sad when our bacon came out extra extra extra crispy (burnt). On me for not asking for a new one, but we still enjoyed our breakfast nonetheless. Toast was buttered, eggs were runny, mushrooms were mushrooms, and the home fries were a nice touch. Service was great, our waiter was really nice and welcoming. The place is pretty decently sized and there's plenty of seating.
Couldn't believe this place was empty when I came through but I'm glad I didn't have to wait. Waffle was amazing. Visited around St Patrick's Day and they had a corn bread waffle, stuffed with cheddar and sausage, and topped with avocado... weird but so, so good.
9/18/2025 Ate List: B.L.T. - 8.3 Berry Waffle - 8.1 Breakfast spot for lunch. Was pleasantly surprised that their BLT delivered on my cravings. Would absolutely have again. We also split their Berry Waffle - felt like we couldn't not get a Waffle from a spot with Waffle in the name. Super sweet. Very delicious. Could see this one satisfying a craving too.
Arrived on a Sunday right at opening. Plenty of seating. The staff were friendly and super attentive. It was almost impossible to decide on what to order, as I wanted to try many things. (I'd suggest going with a group to share and sample!) Decided on the PB Cheesecake Waffe - YUM! The waffle itself was fluffy & delicious. A perfect combo of PB and chocolate toppings. I did spoon off some of the PB cheesecake topping as there is ALOT and I didn't need it in every bite. You won't regret trying this place!
I will absolutely come back to Waffles INCaffeinated next time I'm in Pittsburgh! I got the chicken and waffles- it was hands down the best I've ever had The chicken tenders were just that, tender and not too much breading. I could tell they were hand breaded and fresh. The waffle was light and fluffy, and soaked up the delicious maple syrup perfectly. I appreciated the lightness of the syrup, as it doesn't have corn syrup in it. The pecans were the perfect touch, and what brought it to the next level for me. Our server, Loraleigh was the best! She welcomed us in with a smile and offered excellent service. Very attentive and kind throughout our visit. You're in good hands with her. 10/10
Leggo my Eggo? No. Leggo the Eggo and get a REAL waffle from Waffles INCaffeinated! I met a new friend for a casual Sunday brunch and even though it was poppin inside we were sat right away - twice even, as we were both sat independently of each other! When we finally paired up, there was too much good stuff to choose from so I went with the Waffle Frolic. One quarter had chocolate and berries, and one had like a peach cream cheese frosting. Pretty dang epic. But wait, it gets better. Every had a savory waffle? One quarter was covered in a damn fine version of sausage gravy, and one had bacon, cheese, and green onions both inside AND on top! My friend had the classic Chicken & Waffles, which was made with boneless chicken tenders - bonus points for that. The "caffeinated" part of their name was excellently represented by their signature latte: hazelnut, vanilla, and - a favorite of mine - maple mix with espresso and milk, complimenting both the sweet AND the savory parts of my dish. The service was friendly and prompt, even though it was a little busy. It's my first 5-star review in the Pitt, and I will definitely be back to try their crepes!
I am VERY disappointed in how this place runs! First, let me start off with the good. Our female waitress was very genuine and attentive. The food was amazingly tasty. I ordered half a waffle with Nutella & banana, it was just the right amount of drizzle. Now let's get into the bad... I noticed a white male behind the kitchen, which I believe appears to be head honcho being EXTREMELY rude to his chefs & staff. Mind you, everyone in this restaurant can see & hear what is going on through the big kitchen opening. I couldn't enjoy my food while being triggered on how this man was treating the staff. Our waitress along with another female waitress were running around rushing orders while this man was yelling "order ready". Look sir, if you see these poor women behind & want this business to run smoothly then why don't YOU step up & help out by delivering those plates yourself. I couldn't help but feel heartsick & concerned for these workers.
The ambiance of this place has so much potential. Super bright, attention-seeking orange walls, great graphics on the wall, good music playing. It's a welcoming location indeed. Our server, Amber, was the sweetest also! Super attentive, always asking my table if were okay and if we liked the food and/or needed anything. Which of course, is always appreciated. Outside of that, the food... was okay. I ordered the waffle with gravy. My boyfriend ordered another one (I'll add the name if he reminds me), and I wish the chefs left my waffle on the maker longer. Like was it good? Yes, but because you're putting heavvvvyyyy gravy on top of my waffle, I think they should have been kept in the maker for the full (estimated) 5-minutes, to give the customer more time to enjoy it without it getting soggy. I felt the same for both my and my boyfriend's food. If it isn't eaten in the first 20-minutes, it just all becomes one big mush. MAYBE this was due to us arriving under the last-hour of the location being closed on a Saturday, but... upon visiting Pittsburgh the entire weekend, we only went once. If that says anything. : )
Amazing! Everything went well. I highly recommend the strawnana cheesecake waffle. Also, the BC breakfast is a great choice. Chase G was a great server, really on point. He was very attentive and checked up on use often to ensure we were pleased with the food and service.
Waffles Incafeeinated was one of the pleasures so far on my trip to Pittsburgh. A nice cozy place serving large portions of what else - waffles and other tasty breakfast items. Waffles are made in an infinite variety and are soft and succulent. The syrup is not too sweet but savory, with a hint smokiness. I did not indulge in the Waffles, but they serve a wide variety of other breakfast staples, including omelets ,home fries, and other items. The breakfast combo was a hearty 3 eggs, a large amount of potatoes, and delicious well made bacon. My friend had link sausages with her order that had a savory taste with a hint of maple infused within. The service was great, and we were well taken care of, even though they were swamped due to the furry convention (yes! ) occurring that weekend. It is a great place, and we'll stop by again for breakfast while we're here, as it is one of the best places in the downtown area.
Went here for breakfast. The place was small yet clean. The server was very nice and attentive. I thought the food was just ok!

