This place was within walking distance to our hotel nearby. It's on the ground floor of a multi-story building and easy to find. We walked there but parking seemed available here and there on the street. Apparently they are a small chain and we were excited to try them out! Very busy even on a regular Monday morning. We got seated right away and overall it's a great and reliable breakfast place where you get good service and your coffee cup is always full. My friend had the bananas Foster waffles which he said were pretty darn good! I can't really eat sweet things like that in the morning but I had one quick taste in a definitely have that good bananas Foster taste you would get in New Orleans. I had The Benny which was amazing and full of flavor! Definitely a good way to start the day with a good protein laden breakfast with tons of flavor. Sunday morning I called to put in a order and after putting in my order I was told that the almonds on the chicken salad was pre made with them in there so they can't be removed. No problem. Told the young lady ok, I will call right back because we have a nut allergy here with the ordering party. She said "no problem, just call us back." I called back like 10 times with no answer. I assumed they took the phone off the hook because once I arrived I was told my order, to go will take 45 minutes and the phone didn't ring once. I have a love hate relationship with this location of Waffles Incaffeinated. Love the food but it desperately needs new management! Either book more staff for weekends so you'll earn more repeat customers, or keep what you're doing and risk losing those customers who keep trying to love your restaurant again but keep leaving utterly disappointed with the management. 2 hours for food, when all that you have are 5 two-tops seated? Ain't nobody got time for that! Is the owner/manager TRYING to kill this location, just doesn't give a flying F, or actually an incompetent manager/owner? Honestly one of the best restaurant experiences I have had. Our waitress was absolutely wonderful. The perfect amount of attention and was so patient and kind. I especially appreciated this since it was my friend and I and 5 kids total. The food was wonderful also. I ordered the funky monkey waffle. Omg! Mouth watering! My son ordered the chicken and waffles on the kids menu. It was so good and the fruit that came with it was great. My friend ordered breakfast tacos and they looked great. I love this place!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! The menu is huge and you have a lot of choices. Vegetarian, healthy options are included as well. You can build your own omelette or waffle. Upon check in we are told the wait was 30-40 min. Which was fine. We waited 60min. Ok, fine, they were busy. We sat, then ordered, THEN was told they were short staffed in the kitchen and the food would talk awhile. It took 1 hour to get breakfast. The waiter was apologetic and kind. The food wasn't great. Came here on a Sunday for brunch. I added our names to the list before I left my house but we still ended up waiting a little bit. We had a table for 6 so limited seating for a larger group. There wasn't really anyone working the host stand so I was confused on where to check in once I got there. The host stand and the waitresses register/coffee area is right in the entrance when you walk in. I ordered a vanilla latte which was good but my friend order a cranberry spritzer and there was no bubbles in it. I was asked if I wanted cream but I waited indefinitely on cream and when it came my coffee was cold so I asked for a warm cup of coffee and it seemed to upset the waitress when she brought it . I also realised that the toast that I had ordered I didn't want butter on it so I went back to the kitchen and asked the waitress to not put butter on it she said I didn't have any toast coming because I didn't ask for it but it was on the menu but she said oh no it just said you could ask for toast or sub a waffle so I ordered the toast again that seemed to upset her so what was next on that? My grandson ordered a bananas foster waffle and a special latte drink. He said his waffles were excellent however his latte was not near as good as the other location on 5th Avenue my eggs that I ordered there were three eggs I ordered them over easy however they came over hard. I was so frustrated by then that I didn't say anything about it. Paid a lot of money for an average or below average meal. We will never be back to this location. My grandson says the next time we're in Pittsburgh we want to maybe try the other location. Also my cup of coffee when I finish it had probably a half a teaspoon of grounds in the bottom of the cup. What an amazing find. Great breakfast/brunch place. Service was a little slow but during a pandemic it's understandable. They had indoor and outside seating. Tables inside were a good distance apart. No items on the table needed to ask for everything and anything you wanted such as syrup, ketchup etc... I was a .little overwhelmed with all the choices so I ordered the taste of waffles which included a sample of 4 - 2 savory and 2 sweet. Perfect combination and not so large that you couldn't finish it yet large enough to be filing. The first savory was the simplest plain waffle topped with bacon, cheddar cheese, green onion and sour cream. The second savory was topped with house made sausage and gravy. The first sweet one was topped with a peanut butter, chocolate and strawberries. The second one had blueberries with a peach cream cheese this was my favorite hands down. My daughter was more in the mood for eggs and got scrambled eggs which were fluffily and flavorful with your choice of meat. She picked the chicken and cranberry sausage plus it came with home fries which were hard on the outside and soft in the middle and she traded her toast for a waffle plus she got a side of fruit. This is going to be a very strange review. My service was phenomenal, the food was pretty tasty, and I don't think anyone should ever patronize this business!!! At the very least until their manager was fired. This guy was so bad/creepy that it really severely our dining experience. We'd just been sat when the manager comes up and takes pictures of the table next to us. VERY creeper-like. Before I could ask what he was doing, he scurried away to another table and took pics, then a third. Finally, it clicks to me that he's taking pictures of tables that have dirty dishes on