Curbside on the Run is a really nice breakfast place that serves coffee, desserts and the best breakfast sandwiches in Pittsburgh. I flew in from Atlanta and my friend said I had to try it. They're closed on Sat/Sun so we went that Friday. The shop is quaint but cute. It's takeout only. We arrived at 11:50am. They cut off breakfast ordering around noon. So we got there in the nick of time. And a line of people came in after we did but they still honored their orders. We ordered the Speecy Spicy on a croissant. I got mine without greens. The desserts looked so good I also bought an enormous chocolate chip cookie and my friend got the Nutella cookie stuffed with raspberry. Our order was made pretty quickly. I opted to eat in the car because it smelled delicious and I couldn't wait til we got back. Opening the wrapper was like opening Christmas presents...the anticipation and excitement were at a 10. First bite, I melted. It was everything I needed. The croissant was buttery, flaky and soft. The folded egg was fluffy and the way the cheese melted in between the layers was heaven sent. The bam bam sauce took it up a notch but the bacon stole the show. I've never in my life had bacon that tasted that good. It's such a satisfying and filling sandwich that I only ate half and decided to save the rest for the next day which I might add was still tasty. Air fry it for 7-10 mins and then microwave for an additional 2 mins and it tasted like I just got it. I was in town for 5 days and had it my 2nd day and my 5th day as well. I was lucky that they decided to make breakfast on a Monday and I flew out that afternoon so we made a stop to get me 1 more for the road. This time I left the greens (spinach) on the sandwich and I still loved it. I will def come back to Pittsburg just for this breakfast and the desserts. The shop itself was cute and had loads of options inside, I hadn't come for a specific sandwich I may have been overwhelmed!! Lots of baked goods, drinks and more! The sandwich we got was the Speecy spicy with sausage on an asiago bagel and it was fantastic! The sandwich itself was HUGE, but perfect to save some for later. Are you freaking kidding me!?! Can someone please pinch me?!? Thank God I do not live closer to this place bc I would be broke and fat but I sure would be happy. As always, this is a staple for my first stop while home visiting. The parking was rough and I sure hope something gets figured out but if I have to drive around for 20 min until someone moves, I'll do it! Especially for what's inside. I picked up 2 cold brews for my bff, banana pudding for my pops and for me a cookie butter pudding (I think) for myself. To top it off I picked up a banana smores iced latte. So I think I underestimated this place. Underestimated how popular and trendy this place is. Underestimated the parking situation. Underestimated the size of the breakfast sandwiches. Underestimated how expensive two sandwiches and two drinks would be ($50 including tip). I can see why this little place people will drive for. The sandwiches were really good. The vampire slayer was actually my fav with that jam just fire. The drinks were mediocre. Nothing to brag about. I loved seeing their premade foods. Everything looked absolutely delicious. The employees were hopping because we must have came at a busy time. All in all, I could have split a sandwich with my wife and still be full. What a wonderful gem of a store tucked into a community!! They have so many wonderful options for when you are on the run and really created a wonderful... and delicious concept.. for customers who need something flavorful, yet quick for their day. Parking isn't the easiest, but honestly.. the limited parking helps keep the inside at the correct capacity for their fresh made options. I grabbed a Chocolate Chip cookie for my day.. who could resist a towering stack of these baseball sized delights. But I am excited to see all the soups and sandwiches options that I could grab too. The inside is whimsically decorated and the food shelves even help create the atmosphere with their well written name plates and meticulously organized arrangements. I was visiting from out of state and had friends message me heartbroken that this wasn't local for us. The speecy spicy was beyond incredible, highly recommend getting it on a croissant. It doesn't change the previous experiences I have had here BUT I stopped back when this spot miraculously had no line. And this time I had the aptly named "Comeback Kid." Was delicious. Could see craving it. Unfortunately they had stopped serving breakfast so it was reheated from their fridge but was still great. Staff is extremely kind too. Still confused by their hours. Still confused on why cooked food is available for all but 1 day and 2 hours each day. Still confused by their high costs (maybe not confused for them taking advantage of being in Fox Chapel but confused why 2 drinks, one sandwich and a side of Mac salad cost about $35). I ran out to Curbside on the Run today to pick up a bacon, egg and cheese croissant along with my favorite breakfast drink of a chai latte, and this meal did not disappoint. Such a heavenly meal break in my day! First of all, I