Fast service. Cute little spot with a few seats. My kids have been dying to try the Dubai Chocolate Strawberry cups, they are generously sized. You can pick your type of chocolate (milk, dark, white or Nutella). The cups are layered with chocolate, pistachio butter, fresh strawberries and a layer of crunch! We stopped here on a warm summer night when Pitt was out of session so we enjoyed our snack on a quiet evening in Oakland as we sat at one of their tables out front. Their crepe was the star of the show compared to the waffle, which while crispy, didn't pack in the flavor even with the berries and whipped cream. They were a little bit slow overall so despite not being too busy it took a bit to get our order, but we'd definitely stop here again to try some other items. read more

Detailed Review: Dubai Strawberries - 4/5 This treat is actually very good and worth all the online hype. The strawberries could be cut smaller in my opinion because most of them were whole. Also, the cup came with dome lid that I took off for the photo because generally, giving a customer a not full cup is a bad look. Overall, we were only in there to order to go but the place was cute. The woman at the counter did make a point of showing her annoyance to the customers in front of us that were ordering at the counter instead of the kiosk so we opted to go to the kiosk. Would maybe visit their other location to try something else since the parking is a pain at this location but I don't see myself spending another $15 on a cup of chocolate strawberries. read more

I ended up ordering the San Sebastián cake. It sounded really unique, and it was! The closest dessert I can compare it to is a cheesecake. However, it's a bit lighter than that. The texture is fantastic: creamy, but not excessively. There isn't really much of a "crust" though, but I liked that. Almost burnt looking topping but it was great. With your San Sebastián cake, you get a chance of sweet sauce topping. I decided to go with their Belgian milk chocolate. Wow, it was delicious! They give you a whole lot of sauce, too. Very creamy, and quite sweet. All in all, I would definitely recommend trying this place. The prices are a tad on the high side, but the quality is quite good. Ordered the mini pancakes because we saw them on social media. A prime example of Instagram vs reality...we got 15 very small pancake circles. With chocolate sauce, I paid almost $10 for this. A huge rip-off - do not get this! This is the main reason for the rating. The waffles looked much better. On the other hand, their toilet paper in the bathroom is very soft. The two people working there seemed tired and unenthused, but that could just be their personality. Doesn't affect the service. You order at the iPad and wait for your order to come out. This place was diabetes on a plate and I LOVED IT! We got both a milk chocolate banana crepe and a Nutella and strawberry crepe. Both were bursting with fruit and chocolate and absolutely delicious. I ordered through Grubhub and it was AWESOME! These Oakland places do it right and do it QUICK. I ordered at 8:12 and my order arrived at 8:50! So fast. We got a fruit waffle and a fruit crepe. Both were fantastic. I wish the waffle was a little bit thicker, but it was still great nonetheless. I can't wait to try more from this place. The cafe is situated on a slanty street which gives it a super cute feeler.This cafe isn't huge when it comes to space- not much seating but definitely enough for a small cafe.I had a latte and my daughter chose to try their waffles with three chocolate sauces.The coffee tasted great.But the waffles were just out of this world.Super fresh, made to perfection and all three sauces/chocolate tasted fresh and delicious-definitely a winner. After looking at their menu I could tell they specialize in crepes and waffles made with different famous chocolates like Kit-Kat, Ferraro, Resses and many more.They also keep small goodies by Kinder and Lotus(my fav.). The customer service was great.The girl behind the counter was friendly and so the person who made my coffee. Walking along 5th Avenue and the surrounding side streets when our group of four stumbled upon this little gem! There was only one other patron when we arrived and the aromas brought us right in! Lots of different options and a really easy 'roadmap' on the wall to help customers decide which desserts and what pairings to select. Service was as prompt as made-to-order crepes can be, and the plating was really beautiful. While I love chocolate, I wish there would've been some fresh fruit to mix in to cut all the sweet. Came here a lot while in undergrad, but this was the first time I came here in a while. While the waffle we got was delicious, the service was what could be improved. I think one of the servers was new and being trained so she was confused when we tried to order with her instead of the kiosk, but even when we tried to order half Lotus and half milk chocolate on our waffle we ended up getting half milk and half white.