them. Assumingly to tell the owners. This placed was staffed by my young college-aged kids and it was packed!!! If there were a few dishes sitting for a minute or two on a table, it wasn't the end of the world. Also, a true manager/leader would: A. Pick up the dishes himself or B. Talk to the staff about bussing the tables a little quicker We then overheard him talking to one of the young girls about her upcoming schedule saying: "If I give you that day off, what will you do for me" That when I lost it and started calling him Ron Jeremy (look it up) The table next to us just got up and walked out. We paid our bill, tipped our waitress, and LOUDLY exclaimed to the staff that they are better than this and deserve to be treated with respect and common decency, oh and not to be sexually harassed by their jackass of a manager. We used the yelp waiting list to get our name on list before we showed up. It estimated a 30-45 minute wait for that Saturday morning. It said we should get there around 11:40am, so we did. We still ended up waiting around for another 40 minutes or so. This was confusing to us because there were at least 12 other people waiting for tables but there were free, empty tables available. I assumed the host was just slow to seat people. Once seated, a blue haired server came by to take our order. We'd had so much time to look at the menu, we already knew exactly what we wanted: 1. Coffee. With cream 2. Breakfast magic waffle with spicy sour cream 3. Country Benedict waffle (has fried chicken, eggs, and gravy on it). This was my favorite. 4. A funky monkey dessert waffle when we were done with the first two. The food was so damn good! All of it! My partner and I agreed that we actually liked our savory waffles even better than the dessert waffle! The server asked how we wanted our eggs, and she delivered the perfect over easy and over medium eggs. We could literally tell the difference between our two egg orders when they brought them! I wasn't a fan of the berry reduction sauce, which was a little too tart for my taste. Apart from the delicious meal, I gave it 3 stars because I wasn't pleased with my experience upon arrival. I heard that there could be a wait list and I was prepared to be patient. I went on a weekday around 11am, and found there was barely anyone there. Yet, I had to wait a bit before being greeted or even told that someone would be with me. After being seated, the service was alright. We only had one meal to enjoy in Pittsburgh -- brunch -- so our friend brought us to Waffles Incaffeinated. There was a wait when we arrived and for good reason; this place is delicious! I got the Foster's waffle, which comes with walnuts inside and out, bananas and a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream on top, smothered in foster's sauce. (I'm a pregnant lady on vacation -- yes I'm getting ice cream as part of my breakfast!) This was a delight and surprisingly not too sweet. Everything balanced so well, with the waffles themselves still being the star of the show. Even the ice cream wasn't overpowering. It was a lot of food, but I still finished my plate. My husband got the BC Breakfast, which is the breakfast combo with three eggs, choice of meat, two slices of toast, and two other non-meat sides. (Given the lack of ice cream, I don't think he got the memo that we were on vacation. Ha!) I did steal a couple of bites of his, though. The bacon seemed over-processed, but the sautéed mushrooms I would definitely get again. If you're trying to do Sunday brunch around regular brunch time at this place, make sure to put yourself on the waitlist online/Yelp app; also gives you an idea of how many groups are in front of you waiting to be seated...so you're not waiting outside for too too long Once we were finally seated, the server (that looked a little like Ed Sheeran) came to ask what beverages we wanted...waters all around, peppermint tea and a latte. I wish they refilled our waters for us as time went on. Their tea selection is more varied than expected and the tea quality was relatively good. The signature latte wasn't as cute as the picture on their menu (with the cross hatch pattern) but was pretty good. They took forever to bring the food (they were aware because the server came to apologize and reassure us about 10 mins before the food came out without us prompting)...my waffle was a little cold but everyone else at my table was satisfied with the temperature of their food. There was also no cutlery at the table; someone brought for us about 5 mins after the food...more time for the food to get colder.  I decided to go with a savoury waffle and try the Souther'...was light on the sausage (unfortunately) and extra heavy on the salsa but there was a wonderful spiciness that was mild but very present. My husband tried the Benedict which seemed like a cross between chicken and waffles and biscuits and gravy...the gravy on his was lovely, he loved it and to be honest I was a little jealous. This place shines in their make your own waffle. My mother in law did that and it was sort of fun picking out mix-ins and toppings. Our friend did the make your own omelette which he said was *kisses fingers*. The place is pretty busy and the seats are a bit close quarters...I was all elbows bumping into my husband trying to eat with my knife and fork. All in all, I had an enjoyable experience despite some hangups and I may hit this place up again when I'm back in town. read more

This WAS my favorite breakfast spot. Within the last few months service has gone downhill. We continued to come back because we love the food and had some time to kill so weren't in a rush. My husband and I normally order the same thing each and everytime- a vegetarian delight omelette but no tomatoes add sausage. We are aware the sausage no longer makes it vegetarian but we were told we can't order this or customize an omelette meanwhile the menu has "customize your omelette". This didn't bother me but the waitress was so incredibly rude and seemed so bothered to even take orders, not to mention we waited for over 15 minutes each time before someone even came over to us for drink orders. Each time it was not busy at all. We'be coming here for years. Someone help this place get back to the service someone should expect when going out to eat. Waiting 15 minutes to get a drink order when they are busing tables right next to you just shows they have no idea how to multitask or even care about good service.
