Peach pie, cinnamon roll, and jam
    Tiffany Y.

3.5 stars overall. Loafers Bread Company has three locations in the Pittsburgh area, and I visited this location in Wexford. They bake their breads and desserts in-house daily so they are fresh. Their bread schedule varies by season and day. About several flavors are available per day, and the cost is about several dollars per loaf. Their desserts vary in price, but an example is a pie for $16. When I visited on a Saturday afternoon, most of their breads were already sold out, so I bought what they had in stock. Here are my reviews for those foods: Peach pie - 3 stars - The crust was flaky and tasty, but I thought that the peach was a little sour. Cinnamon roll - 4.5 stars - This cinnamon roll was large, and it contained a good amount of cinnamon with a drizzle of icing. Strawberry jam - 1 star - Please note that a *different* company made this jam, and Loafers just sold it. I am giving this jam one star because it contained mold. Hours after I had bought the jam and taken it home, I removed the lid, and I saw mold growing on top. Customer service - 4.5 stars - In the store, the employees immediately and kindly greeted me, and they looked for a jar of jam in my preferred flavor. I saw them cleaning the store, and they wished me a good day. When I later noticed the mold in the jam, I emailed the business. Within minutes, the owner replied. He apologized, and he explained that the canning company's jams sometimes spoil. He offered either a refund or a replacement if I returned the jar to the store. Unfortunately, I probably will not be able to visit this store again anytime soon, because I live several miles away, and their hours are not the most convenient for me, especially with the holidays on the weekends.

Chicken Salad on white bread (bite taken out)

Got a chicken salad sandwich on white bread and a cup of wedding soup, total was $17.63. The chicken salad tasted good but the sandwich was very unsubstantial overall for the price. Bread was thin cut and not very moist, and it was smashed making the sandwich even smaller. I'm glad I didn't ask for half a sandwich because that wouldn't even be a full meal. If it was an overall bigger sandwich on some nice thick pieces of a high quality bread, and the soup cup size was bigger than a 1/2 cup it would be worth the 17.63. Will not be returning due to the outrageous prices.

Caesar salad now made with spinach?

Sadly very disappointed with this place. Went in and got a salad today. Looked like something I could have gotten from Wendy's. Ken's dressing is "our special Caesar dressing??" Was hoping the baked goods I purchased would redeem the food. The actual roll I had with the salad was great bread but that's all I can say. Tiramisu scone was extremely bland.

Creamy tomato basil and kielbasa gumbo

I love Loafers for the specialty breads, and now that I have sampled more than just the breads and sweet treats, I would definitely return for a quick, casual lunch. My mom always buys the pumpkin and chocolate chip pumpkin loaves for Thanksgiving. These are delicious and highly recommended! Perfect with a dollop of whipped cream for a lighter after dinner dessert. The lemon blueberry pound cake is also tasty and goes well with summer BBQ food. Macaroons here are also superb and perfect for a light snack. My mom also frequently buys challah for Shabbat but it's also perfect for Sunday French toast! I love when she brings a loaf down to me in DC! My mom and I stopped in for lunch with my son the other day. We came in around 1:30 and it was still pretty crowded. We both chose a "pick 2" combo with a cup of soup and 1/2 sandwich. My mom had the creamy tomato basil and tuna fish. She enjoyed both. I had the kielbasa sausage soup and a roasted turkey sandwich. The soup had a nice kick to it thanks to jalapeños. There was plenty of spiced sausage too. I had the roasted turkey on multigrain with lettuce, tomato, onion, banana pepper, and horseradish sauce. The multigrain was soft with a little crunch and the turkey was hand carved and fresh. I love horseradish sauce and this was no exception-very creamy with that sinus-clearing quality. All sandwiches comes with pickles too. There's always a sandwich and soup of the day. As for soda it's coke products but they also have bottled Snapple and peach and unsweetened tea. I enjoyed my meal and would definitely have lunch here again if I were in the area.

It was wonderful to see the kind of atmosphere Cafe Conmigo has cultivated here...so welcoming! The barista's were very friendly and seemed to have great energy! I had the lemon ginger honey loose-leaf tea, and gosh it was the BEST tea I've ever had in my life! I really enjoy how they have reusable glassware for enjoying items inside the cafe--their super cute mug is pictured here. I'm honestly super excited to go back! I loved how I was greeted and how it felt welcoming + how many things they offer outside of the drinks. They sell plants and other cute little items (esp Pittsburgh themed). Seating was super cool but I sadly needed an outlet and had to reserve at a larger table as the smaller ones were full. I love how the plants and the environment gives a nice work space without it being too overwhelming. I felt comfortable though I felt a bit weird being at a larger table for being 1 person. (I also went in the afternoon about 1.5 hours before they closed). Now let's get into the food and the drink which is probably the highlight of the visit. I am a huge, let me say huge again, matcha snob. I know the best of the best and I get so nervous trying other shop's matchas but I was really blown away with how good this tasted. It wasn't too sweet or too "greeny" and the quality tasted really good compared to other places I have been too. I did get lavender as a flavor shot because some shops are either a hit or a miss with lavender (or any flavor where you can't taste it). I could definitely taste the lavender in here and it was really refreshing. To the gluten free community, this muffin was so good. I wish I remembered the name of who made it but it wasn't too sweet for being a muffin and was really good especially warmed. I felt like I was enjoying a balance of both sweet and refreshing than an overkill. I am also one of those people that would put chocolate with my matcha and possibly lavender as it combines really well. I definitely want to come back and try their coffee drinks as I'm curious about it. Another positive is their parking and getting out of the lot isn't so scary as there is a light and you don't have to risk your life trying to cut across the highway to get where you're going. The only complaint I would have, though it was a lovely treat, is that the pricing seemed a lot higher than what I'm used to paying at other local coffee shops. I felt like $1 for non-dairy milk is odd when a lot of other shops charge either 0 to .50 cents max and I felt like the drink overall was more pricey than if I went to another shop for a matcha. I don't know how often I will be back but it was nice to try it. (Gluten free stuff is always pricey so I can't complain about that..)

By no means was it bad but it was definitely not as good as the event. A ham and apple sandwich was good very light so don't be too hungry if you order it or maybe order a extra side of something I enjoyed the apple I feel like it really added to the sandwich. The scramble was all right, not necessarily my taste, but there was nothing exclusively wrong with it. The bread tasted really fresh though. I ordered a chocolate chip cookie as a sweet treat to go, however, I didn't finish it because it was dry and lack flavor. The reason it's getting four stars instead of three is definitely the ambience being able to enjoy my meal in the greenhouse is definitely the biggest flex they have. It's so beautiful and even though it was a cold day, I was good. I did see that they have blankets in case it's extra cold for your convenience which I appreciated. I would come back for the ambience of the greenhouse and giving the food one more try before I strictly go for greenery.
