It was a very hot morning when we went to try this place. No air conditioning in the building. The food was okay. Nothing crazy. The sauce that came on the French toast was overly sweet and the bread was pretty soggy. I also ordered a latte which was pricey for the size you get and the quality of taste. You place your order at the register and They bring the food to you. The place definitely is small hence the name so spots are limited!

This is a cute little neighborhood cafe on Pittsburgh's south side. There are only 8 tables and you order at the counter. We came at noon on a Sunday and didn't have a problem getting a table. The menu has classic breakfast and lunch items--omelets, salads, burgers. The salads were very fresh, large, had French fries on them (pittsburgh classic!), and very good rib eye on one and grilled chicken on the other. We also got a burger and the rib eye sandwich (like a Philly cheese steak, but better!) And the French fries were very good! They also serve tea and coffee and a small handful of pastries, and had many to go orders going out the door. I'm a hot chocolate fan and they serve "gourmet hot chocolate". I was skeptical, but it was one of the best hot chocolates I've had! Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun breakfast/lunch spot!

On a scale of romances to documentaries, La Petit Cafe & Grille is a small-town love story such as Of Literature & Lattes by Katherine Reay. This scenic shop offers a great menu, wonderful service, and a lovely space to chat and eat. While they didn't have a few items available, they were able to offer substitutes for the meal. I took my Chocolate croissant and iced chai to go, but I hope to return soon to dine-in! Paid parking is available on East Carson, but you may be able to find a free spot on a back street.

Great little cafe in southside! I like the vibes and atmosphere inside. The staff was very nice. And the food/coffee was quite good! They serve breakfast all day long. I've caprese breakfast sandwich (normal caprese with eggs) and was quite impressed! Nice place to grab some coffee and a little lunch and not too pricey at all. Definitely will be returning to try some different things on the menu.

Quaint little cafe on the Southside. Tasty fresh prepared food with nice options like turkey bacon and sausage. Serving great La Prima coffee drinks also. Very pleasant staff.

We went there for breakfast over the weekend. We had to wait for the table a little bit but it was not a long wait. Foods came out pretty quick. Both of the foods we ordered were good. The portion and price were fair. I deducted one star because the staff didn't tell us that it would be $0.5 extra for each ketchup and jams. We were surprised when we see it on the receipt. Note: limited street parking

Le Petit is one of my favorite breakfast spots in the city! One major reason: there is never a long wait (if any). As a bonus, they serve La Prima coffee and make delicious oat-milk mochas! I love their sweet and savory breakfast options. On the sweet side, they have delicious gourmet pancakes with vanilla bean cream. On the savory side, they have amazing omelets and veggie hash. I also really enjoy their lunch options. My favorite is the shrimp sandwich! They only reason I didn't give Le Petit 5-stars is that service can be iffy. Never slow, but certain employees act like they hate their life and aren't very friendly.

This was my first visit to Le petit! We came to grab brunch and coffee. We ordered the mocha (with house made chocolate) and a vanilla cappuccino with soy milk. Both were excellent! Then we ordered two breakfast sandwiches: the caprese and spinach feta. Again both were very good breakfast sandwiches. Our favorite was the spinach feta--great flavor and really big sandwich! Cute atmosphere and great experience! Can't wait to come back! Highly recommend

This café is fantastic! Everything is so fresh, grilled and made-to-order. Vast menu including bakery items, breakfast all day, as well as a huge selection of sandwiches, burgers, kabobs, soups, salads, etc. Everything we've had has been fresh, delicious, and full of flavor. BreadWorks bread and La Prima coffee, truly using the freshest and finest ingredients around. Can't wait to continue coming back for more! Staff is always so warm and friendly, too.

What a pleasant surprise! I've driven and walked by a ton and I had always thought of checking it out. It's small and cozy with plenty of coffee as well as food options. A surprising amount of food options I would say - and very delicious options! The omelets were large and served with a side as well as a large slice of toast. It was a large portion at an extremely reasonable price. The service was excellent - as everyone is friendly. They also have chocolate and pastry options - and cupcakes. It would have been nice to see a few cupcakes or chocolates on display - that usually entices me to ordering that. I will definitely return to check out for lunch or dinner - and I'll definitely be back for coffee/breakfast! Recommend!!!! Especially if you're on your own or hanging out with a friend.

My new favorite cupcake spot! This little place is like a breath of fresh air. From the cupcakes to the decor, everything about this little stop is spot on. I have came here three times now and each time it keeps getting better! The cupcakes are always fresh. I love that they are moist, not overly dry and crumbly. The prices are also just right too! Cupcakes are 3.00 and coffee starts at 1.50. The workers are always super polite and ready to serve you. Can't wait to stop by again!

Stumbled upon this one Sunday morning and am so glad I did. The setting is absolutely adorable and the food is fantastic and reasonably priced. Everything is homemade. The portions are generous. It's become our new favorite stop.

He was courteous, well spoken and friendly. We sat there for about 10-12 minutes. No one approached the table. We looked over to what appeared to be a bar area and we saw two servers standing there talking and showing each other their phones. My wife said, "With our luck, one of those two is our server." Sure enough, when they were finally done talking, one came over to our table....no smile and a big audible sigh. She asked what we wanted to drink, we gave our order and she returned with our beverages. After another 10 minute wait she came back to take our order. When asked about a certain dish, came another big sigh, eye roll and and a rote description of said dish. The food arrived and one of the orders was wrong. Another wait to get her attention. We asked for the item to be redone as we had ordered it. And she even asked how we wanted it! You got it...another eye roll and a big sigh. At least she was well oxygenated! The dish came back with the very same results. On that issue we gave up. Then came the wait for the check. Once again the two servers were chatting, no heads turned to check on their tables. My son went over to get the check. When the check arrived, it was attitude city. She accused us of picking on her because she was only a server. It's obviously how she saw herself. We then asked for the manager who was quick to side with the server. She said that nothing seemed to satisfy us and that we had a problem. IN SHARP CONTRAST. I have been to the Speckled Egg on the South Side many times. From the Host/Hostess to the servers to the bus staff, everyone had a smile, chatted with their customers, laughed and it was always a great experience. The manager came over since he recognized me from being there many times and we chatted for a minute. We are talking Night and Day. Completely two different experiences from server to management styles. To me there is only one Speckled Egg and one complete waste of time (Downtown).
