I love Jak's bakery. All their baked goods are made in house and always taste fresh. The names can be intimidating to pronounce, but they are sure delish! Love that the store participates in Too Good To Go to minimize waste as well.

Tried some type of bread with Nutella in it. Loved the flavor of the bread but there could have been just a bit more Nutella spread through out it. Also had the pickle pizza. The pizza itself I guess was ok but I just think I will keep the pickles on my hamburger They were at the Sewickley Farmer's Market so I will def try some more of their items.

Very unique and interesting. I don't love all the flavors here but their execution is consistent, prices are fair, and everyone is sooooo nice!! I know they are still getting settled but I think at some point they could incorporate some limited seating for those who are hungry and want to eat and have a break from the cold.

OMBakery!!!! I am so lucky to have them in our neighborhood! This is a Bulgarian bakery that often had stands at local farmers markets. How fantastic is it that they now have a brick and mortar location? This is a family-owned business, husband and wife. Jak and Molly Latinova. Jak has over twenty years experience in baking classics (some with a twist) from his home country of Bulgaria. Every bite of the product they put out is pure love and Europe. Meeting them for the first time felt like talking with family. Bakery is extremely clean and modern. Feels like you're walking into grandma's kitchen. The smells and tastes are pure bliss.

The pastries were super fresh and filling. I liked the variety of pastries and also enjoyed the vibe of the bakery.

I got the rose hip kifla and ham and cheese roll -- Both so delicious and light, will definitely come back for these again.

I heard this was one of the famous bakeries I must check out in Pittsburgh. I got their pistachio…read moreeclair, ham and cheese croissant, and almond croissant -- all tasted wonderful and light. The croissants were great when you lightly air fry/toast them if you don't eat them right away. In Lawrenceville, it's a small location with a couple of outdoor seating but none inside. However, it is a chain so you might have one in your little area. My only thing is that the pistachio eclair is very sweet (so if you don't have a sweet tooth, maybe I'd go for another subtler dessert). I saw they have a deal where you can get a baguette, sandwich, and drink for $7. Good deal imo considering the quality of their bread, and it's a good excuse to buy a sweet treat with it!

La Gourmandine is always a solid choice, and our Thanksgiving order proved it again. We picked up a…read morepumpkin tarte and an apple tarte--each meant to serve about six--and both were delicious. The flavors were balanced, the pastry was buttery and delicate, and they looked as good as they tasted. The total came to $50.65, which feels pretty standard for a French bakery once you understand the baseline is a bit higher than your typical American dessert spot. For the quality, it's well worth it. Consistently great, reliably tasty, and perfect for special occasions or whenever you want to treat yourself. The staff is friendly. It's usually busy here and not conducive to eating inside.

Came here on a cold Saturday morning because several have recommended this bakery on Walnut Street…read more Since it's just a small walk-in, we purchased a few goodies and took them to a cafe to enjoy them with some coffee. They have two cases of their delicious looking pastries, one table of discounted items, and a case serving hot items. Open that case and serve yourself the hot mini quiches and empanadas. Started with a mini quiche and a beef empanada. Hubby liked his quiche. I'm not a fan of olives and they were all over my beef empanada. Will not be getting that one again. The kind young lady behind the case helped us order our very first Burnt Almond Torte. It comes in different sizes and we chose the bar as it easily serves two. She even gave us sporks to eat it with. We really loved the Burnt Almond Torte. The inside has a soft, moist vanilla cake layered with a thin layer of icing and enrobed with more icing and topped with the buttery, crunchy almonds. We will be back for more.

I started with the quiche and enjoyed it; the crust was just average but the egg filing was very good. My wife was not a fan of the empanada so we will not get that again. It was around 10 hours before we tried our Burnt Almond Torte...wow! That dessert is something that I will eat again, and again. The toasted almonds were soooo good! They were crunchy, crispy, and perfect. The Bar Cake had a white cake inside and icing on the outside; it was heavily coated in those almonds. The person who assisted was knowledgeable about the items to a point; she did not eat anything in the bakery so it was by observation. Don't care, that Burnt Almond Torte is the real deal!