was surprised at how quickly I received my order, even though they were rather busy. I had a little time to look at everything that they offered, which was more significant than I expected. I've had this Speecy Spicy sandwich, chicken salad with cranberries, lemon almond chicken salad, various suits and salads. Additionally, the prices are reasonable and everything is fresh. Freshness, especially with breakfast items are of the utmost importance to me. No one wants stale bread or old breakfast meats or watery coffee drinks and Curbside on the Run doesn't disappoint! And let's talk about the service. The staff at Curbside on the Run is so friendly, so welcoming and so eager to please all of the customers that enter the café. If Curbside on the Run could bottle up their customer service approach, they should sell it to every restaurant in the surrounding area. This was my second-ever visit to Curbside, and I had a positive experience! The shop is located just down the road from Oakmont. It is a brightly-colored building that you will not miss. There is some private parking, but it seems to fill fast and that will leave you searching for a spot. On this particular trip, it took me a while to finally find a parking space. They do not have indoor seating, but there are chairs and benches outside where you can enjoy your items. I visited around lunchtime on a Tuesday, and it was fairly busy. However, I thought the line moved quickly and the staff was friendly and curious. They still took time to talk to the customers and give suggestions when warranted, from what I could tell. I have had some of the food here previously, but on this trip I just got the Rice Krispie Treat Latte. It was good, but the marketing for it on Instagram had it looking different than what I received. Not a big deal, but maybe something to note about their drinks when ordering from a picture on their socials. From my observations on this visit, it seems like when they are busy, they will delay or pause online ordering. No issue with this, but just a note if you are having trouble getting an order in. Also, there are signs in the shop that they will not do MTO food after 1 PM, which is a few hours before they close. The prices here are relatively high, in my opinion. The food and the drinks are good, and a lot of them are made right on-site. Even still, this place is on the higher end for cost. For example, my latte was over $9 with no customizations or special adds. I like this shop, the decor of the building, and the overall vibes. I wish they served their MTO food during all hours of operation, and that they had some weekend hours. I would likely visit here more if their hours were not limited to daylight on weekdays, when most are at work. read more

It comes with egg + greens, bacon (lots), and a phenomenal house bang bang sauce (+cheese if you like that). That sauce was magical and elevated the sandwich. The shaken espresso was also bomb.com. This was the first pistachio flavored latte I've gotten that tasted strongly of pistachio. It also wasn't too sweet. Yummy!! Things to note: they don't up-charge for nondairy milk and they have non dairy cold foam. The people are super nice and the exterior was well decorated with plenty of flowers. Very cute. Curbside on the Run has a plethora of in-house/ homemade baked good, salads, sandwiches, and to go beverages and frozen items for purchase as well as their hand crafted beverages and to order breakfast sandwiches, all of which are out of this world . I've yet to have an item that wasn't fantastic. The blueberry baked oatmeal and mini chocolate chip cookies are always a stand out for me for take away items. I usually order a protein smoothie for breakfast or I will sometimes order a breakfast sandwich that they are amazing about making with no meat for me since I am a plant based eater. They are always so kind to accommodate my needs and my non dairy beverages are also no exception. The coffees are also to Die For! I never get a trip in without a latte and I'm usually not a sweet coffee drinker. The cold foams are too good not to get one. Oatmeal cream pie or pecan pie is my current fav but the pictured pistachio was a smash. The smoothie was out of this world amazing. The only sadness was when I got to the bottom with no refill button insight. 12/10 customer service every time. The shop is small but the energy is always the best of vibes. The worst day is the best day by the time you walk out. I went in sobbing once and left with a small smile. The staff was too sweet not to cheer up even on my worst day. I recently visited Curbside on the Run. Located in O'Hara Township, this spot is pretty small and it is takeout only. They do have some outdoor seating, but it is minimal. The space is decorated brightly with lots of color and rainbows. (My kind of spot!) inside, they offer a variety of items such as sandwiches, lattes, baked goods (get the chocolate chip cookies!), salads, etc. they have a ton of offerings and it is easy to spend some money in there. lol I ordered a turkey sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich on a pretzel bun. I also ordered a Rice Krispie treat latte, which is a seasonal latte. I also