Divvy is an amazing place to go if you're in Oakland in the morning as a student, worker, or just in the area. The workers there are super nice, they have lots of drink options, and have fun breakfast and sweet options. I need to go back and try some of their sweeter dessert buns. The vibe of the place was really cute too. I think it would be a fun place to sit in meet a friend or just enjoy your drink and food. They have over 20 syrups, and they said that most of them are made in house. I had the cookie butter syrup in my iced chai, and that was legit so accurately tasting like cookie butter. It was amazing. My friend had an iced coffee with their orange blossom syrup and she loved it. read more

We came to grab a quick drink on a Saturday morning, and they were super busy. It didn't take long to order, but it took maybe 15 min before my drink was ready. This place looked really cute with plenty of tables. Their food menu also looked really good. I would have to come back to try that another time. My matcha in bloom was pretty tasty and light. It had a nice rose flavor and a light cream on top. The matcha part tasted a little watered down though. It was also pretty pricey for a drink ~$8. I would come back and try something else. read more

Busy coffee shop in the heart of Oakland's right in the middle of Pitt campus. Plenty of seating and yet there were still a few moments where people were looking for somewhere to eat. I visited this place on a weekday around 9 AM. Mostly college students but also older adults getting work done and having their morning coffee. The line never got super long but this wouldn't be somewhere to grab a coffee if you're already late to work. Service was lovely, the people behind the counter are very kind. I ordered one of their buns, they had a Turkish name. The bun itself wasn't as great as I thought it would be, was more like bread than a bun TBH. And it took a while to make which is fine for me since I was staying but something to be cautious about. I got a coconut lavender latte though and enjoyed that. Wi-Fi is strong enough to do your work. There aren't too many outlets available though. Especially in a tables in the middle. And I guess it's not meant to be a studying café because people are pretty loud in there, bring your headphones. read more

the location is nice. the sandwiches were good, but needed ketchup or a sauce. However, they completely forgot about our coffee order. We reminded them and they continued making other customer's orders and ignoring ours. when they finally made them, they were the wrong size and they did not even apologize. read more

Divvy Buns & Coffee a bustling hub on Forbes Avenue very near the Pitt campus. The pink rose photo wall and fake topiaries scream 21-year-old Insta Diva, but sometimes you just want a big fluffy bun covered in Nutella, fruit, and whipped cream for breakfast. I cut some of the sweetness of the Paris by pairing it with a whole-milk raspberry matcha latte. If that's not your style, the food menu also includes savory options, and the drink menu is extensive, but the staff are happy to wait while you make up your mind. Word to the wise: if you want/need to plug-in, choose a seat at the counter in the front window or along the right-hand wall. read more

Divvy Coffee and Buns serves coffees, lattes, espressos, teas, savory buns, sweet buns, salads, açaí bowls, etcetera. Prices are about several dollars per menu item. I have eaten two breakfasts here. The interior of the restaurant was decorated with pink flowers, a bird cage, and other stylish decor. The seating area includes tables, chairs, and a sofa. The employees have always spoken courteously. Here are my ratings for what I ate: Pittsburghese bun - 4.5 stars - This bun was several inches in diameter. It had a solid center and no filling. It was topped with peanut butter, two pretzels, and chocolate sauce. Istanbul Delight bun - 4 stars - A bun was topped with pistachios, Turkish lokum (jelly candy), and vanilla ice cream Playa del Carmen açaí bowl - 4.5 stars - Açaí was topped with crunchy granola and sweet blueberries, strawberries, and honey. Chai latte - 5 stars - This chai latte tasted delicious! Tropical Passion Fruit Refresher - 5 stars - This beverage had a nice balance of sweet and sour flavors. Some fresh fruit chunks were included. read more

Honey vanilla latte was suggested by staff and was great. Had the breakfast sandwich and was great as well.

