Met friends for breakfast and had a nice experience. You could only order at the counter rather than table service. Which I prefer to be waited on. I ordered the breakfast sandwich on sourdough bread. The bread was grilled rather than toasted. My husband had the Cali wrap with added sausage, and our friend ordered the special croissant breakfast sandwich with ham and egg. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Independant coffee shop close to home. All the food I have had there has been very good. Last visit I got a Cali breakfast wrap and a side of seasoned potatoes. Very good and price point is well within the market price range. The atmosphere is relaxing and eclectic. There is ample private parking, and the coffee menu is extensive. They also have assorted bakery items and offer vegetarian and vegan options. They also seem to host events for the community such as comedy and music events which I believe is all free. My experience was limited because I got coffee and a cookie. But this reeses cookie is one of the best cookies I have ever eaten in my life. I have to say Ruckus has really stepped up their game. This coffee shop also serves as a gallery, event space, etc. They have a large menu of coffee, tea, and smoothie drinks, so you are sure to find something for everyone. The service is always good too. They also have a great kitchen/food menu. My only (minor) complaint is that I wish there was more natural light or better lighting in the place. It feels kind of dark and drab, but that didn't stop my husband and I from being able to sit there and plan some stuff on my computer for awhile. We will definitely stop again! read more

What a great, spacious coffee shop! I ordered a really delicious iced vanilla latte with almond milk and the turkey pesto panini. Love that the panini came with a side included. The panini was amazing, the turkey was really fresh and had ample toppings. However I wouldn't really call it a panini, it was more of a sandwich with lightly toasted bread. Call it what you want, it was still delicious. The reasons I'm knocking a star is because the 10 vegetable soup I had ordered as my side dish was too salty to even eat (and I LOVE salt). Also, the cashier seemed quite unhappy that we came in 15 minutes before close - I totally understand but it was our first time there so we weren't aware of the hours & we were taking our food to go. Get up off your sleepy bum and get here. Now! I live literally 3 minutes from this place and somehow hadn't gone for the years it's been open. But I stopped in before a hair appointment in December and how wonderful is this place?! I got a pistachio cookie latte to go and it was everything I could have wanted. I can't wait to go back and try their drip coffee. Their seating area is big, and they have a big area in the back for events. The day I was there they were doing a meet and greet with Santa and Mrs. Claus! The service, I think, is what will keep me coming back. This place is absolutely delicious. Every item they prepared was amazing. As an added bonus the kind woman who took our order ended up being one of the head chefs, Mia! I have been here many times and have not put in a review yet. Nice hometown coffee shop feel. You can get any type of coffee style that you want. I prefer their cappuccino. They have half and half, milk, almond milk and almost anything that you would want they have. On top of the great coffee they have a really good menu for breakfast, brunch, and sweets. I like getting their Belgium waffle when I come here but my wife has gotten a lot of good veggie breakfast food here which is what we prefer. You can stop in for a coffee or sit in their relaxing chair tables and chill out for a little. They have music on certain days too on their events page but we have not tried it out yet. Anyways if you are looking for some good coffee and you haven't tried this place yet it's a must visit if you are in the area. Oh I forgot but they always have great service here too! Very solid spot for a snack or some coffee and a treat. Solid prices and a nice atmosphere. They have most of the classic coffee shop creations. I tried their hot cocoa, brownie, and chocolate chip cookie. Their desserts seem to be made in house. The brownie varieties vary from day to day, and this time, it was just a chocolate frosted one with sprinkles. The brownie had tons of pieces of chocolate in it, and the frosting was tasty as well. A tad dry, but still good. The chocolate chip cookie was only $1! What an amazing price and deal. It was very tasty as well, also having big chunks of chocolate in it. I'd definitely recommend. The hot cocoa was quite milky and honestly didn't have much flavor. I was hoping for a chocolatey flavor, but it wasn't there. Still, solid, and I'm sure the coffee is probably their specialty and likely better. All in all, I definitely enjoyed this place. Ruckus is the perfect little hidden spot to grab some brunch or meet with a friend. The turkey pesto panini is usually my go to! The coffee drinks are okay. I usually drink iced coffee and sometimes it can be a little bitter. The iced tea is always great! The staff is always accommodating and helpful. My husband and I have the coffee passport and this place was on the list. The place was packed when we walked in, so we knew it would be good. And there was a big room in the back where they were setting up for a bridal shower. I ordered a drink from the specials menu, the toffee nut shaken espresso and my husband had a regular espresso. Mine was delicious, and not overly sweet. For breakfast I also ordered a special, I had the ricotta toast with roasted grapes, arugula and balsamic glaze. What a welcoming and comfy cafe! This place reminds me of the friendly coffee place in my small hometown. The baristas don't know EVERYONE by name because there are so many regulars, but they always serve you with a smile. This place is very similar. Incredibly friendly staff. I immediately felt welcome. Plenty of seating areas inside, as well as some outside. They have live music on Sundays - so pull up a chair!! I haven't gotten to try their coffee yet, but I did try their blended tea. Flavorful and served with fresh fruit. And the straw is recycled plastic (a big bonus point for me). I HAD to try one of the baked goods in the display case. The brownies were calling my name as if to say PICK ME!! Brownies are my favorite sweet treat, so believe me when I say I try them more frequently than I should. This brownie was perfect on every level. Thick, rich, and gooey. The top had a crumbly crust and I could taste the bits of salt that helped balance the sweetness. Just perfect! I seriously can't wait to try more from this wonderful cafe. They have a decently sized menu and have breakfast, lunch/dinner offerings. Soups, salad, wraps, and even waffles! I love that they have some healthier options like oatmeal. You can even add in extras like fruit and nuts to customize it to your liking. The menu changes, so be on the lookout for new things to try. The owner was in the lounge area working and I got to speak with him briefly. I can tell this place really cares about community and bringing people together over delicious food and drinks. They are doing awesome things here supporting local artists and musicians. (Get in there to get your art on the walls!!!) He was even telling me about a murder mystery dinner coming up! I was finally able to encourage my husband to stop here with me today for breakfast. He does not drink coffee but they do have soft drinks which saved the day. My husband is a picky eater and wasn't happy that they didn't have sausage on the menu but he eats bacon just the same. We were waited on by the owner Chris who now knows me and given a table number as we waited for our food. My husband quickly noticed the artwork on the wall, with price tags as he's an artist in his free time as well, and was curious if patrons actually purchased these. Also when the line was taken care of, I noticed the owner Chris helping her staff, clearing off and cleaning tables. That's how you know an establishment is run well. I ordered the cali breakfast wrap and my husband got the egg, bacon and cheese breakfast panini. He also got a bottle of Diet Coke and I had the complimentary lemon water. He said the sandwich was delicious 9/10; only because he would have preferred sausage. My wrap was a 10/10. My husband said he wouldn't be opposed to returning at a later date to try more on the menu. read more

