They offer a large assortment of delicious looking pastries displayed in glass cases. You grab a tray and tongs, select what you want and then head up front to checkout. Simple and efficient. Having driven by many times, we decided to stop in and give it a try. We are glad we did! Entering into a clean, well lit store front, you will see all of your choices displayed neatly in the cases. It does have a little bit of a European feel to it. The staff is very friendly and were always patient with us and helpful. It is self serve. But, they will heat up your choice. Some of the items are marked Best Toasted. Everything is fresh, and the crescents are light and airy. Everything was very tasty. I will not hesitate coming back! While it was my first time at this location, I've grown up going to Paris Baguettes in nyc and Philly and love the quality of their pastries - I would have one of their cakes for my bday every year! This one is no exception. Super clean, great variety, although it is a bit on the pricier end which is to be expected. All the pastries are in glass cases, you have to grab a tray and tongs, and from there you can select your desired pastries from the cabinets. Bring your tray to the cashier at the back and they will ring all of it up/ package it nicely to bring home or set it up for you to eat there! Some items you can request to be toasted if it applies. If you've never tried a mochi donut, their cake slices, and other fruit based pastries - I highly recommend! Their matches and coffees are pretty good as well. This specific location is at the Block at Northway which is conveniently located off of McKnight Road and has plenty of parking outside. I have been a few times and their pastries are really delicious. In particular I love: - Croissant - Strawberry croissant - Pain au chocolat - Coffee Danish - Fruit Pastry - Very Berry Pastry Most of the times I've gone there has been a line but it always moves really quickly. I was previously familiar with this global bakery chain from New York City and was excited when we got a location in the Pittsburgh area. Although I live in the South Hills, I am in the North Hills often and have stopped by this location several times now. It's very fun to see what types of beautiful pastries and cakes they have available. The selection is always evolving. On this visit I got three pastries. One was the type of cream-filled circular croissant you see making a splash on Instagram. They had strawberry and pistachio versions of that and I got the pistachio. I also got a decadent looking coffee doughnut and a more simple Palmier. I wanted to take something to my mom who is more of a cake person; alongside the full cakes available for purchase they had a handful of varieties in slice form and I chose a tiramisu slice. A pastry here will cost you between $4-5 and a cake slice $7-8, so it's easy to spend a good amount here, but they are very nice treats. I really enjoyed the pistachio croissant although I didn't see why the inside pistachio cream had to have bright green food coloring. Sometimes less is more and I would've rather have had a more natural coloring to the filling. The coffee doughnut was filled with a very moist, almost wet coffee filling, delicious but something best eaten quickly. The palmier was light, elegant tasting and delicious. The cake slice was a big hit. I would absolutely get a full cake here for a celebration; they are beautiful and feel special. read more

This was a nice and needed addition to The Block Northway - so many delicious pastries, tortes, cakes, macaroons. The sandwich I got was fresh, with crisp vegetables and avocado. The tiramisu tort was nice too, with suble filling but a rich, delicious coffee / cocoa crust. The Dubai Chocolate matcha latte was a special limited-time drink there were offering, topped with ingredients that you'd find in a Dubai chocolate bar (delicious but so rich I couldn't finish). I am however super excited that they finally just released online ordering in their app. Going to try ordering online next time to avoid the inside chaos, as it's always been quite busy and overwhelming when it comes to choosing what you want and finding a seat. Huge selection of pastries and gourmet cakes. I highly recommend checking out the menu before going to get an idea of what they have. Everything from mochi donuts, danishes, pastry hot dogs, croissants, and more. They even have a little refrigerated section that offers premade salads, sandwiches, wraps, and drinks. You can also order different coffee drinks at the counter. Their gourmet cakes look absolutely amazing. Perfect for celebrating a birthday or special occasion. Everything I have tried has been good so far. The cream cheese donut was kind of weird (mostly hollow inside with a little bit of cream cheese). My favorites so far are the broccoli cheddar quiche and the fruit pastry. Go earlier in the day to have the best chance at getting what you want! Paris Baguette is a global bakery chain, and this particular Paris Baguette in Ross Township recently opened. I visited this restaurant on a busy Saturday. I saw several display cases of baked goods and sandwiches. I took a tray and tongs, and I selected the baked goods that I wanted. The cakes were in a separate display case that required an employee to assist me. This restaurant also offered coffees and other beverages, but I did not buy any of them. The cashier rang up my purchase and put my baked goods into a box. I noticed that the cake employee and the cashier performed their jobs but could have said hello and smiled. The restaurant contained some tables and chairs, but I ate my eight baked goods at home. The crab-meat croquette was a good size and contained a decent amount of crab meat for costing only $4.29. My husband thought that the 4-cheese quiche and the cinnamon-apple pie were good. I liked my pastel de nata, fruit pastry, pain aux raisins, strawberry-mochi donut, and maple-pecan layer cake. Each baked good cost about $4, and the slice of cake cost $7. I would return to this Paris Baguette so I could try more desserts. read more