A group of U.S. walked to Divvy on a Sunday morning, and we absolutely loved it. One thing to note is that Divvy gets quite busy, so while there is indoor seating, it may not be guaranteed. Their menu boasts a large selection of specialty coffees, teas, baked goods, and savory dishes, and it was truly difficult to choose just one drink because everything sounded so good. I went with the pistachio baklava iced latté, and I almost ordered a second to go because it was so good. It was the perfect amount of sweet, and that sweetness didn't take away from the strong coffee. The breakfast sandwich was good, but it didn't blow me away. I wish the bun would have been swapped out for a bagel or English muffin. But the eggs were very good, and the cheese was nice and gooey. One person in our group ordered a pomegranate green tea, and she said it was very flavorful but not obnoxiously sweet. Overall, we really enjoyed Divvy and will almost certainly be back! read more

Great spot by Pitt campus for coffee and small breakfast items/sandwiches. Coffee is always good and even when I get flavored drinks it's not as sweet as the ones you'd get at Starbucks or dunkin which I like for a pretty similar price. The bacon egg and cheese was pretty good too I like the sweet bun that it comes on and it was pretty filling. read more

I love the space, like the coffee, and think the food is ok. The staff are attentive and do a nice job filling orders. I've sampled the food twice--the first time, I had a veggie breakfast sandwich (the only vegan sandwich option). I was disappointed that it was just some raw vegetables on a large, dry bun. The second time I went I had an apple turnover. It was big and fluffy in the case and totally deflated to a flat, bland croissant with a smidge of apple filling after it was heated. I will keep coming back for coffee and the vibe, but will probably not count on eating there. read more

Super cute coffee shop with so many options whenever it comes to lattes and matcha flavors! There's plenty of seating and space to not feel so cramped. I ordered the Coconut Honey latte with oat milk and Divvy's Famous Breakfast Sandwich. The coffee was pretty good, but I wish it was a bit sweeter, maybe an extra pump of the coconut syrup could've helped 8/10. The Famous Breakfast Sandwich was only okay in my opinion, I feel like it was missing a sauce 7/10. I'd definitely check this place out if you love trying new and fun latte's! read more

Stopped in here recently when staying at the hospital. Really cool spot with a lot of good food and drink options. I had the breakfast sandwich, which was an egg, bacon, and cheese on a brioche bun. I added chipotle aioli. It was an awesome sandwich. The fresh bun held everything together perfect and they loaded it up with bacon. My wife had an iced coffee and said it was very good as well. read more

Love stopping in here for breakfast when I'm visiting the area. Really love their bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich. The bun is nice and soft with the bacon, egg, and cheese all nicely melted together. I usually order a latte and most recently got the English Toffee latte. They have lots of flavors to choose from and I enjoy their coffee. They have a decent amount of seating inside. You will usually find students hanging out having a drink. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but always enjoy my meals here. read more

I came in on Sunday to try the spot out. Students were there studying and conversing. There was ample seating available. I ordered a Istanbul Delight bun. They called me shortly afterwards to let me know they were out of a key ingredient for it. I asked what else would be available. The Carnival was comparable I'm told, but they were out of strawberries. They didn't seem to know what else to offer so I settled on the Carnival. It came out on a wooden cutting board and I found silverware on the counter. The bun itself was good, with a hint of coffee like flavor. The custard topping didn't offer much nor did the ice cream. I'd much prefer the bun standalone. It was just okay. Glad to have tried the bun and see the cafe. read more

Really cute spot in Oakland. Great place to come and chill with friends. They are in no hurry to get people in and out like some establishments. I got the rose latte. What a cool place! They offer quite a variety of different breakfast options, both savory and sweet. I was most interested in their buns, which seemed to be a unique offering. So, I tried out the Sweet Paris dessert bun. The Sweet Paris bun came with a bit of bananas, strawberries, and Nutella. The portion was quite large, but it wasn't all that cheap either. It came with an ample amount of delicious hazelnut and chocolate spread. The inside of the bun was soft and fluffy. Very tasty! The bottom had a nice crispiness to it. Almost like a tad of a coffee flavor at the bottom. Not too sweet or sugary itself, but a delicious sweet topping. I loved it. I would recommend this place for coffee, breakfast, or sweet buns. It's a solid spot for sure! read more