Great service and delicious food!!! The country Benedict was amazing!!!! The chicken and gravy are individually and collectively a whole MEAL by themselves. Lol. Don't skip this! Perfect for breakfast or brunch if you're staying downtown. Less than 7 min walk from the Omni William Penn Hotel. read more

Excellent breakfast spot!! So unique in the old Kauffman building!! Cannot wait for this to be a staple breakfast location to the revitalization of that area in downtown. Same great quality as their other locations, with some new menu options, like the gumbo waffle and flight of waffles!! Can be a little more expensive for breakfast, but the portions are good sized and the food is delicious!! Really good service and quality!! read more

I really wanted to like this place. It's a new place in the city. When you walk in the place, it doesn't appear that they have moved in completely. Even though the place has been opened for over a month. We decided to go here to try something different out. Everything is about the Waffle, and that's a great idea. But maybe provide a better-made waffle, and chicken to go with it. The waffles easily could have been from Sam's Club, along with Tyson's chicken. The service was friendly, and good at her job. But she mentioned that the syrup they had two different bottles. One in which was bourben syrup, and the other was regular. Well the syrup came out like it was water. I've never seen any type of syrup come out so thin before. I had the chicken and waffles. The waitress said I would love this place the best. But I didn't. It had zero taste to it. If it wasn't for the pecans, it would have been like eating air. I will not go back. read more

The place was really cute and the food was great, the only thing was I waited over an hour for food. They seemed unorganized. Other than that, it was nice. read more
We got the Fosters waffle and French Toast. Wasn't sure that the French Toast was going to taste like bread even tho it looks like a waffle. Taste is good. Would suggest adding a topping to it to give yourself more variety unless you're a traditionalist. Servers are pretty attentive even though they appear to be a little under-staffed. Jack, our server was great! Shout out to the hostess (Maddie) that was running around a lot taking names and cleaning off the tables!!! Would have given it four stars if the wait for the food wasn't as long as it took (30 mins). FYI we got to place at 10:05am and got seated around 10:33am and they said it would be a 20 minute wait to be seated. Would recommend visiting!!! read more

Recently attended a yelp elite event here. I was surprised to find out that they have a pretty extensive menu, and beyond breakfast waffles they have inventive "brinner" (breakfast-dinner) waffle creations. Our servers were quick, and exceptionally friendly they really wanted us to have a good time. My Yelp friends and I really enjoyed our experience and everyone seemed to love the food. I really enjoyed the sampler waffle plate- getting to try a bit of everything. Having both savory and sweet combination is genius. The waffles are really fluffy and flavorful here. For my own meal, I was really undecided between sweet and savory, so it was great that they had options for satisfying both cravings! The chicken and waffles came with 4 crispy fried chicken tenders with a pecan waffle with lots of candied pecans and savory green onions on top. I was surprised at how delicious it was. The chicken was so juicy and the breading was both sweet and peppery. Fun additional that they have 3 different flavors of syrup: Traditional Maple, Vanilla and Bourbon. Maybe a label on the bottle would encourage guests to try them? Hopefully they will spruce up the space a bit. When I visited the space was obviously still under construction and needed finishing (although I learned that they had been open for a few months?!). The orange walls as is are overpowering. Hopefully soft layered décor elements will be brought in to break it up, to offer a more inviting atmosphere. read more