This was my first time visiting. My family has been here before but I've never been. My family really enjoyed this place so I wanted to check it out. Kind of interesting, walk in, grab a tray and tongs and pick out what you want. You can eat in or take out. They also have the availability to purchase online as well. Apparently it's a chain, but I've never heard of it before. They have a very nice selection of things from baked goods to savory items. We picked out numerous things to bring home from savory to sweet. One thing I picked was a pastry had arugula, goat cheese, bacon and pecans that is suggested to eat warm. My son loved it, me not as much. We had pecan tarts, baguettes, Dubai mochi donuts, cinnamon twists, etc. All were good. I will say that the online selection didn't have all that was actually available in the store. I really want to go back and try some more things. I stopped by here a couple of Sunday mornings ago with my wife and twins. Every Sunday morning we try to hit up a local coffee shop and on this day we decided to go to Paris Baguette. We had seen signs advertising that this place was open while stopping at other places in the Block at Northway but didn't really know what we were getting ourselves into. This shop is on the lower level of the Block, which means that it faces out onto McKnight Road. The inside of Paris Baguette I can probably best describe as amazing. There were numerous cases full of pastries and there were trays with tongs for you to grab them. Beyond that they had some indoor and outdoor seating and in the back was where the cashiers were and also where you could order your coffee. I counted at least 10 people working on the Sunday morning that I was there and almost all of the indoor and outdoor seats were full as well. Everything in the pastry cases ended up looking good and my family ended up with 5 different pastries to eat. They were a mochi doughnut, almond croissant, a pastry frank, a hash brown bread and finally a raspberry fruit bite. Then for my coffee I went with a maple oat milk latte while my wife went with an iced pumpkin spice latte. First off I will say that all of the pastries here were delicious with the raspberry fruit bite and lemon curd coming out on top but I also really enjoyed the pastry frank. Then the most innovative one was the hash brown bread which true to its word had a hash brown in it as well as some type of ketchup. My wife enjoyed her flakey almond croissant while my kids both enjoyed the mochi donut. As for my coffee, it was good too. I really thought that the maple flavor played nicely with the oat milk and while I was only getting hints of the espresso itself, I still really enjoyed it. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. Heck, if I didn't think that my waist and wallet would suffer, I would stop by here quite frequently as there were a ton of different pastries that I would love to taste. read more

so, unless i'm traveling i usually go to a place at least a couple times before i write a review... I make a rare exception to that rule for Paris Baguette...PB is a South Korean international chain serving up some of the very best pastries and breakfast goodies i have ever had...both sweet and savory and while there are plenty of asian-inspired offerings (several different mochi donuts, sweet rice donut), the food has a cosmopolitan vibe on my first visit i had a ham and cheese baguette and a pain aux raisins the baguette had a crisp, crunchy outside...and while it looks as though it would be a "heavy" sandwich, the inside of the baguette is light and airy...delectable the raisin bread was delightful as well...also airy, with just the right amount of sweetness in my estimation both items appeared to have a glaze of some sort on top, possibly butter?? which if true, would help to explain why it's soooooo good! plenty of friendly, helpful staff...i like how you can watch the bakers and makers at their craft and while it's true they were out of a couple of food items, for me, it's okay, because it means everything is being made fresh fresh and it must be good! the McKnight Road location is bright and open, with ample seating...i was there mid-morning on a Friday...place was bustling... everything i ate on my first visit screamed of freshness of ingredients and quality and i will definitely be back...quite possibly my favorite bakery... i envision this place being an international gathering place read more

This new shop has a cool modern decor (everything has a shiny boutique feel) and modern music! Pastries are in cool display cases as if Apple made a bakery. Pastries are surprisingly diverse too, with sweet and savory options. They have delicious items both familiar (like croissants and tarts) and some non-standard tasty weirdness like this blowtorched pineapple tasty . My son got the pizza tart(?) which was reportedly good and I got a delicious cherry yogurt danish. The almond croissant was thicker than expected and not as buttery as expected but with very notably toasted almonds which I truly enjoyed with my coffee. The whole cafe gets a thumbs up and I will stay and munch my treasures next time (it's quite inviting, with ample seating and good vibes). The checkout situation was easy/modern and otherwise fast but it took the waitstaff WAY too long to carefully bag each and every individual item in their cool logo bag, like I was buying jewelry or designer leather bespoke merch. No doubt newbie process kinks that'll work itself out once the team gets some XP. Seriously y'all, the devastation that's about to occur to these delights doesn't warrant letting them go cold, HA! I was going to leave a 1 star review but I am trying to give them grace as a newly opened spot. The biggest thing I can say is that these employees desperately need brand and product training. The first three employees I encountered didn't even know what the mochi donuts are, which are one of their most popular items. Many of the pastries were sold out and unfortunately the croissants were largely overcooked / browned. The poor individual making the coffee (yes, only one) was extremely frazzled and got each of our two coffee orders wrong (we never did get the hot latte.) I wouldn't expect a chain to have such a big learning curve, but the owner or manager is kind and the mochi donut was heavenly so I may be back to try again once they've had a little more time under their belt. I will say it was relatively clean for how busy they were, and the branding is lovely and consistent. read more

