We then decide to get a 3rd entry to split. We asked if it could be cut in the kitchen for us. A $2 charge? What? For splitting? Ya, I get it if people are there having a coffee and splitting something small, but we over ordered beyond that, and even had other sides. In between, our first visit to Cafe Moulin was a delightful experience, evocative of similar cafes in Paris. Our entrees were Barcelona French Toast and an "Alaska" crepe (smoked salmon on a crepe filled with creamed spinach). We dined outside on a cool sunny day, taking in the sidewalk ambiance, which we preferred to the din of the kitchen and diners' conversations inside. Service was attentive and pleasantly carried out. It was also a pleasant experience because there was sufficient parking in public lots nearby.

It was uncomfortable enough that I would have left , had my food not just arrived. The owner was around and seemed nice. This would have been a great experience were it not for the waitress being so unprofessional. If she'd apologized all would have been fine. Everyone has bad days or comes on too strong sometimes. The shakshouka was excellent though. I wish that I'd been more able to enjoy it, rather than leave feeling bad about myself.