I came here for breakfast with my parents one Saturday- late morning. We were quickly greeted and seated. The place was not busy so we didn't have to wait (unlike the Southside location). Our waiter was very kind and explained the specials and menu highlights to us. Once we ordered, our food came out quickly and everything was hot and fresh. This place continues to be one of my fave breakfast spots! Again, the added bonus was being able to walk right in and be seated without a reservation at this downtown location! read more

This was a wonderful surprise. My husband and I are in Pittsburgh for a few days. I had noticed this location during my walking tours of the city and today we stopped in for breakfast. The staff was welcoming and informative about the menu and the special of the day. We both ordered the Breakfast Magic waffle with bacon, cheddar cheese shreds, green onions and sour cream. When the waffles arrived, we were offered three syrups: regular, vanilla and bourbon. We tried the vanilla and the bourbon: both were delicious! I am only sorry we waited to try this restaurant on our last day downtown. read more

I selected this breakfast/brunch restaurant because of their gluten free offering. There was an hour plus wait at 11:45am on a Monday, so I decided to take my food to go. I ordered the Megaberry waffle gluten free. Overall it wasn't a bad waffle, and absolutely fine if I were in the pinch. But the waffle had a rubbery/gummy texture that I didn't appreciate. Out of fairness, this could be because by the time I picked it up, it was room temperature and not hot. Other than this, the taste of the waffle was good. The fresh berries were a welcomed addition. read more

This place is a must!!! They boast that they don't use microwaves and the flavor profiles show. I couldn't decide what to order so I got a little bit of everything. The waffles come in so many varieties but they are crisp and light. I don't care what you order but it has to include the home fries. They are fantastic and I could have eaten just that with an over easy egg on top. This place was so good I'm going back tomorrow read more
This spot is such a yummy place for breakfast. I had the frolic waffles, which is a sampler of two savory and two sweet! The waffles were so flavorful and tasty. The service was great, despite it being very crowded. My recommendation is to go as soon as it opens to avoid the rush. Even if you have to wait, it is definitely worth it. read more

Delish. I had the veggie omelet and my fiancé had the breakfast tacos. We split the berry waffle. Everything was good. A lot of food! So go hungry. Staff was very nice. We were waiting on the rest of our party and they let us sit at the table and order coffee and wait there til they showed up. Clean, good food, nice staff. What more could you ask for? read more

Our first time to Pittsburgh and first time to Waffles ncaffinated. We ate there on a Sunday morning after Thanksgiving. We were greeted by a friendly hostess who seated us immediately. Our server, Jack, greeted us just as promptly for our drink order. His attention to us continued at perfect intervals during our meal. Forward the end of our meal my husband ordered decaf coffee. Jack took his order, went to the back, then came back to explain they don't get many requests for decaf and they like to brew their coffee fresh, and it will be about a 3 minute wait. We very much appreciated his communication and explanation! The kitchen window is open to the dining area. I was able to watch and hear the four gentleman in the kitchen cooking and preparing food. The lead cook was very polite and respectful to the other cooks. He used please and thank you. He was never frazzled or loud. The restaurant filled up quickly after our arrival and several orders were put in at the same time. My husband ordered waffles with sausage and gravy. The gravy had a sage flavor that was unexpected and delicious. I ordered waffles and chicken. The chicken was delicious, but the waffle had a bitter flavor probably from the pecans in the waffle and atop the waffle. One son ordered the Breakfast magic waffle with bacon, egg, cheese and a side of home fries. Our youngest son ordered The Carnivore Omlette- three different meats and cheese. Also accompanied by a side of "home fries". OH, for the LOVE of home fries! These home fries were amazing! They used purple potatoes, sweet potatoes, and a white potato that has a bit of purple in it, onion and green pepper. Each was chunked in perfect bite size, flavored with salt and pepper and other seasonings. Each meal was served on large heavy square or rectangular plates. They were garnished decoratively and pleasing to the eye. The restaurant decor was the perfect shade of orange, not too bright! It was accented simply with black and stainless steel. A few simple breakfast photos hung on the wall above the kitchen pass through. The refreshing simplicity of the decor we were pleasantly surprised by how beautiful the food presentation was. Well done! read more

Extremely busy on the weekend. Expect 30-60 minute waits. Plenty of staff, excellent food, prices are a tad high. We loved it, but choices are very limited in the downtown area on a weekend. Heavy construction was going on as well. read more

Oh my goodness! So many gluten-free/vegetarian/vegan options here. If you have any sort of food issue, breakfast food is sort of a special rare treat. I was really excited to get a waffle. I custom made mine with spinach, goat cheese, and Craisins. It was overwhelmingly delicious and I wish I could eat it every day. I also had a fancy chai drink that was very good too. read more
