    Veggie omelette

Looking for a hometown, down-to-earth diner? Search no more. Established in 2021, this small, law enforcement/military-friendly restaurant serves breakfast and lunch (closed Monday/Tuesday). The breakfast menu is not very big and prices are a bit higher than what you'd expect for diner grub, but rest assured you're likely to get two meals out of whatever you order. I went with the veggie omelette, which was served with home fries, and I could only eat half of it. The omelette was essentially a plain egg omelette stuffed with veggies, which is different. I'm used to having diced veggies mixed into the eggs, but Dominic's does it differently and that's okay. My partner got the "Big Mike" breakfast sandwich and it was, as expected, big. We took half of it home. Overall, we had a good experience at Dominic's. Friendly staff and good food. Just note that there's limited parking out front.

I was in the area and decided to give a new place a shot. Dominic's is a small but cozy place. The decor is nice and has a good vibe. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. I had 2 eggs over easy and bacon and home fries. everything was cooked excellent and tasted great. The pricing was fine. I would definitely go again as everything was great.

A great local breakfast spot! They do get busy but worth the wait! Huge servings for breakfast. We had the big "D" breakfast and it was so much food! The sausage is very good. Great prices as well.

It was a rainy morning breakfast stop and once inside it felt like it was sunny out. All the staff is so nice and it feels like a big family. Everything seems super clean. The omelets are big. The food was good. The parking lot is a bit small but you can park along the street across the street. Can't wait to go back and try something else.

Popped in for a quick to-go sandwich as we waited for the pasta ladies to arrive at Pasta by (PS - epically good fresh dried pasta!) - and boy did this place deliver! Friendly staff at the counter took my order -- a BLT (u get a choice of side salad, fries, or home fries) -- and they took care to ask if I wanted no tomato on my salad since I'd asked for no "t" on my BLT. There's plenty of seating if you want to dine in. Basic diner decor - tho not kitschy. The sandwich came out quickly and ohhhh sooo good with super fresh bread from the aways fabulous Mancini's. The applewood smoked bacon was plentiful and the lettuce fresh. Really flavorful sandwich. The salad was a basic small salad - crispy cukes, slivered carrots, black olives (urg - those tasteless pizza ones - not kalamata - but, hey, it's a diner!) & red onion --- and I got their tangy homemade Italian dressing. Definitely will be back.

Ask the Community - Dominic's Diner

I planned to eat at Dominic's Diner this morning, but when I drove by a few times, I saw only a handful of parking spaces that were already full. Does the restaurant have additional parking spaces, and where are they?

No they don't have additional parking. You can try to turn right up the hill and park on the street.

DeLuca's is exactly what I'm looking for in a diner! Old school place, seating was comfortable, and our waitress made us feel right at home! I went with the Steel City and that included everything! Pancakes (which our lovely waitress added complimentary bananas to), hot sausage, bacon, home fries, eggs, and Italian bread toast. Everything was cooked perfectly! Hot sausage and eggs made a perfect sandwich on that bread! My wife had a delicious omelette. Such a wonderful send off from Pittsburgh!

Because most things are better with fries and cheddar cheese on top, logic indicates salad would be one of them. Fortunately, it is located in the vicinity of the strip district which one visiting Pittsburgh would likely visit at one point or another so the few block walk isn't a big ask. There is also parking! It's on the smaller side but we were able to grab a table about an hour before closing during the week. This does look like a place locals go but that is not something I can verify. I will say that it was on DDD which does provide some street cred as far as I am concerned. I already knew I was getting the salad. They have haluski as well which was also on my list of local foods to try so we were able to kill two birds with one stone. The salad was gigantic. It was probably about the size if not slightly smaller than the fucking massive serving bowl of salad my Mom used to put on the dinner table. The fries were delicious, loved the mound of shredded cheese, olives, cucumbers, all that good stuff was fresh and crisp. The greens were spring mix which I am not particularly fond of. It gets too wilty and it grosses me out so it definitely diminished my ability to enjoy the dish. I ate mostly the fries, some olives, and cucumbers. GF ate the haluski because it has some pork in it. She noted that it was 99% cabbage and almost no noodles which was a disappointment. Service was really good, shit came out quick and our server literally gave me a to go iced tea as we were getting the check it was fucking adorable.
