One of my favorite hidden cafes in Morningside. They offer the best crepe cake, baked goods and selection of drinks. The owner is always so friendly and this spot is a perfect little cafe for some work or reading.
It's really a cute coffee place to stop by. Great place for morning coffee or afternoon tea. I ordered dirty matcha lattes. It's really really good. Love the crumpet and the crepe cake. They also have little corner for the handmade jewelry. Super cute. You have to check it out when you there. I will stop by again when I'm in the area.
This is the CUTEST little spot in Morningside. I went on a Friday around noon with three other people. There's a a couple of small tables with chairs and a couch with a coffee table so it would work for small groups. We were there for a couple of hours and while there was a steady stream of people walking in and out, almost no one sat inside the cafe which is a shame because the inside is ADORABLE. If you like owls then you'll love their decor! There were two people working when we came in so everything took a little bit to come out but it was worth it. The staff was super friendly! The food was also delicious. I enjoyed the light and fluffy crepe cake and our HUGE toasts. The cherry and almond pastries were also delicious. Overall a great experience and I would definitely come back! The one thing that I did not love is that their bathroom is in the basement and it's creepy down there but that seems to be on par with pretty much every other Pittsburgh establishment so maybe pee before you go.

I love going to KaFair Cafe when I can! It's a bit of a trek for me, but it's always worth the trip. Their rainbow crepe cake is my favorite way to treat myself - it never disappoints. The crepes are paper-thin and sandwich a light filling. Plus, it comes with a tart raspberry compote topping that complements how sweet the cake is. Other items for munching include quiche, crumpets, toast, and bagels. Their drink menu is varied with specialty coffees, teas, juices, smoothies, bubble teas, and Italian soda. These are listed on their menu board to the right of the countertop and display case, where you are greeted by a friendly face when placing an order. I typically take my order to go, but there is available seating indoors and limited seating outdoors. It's the perfect venue for their monthly board game night with Morningside Area Community Council, which is free to everyone and no pre-registration is required.

I love a dirty chai and the fact that they had it as a listed option on the menu let me know it was going to be so good, and it was! The prices are what you expect, around $6 for a dirty chai with oat milk, and the quality was awesome.
A friend lives in walking distance, and I scored one of the four parking spaces right in front. Almost missing the building being nestled between other small buildings, I almost drove right passed it. The very welcoming staff helped orient me on my first visit. You order at the counter, and the food was quickly served at a bistro sized table for two. For the size of the space, there are surprisingly abundant places to sit. Though everyone spoke quietly because you're so close to everyone else. I very much enjoyed the favors of their signature toast dish. Another gem located in the Morningside neighborhood!
I stopped in for a late lunch, and I'm so glad that I did! The coffee, and quiche + side salad were both amazing! There are so many things here to try, fresh squeezed juice, and amazing looking pastries! I was working in the neighborhood, and was really glad to sit here and check some e mails. It was very quiet here, and beautifully decorated. I can't wait to come back!
This was a find that we was looking for I can't express how happy I am with this cafe!! The owner/barista was so helpful in picking or drinks to also grabbing some great pastries. If you find yourself on morningside definitely stop by and checkout this staple!! We had a special latte that was on and the Dirty Chai Latte and the dirty chai is a top 3 of all time for me so it is a must try in my opinion The Honey corn cake is also a must try the sweetness of it will want you to get the whole cake The one thing that is always a must for me is the ambiance of a coffee shop it needs to be a place where people can converse and just feel at home and Ka Fair is all of that and then some.
I stopped by here earlier today with my wife for our morning coffee. On Sundays we try to hit up local coffee places and on this Sunday our choice happened to be KaFair Cafe. It was actually the second time that we had been there. Both times you could tell it was a very local coffee shop with a bunch of old timer regulars congregating both inside and out. It has a number of tables inside and on this morning there were about 10 or so people whenever I got there. Besides the area to order, they also had a pastry display case and then a dessert display case as well. The sign said their speciality was a crepe cake and I have to admit that it looked inviting with its pastel colors. For our drinks on this morning both my wife and I went with one of their seasonal specialties, the peppermint latte. It ended up being an interesting drink as it seemed like their normal latte only with whipped cream and smashed up peppermint candies on top. On my first sip, all I could taste was the coffee and the milk which I will say was still good. There was a good proportion of both coffee and milk with the bold flavor of the coffee coming through. Even after swirling it around my cup a bit and getting the whipped cream to melt, I didn't get the peppermint flavor. It was only after the peppermint candy had melted into the drink that I could really taste and enjoy it. Even though this wasn't ideal, I did appreciate that they didn't use a syrup and also that the peppermint flavor wasn't overwhelming. My wife didn't get to her latte until after everything had melted and throughly enjoyed it. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. I enjoyed my coffees both times I was here and would love to try their crepe cake too.
Tried my first ever Orange Frespresso and it was the weirdest and most refreshing drink on a beautiful day! If you're a fan of coffee tonic, I think you'd like it! We also had the crepe cake with raspberry preserves and an iced americano. Can't wait to come back and try more!
This place is so cute! They're takeout only during covid, but you can sit by their garage door bar or their outdoor tables. I came to try their crepe cakes, and they did not disappoint. They only had the matcha crepe cake when I came. There's the option to add chocolate sauce, and it's soooo good! I didn't care for the decaf americano. I would come back to try more crepe cake and some of the other drinks.
Ka-Fair has been recommended to me by 2 different people that doesn't live in the morningside. So it's nice that this place is recognized even if you're not a local. Very Nice coffee shop with many coffee options. The ladies are very friendly and accommodating. Since it was my first time here it took me a little longer to review the options. It has a very homey, comfortable vibe when you enter. Enough seating to accommodate a few groups of 2. If you're in the morningside or highland park area, it is walking distance. Our drinks were very good. My iced macchiato was strong. If you're a coffee lover, you would love that. Can't wait to come back again. read more

