Banana's Foster Waffles - 5 stars - This waffle was topped with bananas and sweet syrup. Yinzer Omelet - 4 stars - This egg omelette contained American cheese, onion, chunks of pierogies, and my choice of meat of kielbasa. I prefer my pierogies and kielbasa separate from an omelette, but I appreciated trying this menu item. Egg-bacon-cheese bagel sandwich - 4 stars - For this classic egg-bacon-cheese sandwich, I chose a bagel bun for an upcharge. My husband usually loves this sandwich elsewhere but said that he did not like it here. I thought that it tasted good. I appreciated the generous amount of crispy bacon. Spot is very cute and has tons of hilarious and eclectic things all over the walls. Service was very kind and very quick as well. Two things more to keep in mind if you're considering going. - Space is SMALL. It's great, but it's small. So on a whim, might get lucky but realistically, any usual breakfast timing on a weekend, expect a wait but hopefully you're seated right away. - Also, cash only. Cash only and when we did the math on our what our meals said on the menu to how they were added up on the receipt, it was not one to one, either tax and/or they tipped themselves. Went up Duquesne Incline, great view but no real town. Drove to Eggs & Moore where the Monongahela incline is - so got to check out both. Restaurant cozy, friendly ambiance. I brought my youngest brother and his wife for breakfast on a summer Sunday morning after riding the incline up from Station Square. We were afraid there would be a wait, but we found a table as soon as we walked in, were served immediately, and got our food quickly. The coffee is good and limitless. I had a glass of orange juice. They went savory with various combinations of eggs and meat; the home fries were just okay, but toast is still superfluous. The place is cramped. I knew that; we used to come here when it was Micro Diner (which we liked a lot). The decor is Americana-wooden-sign trash - a mix of "eff you" meets Jesus core. I came for breakfast, I don't need religious inspiration and I don't need to be told in writing that they have contempt for customers. The humor isn't cute; it's stupid. It was frigidly cold in there. A small, no frills breakfast sandwich served with nothing else is $10+. They use the ethnic slur "dego" on the menu. This has quickly become one of our favorite weekend breakfast spots. Everything we've had is delicious, but the cinnamon roll pancake is amazing. We typically each get some kind of eggs for breakfast and then share a cinnamon roll pancake. They can get pretty busy on the weekends. If the tables are full you can usually find a spot at the counter. Also, they are cash only. But, there is a PNC ATM right across the street. read more

There is limited space/seating in the restaurant, so there is usually a little wait for a table...But there is a bakery next door that we got a pre-breakfast snack at. Our party of 4 was probably in and out in a little over an hour despite the wait and busy time. We loved all the decor and funny signs/menu. We loved the family dynamics and staff was great. Stopped in for the first time after watching a bit of the marathon, expected it to be busy and it was. Luckily, we were able to sit right away at the bar. I seemed to have sat right under a vent that was blowing nonstop. I was fine but keep that in mind. Decor is your typical family owned diner decorations. Nothing special but fits the part. Our server was very nice and our waters and coffee were constantly being filled. Food was good, could use some more seasoning but the portion was huge! It did take a bit for it to come out, there's only one cook on the grill. It did suck to have my friends come out 5-10 minutes before mine. Have I had better diner food? Kind of a Mom and Pop type place and pretty small. Total seating inside for maybe 20. We went for Brunch on a Sunday late morning with 7 people and waited for 15 minutes for a table. They do not take reservations. Food is very reasonably priced and pretty good but not great. Thus the 4 stars. Our morning plans were to take the incline and find breakfast. So happy we found Eggs and Moore! Coming from the Rocky Mountain states, the area reminded me of some of our little mountain towns, as did this little gem. We were a party of 8 that they were able to quickly accommodate. There were only two waitstaff working and they were very efficient with seating people, taking and bringing out hot orders. Our coffee cups were never lacking. We had a combination of biscuits and gravy, steak and eggs, French toast, FT casserole, and basic eggs, bacon, and toast plates. Everything was amazing. My eggs were overdone but it did not take away from the biscuits and gravy....at all! Some people negatively commented on the "cheap wooden sayings" on the walls. My family and I loved reading them, pointing out our favorites, laughing about them and bringing up stories of our own. We loved it!! Wish I could recommend this place, I truly admire the small independently owned places as opposed to the corporate chains. However, it felt cramped and uncomfortably cold. Our waitress was fine and friendly but I made a mistake of engaging in conversation with another employee who then talked my ear off. The decor is an overwhelming, overstimulating, hodgepodge of stuff. The food: I requested home fries with my omelette and was given hash browns instead. The omelette and hash browns were cooked in a ton of oil/butter, quite greasy. My son said his breakfast sandwich was fine, it looked a little lonely without any sides and I seem to recall other reviews specifically stating that these things were served with unexpectedly large salads. This dinner location and the cheap rip off signs in the interior was a plus, but that is all I would recommend. I ate here recently and was stunned with my experience from the staff, who is owned by three adult sisters. Two of which are on the front lines of your dinning experience. The food was the same as any dinner, nothing to rave about just same ole dinner food. The staff was like watching a reality television trailer trash show. The waitress served us coffee twice, once while on her cell phone and once in the middle of conversation with the cook, which they were using a wide range of profanity. The staff was airing their unstable family drama while cooking breakfast for tables. I thought they were gonna fight it out right in front of morning patrons. It's pretty obvious, this family should not work together. I also observed staff handling cell phones and cash money and then immediately handing food. Gross. I went here this morning again with my parents and there was already a line out the door. This place is a two minute walk from my house and I thought it would be nice to go to breakfast with my parents before they go on vacation since I had to work again tonight we decided on something close to my house.
