I ordered the torta de chilaquiles and the chilaquiles with carnitas with and an horchata. The chilaquiles have so much flavor! The bread is also baked in house which elevates the torta even more. When you walk in you order at the counter and choose your table they will bring your food out to you and you get to enjoy the cute Mexican decor. There is also a bakery inside which you can browse through the bread windows as you are waiting in line. read more

Growing up in California and recently moving to Pittsburgh I truly miss Mexican sweets and food so finding this place was a gem. You walk right in and the smell of delicious food, coffee and sweets. Hit your nose. You start by picking any type of treats that you want by putting it on a tray once you're done you walk it up to the front and you check out you have the option to add food if you'd like to as well the service is amazing. Everybody is so so friendly. It feels like you just went to your aunt's and Uncle's house for a warm cozy meal highly suggest stopping by! read more

Stopped in for lunch. We had a variety of items and everything was good . Order at the counter and they deliver your order. Grab your utensils and some water at the counter. Staff was friendly and our orders came out very quickly. The enchiladas Mixta is three different enchiladas and were very good. Also split the carnitas tacos. A nice place for a tasty and quick lunch. read more

Street parking only, but it's Pittsburgh. Great, casual breakfast bakery morning place. No alcohol. It's open seating so you order at the counter and then go sit and you can also get your baked goods out of the bakers cabinet along the wall. The only two things I would say is there was a bit of some ordering confusion with the party I was with which was about six people. And they did ask us to leave after a certain amount of time and said people were waiting, but there was no one immediately waiting that I could see. The juevos rancheros were flame though!! read more

I am obsessed and I stop anytime I am in the area. Their bakery items are so unique and taste so good! But honestly, it's the Mexican coffee that has me hooked. The taste is phenomenal and if I lived closer I would be here daily. If you haven't stopped in yet, put it on your list and you will not be disappointed. This is one of the places where they really do strive for excellent service which really elevates the experience. read more

Loved it! Admittedly this is not a part of town I'm very familiar with - I think I was to a Yelp event down the street yearssss ago, and maybe that was the only time I experienced this cute little main street. While in town, I wanted some pan dulce, and Panaderia Jazmin was the Yelp suggestion. We tried a variety of options and the cutest was a little pumpkin shaped / colored bread. The sweets were great and the staff was incredibly friendly. read more

Panaderia Jazmin is exactly what this area needed. Their huevos rancheros are legit, fresh, flavorful, and made like someone actually cares. The coffee is strong and smooth and honestly better than the overpriced stuff from the fancy place nearby. The bakery items are on another level. The concha bread is fantastic and the barquilla rolls with Bavarian icing inside are unreal. Soft, sweet, and addictive. Easily some of the best baked goods around. Also, major respect for opening right next to the most expensive and snooty bakery in the area and completely holding their own. That takes guts and they are pulling it off because the food is great, the prices are good, and the service is fast. Great food, great value, great people. Five stars highly recommend. read more

I didn't know what to expect when I came to Pittsburgh's first Mexican Bakery, but every expectation I had was beyond exceeded! What a gem of a spot in the South Hills. The folks working here were genuine and welcoming. Excellent service. My wife and I were like kids in a candy store when it came to selecting pastries from the display cases of sweets. You grab a set of tongs, feast with your eyes, and start picking! We picked a concha, churro, chocolate donut, apple cinnamon stuffed empanada, gingerbread cookie, and a cacahuate. We came in with a big appetite and an insatiable sweet tooth. We also ordered a breakfast skillet because it just looked delicious. The big surprise was the flavor profiles. If you ordered all of these sweets in an American bakery, you would drown in sugar. But the pastries here had a gentle sweetness that wasn't overbearing. The star of the show for me was the cacahuate, as it was two apricot (at least I think it was apricot) cookies stuffed with delicious, sweet cream. The churro had a nice crunch on the outside and was soft and chewy in the middle. My wife loved the apple cinnamon empanada. All apple pie lovers will love this! The concha was beyond soft and had a subtle sweetness, and the gingerbread cookie was...well, it was one of those sweets where I couldn't stop taking bites. I ate the whole thing and the whole cacahuate (no shame...they were too good!) We also split a breakfast skillet, and it was a perfect flavor profile to balance the sweetness of the pastries. It had a little heat and tasty chorizo. Salty, spicy, fresh peppers, and great Mexican flavors! I am so thankful to have found this place! An eclectic experience for sure. I also appreciate the prices - five sweets for $12 is a great deal! read more

Great pastries. Had lunch and the service could have been better. May go back again since it's so close to home

