I liked the displays of sandwiches. Everything tasted very well but was a little stale.

Mango Smoothie, empty plate because food was so good

The food was incredible! I ate it so fast I didn't have time to take a picture. I will be coming back for more. The staff is so friendly, very accommodating to any needs. They work very fast and efficiently.

While it was my first time at this location, I've grown up going to Paris Baguettes in nyc and Philly and love the quality of their pastries - I would have one of their cakes for my bday every year! This one is no exception. Super clean, great variety, although it is a bit on the pricier end which is to be expected. All the pastries are in glass cases, you have to grab a tray and tongs, and from there you can select your desired pastries from the cabinets. Bring your tray to the cashier at the back and they will ring all of it up/ package it nicely to bring home or set it up for you to eat there! Some items you can request to be toasted if it applies. If you've never tried a mochi donut, their cake slices, and other fruit based pastries - I highly recommend! Their matches and coffees are pretty good as well. Also, this is a nice treat to pick up post shopping at the mall!

Self serve for pastries. Cake selection was a bit picked over for a Friday evening, but they did restock after I ordered. Coffee was really hot, and good enough. Would go back.

Another great bakery spot in the North Hills. I love the cases full of pastries, donuts, croissants, savory items, and so much more. Fill a tray and devour! Apple tart, chocolate mochi donut, and fruit tart were delicious! My wife loved the chocolate croissant. There is so much more to try so we will be back. There aren't many hot items, but you pick those in the Market Fresh and get them heated. I got egg and cheese on a salted roll. It was fantastic.... No picture - I was hungry. They also run a lot of deals - we spent just over $30 and got $5 off. Check the app! Very reasonable for a lot of food and coffee.

I was previously familiar with this global bakery chain from New York City and was excited when we got a location in the Pittsburgh area. Although I live in the South Hills, I am in the North Hills often and have stopped by this location several times now. It's very fun to see what types of beautiful pastries and cakes they have available. The selection is always evolving. On this visit I got three pastries. One was the type of cream-filled circular croissant you see making a splash on Instagram. They had strawberry and pistachio versions of that and I got the pistachio. I also got a decadent looking coffee doughnut and a more simple Palmier. I wanted to take something to my mom who is more of a cake person; alongside the full cakes available for purchase they had a handful of varieties in slice form and I chose a tiramisu slice. A pastry here will cost you between $4-5 and a cake slice $7-8, so it's easy to spend a good amount here, but they are very nice treats. I really enjoyed the pistachio croissant although I didn't see why the inside pistachio cream had to have bright green food coloring. Sometimes less is more and I would've rather have had a more natural coloring to the filling. The coffee doughnut was filled with a very moist, almost wet coffee filling, delicious but something best eaten quickly. The palmier was light, elegant tasting and delicious. The cake slice was a big hit. I would absolutely get a full cake here for a celebration; they are beautiful and feel special.

Turkey avocado sandwich, tiramisu torte, and Dubai matcha latte

This was a nice and needed addition to The Block Northway - so many delicious pastries, tortes, cakes, macaroons. The sandwich I got was fresh, with crisp vegetables and avocado. The tiramisu tort was nice too, with suble filling but a rich, delicious coffee / cocoa crust. The Dubai Chocolate matcha latte was a special limited-time drink there were offering, topped with ingredients that you'd find in a Dubai chocolate bar (delicious but so rich I couldn't finish). You can also buy slices of cake / cheesecake or entire ones too. Really nice place and suggest you visit if you haven't already.

I really want to like this place more! If I could give it 3 and a half, I would. The layout is just very overwhelming for me. It feels very crowded, and I understand this is at no fault to the owner or staff, as I know it's a chain and I'm sure the other stores are similarly designed. The door to the kitchen is also adjacent to the line you stand in to check out, which just makes things hectic when staff are bringing out huge trays of pastries. I am however super excited that they finally just released online ordering in their app. Going to try ordering online next time to avoid the inside chaos, as it's always been quite busy and overwhelming when it comes to choosing what you want and finding a seat. Huge selection of pastries and gourmet cakes. I highly recommend checking out the menu before going to get an idea of what they have. Everything from mochi donuts, danishes, pastry hot dogs, croissants, and more. They even have a little refrigerated section that offers premade salads, sandwiches, wraps, and drinks. You can also order different coffee drinks at the counter. Their gourmet cakes look absolutely amazing. Perfect for celebrating a birthday or special occasion. Everything I have tried has been good so far. The cream cheese donut was kind of weird (mostly hollow inside with a little bit of cream cheese). My favorites so far are the broccoli cheddar quiche and the fruit pastry. Go earlier in the day to have the best chance at getting what you want! The supply starts to dwindle the later it gets, which is understandable. Overall I'm willing to give this a third try now that they are offering online ordering.

