Wunderbar is a local restaurant that serves savory and sweet crepes, sandwiches, wraps, salads, soups, and many beverages (e.g., coffees, teas, sodas, and smoothies). Gluten-free and vegetarian foods and decaf and sugar-free beverages are available. Customers may dine in or get takeout. My husband and I have been customers here twice. Both times the employees made very courteous conversation with us, and they promptly took our order and payment and brought over our foods and drinks. Here are my reviews for what we ate: Berries & Cream Crepe - 4 stars - This gluten-free crepe contained cream cheese, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, and whipped cream. It looked beautiful and tasted very good. Nutella & Fruit Crepe - 5 stars - This gluten-free crepe contained Nutella and slices of strawberries and bananas. I loved the flavors of the Nutella and fruits. Egg-Bacon-Cheese Breakfast Sandwich - 5 stars - My husband enjoys this sandwich so much that he ordered it during both visits. Turkey-Bacon-Swiss Wrap - 5 stars - This wrap contained a good amount of turkey, lettuce, and Swiss cheese, and I liked the raspberry-walnut dressing on the side. Raspberry-Passionfruit hot tea - 5 stars Chai Latte - 5 stars - This hot tea had the perfect balance of black tea, spices, honey, and milk. It is one of my favorite drinks anywhere. Handcrafted Soda - 4.5 stars - Seltzer sodas come in many different flavors, and we went with cherry, pomegranate, and apple. Mango Smoothie - 5 stars - Smoothies are available in a few flavors, and this mango one with whipped cream tasted excellent. read more

Their brewed coffee was a deep dark earthy elixir with woody notes. Sadly today their espresso machine was not working. They had a good humor about the situation and were apologetic. I ordered the ham , egg and cheese crepe. The attention to details shined. The touch of bechamel on top with the ham garnish hinted to the treasures hidden inside. Smoky rich and bountiful. My wife ordered the berries and cream crepe again dressed to entice the dinner . Sweet but very well balanced. read more

We just had breakfast. I ordered the muffuletta and my husband the el jefe. The service was very quick with bringing our sandwiches out. There was a small snafu with our cold brews but that was just a blip. Now back to the sandwich, there was probably a pound of meet on my sandwich and I couldn't finish it. I am not in the habit of passing up a crêpe when I see it on the menu, especially when I have heard very good things about a place's crepes. They had Nutella and banana, no less, which is my very favorite combination of crêpe. But in my first visit to Wunderbar, I passed up the crêpe for two reasons. First, there was a coconut iced coffee with whipped cream on the menu that I absolutely was not going to pass up, and that combination sounded like way too much sweetness in one sitting. And second, they had a grilled cheese with tomato soup. Actually, they had several varieties of grilled cheese from which you could choose, with either tomato soup or a salad. I had a feeling this was going to be a pretty good grilled cheese, and on an unseasonably chilly, rainy day in June, I was not going to pass up grilled cheese and tomato soup. You order at the counter, then find a seat. It's a relatively small space and tables are communal. I also took a peek out the back door as they had a sign indicating their patio was open, and it's down some stairs and opens to a sizable outdoor space. It would have been quite wet today though, so inside it was. Both my drinks and my food came up very quickly. The coconut coffee was absolutely heavenly. It was not overly sweet but just right. The whipped cream tasted housemade and was a decadent treat in itself. My grilled cheese was very tasty. I chose Havarti cheese . It's a modest size sandwich and cup of soup for $15 (for the Havarti option, cheddar is 13.50) but it is very filling and you can tell the ingredients are real quality. The tomato soup is also housemade and is DELICIOUS. Like, so delicious. I definitely do intend to try a crêpe here next time but it's going to be hard passing this up after giving it a try and knowing it's there on the menu. Really nice staff coming around to the tables to make sure you have everything you need and you are happy with your food. This is such a nice addition to this Bellevue neighborhood! Came back to this location this morning for breakfast. We both ordered cortados with almond milk to drink. Surprisingly not that busy for a Saturday morning, which was nice. I ordered a cubano breakfast sandwich, and my husband ordered the classic breakfast with 2 eggs, 4 slices of bacon, and sourdough toast. The cubano was amazing!! Thick slices of ham and roast pork loin, an egg, pickles, and a dijon aioli kind of mustard piled HIGH on a brioche bun. We sat outside on the patio and the weather was perfect. Full disclaimer: I love the addition of fruit to just about any dish. Fruit in salad? All for it. Pineapple on pizza? Yes please. Apple and cranberries in my Thanksgiving stuffing? No brainer. So I was excited to try Wunderbar's TBH sandwich: turkey, bacon,, havarti, lettuce, and tomato on a brioche roll...with sour cherry jam. The sour cherry jam is an absolute game changer. It elevates an otherwise above-average sandwich to memorable. My mom had the berry crepes - a favorite of hers, and the reason we chose this as our late Mothers Day lunch spot. She was not disappointed. I'm a fan. I love to support local business, and I definitely plan to return to Wunderbar soon. read more