Just left this place and I give it a 3 out of 5 for now. It's a nice restaurant, not too big and not too small. They serve food, but it closes at 3 or 4pm. I wasn't able to try the food, so I got the pastries, which were ok. The flan was good and this other one I tried but I forgot the name. The coffee I did not like, I got a cappuccino. I will try this location again and leave another review. read more

Pittsburgh's first Mexican bakery is now open for brunch! This South Hills bakery just moved into a bigger location & added a dining room, so guests can stay a while and enjoy a meal. The bakery is known for their homemade bread and treats, which tend to run out fast! It's that popular. Their brunch menu offers traditional Mexican fare, big portions and incredible flavors. I couldn't help by order a Mexican hot chocolate too! Brunch is served Tuesdays to Saturdays from 8am to 3pm. read more

This place is legit! I love Panaderia Jazmin. It started off as a Mexican bakery. They still have a good selection of Mexican baked goods. You should go there for the brunch or lunch menu. Everything I have had here is authentic and delicious. The huevos ranchero is awesome. My wife loved it so much she asked for a spoon to eat the remaining ranchero sauce--a red chili sauce that is tangy and goes great with the refried beans and egg. She also loves the chilaquiles. My favorites are the flautas, which are perfectly crispy and filled with chicken. Their breakfast burrito is also top-notch. I have yet to try their tortas but I have no doubt that they are worth ordering. If you haven't been to Panaderia Jazmin, you are missing truly authentic Mexican food. Enjoy a sweet treat from the bakery after your meal. read more

Dude, That place is the most amazing mexican bakery iv ever had in my life. Frendly Staff, Amazing Food, and Good Pasterys.

Went this morning with 2 friends, it was busier than I expected but was able to find a table for us. I got us a pastry to share and the verde chilaquiles with carnitas. YUM!!! Would have totally licked my plate clean if there wasn't so many eyes lol. Loved the savoriness of the pork, the bit of spice from the verde sauce and the tiny bit of acidity of the picked red onions. read more

We came here for breakfast while visiting town for a convention. Lots of places were closed labor day weekend but this one was open. I enjoyed my coffee and pastry, my husband had more of a full breakfast. We would definitely come back. read more

I have been to Panaderia Jazmin many times for their baked goods, but had never been to sit down for a meal since they moved to their current location. Idk what the heck I was waiting for because the brunch here was truly fantastic, which I should have anticipated because I already knew the bakery is amazing. Husband had a breakfast burrito, and I had the breakfast skillet--more or less the same thing; his was wrapped in a flour tortilla, and mine was sizzling hot on a cast iron skillet. The hot sauce drizzled on my skillet was the secret star that took the dish over the top, and I'd definitely order it again. Now because I cannot go into that place without also shoving my face with sweets, we also had a churro, a fresh (like, actually still hot) donut, and a tricolor polvoron. All three are favorites of ours, but if you're going for the first time, don't miss their tres leches cake, which they sell in individual pieces at the counter. Rice pudding is also fantastic. If pan dulce is your thing, you'll find tons of variety here. Panederia Jazmin is a little neighborhood treasure and I'm excited to drop in for lunch next! read more

I have visited this location multiple times for their baked goods. Here is how it works: 1) Grab a tray and place parchment/wax paper on top. 2) Get a pair of tongs and go through the various shelves and place them on your tray. 3) Head on over to the register where a nice young lady will ring you up. Up front there are cold dessert items like flan, tres leches, etc. you can also add to your order. They take credit card payments 4) She rings you up and promptly packs all your goodies in a box or bag and you are on your way! 5) There is not any seating areas so you will have to take it to go. My picks: Churros (they are filled with bavarian cream, Tres Leches, 3 milks soaked cake and the Flan, egg custard with caramel topping. read more

This Mexican bakery recently moved a few spots from its previous location on Beverly Road and now has more space to offer sit-down service. They are serving brunch, which I have yet to try and really must as I've heard the concha toast - their take on French toast, topped with fruits - is fantastic. As it is, I can vouch for their self-serve pastries, of which I've had many and never a bad choice. The thing I like about their pastries here is that they are nuanced, allowing the flavors to shine through without being overly sweet. They are a unique gem in the area and you owe it to yourself to stop by and give them a try. read more

