Loved our lunch at DiAnoia's. The ambiance is inviting as soon as you enter: an attractive bar, cool casual artsy decor that calls to mind a bright Italian cafe; and plenty of seating options. For lunch you order at the deli counter, and there are so many excellent options to choose from (particularly pasta and sandwiches). Portions are very generous, so two people could easily share one sandwich, one pasta dish (but we happily ordered a couple so that we could try different things). Highly recommend the Italian sub and the veal Parmesan sandwich! Service was friendly and easy. Wish I lived in Pittsburgh or I would go back all the time!

diAnoia's absolutely lived up to the hype! The restaurant was hopping, but the service was warm, attentive, and never missed a beat. The whipped ricotta with lemon and crostini was a perfect start, the butter bean salad with cucumber and tomato was unbelievably fresh and outstanding, and the Caprese panzanella was beautifully balanced with incredible seasonal flavor. You can taste the quality in every bite. We can't wait to come back!

Such a live restaurant! This place is always so busy and can be hard to get a reservation so if you plan to go do it early in advance! The staff were very polite! I tried the Gnocchi Sorrentina Bread Bowl and added the meatball! Lots of sauce and lots of cheese that's for sure! It was an interesting taste! I wipe say a bit overwhelming trying to figure out how to eat it! I would definitely go back here and would Probably want to try something different!

Nice Italian eatery serving cookies, sandwiches l, pasta and coffees during brunch and a sit down during dinner. The pasta was fresh and tasted good, the sandwich and cheesecake even better.

The food here is the real deal. Dishes that you would never think would taste amazing based on their simplicity were the STAR of the show! Pasta with simple ingredients like tomatoes & basil was a top favorite. Soup with beans and Italian sausage was great. Everyone left here stuffed. The tiramisu and steak was just alright, but the atmosphere with the decor and small feel was beyond perfect to make you feel like you were in a little place in Italy.

Heard this place had the best Italian in the city. It did not disappoint. My wife and I were seated on the second level, which I felt like removed us from the energetic and vibing atmosphere on the first level. But honestly, we didn't come for the atmosphere, we came for the food. The bread and oil was fresh. The gnocchis are huge giant pillows, but still go down light. The scampi was super flavorful. The tiramisu had great flavor. All the employees went out of their way to make sure we had an enjoyable experience. We will look forward to coming here again!

    The bridal shower

I held a bridal shower upstairs, and I have to say it was absolutely wonderful. I worked with Mollie, and everything was perfect, including the delicious food. Would HIGHLY recommend!!!

Friday dinner here while in town for the weekend. I had originally made a reservation for 10 just in case the baseball game ran over, but received a call that earlier times had opened up. We moved the reservation to 9 and came there shortly before. To start, we ordered the bread and whipped ricotta, as well as the brussel sprouts. The bread was massive and the whipped ricotta was a nice touch. The brussel sprouts were also good - served with a sweet glaze and thick cubed pork belly. For my entree I ordered the gnocchi and meatballs which was incredibly large. The gnocchi were the size of rectangular pillowed donut holes. They almost were the same size as the meatballs. The sauce was also nicely seasoned and had a good flavor. I also added a half size of the cacio e Pepe. Easily one of the top 5 places I have had this dish. The sauce was perfectly flavored with pepper, plenty of sauce so it didn't stick to the pasta and become just a clumped mess - and the right size. For dessert I ordered the berry brown butter pastry. This was a perfect size and packed great flavor. Multi-leveled but still bright while being rich. I liked this place - can be loud, but they also have outdoor seating. My only wish would be that you could order pizza from Davide which is attached to the back of this location.