bought some baked goods and bbq chicken pasta salad to take home. Everything I ate and drank was phenomenal. I'm a fan! I placed an online order so it was ready upon walking in. They also have some refrigerators filled with some to go coffee and soups. Parking is small, but there are spots available. No seating inside, more of a grab and go spot. I got the Comeback Kid Sandwich on a roll. There are many options to select other than a roll such as a bagel or a croissant. It came with bacon, eggs and a hashbrown with their comeback sauce on it. It's a woody ketchup flavor originated from MS, good flavor. The line was out the door when I arrived, so I knew I was almost certainly in for a treat. COTR offers a plethora of permanent and seasonal options for coffee, tea, and smoothies. I opted for the seasonal, Girl-Scout-cookie-inspired Adventureful cold brew, with flavors of brownie and caramel and cookie cold foam on top. It was incredible from the first sip. The coffee was strong without being overly bitter, and the chocolate and caramel flavors were the perfect accompaniment. The cold foam on top was delightful and thick as well. I also ordered a breakfast sandwich with cheese and bacon on an English muffin, and it was just as delightful as the coffee. The scrambled eggs were cooked to perfection, and the bacon had a hint of sweetness to it. I also grabbed two canned cold brews to take home, and I can't wait to try them. Things to keep in mind if visiting: -Baked goods sell out QUICKLY. Go early if you want a shot at trying something specific. -There is no seating at COTR. Ok, so as I write this I have only visited Curbside twice, but when I tell you I was obsessed after the first visit, I mean it. I told anyone who would listen about it. Curbside is run by the most pleasant and friendly humans. They couldn't match the fun and happy mural vibes more. It is takeout only, and closed on the weekends, but if you take to social media you'll quickly see that isn't stopping a single person from rolling through and making videos from their car. Now that you've confirmed that's a real thing... It's happening because it is seriously that good. I really can't speak for the drinks other than a great smoothie I had. There are more options for coffee concoctions than sandwiches and I can't wait to try more. The sandwiches were very filling, my friend and I got full off half a sandwich, and mine was on the sweeter side possibly due to the jam. I used to visit Curbside Coffee on my drive from Oakmont to downtown when traffic was crazy 10 years ago, so I was familiar with their old concept. I have heard and seen people RAVE about Curbside on the Run since they moved locations. While visiting Pittsburgh, my mom and I stopped after the gym since it was on the way home. The new location is even smaller? Very tiny inside and very small parking lot. No seating hence the "on the run". We stopped on a weekday morning and there were about 25 people squeezed elbow to elbow. I had no idea! I ordered a pumpkin iced coffee (my first of the season) and it was ok, but way too sweet. I even ordered it half sweet. The employees were very friendly. We ordered a breakfast sandwich to share and tried to change something on it, but were told no substitutions. Our breakfast bagel sandwich and coffee took about 15 minutes to make. There needs to be a better system for waiting in line to order and waiting to pick up orders. It was crazy in there! The breakfast sandwich was worth the wait! Wow it is stacked with eggs! It was really so big that we could each have half and be full. The sauce was delicious and I was glad that although they couldn't add veggies, they could take off the bacon for me. I also got an antioxidant salad that I ate for lunch. I have reviewed Curbside before and their coffee and breakfast sandwiches remain among the best in the city. I live in the South Hills so this is a hike for me but I still make it a point to come out every once in a while because they are that good and the people are so lovely and kind. Your day will be instantly improved when you come by here. The reason I'm writing an extra review is because I've purchased their made to order and ready to go items before, but want to mention their baked goods. I frequently pick up a little package of cookies here with my coffee because they always look so good, and right before Christmas I noticed they had large cookie trays ready to go and knew they would be reliably delicious from my family get together so I bought one. Pricing was about consistent with the well-known bakery up the road but I liked getting them here from a smaller vendor and not only were they beautiful and a nice variety, but my mom, who thinks nobody can make chocolate chip cookies like her, thought the chocolate chips were excellent. read more

All I know is that this place better stay in business forever! What a little Pittsburgh gem. My brisket sandwich was so delicious. I wanted to buy everything in the store. Their soups look so good. You can tell that they make nearly everything from scratch. The servers are so pleasant and genuinely love the work that they do. The only downside is parking, which is extremely limited. read more
