This coffee shop is located in downtown Evans City, and we have been to its sister shop at Meeder before. Parking was a bit rough on this day due to construction, but thankfully we grabbed the last available spot before my son and I headed inside. The shop itself is bright and has plenty of seating. At the counter there is a display case full of pastries, and after looking over the menu I decided to go with a hot Wedding Cake Latte while I also ordered my wife an iced Mochanut. Mine was described as vanilla and almond, while my wife's was described as chocolate and coconut. Since my son was with me, I also picked up mini donuts for him and a cookie for my daughter. My coffee here ended up being good. I appreciated the almond flavor, and I liked that I could still taste the espresso on the finish rather than having it completely covered by the flavorings. My wife also enjoyed her drink, especially the combination of chocolate and coconut, and both of my kids were happy with their donut and cookie respectively. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. My whole family enjoyed what we got, and I would be interested in trying more of their menu.

Following my AM bus drop-off, I made a beeline to Brewed Awakening and OH MY GOODNESS, you guys! The coconut cream pie cold brew literally tastes like you're drinking a pie! They even have 32 oz cups which was perfect for my depletion of energy this morning (newborn Momma probs, haha)! It's located in Sewickley on Walnut street right off Broadway. The shop itself is tiny and whenever I got inside there was a cop and a lady with a dog. The 3 (or 4) of us filled up the waiting/ordering area. There was a freezer case filled with Leona's ice cream sandwiches and then a display cooler with cold drinks in it. Lastly they had a clear shelf on the counter with some muffins in it. I was a little sad it wasn't filled with the pastries I had seen photos of, but I guess it wasn't the right day. After looking at the menu I decided to order a 16 oz Cuban while my wife went with a 12 oz mocha. Since the others had already been waited on, it took only a few minutes and we had our coffees and were on our way. My Cuban ended up being quite good as it had the perfect amount of sweetness to it that it complimented the milk and coffee without overpowering it. Then the coffee itself was strong and rich while the milk did it's part. My wife also really enjoyed her mocha from here. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. Both of our coffees were good and i hope that the next time that we stop by that they have some pastries as well.

I love when my coffee is made at a high temperature and I don't know anyone who prefers that, but clearly the baristas make their drinks at the "right" temperature. There is a very little room once inside. I was one of 3 patrons there but it was fine for me and they make their drinks pretty fast. I will come back again and try their other drink items.

They raised the rental price from the original quote and later added a $175 cleaning fee that hadn't been discussed--we ended up taking all the garbage with us to avoid that charge. There was also a clear disconnect in communication between the owners. Nick was pleasant and would tell us one thing, but his wife would contradict him and seemed annoyed. Overall, they didn't seem happy to have us there, which added unnecessary stress to what should have been a celebratory experience. They also threw out a bowl my hostess left behind (and inquired about quickly after) and were not apologetic. The shower turned out lovely, but that was in spite of the venue's management. I wouldn't recommend booking private events here unless communication and professionalism improve significantly.