I came in on a Sunday morning. It's a cute neighborhood vibes and I found parking with ease out front. I ordered matcha latte and asked for a recommendation on the crepe cake. They pointed me to the mango. The matcha latte was lovely. Not sweet allowing the matcha flavor to come through. The mango cake was amazing. Light and delicious. I sat inside to read. It is a smaller space so once a group came in to chat over coffee, I made my way outside. There's only a small table out front but that worked for my purpose. read more

A very pleasant coffee store in the Area, cosy with the vaults also spaces to enjoy your coffee. Aommie who served us was cheerful and fun and the coffee really was good on this watery winter day. The salad is was super fresh. I love crumpets is was great! I highly recommend crepe cake.- it looked good. Art on distant is also for sale. Overall a lovely Coffee shop. read more

This is my new favorite breakfast brunch spot located in one cute neighborhood Morningside where you can find rows of Hulley houses with their neat porches KaFair went the extra step to create a soothing vibe. Motivational quotes soothing tiny fountains great space to sit and sip. There are a couple of little tables to sit outside.Their menu features coffees of course. When I saw bubble tea on their menu I had to try. Their squishy chewy bubbles in milk tea did not disappoint. Served in a glass measuring cup first time I ever drank my beloved beverage out of glass I swear it tastes better. I had their crumpets (sort of a thicker English muffin) served with fresh fruit including a whole banana and a little cup of honey. Makes for a delish buttery hearty breakfast. I saw others enjoying their fresh juices and their crepe cake which I must try on my next visit. Service super friendly Prices reasonable considering the amount and quality Worth the drive from my side of the city I'll be back When everyone finds this place I could see street parking might become more difficult read more

The ambiance is absolutely lovely! Cute and quaint in a neighborhood setting. I went to order one drink but they were out of a syrup/powder so I ordered a different drink that tasted great if not a little milky with too much ice. The crumpets, avocado bagel, and banana muffin tasted absolutely delicious! The crepe cake was okay but I wouldn't order again. Overall worth visiting!! read more
This place is adorable. We kind of found it by accident,but glad we did. The menu is more coffee shop like than cafe but this toast they're serving up is delicious. It's literally a flavor explosion and it's also very filling. Also the price of their teas is extremely good. Usually a thai iced tea costs between 3.50 and 4.50 for 12 oz but for $3 you even get more here. The crepe cake was very good but I wanted a little more sweetness. A lot of people were ordering the quiche so I'll be back. read more

