Yes!! Best breakfast spot on the strip district! The owners are so kind. They remember you and really care about a good experience. It's lots of food, might even have some to take home. The art in the store is super cool can't stop looking around. Each time i go i explore something new on the wall. My favorite spot to take out of town visitors to when making a trip to the strip district!

Went here for brunch with some friends on a Saturday and were able to get seated right away! We all enjoyed our food & it was reasonably priced for the quality provided! I got the arugula chicken sandwich and it was fantastic - it had goat cheese on it and all the flavors together were fantastic. Additionally, their fries are remarkably similar to McDonald's fries -- SO GOOD! Will definitely be coming back 10/10

absolutely love this place. Got the chevre omelette and a mushroom crepe. Literally the best omelette I've ever had in my life that goat cheese and everything was so fresh and fluffy. Service here does kind of suck but the food is amazing and the vibe inside is cute so it's worth it.

What a fantastic cafe in the strip!! I have the avocado toast, which was amazing . I love the inside of the café & the decor.

Lordy, they need air conditioning! However, the food was delicious. The smell of Turkish coffee was permeating. The cafe has beautiful colors and tile. The umbrellas hanging from the ceiling were nice. The host sat us at 2:30p.m. Our server's first words were that they closed in thirty minutes so we needed to make quick selection. I didn't like that tone or expression. You either open until 3p.m. or you are not open until 3p.m. We felt pressured to hurry. My daughter's eggs came out wrong and had to be sent back. Her sprite didn't arrive until she asked for it a second time. Our server did bring out a fruit plate for us because of the egg mistake. Water is placed on the table but it is warm with no ice. The ambiance was terrific. The bathrooms were clean. We are going to go back again. I hope the people experience is a little better.

Do we need one more breakfast place in the Strip? Definitely yes, if they can dish out delicious crepes, omelettes and sandwiches like Cafe Mona. I'm a fan of the Bloomfield location, so I was delighted to find the same great food and wonderful service. This is a great place to go for conversation and good food. The music was all Latin, very charming, and the staff and customers didn't mind that we danced to one number before we said goodbye.

An excellent spot for some food...made me glad there were lines at Pamela's and DeLuca's. Seated quickly - no wait on a Saturday morning! Nice place inside. Had a delicious latte. I ordered a breakfast crepe with banana, Nutella and whipped creme...it was quite yummy, but not served warm...which is okay. My son had a chipotle chicken sandwich with avocado, and he enjoy that along with the salad side. (we were amused that the nacho chips that came with it were Doritos). Very good food, good service...all was well!

It was great to see David again who's review inspired me to check out this place for lunch while I was attending another Yelp event. The cafe is small but has eclectic display of various artwork and license plates all around. I even found a painting of Minnie Mouse in the ladies room. You can dine either inside or outside. You can also order online for pickup. The place is not air conditioned but with the front wide open could cope with the hot conditions. I was more in the mood for lunch and decided to try out their hamburger with trimmings and a side of french fries. Service is a bit on the slow side which I would imagine may have to do with limited staff. Nevertheless when I did see them everyone made sure my needs were taken care of. I finally got my burger and fries and I really liked the bun it came on. Was more like a pretzel style bun but otherwise very good and the fries were just right-not greasy. I was only a tiny bit disappointed in my ice tea because it looked and tasted like it was watered down. Prices here are very reasonable for lunch and their crepes look like something I definitely want to order should I find my way back to this area again. Located next to DeLuca's diner in the Strip district parking can be problematic but there are pay lots available. Publc transportation is also available.

I love the creative menu and the decor. It's cozy and the food does not disappoint. The flavors all mesh so well even though you look at the menu and wonder how! Highly recommend!

The Speckled Egg provided the upscale and elevated breakfast, that was a nice contrast to the rustic and local breakfast we had the next day. Our waitress was friendly and professional. After some deliberation, I went with a bowl that included eggs, chicken sausage, sweet potatoes and a nice garnish of dill. The dill surprisingly elevated the whole dish. My wife enjoyed an omelette. Coffee was also quite good! Nice start to a day of sightseeing! (The restaurant staff gave great advice about the nearby tourist attractions)

He was courteous, well spoken and friendly. We sat there for about 10-12 minutes. No one approached the table. We looked over to what appeared to be a bar area and we saw two servers standing there talking and showing each other their phones. My wife said, "With our luck, one of those two is our server." Sure enough, when they were finally done talking, one came over to our table....no smile and a big audible sigh. She asked what we wanted to drink, we gave our order and she returned with our beverages. After another 10 minute wait she came back to take our order. When asked about a certain dish, came another big sigh, eye roll and and a rote description of said dish. The food arrived and one of the orders was wrong. Another wait to get her attention. We asked for the item to be redone as we had ordered it. And she even asked how we wanted it! You got it...another eye roll and a big sigh. At least she was well oxygenated! The dish came back with the very same results. On that issue we gave up. Then came the wait for the check. Once again the two servers were chatting, no heads turned to check on their tables. My son went over to get the check. When the check arrived, it was attitude city. She accused us of picking on her because she was only a server. It's obviously how she saw herself. We then asked for the manager who was quick to side with the server. She said that nothing seemed to satisfy us and that we had a problem. IN SHARP CONTRAST. I have been to the Speckled Egg on the South Side many times. From the Host/Hostess to the servers to the bus staff, everyone had a smile, chatted with their customers, laughed and it was always a great experience. The manager came over since he recognized me from being there many times and we chatted for a minute. We are talking Night and Day. Completely two different experiences from server to management styles. To me there is only one Speckled Egg and one complete waste of time (Downtown).

The cool vibe restaurant is tucked away up a short flight of stairs on Filbert Street. It gives the place a cozy, hideaway feel with brick walls and murals. It's pretty popular, so you might have to wait a few minutes for a table, but it moves pretty quick. The menu focuses heavily on crepes and French toast, and they do both very well. I went for a savory crepe that was loaded with eggs and topped with a rich sauce and diced vegetables. It came with a side of fresh fruit which was a nice touch. We also ordered a sweet crepe to share. It was beautifully presented with chocolate drizzle, berry sauce, and a massive pile of whipped cream. The coffee is solid too. Verdict: This is a consistent and reliable brunch spot. It was the perfect way to kick off my trip. I will definitely be back next time I am in town.

But the star of the show for me is the Shakshouka. I have gotten it the last 2 times I went. You also have to try their Dirty Chai. My only critique is the hostess at the front. She appeared overwhelmed by her role and was not warm. We were actually told by the waiters that "she is serious about her list". Which would be great if she managed it effectively. When I brought concerns that we had been pushed down the list 3 times for other parties. She responded "well, how do you know that" to which I responded "we watched you take their names down after ours and sit them before us". Her response was to shoo me off and tell me to go find a table myself; to which I did. But what a poor way to manage your stress, responsibility, and consumers. On the bright side my waiter/waitress was awesome per usual.