Sandwiches are good here, but they are very greasy. Drinks are not that good. I got a matcha and it tasted minty even though I didn't get a mint flavoring in my drink. Also sandwiches and drinks are overpriced. It is very pretty inside, but it does not make up for the prices. read more

A cute coffee shop on Pitt's college campus. The seating is great for taking photos for your social media accounts. However, the coffee is run-of-the-mill and often pumped with syrups and sugars only to taste just passable. The buns are pretty good, so i recommend opting for the sandwiches as a bite to eat. read more

Wanted to try local instead of Starbucks so stopped by Divvy before our tour of campus. Man, talk about expensive. Two breakfast sandwiches and two coffees came in at around $22 (?!). My americano was fine, hard to screw that up. My daughter had a vanilla latte that tasted more like milk. The food was...a mix. My sausage egg and cheese bun was delicious. Great flavor, nice and warm on a great bun. My daughter got the Pairs bun (at least I think that is what it is called) with Nutella, fruit and hazelnuts with a drizzle of chocolate sauce. A bit much for first thing in the morning and a challenge to eat. It was good, but seven dollars leaves a bad taste in the mouth. Willing to try it again but maybe a bit more selective next time. read more

This place was very cute and boujee aesthetic. My friends said their breakfast sandwiches were the best they had ever had. I had a latte and it was pretty good. I didn't like that it was dead silent In there until more people came. It would have been more comfortable if there had been music playing. Other than that they had a really comfy seating section and overall good vibes. I recommend. read more

Stopped by on a weekend morning to try their coffee! I liked how they have a wide range of coffee beverages, including their divvyccinos with some non-caffeine options. Their caramel chocolate cookie chip latte was pretty solid! Definitely had some cookie dough/cookie butter vibes as well as a subtle caramel taste. Lattes are typically sweet but I liked how this one wasn't as sweet as expected. Staff was patient and nice! Lots of tables and loved how there were some cute colorful couches as well as a rose/floral wall for your pics. In the future, I would love to try their cakes and other drinks! read more

Now that they have been here for a while and I have tried multiple items. It's still just ok. Service is very slow. Coffee is good but the buns are so bland! Cute little place in the heart of business oakland. Staff was nice, but only one person working on drinks and food. I got their classic bacon egg and cheese with a cortado. Cortado was heavy on the espresso side, great in my opinion. The breakfast sandwhich was $9. Scrambled eggs were fresh and bacon was crispy. But was good. I give this sandwhich a 8.5 out of 10. read more

I stopped by here earlier today by myself for my morning coffee. Divvy Coffee & Buns is located right on Forbes in the heart of Oakland and I decided to come here after noticing it the night before. The inside of this restaurant consists of plenty of seating, a giant accent of pink on one of the side walls and then an area to order your food and coffee in the back. As their name would suggest, they offer a variety of coffees and then both savory and sweet buns. On this Saturday morning I arrived shortly after they opened at 8 AM and was the only customer. After perusing the menu, I ultimately went with a large caramel latte. Upon placing my order I was asked what type of milk I wanted and chose whole. Then, while waiting for my coffee to be ready, I checked out both the menu and the restaurant. After a short amount of time I had my coffee and was on my way. The coffee itself was decent, with the most prominent flavor being the sweet caramel. Then the milk helped to add some creaminess. Unfortunately the coffee itself got lost in the caramel flavor and so while I knew it was there, I didn't really get to taste much of it. For some that probably is a good thing, but for me, well, I really like to enjoy the coffee as well. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. Their buns definitely looked interesting and while I was a little disappointed in the coffee I had, I would certainly try another, this time without the flavoring. read more

Huge differentiator from the other cafe/coffee shops in the area - the acai bowls. I had never had acai before and I went on a total binge after I got the acai bowls here. Stopped by for a snack and to do a little bit of work. Such a cute little coffee shop with plenty of seating and WiFi. It wasn't too noisy inside either. I think everything was reasonably priced (~$7 for a bun). The sweet bun hit the spot! I got the Paris Bun and it was topped generously with Nutella, hazelnuts, and strawberry/banana.