This is a great place filled with all sorts of pastries donuts a few sandwiches and of course they have baguettes The concept take a tray use tongs pick your pastries the baguettes are up on top of the case by the front door almost like an after thought they also have coffees hot and cold the vibe is back and white its clearly a well managed chain the price of a typical single pastry is about $5 its not cheap everything I had was fresh the croissant is ok not the best I ever had there are some beautiful looking cakes in the cases they will set you back over $40 maybe one day easy enough parking it is the front of the mall

Baked goods from my 2nd visit

Paris Baguette is a global bakery chain, and this particular Paris Baguette in Ross Township recently opened. I visited this restaurant on a busy Saturday. I saw several display cases of baked goods and sandwiches. I took a tray and tongs, and I selected the baked goods that I wanted. The cakes were in a separate display case that required an employee to assist me. This restaurant also offered coffees and other beverages, but I did not buy any of them. The cashier rang up my purchase and put my baked goods into a box. I noticed that the cake employee and the cashier performed their jobs but could have said hello and smiled. The restaurant contained some tables and chairs, but I ate my eight baked goods at home. The crab-meat croquette was a good size and contained a decent amount of crab meat for costing only $4.29. My husband thought that the 4-cheese quiche and the cinnamon-apple pie were good. I liked my pastel de nata, fruit pastry, pain aux raisins, strawberry-mochi donut, and maple-pecan layer cake. Each baked good cost about $4, and the slice of cake cost $7. I would return to this Paris Baguette so I could try more desserts.

Turkey pannini
Kathryn F.

I thought it was located by Aldi's. Nope it is next to Blaze Pizza location. I arrived mid day. A lot of the pastry trays were empty. I saw people getting trays and tongs. Most of the pastries are self serve. There are refrigerated sandwich and pastries sections. I chose the turkey panini and fruit tart. The cashier "heated" up my panini ... it wasn't hot. The pastry box was a statement piece. The fruit tart was good. It was a soft opening. Some kinks need worked out. A lot of the employees weren't fluent in English but were trying hard to please the customers. Turkey sandwich + fruit tart = $21 Large parking lot

This was my first time visiting. My family has been here before but I've never been. My family really enjoyed this place so I wanted to check it out. Kind of interesting, walk in, grab a tray and tongs and pick out what you want. You can eat in or take out. They also have the availability to purchase online as well. Apparently it's a chain, but I've never heard of it before. They have a very nice selection of things from baked goods to savory items. We picked out numerous things to bring home from savory to sweet. One thing I picked was a pastry had arugula, goat cheese, bacon and pecans that is suggested to eat warm. My son loved it, me not as much. We had pecan tarts, baguettes, Dubai mochi donuts, cinnamon twists, etc. All were good. I will say that the online selection didn't have all that was actually available in the store. I really want to go back and try some more things. Prices weren't bad, but maybe a little bit higher than the other bakeries nearby.

I live 40+ mins away and haven't heard of this place til today but it's exactly my kind of spot :) Many good-looking options and nice environment to hang out! Friendly staff as well

I stopped by here a couple of Sundays ago with my wife. We were actually headed to Marshall's at the Block at Northway whenever we happened to spot this truck just outside. Since it is a food truck, there's not much to say about it other than it was parked on the sidewalk and had a sign up advertising their specials. Other than that I noticed a sign in the window saying that they sold Defer coffee which I appreciated since it is both local and good. Since there was no line I immediately proceeded up to the window and was able to place my order for a oatmilk latte. The oatmilk itself was only an extra $.75 which I feel like is a fair price for such an upgrade. In any case after only a minute or two wait I had my coffee and was on my way. Whenever I finally was able to taste it I will admit that I was happy with it. The coffee itself had a deep and rich flavor to it while the oatmilk had a strong oat flavor. Those two items were in proportion to each and played nicely together. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. I thought that my coffee here was good and liked the idea of a coffee food truck.

We ordered a 12-ounce Chai Latte and an 8-ounce Hot Apple Cider. I tried to order a smoothie, but the employee told me that they had no bananas so could not make the smoothie. We used our Capital One credit card to get 50% off our beverages, so I recommend using that promotion if you have such a card. The total price for both beverages was only about $5 plus tax and tip. I loved how I was greeted and how it felt welcoming + how many things they offer outside of the drinks. They sell plants and other cute little items (esp Pittsburgh themed). Seating was super cool but I sadly needed an outlet and had to reserve at a larger table as the smaller ones were full. I love how the plants and the environment gives a nice work space without it being too overwhelming. I felt comfortable though I felt a bit weird being at a larger table for being 1 person. (I also went in the afternoon about 1.5 hours before they closed). Now let's get into the food and the drink which is probably the highlight of the visit. I am a huge, let me say huge again, matcha snob. I know the best of the best and I get so nervous trying other shop's matchas but I was really blown away with how good this tasted. It wasn't too sweet or too "greeny" and the quality tasted really good compared to other places I have been too. I did get lavender as a flavor shot because some shops are either a hit or a miss with lavender (or any flavor where you can't taste it). I could definitely taste the lavender in here and it was really refreshing. To the gluten free community, this muffin was so good. I wish I remembered the name of who made it but it wasn't too sweet for being a muffin and was really good especially warmed. I felt like I was enjoying a balance of both sweet and refreshing than an overkill. I am also one of those people that would put chocolate with my matcha and possibly lavender as it combines really well. I definitely want to come back and try their coffee drinks as I'm curious about it. Another positive is their parking and getting out of the lot isn't so scary as there is a light and you don't have to risk your life trying to cut across the highway to get where you're going. The only complaint I would have, though it was a lovely treat, is that the pricing seemed a lot higher than what I'm used to paying at other local coffee shops. I felt like $1 for non-dairy milk is odd when a lot of other shops charge either 0 to .50 cents max and I felt like the drink overall was more pricey than if I went to another shop for a matcha. I don't know how often I will be back but it was nice to try it. (Gluten free stuff is always pricey so I can't complain about that..)