I stopped by here earlier today with my wife and our twins for our morning coffee. Every Sunday morning we try to hit up a new local coffee shop and on this morning we decided to go to Wunderbar Coffee and Bistro. This specific Wunderbar was the new one in Bellevue and it's located right on Lincoln Avenue which has plenty of street parking. Since we had our twins with us, my wife ordered a strawberry and Nutella crepe ahead of time through their website to minimize our wait. Whenever we arrived it was fairly busy and during the time that we were there it continued to get busier. The inside of the shop looks like a cozy and lively space with local art and old-school black and white photographs on the walls, a merchandise shelf near the entrance, and an open view of the espresso bar where all the action happens. After looking over their menu I ended up going with their caramel brûlée latte while my wife chose an iced coconut latte. As we were paying, my wife mentioned her to-go order and it was promptly brought up. As I was watching them make our drinks I did see them take out the torch and brûlée the top of my drink. Within only a couple of minutes we had our drinks and were on our way. My coffee ended up tasting pretty good even if the caramel and sweet flavors dominated the actual coffee flavor. The brûlée definitely added a smoky, somewhat caramelized layer on top which I appreciated. My wife also really enjoyed her coffee here and liked her crepe as well. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. While I wish I could have tasted the coffee in my drink more, I still really enjoyed it and would love to taste one of their savory crepes. read more

The real winner is the fact that all of the crepes are gluten free! It is so refreshing to have gf breakfast options. Let me start by saying, the ambiance of this place was wonderful. I like the idea of community seating and the music being played was nice. For a Sunday at noon, it's wasn't boisterous at all. The staff are the best part of this place. I was beyond taken back by how kind everyone who worked there was. It didn't feel fake either. I can't tell you the last time I have been to a place that had worker who genuinely wanted to be there to create a positive experience for you. Plus, drinks and food came quickly. My problems came with the food. Disclaimer: who I came with ordered the berries and cream crepe and loved it. Compared to the beauty of her crepe, my kind of just looked like beige mush. I love mushroom crepes, but this one just fell flat. It didn't really taste like anything. Most bites didn't have a lot of filling. Additionally, it wasn't hot when it came out. Husband and I decided to go out for brunch one Sunday morning and saw this place listed on google. Little did we know, the place was only open for about a month so far! It's super cute and all of the service was super friendly. Tip: it's a little loud inside but I imagine it may slow down once it's not so "new". We are always looking for a late lunch on Sundays and were happy to see Wunderbar as an option in Bellevue. We scored street parking right across the street from the entrance. Cute interior! At 2pm, however, they were out of lettuce and a few other things, limiting our options. They were able to put some more tomato soup on, however, and it came out steaming! Our whole family loves coming here for either a Coffee or a Hot Chocolate and the Grilled Cheese sandwiches are amazing.

This was my second trip to Wunderbar and I loved both experiences. I tried a savory (caprese) crepe on my first visit and a sweet one (berries and cream) on my second visit. Both were delicious, but the berries and cream blew my mind. I think I found my "usual." Also got a first class Americano. Food comes quickly and it's a good place to hang out with a friend and a coffee when the brunch crowd things out. read more