You can grab pastries from the case (and trust me you will want to try some) and then you can order at the back of the store. I've been for breakfast twice. One time I had the breakfast skillet, which was absolutely incredible. The second time I had the veggie omelette, also amazing. I added cheese to it. My friend had the huevos divorciados and she loved it. My friend was also a huge fan of their drip coffee. I've also had their tres leches cake in the past. A famous bakery with a new space on Beverly Road.  Panaderia Jazmin- where tradition meets taste.  Amazing Mexican bakery serving up delicious desserts.  Their pastry case is unreal, so many delicious and unique baked goods.  October and November, their big feature is the Pan de Muerto which is a Day of the Day Bread, a sweet bread, covered in white sugar- a symbolic food to honor those loved ones who have passed. I had it with Mexican Hot Coco which was delicious- made with Mexican chocolate, so rich in flavor. They also serve up delicious Mexican inspired- breakfast, brunch and lunch dishes. I tried their traditional mole enchilada- wow- house made cacao based spicy sauce with rice sour cream and onions! Panaderia Jazmin - Breakfast Burrito - Bakeries Near Me - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

A taste of Mexico in the heart of Mt. Lebanon. In a quiet corner of Mt. Lebanon/Dormont lies Panaderia Jazmin, an unassuming haven that is nothing short of a revelation for those fortunate enough to step through its doors. This establishment, a hybrid of bakery and eatery, achieves what few places can: an authentic celebration of Mexican culinary tradition, executed with precision and heart. The interior is a model of thoughtful design, featuring an open, clean floor plan that radiates warmth and accessibility that is adorned in Mexican traditional decor. This is a self-service bakery, but don't let that fool you this is no ordinary setup. Sliding glass shelves house a dazzling array of baked goods, each one a testament to the art of pastry. Trays and tongs are neatly stationed to the right as you enter, inviting you to curate your own personal journey through their offerings. As you make your way towards the cash register at the front of the store you'll find more baked goods in a cooler case you'll find tres leches cake that is impossibly moist, arroz con leche that recalls the comforts of a family kitchen, flan with the perfect wobble, and a mil hojas that rivals anything you might find in Mexico City's finest patisseries. These are not mere desserts they are edible masterpieces, crafted with a reverence for tradition and a flair for excellence. A must have is the Mexican style coffee. I can't come up with a unique statement for this blissful cup of coffee other than it's magical and it may have you rethinking what your favorite coffee really is. But Panaderia Jazmin is more than a bakery--it is a true eatery, with sit-down seating that invites you to gather and break bread with friends and family. Their menu is a love letter to traditional Mexican breakfast and brunch, each dish prepared with an authenticity that is increasingly rare in today's world. Whether you're savoring enchiladas or indulging in huevos rancheros, every bite tells a story of heritage, flavor, and care. Personally I enjoyed huevos rancheros this flavorful dish really strikes home at the blue collar roots of the Mexican rancher who this hearty, flavor filled dish was intended for. Panaderia Jazmin is the type of place that makes you forget the busy city and pending task at work, a space where the act of eating transforms into something deeply personal and profoundly satisfying. It is a reminder that the most extraordinary culinary experiences often arise from the most unpretentious settings. For those who cherish food as art and tradition as inspiration, Panaderia Jazmin is not merely a recommendation it is a destination into Mexican culture and flavor. read more

Step in, grab a tray and tongs, pick your own baked goods from the case, and make your way up to the register where you can order from the menu: brunch, omelettes, coffee, and more! We got a handful of pastries to try, huevos rancheros, breakfast burrito, Mexican coffee, and a latte. We loved our brunch items - best huevos rancheros we've found in Pittsburgh; the burrito was delicious and filling. The Mexican coffee was a surprise, I had no idea what to expect but it was perfectly sweetened and cinnamon-y! Great huevos divorciados! Luscious, flavorful salsas, fresh avocado slices, and rich creamy eggs. With a crispy tortilla, rice was tender and cooked perfectly. Great textural contrast. 5 stars! Friend had the birra. He says he always gets that (must be good-he's a picky eater) it was the size of a small football! What is thrilling for my family is this is a nut free bakery. So for the first time, our severely nut allergic family member could have a large assortment of fancy pastries just like everyone else!!!!! What an absolute thrill. Like Willy Wonka and the Chocolate factory!! Only no one turns into a blueberry. The churro is filled with cream and the favorite for the kids. Chrispy cinnamon-y. And creamy filling. The chocolate donut has a nice yeasty-good donut smell and tender texture. Was not overly sweet. Also a kid favorite. The barquillo has chocolate frosting and is cream filled. The bigote is also filled with cream w powdered sugar on top. As someone noted-the pastries seem drier than French or American pastries. And are not over the sweet. They are delicious in their unique way. Enjoyed tasting all of them! Great little bakery and restaurant! 5 stars. Highly recommend. read more
