One of the seating areas - includes two desks, two couches and coffee table and two high tops. There are three seating/meeting areas.

Ample seating in a cute and cozy coffee shop. The shop can get lousy - due to acoustics- not much can be done about that. Despite that I found it a comfortable working spot. I got a green machine smoothie and it was very good. Great value for the price.

I love the coffee here. I got the Lavendar honey latte. Highly recommend. Business is LGBTQ+ friendly and sells local business products. WiFi is available but space is somewhat limited. Street parking only

Gotta give some love to California Coffee Bar, kept on biking past this place for a little over a year and decided to stop in a few weeks ago. Absolutely top notch 5/5 local coffee shop. Fantastic service, super tasty coffee, and very comfortable interior. Even little desks in the back to work on! Great stuff.

I thought Cute little coffee shop in Bellevue But Came here with a social group(never been ) and was very upset with the girls behind the counter First one gave me hassle about my service dog Than another said we where to loud (many on the girls had kids) Not very good customer service On the up side there smoothies are good I had the "pink lady" and it was yummy

Located on California Avenue in Brighton Heights, just a short trip from the North Side, California Coffee Bar is the cutest little neighborhood shop. It's stocked with delicious bagels, sandwiches, smoothies, milkshakes, bowls, coffee, and other tasty drinks. The vibe is warm and welcoming, with a well-designed interior and plenty of tables if you want to dine in. You can walk in to order, place your order online for pickup, or even get delivery--super convenient! The staff is incredibly friendly and sweet, making the experience even better. I tried a Blueberry Coffee Cake latte from their seasonal menu, and it tasted exactly like a fresh blueberry coffee cake--so good! I also had an Asiago bagel with cream cheese, which was fresh and satisfying. And the Acai Power Bowl was a highlight: a blended purée of frozen acai juice, Greek yogurt, and banana, topped with granola, berries, and dark chocolate shavings. It was both delightful and healthy. You really can't go wrong here. Whether you're stopping in for a cozy coffee or grabbing a bite to go, California Coffee Bar is a neighborhood gem worth visiting.

California Coffee Bar was a great place for a work date with a colleague. We met in the morning for breakfast, worked until lunch, and then worked some more until close at 3 o'clock. We agreed the acai powerbowl was an uplifting way to begin the day, and my Chai tea latte tasted so comforting. We happened to both choose the turkey Asiago bagel sandwich, which has plenty of meat and a really delicious sauce. Afternoon snack was a small hot chocolate with whipped cream for me and more coffee for her. There's free wifi, tables and couches, and wall plugs, plus music and fun art on the walls. The staff were very friendly and can help you pick something off the extensive menu. Don't omit to check out the small gift shop behind the central kitchen island!

Stopped here on a Saturday morning before doing some shopping in McCandless. This place has a charming neighborhood feel with a well designed interior that includes plenty of tables if you're interested in getting some work done while enjoying your drink and pastries. I ordered a latte and a breakfast bagel, both of which were excellent. I especially appreciated the loft seating area which provides a nice view of the cafe area below. it is so interesting to watch the baristas perform their craft, whipping up a wide variety of drinks and snacks. Definitely recommend if you are in the area and looking for a solid independent coffee shop.

Visited California Coffee Bar for the first time and wow! This is one of the cutest local coffee & breakfast places. They had a great menu, fast & friendly service, and a ton of seating. Our food was delicious! I regret not trying one of their smoothies. We will certainly be returning to this hidden gem!

This is a great coffee shop. Food and drinks are very reasonably priced and the space is very large with ample room for larger groups. The staff is extremely friendly, also. I recommend the blueberry latte. The bagels could use some improvement here. But overall the food is a great bargain! They could scrap 1-2 of the front tables and establish formal space for standing in line to order and waiting for food to make the experience a little smoother. I was dodging folks left and right while waiting for my food.

So glad I found California Coffee Bar. It was so easy to get to and to park. I got a cold brew with oat milk-done perfectly! Got a turkey sandwich too. Really very tasty and unique! They have smoothies and food and such a comfortable atmosphere. I think I could take a nap there! The folks there are also very nice, patient and helpful. You must give it a try!

Stopped in here to grab a couple of breakfast sandwiches! The staff were very nice and they had a great system down. It was sort of busy in there but the staff were handling the rush effortlessly. Our sandwiches were also very good! This is a great little bar/breakfast bar in the northside! Will definitely be back to try some other menu items!

Found this place on a whim when I was searching for a place to grab some food and work on my laptop. I was pleasantly surprised by the back area seating area, which was a little more cozy and quiet than the front part. The baristas were friendly and warm, and the food was *amazing*. I got the green machine and the açaí powerbowl. The presentation was 100% as was the taste. Highly recommend!

BEST SMASHBURGER IN PITTSBURGH…read more It would be hard to convince me otherwise. As soon as you step into the unassuming, corner burger spot, you feel instantly teleported into a retro spot. It's a smash burger so if you're hungry, maybe get a double the onions that come with it are grilled, which was a nice surprise and the sauce they put on the burger was really good. The hotdog had a nice snap to it which I don't care either way, but I know some people are big on that the chili had no beans which is the only way to have it when it comes to a hotdog or french fries and it's made by the local restaurant up the street brothMonger. Everything is made fresh to order even the fries. And the chocolate milkshake was made with actual chocolate ice cream same with vanilla and strawberry. I'll definitely be back to try the onion rings because they looked delicious and served with ranch from a local spot.

The Speckled Egg provided the upscale and elevated breakfast, that was a nice contrast to the rustic and local breakfast we had the next day. Our waitress was friendly and professional. After some deliberation, I went with a bowl that included eggs, chicken sausage, sweet potatoes and a nice garnish of dill. The dill surprisingly elevated the whole dish. My wife enjoyed an omelette. He was courteous, well spoken and friendly. We sat there for about 10-12 minutes. No one approached the table. We looked over to what appeared to be a bar area and we saw two servers standing there talking and showing each other their phones. My wife said, "With our luck, one of those two is our server." Sure enough, when they were finally done talking, one came over to our table....no smile and a big audible sigh. She asked what we wanted to drink, we gave our order and she returned with our beverages. After another 10 minute wait she came back to take our order. When asked about a certain dish, came another big sigh, eye roll and and a rote description of said dish. The food arrived and one of the orders was wrong. Another wait to get her attention. We asked for the item to be redone as we had ordered it. And she even asked how we wanted it! You got it...another eye roll and a big sigh. At least she was well oxygenated! The dish came back with the very same results. On that issue we gave up. Then came the wait for the check. Once again the two servers were chatting, no heads turned to check on their tables. My son went over to get the check. When the check arrived, it was attitude city. She accused us of picking on her because she was only a server. It's obviously how she saw herself. We then asked for the manager who was quick to side with the server. She said that nothing seemed to satisfy us and that we had a problem. IN SHARP CONTRAST. I have been to the Speckled Egg on the South Side many times. From the Host/Hostess to the servers to the bus staff, everyone had a smile, chatted with their customers, laughed and it was always a great experience. The manager came over since he recognized me from being there many times and we chatted for a minute. We are talking Night and Day. Completely two different experiences from server to management styles. To me there is only one Speckled Egg and one complete waste of time (Downtown).

She appeared overwhelmed by her role and was not warm. We were actually told by the waiters that "she is serious about her list". Which would be great if she managed it effectively. When I brought concerns that we had been pushed down the list 3 times for other parties. She responded "well, how do you know that" to which I responded "we watched you take their names down after ours and sit them before us".