Located near The Strip and only a half block from the bus stop. Lovely two story with dining areas on both levels. Beautifully decorated to look like you are eating in Italy. Friendly servers. Nice wine selection with very decent prices. They give you fresh bread and a small plate of olive oil with balsamic drizzle to dip the bread. That was delicious. Would have been five stars except my Stuffed Shells were served slightly warm ish. But they tasted good. Would have been fabulous if it was served hot and fresh. Their homemade meatballs are good but a little too dense. We ordered a glass of Super Tuscan and a glass of Cab Sav. The Cab Sav was delicious. Ended the meal with tiramisu for my birthday. I enjoyed every bite. We hear this place has good lunch. We will be back to try that menu. * 8 photos

This place is so cool looking and much bigger than I realized from the outside. We showed up early Saturday evening and they seated the four of us upstairs. It was so nice. Theres even a cute little balcony overlooking the downstairs and Im a sucker for theming. Our server was very helpful creating a vegan dish for my husband but alas the creamy mushroom sauce won him over. I tasted it. It was amazing! The kids menus came with crayons and a very nice create your own pasta for kids with seasonal veggies. The kids cookies looked huge and delicious too as an add on. The free bread service was nice but I think we saw the paid upgrade version and it looked amazing. So if we ever go with a bigger party we will definitely be doing that. It is a bit pricey so dinner there is definitely a nice treat and not a weekly thing for us My only note is that I wish there was a salad with the entree.

We came as a group of ten to celebrate Mother's Day for my wife, Mother-in-law, and Sister-in-law. There is both a downstairs and an upstairs as seating areas. The place has a clean Italian look. We started out with bread and oil, greens and beans, asparagus. For meals we all ordered some type of pasta. You can't miss on any of the pasta dishes. I along with others, had gnocchi. Others had spaghetti, shrimp scampi, and lasagna. The service was really good. Mila and her team did a great job taking care of us.

    Nat B.

The sandwiches were amazing. We ordered the Italiano and the Prosciutto, and both were heavily loaded with meats. The flavors were incredible. We were mostly quiet while eating because it was that good. I also loved their decaf iced latte. As for service, the cashier and food runners were friendly and brought our meals directly to the table. There are plenty of indoor tables, and the noise level is comfortable. This spot is in the Strip District, so parking can be tricky and hard to find. But we got lucky and found parking about a block away. The key is to come early, around the time when most people are still getting up.

When we pulled up to the hotel, we parked in an area that the front desk later confirmed was not valet parking and that we were fully permitted to use. Despite this, a man wearing a plain black shirt with no name tag, hotel logo, or other identification immediately approached us and aggressively demanded, "You need to give me your keys now." He never introduced himself, never identified himself as a hotel employee or valet attendant, and never welcomed us to the hotel. Instead, he immediately became confrontational. When I explained that I was not comfortable handing my vehicle keys to an unidentified stranger, he escalated the situation by repeatedly yelling, "Bro, bro, you're not going to disrespect me." We attempted to walk away and continue with check-in, but the harassment did not stop. After checking in, we returned outside to unload our luggage, and he immediately confronted us again. This time, he threatened that if I did not hand over my keys, "there would be consequences." No guest should ever be threatened simply for asking reasonable questions or wanting to verify the identity of someone requesting possession of their vehicle. The front desk staff later confirmed that we had parked in the correct location and acknowledged that this employee's behavior was inappropriate. While I appreciated their honesty, that did not change what had already occurred or the fact that the individual continued to work the front entrance. Unfortunately, the situation only worsened throughout the remainder of our stay. Every time we entered or exited the hotel, this valet employee continued making comments about my group to his coworkers. He would smirk, laugh, and make remarks within earshot of us, often in front of the front desk staff. Rather than feeling welcomed as paying guests, we felt uncomfortable and uneasy every time we walked through the lobby. The hostility that began upon our arrival never truly ended. As an IHG One Rewards Diamond Elite member who spends more than 200 nights each year almost exclusively at IHG properties, I have always chosen IHG because of the professionalism, hospitality, and consistency I have experienced across its brands. Unfortunately, this stay was unlike anything I have ever encountered. In all my years of traveling, I have never felt so disrespected, singled out, isolated, or unwelcome at a hotel. IHG promotes its hotels as places where every guest should feel safe, respected, and valued. That was not my experience at this property. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, I felt that our concerns were dismissed, and the behavior of this employee created an environment where we no longer felt comfortable. This was, without question, the worst hotel experience I have ever had. It has caused me to seriously reconsider my loyalty to IHG after spending hundreds of nights each year with the brand. I hope hotel management and IHG Corporate conduct a thorough investigation into this incident, address the conduct of the employee involved, and ensure that no future guest has to experience the same treatment we did.