A really cool new spot in Morningside. After quite awhile, they finally opened. The space itself is very cozy and nicely decorated. They have a great drink selection, obviously lots of coffee. Their drip coffee was excellent. I didn't have any of their food but everything I saw others eating looked great, planning on coming back to try something. Products are perhaps a bit overpriced but, in the spirit of supporting a small business, it's worth it. Definitely worth checking out. read more
This was a very sweet spot with excellent service. I wanted to try the crepe cake so much, but it was breakfast time so I got the toast like a responsible adult. Gratefully, it was delicious. Samin Nosrat would have been proud. It was the most interesting mix of salt, fat, acid, and heat; it was super unique and delicious. That was one toast and the other was Brie melted with a nice sweet jam on top. The side salad added, as the amazing CHOPPED judges would say, a nice fresh relief. The coffee was great too. read more

This place finally opened up on Wednesday and my boyfriend and I have been so excited to try it! We've been continually checking their Instagram (@kafair_cafe) to see what new amazing menu items have popped up.... and wow. We had high expectations and these two ladies exceeded them all. I started off with one of their cold-pressed juices, the aptly titled Green Wake-Up. It had celery, green apples, lime and a splash of honey. They brought it over to us in a glass bottle with an ice-filled glass cup on a cute little tray (see photos!) Honestly, I didn't even feel like I was drinking something healthy--it was THAT yummy. We've done our rounds at all the juice bar type Pittsburgh places and this drink was just as good, if not better, than others we've had. Moving on to what my boyfriend ordered, the orange freshpresso! It wasn't on the menu but we'd seen it, and salivated over it, on their Instagram account. They were super sweet and laughed that they'd forgotten to put it on the menu. The orange juice was squeezed fresh just for him and poured into an ice-filled glass (again, see photos!) On the same tray, a cup of espresso was placed and they explained that you pour it in and mix it around. No added sugar or milk, etc. It was... to die for. Simple but unique, it was the perfect drink for a hot summer morning. The caffeine gave a nice kick and the fresh orange juice was refreshing. Definitely something we'll try to recreate at home when we can't make it here. TRY THIS IF NOTHING ELSE!! We were both unsure of how the two would pair together but they definitely know what they're doing here. The espresso by itself was also well-done according to my Italian boyfriend. The last thing we ordered was a piece of the crepe cake. All I really need to say here is that I've been talking about it for the last hour and half since we gobbled it all up. Not too sweet that you feel bad after eating it, but sweet enough that it satisfies a sweet tooth. This is one of those desserts that you can easily eat on a full stomach--it's light and airy! It's well worth the order and I know I'll be craving this specific cake soon!! The women working are very sweet and you can tell they're having a blast. Working hard and serving up amazing menu items--definitely give this a try even if it takes a little drive. THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH! read more
The cafe is small, but has a cute atmosphere (nice decor!) and is a quiet place to hang out with a friend or read a book. The espresso drinks were too light for my taste, but I really enjoyed the one-of-a-kind ham toast. You have to try it to understand that it isn't just ordinary toast. Each ingredient + the sauce seemed very carefully chosen to complement each other. All together, it was very flavorful - my friend didn't enjoy the strong taste as much, but it's a taste that I'd probably come back for. read more

This place is fantastic! Awesome menu, I couldn't decide so I left with two drinks and some crumpets - all for me! The cold brew was great, and I got a fresh squeezed good morning juice which was also fantastic. However, my real excitement is about these crumpets. Usually I can only find the packaged cold ones at the grocery store but not these babies, they were REAL. I think they tasted great, but I can't be sure because I INHALED them. So freaking good. They came with butter, honey, and lots of fresh fruit. (I was impressed by the fruit, I thought it would be a garnish but it was a whole fruit salad.) I can't wait to go back and try more things. Also, very friendly service. (When I got to the window, she immediately knew the order of someone who walked up at the same time, and that always impresses me. I sometimes can't remember my own family members names.) read more
