A good friend has eaten here quite a bit and he said he's never had a bad meal. My family and I gave it a shot and I think it lived up to expectations. A family member got the Cobb salad, and they're brought it out with an enormous, and tasty, piece of chicken on top. Another family member got the Chophouse salad, and it came out with a huge hanger steak. Instead of fries, it had redskin potatoes and it looked almost like somebody put a salad together and cooked a roast to put on it. The only thing off was that it was requested to be medium, and it was seated nicely, but far closer to rare. We tried the oysters, and they were good. They came out with 3 sauces (cocktail, hot sauce, and cucumber mignonette). We tried the potato croquettes, and they're game with a slice of jalapeño and a spicy sauce. The croquettes were crispy on the outside and really airy on the inside. The jalapeño was a great touch as it added some bite that we all liked. I'd get this again. We tried the Burrata toast, and it consisted of four pieces that had an enormous ball of cheese. They were a group favorite. I'd definitely get it again. We tried the beef carpaccio, and it came out with a large portion of toast. I thought the beef was good, but I preferred it without the toast as it seemed to hide the beef flavor. I went with the seared salmon, and that came with grains and pickled onions. The salmon was cooked very well, and I feel like the grain, onions, and sauces gave it a unique flavor. I appreciated them doing something different. I got the broccoli as a side as I just don't see it as an option very often. It had a balsamic glaze, tomato, and it was cooked well. I also got to try some of their lamb chops, and the portion was huge. The lamb itself was good, but there was a spice on it that didn't seem to be equally distributed. You'd not taste it for a few bites, then you'd take a bite and this heat would kick in. It wasn't bad by any means, but it was enough that several of us noticed it. The lamb came with roasted carrots, and those were amazing. They are easily the best carrots that any of us had, and they're good enough that I think it's worth mentioning. One person got dessert, the crème brûlée, and she said she'd have been happy to have five more brought out, so it's a safe assumption that it was tasty. Lastly, the service was exceptional. I'm really sorry that I didn't catch her name, but she was great. With everything that was ordered, she handled it all well and she couldn't have been kinder. Fantastic service out of the gate, but bogged down after we were sat. Great cocktail menu. Maybe it was the rainy day Thursday crowd that threw them off. The calamari was quite dry. And most places it is but when you decorate it up so much maybe focus on what it is, someone knew before it left the kitchen‍ The charcuterie was fantastic but me nor the staff knew what cheese you actually put on it. Tuesday nights at The Lot are all-you-can-eat crab legs, and apparently their business model is to see who gives up first......you or the servers. Yes, it's a little pricey, but the crab legs were absolutely delicious. Every time we finished a plate, another one magically appeared. The servers just kept coming with plate after plate like they were personally invested in our cholesterol numbers. If you're a crab leg fan, come hungry. I had an amazing Sunday brunch at The Lot with my family! We were able to walk in and only waited a short time before being seated. The menu had a lot of great options, but I was so excited that they had an impossible breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel. I'm a big fan of The Lot for breakfast/brunch but haven't been for dinner in years. I recently went for a quick app and drinks. FYI- they only offer happy hour specials at the bar. I ordered a glass of wine on top and then a frozen espresso martini. Both were great! The martini tasted like chocolate milk lol. My husband really enjoyed his gin martinis. We ordered a cheese board that was fine, nothing out of this world. My biggest complaint was the price - 2 drinks each and a charcuterie board cost us $100. Pretty disappointing experience overall. The service was extremely slow even though the restaurant didn't seem very busy & it was a real hassle trying to refill any of our drinks. Our waitress was nice, but the food itself was surprisingly average and honestly felt like something you could easily make at home. The biggest issue for us was the manager's attitude when we were showing our IDs to order drinks. He really only seemed to double check one of them, which is completely fine, but the way he handled it was just unnecessarily rude. Instead of simply checking it and handing it back, he basically tossed the ID back toward us, scoffed, and came across like we were inconveniencing him. There was no politeness or explanation, and the whole interaction just felt weird and uncomfortable for something that should have been completely routine. On top of that, they served us extremely burnt bacon, which I'll include a picture of because it really speaks for itself. I have been to The Lot several times. Usually I am here for either breakfast or lunch, and this visit was on a Sunday in the late morning. The restaurant has a bar, indoor seating, and outdoor seating. There is also a cigar bar in the upstairs area. I typically visit during the week, and it is not too crowded. However, it was very busy on this particular Sunday. We had a reservation, and were sat within a few minutes of arrival. I would recommend a reservation on the weekends, or when you are seeking specific seating (such as the patio). Though not specifically on the menu, I was able to order a plain iced coffee to drink. Appreciated the waitress being able to make this. It was exactly what I was looking for and hit the spot. I have tried a lot of the menu during my several visits here, but today I had the Chorizo & Sprout Hash for my main meal. It was good, and I loved the texture of the brussel sprouts with the sauce. All of the "hash" dishes I have tried here have been winners. I also got a side of the Crispy Redskin Potatoes. This is by far my favorite