He was courteous, well spoken and friendly. We sat there for about 10-12 minutes. No one approached the table. We looked over to what appeared to be a bar area and we saw two servers standing there talking and showing each other their phones. My wife said, "With our luck, one of those two is our server." Sure enough, when they were finally done talking, one came over to our table....no smile and a big audible sigh. She asked what we wanted to drink, we gave our order and she returned with our beverages. After another 10 minute wait she came back to take our order. When asked about a certain dish, came another big sigh, eye roll and and a rote description of said dish. The food arrived and one of the orders was wrong. Another wait to get her attention. We asked for the item to be redone as we had ordered it. And she even asked how we wanted it! You got it...another eye roll and a big sigh. At least she was well oxygenated! The dish came back with the very same results. On that issue we gave up. Then came the wait for the check. Once again the two servers were chatting, no heads turned to check on their tables. My son went over to get the check. When the check arrived, it was attitude city. She accused us of picking on her because she was only a server. It's obviously how she saw herself. We then asked for the manager who was quick to side with the server. She said that nothing seemed to satisfy us and that we had a problem. IN SHARP CONTRAST. I have been to the Speckled Egg on the South Side many times. From the Host/Hostess to the servers to the bus staff, everyone had a smile, chatted with their customers, laughed and it was always a great experience. The manager came over since he recognized me from being there many times and we chatted for a minute. We are talking Night and Day. Completely two different experiences from server to management styles. To me there is only one Speckled Egg and one complete waste of time (Downtown).

We stopped by this location of Pamela's and instantly, I felt like I was transported into a retro 50s/60s diner. The multi-colored walls are decorated heavily with old-school board games. There's a veil of grease in the air that screamed the classic diner experience. SAUSAGE & CHEESE OMELETTE + Lyonnaise potatoes (side) + whole wheat bread (toast) The sausage & cheese (we asked for Swiss instead of American) omelette itself wasn't anything worth raving about as it was pretty typical. However, the Lyonnaise potatoes were phenomenal. It's that in between "hash and mash" texture, and it was seasoned incredibly well. The potatoes were definitely the highlight here, and the omelette was good protein, I guess. Definitely forgot about the whole wheat bread. BLUEBERRY HOTCAKES Soft, crepe-like wrap (a bit thicker than crepe but thiner than pancake) wrapped around blueberries and whipped cream. This was not too sweet and quire savory. They're known for their hotcakes at Pamela's and I can see why. I don't remember the individual pricing for each, but both were under $25 total. Definitely great tasting food for a phenomenal price. I highly recommend!

Great service. Really on top of things opening for a busy morning…read more Pancakes were as advertised - tasty, super thin with crispy edges. They were the highlight of the day. Eggs and toast were good too, straightforward. Meals were served very quickly, which was a great way to start the day.

Cafe Moulin is without a doubt my absolute breakfast/brunch/lunch place in the area. The food is…read moreexcellent (their avocado toast w/ eggs is so good I practically lick the plate when I'm done) and the atmosphere immaculate (bright and friendly without being kitschy), but the real standout is the staff. I've been a regular there since I moved in nearby, and from the start it was obvious that the people who work there sincerely care about making the experience nice. I've always been greeted with a smile, even during hectic weekend hours when the whole place is packed with a line out the door-- and even on the most full-house days, I've never been made to feel rushed. More than that, I always get the same thing there (I'm just a creature of habit-- every bite I've ever stolen from a friend's plate has also been delectable). The staff have picked up on this and will offer to get me "my usual" when I visit; it makes me feel valued and noticed, and they'll often use the time I would've spent ordering making conversation, asking about my day or the book I'm reading. I've never been to a place with such genuinely friendly staff, and I feel so lucky to live so close! Summed up: I never leave Cafe Moulin without a full stomach and a smile.

I'm conflicted about this review…read more Came in alone and sat at counter. A waitress was really hostile and aggressive to me early on . It was uncomfortable enough that I would have left , had my food not just arrived. The owner was around and seemed nice. This would have been a great experience were it not for the waitress being so unprofessional. If she'd apologized all would have been fine. Everyone has bad days or comes on too strong sometimes. The shakshouka was excellent though. I wish that I'd been more able to enjoy it, rather than leave feeling bad about myself.