I've visited this location twice now, and I have not been impressed either time. Although the sweet pastries are delicious, the savory options are lackluster. On my first visit, my girlfriend spotted a hair on a croissant in the pastry case. On my second visit, I was really put off when I realized that every "clean" tray left up front had crumbs and/or other residue on it. This alone made me question the sanitation of the whole operation. In addition, the bathrooms were trashed and not a single table was bussed. Stopped in on a Friday around 10:30am and about half the tables were full with customers! As soon as you enter, you're prompted with instructions to take a tray and some tongs and get goin! There were so many beautiful baked goods that it was really difficult to not get everything. All of the pastries looked fresh. The space itself is bright and inviting, with mainly a black and white color palette. Once I snagged 3 things and headed up front, I was able to pay and get out within 2-3 minutes. The staff were super friendly and polite and bagged up my purchase. I ate a chocolate croissant-like twist on my way home and it was light, flaky, and chocolatey. So good! I also bought a rice donut with red bean paste in the center and cinnamon sugar on the outside. The texture was very reminiscent of a mochi ball. I'll be thinking about that one until I can get my hands on another! The food was good (4/5). The only thing I would caution against is the crab croquet. It's more expensive than the other options and not worth it. The place was very clean and aesthetically pleasing (5/5). The prices are a little expensive, but I don't think they're that unfair. What holds me back from giving this place a 4 though is that's some of the products I came specifically for they were out of. Additionally, the staff was a bit frustrating. I asked for my sweet potato pastry to be warmed and they refuse which I thought was odd since they offered to warm our other items. That interaction was so bizarre. I picked out a turkey sandwich with mozzarella and it had this gross onion jam on it which immediately made me sick and overpowered the entire sandwich. $12 and change down the drain. I put it in the fridge and hopefully if I am hungry enough at some point I'll be able to eat it, because I hate the waste. Sandwich and donut was 17 and change, so we are on the pricey side here, and you definitely aren't paying for ambiance. The handful of times I've been I've gotten take out. Sitting so close to strangers while eating is weird for me and this is a tight space. The only cake I've tried from here is the tiramisu and it was awful, but I'm used to a different kind of authentic tiramisu. This was a more generic bland version. Almond croissant is good along with every donut I've had here. I probably would not go out of my way to come back. For the price, taste and kind service a more local place would be preferred. I sent them an email at the address provided, however, it's been nearly a month and I've heard nothing back. After 3 weeks I sent another email asking them to confirm receipt of my initial email. The restaurant is decorated in a very modern, but old time feel bakery. Very cute little bakery, very demure! I visited around 7:30am, so a half hour after opening, on Saturday 9/14. The employees were still working on stocking up all the cases and baking/decorating some of the pastries. I would have preferred that some of the cases had small quantities of these items in them so that someone coming in first thing or early in the morning can have access to all the options availability at the store. Everything looked really good and it was so hard to not want to buy everything there! There was a couple things I have never heard of before or seen in stores that I think they could benefit from having those items as a sample to help push those items. But I also understand that logistically that might not be feasible. As my first time in the store, I was a little unsure what the process was for grabbing pastries. I knew it was self serve for most things, but I had noticed the little parchment papers under the doors in some of the pastries cases and wasn't sure if there was boxes to put items into. But after asking an employee, I found that you grab a tray, large parchment paper and tongs and then when you take it up to the register to pay they box it up. Maybe a simple sign with the instructions would be helpful for first timers to know what to do or having an employee standing by around the cases to help explain the process and provide suggestions if needed. I thought everyone was super polite and still working out some of the new business kinks that are to be expected. There was definitely a struggle with employees finding items in their system and knowing the name of such item. There was a little bit of a language barrier when I was ordering a drink, which I think is largely due to the employees being new and not as familiar with the items on the drink menu. I also think that this will improve with time as the employees become more comfortable with the menu and the POS system to find things. The pastry's I had gotten were so light, airy, and delicious. I grabbed a couple different items to split with my husband who also seemed to enjoy everything. I was able to use my app easily to redeem for points and receive my free pastry for my first visit. I would love to see this location listed on the app to order ahead for pickup so I could take things into the office, to family, or to send my husband in to grab stuff and not have to worry about what to get. Overall this is an amazing business to have in the area, as the 6+ Starbucks on McKnight are being a bit tiresome as the only option for coffee and pastries outside of the other very limited coffee spots. I can't wait to go back and I can see why the one guy who was there when I was had been to the story 4x in the opening week. read more