menu item here, and I always recommend them to everyone. Additionally, I sampled some of the Thin Crispy Pancakes. The texture of these were great, and they sort of reminded me of a funnel cake. Our waitress was quick and friendly. We had great service throughout our entire visit this day, despite the restaurant being full and busy. I love The Lot and keep coming back. I used to work in the area, and would come here more than I do now, but even so I still will make the trip to enjoy a meal. Not for me. I, personally, will not be back. I had the steak and my husband had the burger both of which were fine at best. My mom and dad had the lamb which they raved about and said was very good. We shared the shrimp macaroni and cheese, and it had a very overwhelming flavor of egg. It was offputting. We did a side of potatoes and I did not like them. It's a cute restaurant in a cool location but the food takes absolutely forever and the menu is limited. Service was lovely. That's really where they got their stars. The restaurant was buzzing at noon but the waitress was cheerful and helpful taking our drink order but giving us time to catch up. We got the steak appetizer and the burger. Both were solid picks. The service was very friendly and timely. They were communicating the menu, refilling drinks, checking in, and delivering hot food. We liked that they had knowledge over the dishes on the menu and could provide recommendations. The only downside was that they did not ask someone with a barking dog to leave the porch. I heard a lot of good things about this restaurant and was excited to go here to celebrate an accomplishment. When I made the reservation I mentioned I was coming for a reason and it wasn't even acknowledged but whatever. We sat outside on a colder night and would have been ok if we weren't sat in what seamed to be the only corner without heat but everyone around seemed cozy. I ordered the steak medium well it came out charred but still pretty pink in the middle but I ate what I could and took the rest to cook the next day. The mashed potatoes tasted instant and very little seasoning definitely not like a garlic mash. I didn't like any of the sauces I tried the chimichurri sauce with I usually enjoy at other restaurants I think it was too acidic for my taste and the creamy pepper sauce which was just bad. The saving grace was the broccolini and the chicken parm my friend got. The veg was cooked well and the roasted tomatoes with the breadcrumbs on top really made it delicious. The chicken was was flavorful and it was topped with burrata cheese which is always a show stopper. The burrata was one of the best I have ever had; it was so flavorful :) I got the filet and added chimichurri and it was amazing! I always have a good experience at The Lot. This past time I was seated on the covered patio and had the Chophouse salad (a massive steak salad enough to feed an army) and it was tremendous. The steak was cooked perfectly, our server was attentive and didn't leave us waiting, and the overall experience was great for a casual weekday lunch. I came here for a private event and they put up in the upstairs cigar bar which I didn't love because of the strong smell of cigars. Additionally, it's an area more for lounging versus a meeting because of all the small clusters of armchairs and small tables scattered about. The spread of food they had was pretty good. I really liked all the flavors of their meats on the charcuterie board. Their mashed potatoes, roasted carrots, salmon, and chicken Parmesan were pretty good. One thing I didn't love is how they said the chicken was cooked in the same oil as seafood - one of my friends with us is very allergic to seafood so she didn't chance it with the chicken. The brownies and cookies they gave us for dessert were pretty good as well. Overall, the food was good enough to come back but maybe don't bring your friends with seafood allergies. read more

I had reservations for dinner on a Saturday and was seated promptly right by the kitchen entrance. I got the New York strip steak($48) , onions rings(+$10), double pork chop($39), and a bowl of cream of crab soup($10). The soup came out quite quick and tasted good although it felt a bit on the just warm side. It was quite creamy and a fair amount of crab meat. Bread was mediocre. After about 20ish minutes the main course came out. The New York strip was cooked to a medium/ medium well and bit over charred. I was very disappointed as it was not seasoned at all. Literally just a ny strip placed on a grill. I thought the Chimichuri would help it but i was completely let down. The chimichuri sauce had no salt or lemon in it, it was straight oil and herb thrown into a sauce container. The pork chop was quite thick as it was two pork chop, very moist but lacked flavor, thankfully it was in a sweet sauce. Surprisingly I found the sides to be my most enjoyed part of dinner. The Brussels sprouts and onions rings were crispy and seasoned excellent. Service was also a tad disappointing since we didn't get much attention, perhaps because we were seated right at the kitchen entrance. We went without water refills for the entire dinner. Lasty there was a 4% added surcharge for credit card usage. Overall I was quite disappointed with the overall food taste for its price and the whole experience itself. We used to love this place and some of the food is still great. Love the ambiance. Love their drinks. Last night my fiancé got a steak and it was charred to black. Completely over cooked to ash. It was a almost a $60 steak so for it to be messed up like that is pretty sad. Our server didn't say anything about it (I feel like as a server you should use common sense and look at the food you are bringing out and not just blindly put it down.) We didnt want to make a fuss so he still ate it, he said it wasn't good. A shame. I do have photos that I will attach. I ordered the steak salad, and it was a standout -- perfectly cooked steak, fresh greens, and a portion size that felt like a real value. The rest of the food we tried was also solid across the board, so no complaints there. That said, service was really slow.