I stopped by here earlier today with my wife for our morning coffee. We were looking for a coffee place nearby that we hadn't yet tried whenever Ruckus Coffee showed up on our Yelp search. Since it was close by, we headed on over and were surprised by how full the parking lot was. It's located right on Babcock Boulevard and the inside of this shop ended up being quite large. There were a number of 2 and 4 tops inside and it had lights up, likely for Christmas, but maybe all the time too. Beyond that they also have a coffee bar area where you can place your order and they have food in addition to coffee. For our coffees on this morning I went with a large eggnog latte and then ordered a small joy latte for my wife. The joy latte was described as mocha, coconut and almond while the eggnog latte was described as eggnog and nutmeg. It took a little less than 5 minutes for the drinks to be ready and in that time the place got even busier! After I got back to my car I was able to try my latte and it was delicious. It was warm and really had that eggnog flavor to it. The nutmeg on top was a nice little touch too giving it some more flair and I only wish that I could taste the coffee a bit more. That's not to say I didn't like it as I did very much and I also understand that eggnog is a strong flavor and so the coffee was always going to be overshadowed somewhat. My wife also enjoyed her drink and thought it was flavorful without being too sweet. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Both my wife and I really enjoyed our lattes here and I would look to get some food next time as well as a latte without such a strong flavor so that I can taste the coffee some more. read more

Just had our family Christmas party there on the 30th. Everything was set up and ready for us. Didn't have to wait. We have some big eaters in our family and they were well satisfied. We went here for the first time today and were very disappointed. There was only one girl working the counter, and her focus seemed to be on rushing us through our order, despite no one else in line and us pointing out it was our first time there. No paper menu, instead just a jumbled list of food and drink items on an overhead screen in varying fonts and sizes. They were out of chai tea, which didn't help, just not a friendly cashier unfortunately, just in a rush. We ordered food and paid, the credit card device was also clunky and then did the 'forced tip' thing, which I initially didn't see, (it had me remove my card first), so that was awkward as the girl pointed it out, and I added a tip for service I hadn't received yet. Anyhow, next we waited 10 minutes for a lemonade, which came in a glass with a giant sticker, then another five minutes and the coffee was done, with yet another large sticker that we had to peel off, and we had to go back to the counter after she yelled out to us. Eventually the food showed up. Some burnt bacon and a wrap with no avocado. The waffle was fine as were the drinks, but overall the experience felt expensive and unfriendly. Additionally, we weren't sure if we were supposed to clean our own table, and the counter girl wouldn't look in our direction as we tried to ask, so we finally just left. It's a nice place, but the poor service, less than average food, and high prices mean we're not going back soon. read more

I've had the coffee here several times, but ordered lunch here for the first time today. Had a waffle sandwich, which I highly recommend and would order again. It's a tad difficult to pick up, so I ate it open face style. The waffle by itself is very good, with a slight sweetness to it. Eggs and cherry jam were excellent.
