The best coffee and breakfast place in Sewickley! Worth every Penny. I've never had anything I didn't like here. Place is very clean and staff is so nice.

Love the roasted beet salad. The Turkish eggs are overcooked, like hard boiled... so that was disappointed. Bread selection and pastries are always good!

Love this place - despite its bougie, somewhat pretentious Sewickley vibe. It's pretty inside - kind of NYC cool. Coffee is always good. The sandwiches and "toasts" are always good. I was just in and tried the grilled portobello sammie--- yummo, gooey mozz & a juicy grilled portobello. Arugula adds some spice. No clue what the bread was, but it was obviously fresh and flavorful. It was so crowded - I chose an outdoor seat. Not the greatest choice - cuz the table space is narrow and the sidewalk traffic comes quite close in an effort to squeeze by. I normally order the avocado toast, but i would def get this sandwich again. I got a to-go chicken salad sandwich for my hubs - which the woman at the counter said was her fave. He really enjoyed it. The white meat is plentiful - with grapes and pecans - yum! We'll be back.

Mediterra cafe is now one of my favorite brunch places. The place is super busy around weekend brunch hours, but we were lucky enough to get a table. There are not many tables as the place is more like a cafe than sit down brunch place, thus larger parties should come with the expectation of a wait in mind. Food was exceptional. It hit all the criteria I have for good food: original menu items, beautiful presentation, layered flavors, quality cooking. My favorite was the Turkish eggs and Hojicha. I've never had Turkish eggs anywhere else, and I really enjoyed the spicy oil mixed in with Greek yogurt. It did not sound that appetizing but turned out to be amazing. Big fan of hojicha but haven't really found it at other cafes, reminds me of the blue bottle version of hojicha. Will definitely be returning just for the hojicha if I am ever passing by. The cafe also had a wide selection of bakery items, which I am looking forward to trying next time!!

    House Cured Salmon Toast

We came early Saturday morning, and that was the move because we beat the rush and enjoyed so many good things! My salmon toast was huge, delicious, and packed with flavor. There was nice acid from the citrus salmon, a literal pop from the trout roe, crunch from delicious sourdough (I asked for sourdough over pumpernickel) and cucumber, and lovely savory notes from the labneh. It also took up my whole plate!! My wife loved her breakfast of champions. It's traditional breakfast fare, but well done. I got a loaf of sourdough to go. And the gluten free dairy free chocolate chip cookie was so flavorful. Had good depth of flavor for a chocolate chip cookie. We love this place, and it was the perfect start to a weekend! Come early to beat the rush and to enjoy the relaxing vibes.

I would eat here every single day if I lived in Pittsburgh, not exaggerating. They have healthy options that taste great, a beautiful interior, and incredible staff. 10/10 an absolute travesty that they don't have more yelp reviews. Absolutely come and visit!

Pretty good food! I do think it's a bit pricey, but it's fresh and well made breaky/brunch. The place is a little small so it can get crowded quick, and service was great, the staff is super kind, but there we some hiccups with my orders. Probably because it was busy, great overall!!!!

I really like the atmosphere, service was great, and the calm casual home-dining like cafe feel was welcoming. The Sewickley location has a lot of nearby parking lots and street parking convenient. This was my first visit to meet friends, I heard it can get pretty busy but was later Sunday afternoon and just the right time. I had cocktails and avocado toast. I gotta be honest I wasn't a fan of the overloaded cherry tomatoes on the toast, it was all I could taste and took over the flavor for me - other than that had a great time and look forward to trying different foods another visit.

This was one of the best lunches I've had in a LONG time. The chick pea salad was DELICIOUS! Such a huge serving size for $15, the dressing was perfect, cheese so soft and creamy, plus the croutons were fresh and soft. Quick service once we ordered and the staff also came around to clear our table when we were done. So many little things to purchase in the store, love the vibe in the cafe. Can't wait to go back and go to other locations!

Disclaimer, this is solely based off pastries and not the actual food I've gone here 4 times and have never once been disappointed with what I've got The cruffins are always a go to. They have specials on them always. I've had the eggnog, pumpkin and strawberry margarita. The exterior is always cooked to perfection covered in cinnamon sugar and never lacking with filling. If you don't have a large appetite you can easily split with someone Their bread is also really SOLID and grabbed for my family and they all loved. The coffee isn't really knock you out. I've had the eggnog latte and gingerbread bread and they were ehhh. The store is always so clean and has a very family friendly atmosphere mixed with hipster. There's a bunch of cabinet supplies like spreads, chocolates, peanut butter, seasonings, etc. when waiting inline that pulls you in When you order you get a number and sit at your table and they bring the food. Everyone is always friendly and makes coming back an easy decision

It's located in Sewickley on Walnut street right off Broadway. The shop itself is tiny and whenever I got inside there was a cop and a lady with a dog. The 3 (or 4) of us filled up the waiting/ordering area. There was a freezer case filled with Leona's ice cream sandwiches and then a display cooler with cold drinks in it. Lastly they had a clear shelf on the counter with some muffins in it. I was a little sad it wasn't filled with the pastries I had seen photos of, but I guess it wasn't the right day. After looking at the menu I decided to order a 16 oz Cuban while my wife went with a 12 oz mocha. Since the others had already been waited on, it took only a few minutes and we had our coffees and were on our way. My Cuban ended up being quite good as it had the perfect amount of sweetness to it that it complimented the milk and coffee without overpowering it. Then the coffee itself was strong and rich while the milk did it's part. My wife also really enjoyed her mocha from here. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. Both of our coffees were good and i hope that the next time that we stop by that they have some pastries as well.

I didn't have my gift cards with me today but decided it was time to treat myself anyway. I had the Cappuccino- it was strong and hot! I love when my coffee is made at a high temperature and I don't know anyone who prefers that, but clearly the baristas make their drinks at the "right" temperature. There is a very little room once inside. I was one of 3 patrons there but it was fine for me and they make their drinks pretty fast. I will come back again and try their other drink items.

We were first time customers, and he made us feel right at home. My sister and I came here for breakfast and a coffee before starting our day. We ordered one of each breakfast sandwich because they all sounded to good to pass up. Our overall favorite was the Our Breakfast Sandwich. All the flavors were delicious together, but the basil mayo and the homemade bread were the stars. The house made bacon jam on the Breakfast Panini was some of the best I have ever had. It was mostly bacon, and not all jam like others I have tried, which really gave it that homemade touch. The Multigrain Panini was the most mild out of the three, but still full of flavor. The freshly brewed coffee was rich and smooth. The café is mostly takeout, but we were able to sit inside at the bar top which faced a large window. In the fridge and freezers, there are homemade soups, meatballs, bread, and more. These would be a perfect option for a quick, quality family dinner. If you are in a rush, there is an option to order on the website for seamless pickup. I can not wait to come back and try their lunch and dinner options.

They only have two tables and a few barstools along the window for indoor dining, but did mention that customers often take their food across the street to the coffee shop to enjoy when space isn't available. We were able to utilize the table for two. We both ordered the Italian wedding soup, a cup for $6 each, and two sandwiches. I went with the spicy Italian on their homemade bun and my friend got the turkey pesto panini. We both enjoyed the soup and she devoured her sandwich. Unfortunately, I didn't love mine as much as I had hoped. The sandwich was cold, which isn't necessarily a problem, but the bun itself was chilled, dense, soft white bread. After picking the sandwich up a couple of times, the bun became wrinkled and slightly off-putting. I'm sure there are a lot of people who love these buns, but it wasn't the combo for me. I'd try something on sourdough or focaccia next time.
