Most people driving by might only think this is a cookie shop but you would be very very wrong. The cookies are fantastic, and I would come to this place alone just for the cookies, however it's really the lunch + cookies combo that hits home for me. I've tried both their sandwiches and their salads and both are excellent. I've only gone on Fridays and I'm always stunned by how much of a line there is. I was at The Blue Daisy today doing some flower arranging with some friends, and I was quite peckish afterward, so I popped into this cute place for a sandwich. YUM! First off, the freezers that greet you when you walked in are full of great looking Italian yumminess. Nearby fridges have quiche, chicken and tuna salads, and potato and pasta salads for quick carryout. There are shelves on the other side full of cute gifts/stuff for the home - mugs, candles, cards, soaps, tea towels, and so much more. The 2 baked goods cabinets are chock full of incredible looking sweets - cookies, cakes, chocolate stuffs, scones, cinnamon rolls, muffins - on and on!!! Stopped by for a quart of soup. Quick and easy checkout at the counter, very pleasant young man took my order and completed it in record time. This place is always hopping. Their food is uniquely different and so unbelievably flavorful. I've had the chicken Pot pie and it's amazing. Their soup is the best by far. Since 2021, I have been a customer here as well as at their other location in Bellevue and through their website. All of the employees have promptly and politely served me. Just a very average place in my opinion. I haven't had a ton from this mostly cookie shop (although they do have some other desserts and they might even do catering with non sweet items), but judging from what I did try, it just isn't that great. I tried out their chocolate chip cookie. It was kind of bland and just didn't hit the spot. There weren't and big, satisfying chunks of chocolate. Just little pieces. The cookie itself was dry and a bit stale. I just didn't enjoy it, to be honest. All in all, I probably won't come back. If I do decide to come back, I'll try out some of their other items. But, the classic chocolate chip cookie just didn't seem to be all that good from L'Oven. read more

They are also all gluttons I was highly recommended the cinnamon roll cookie but they were sadly all out so I got the peanut butter chocolate chip and lemon white chocolate chip sugar cookie. Ordered takeout from here. Someone answered the phone right away to take my order. I got the henny penny, and my husband got the big mac wrap. He thought his wrap was very good - a ton of fillings! It looked to me like 2 big macs in size! The henny penny was great - the roasted turkey inside was a nice change from traditional lunch meat. Everything was very flavorful. Reviewing again because WOW! I had never tried their breakfast before, but I'm so glad I did. We just so happened to be in the area on a Saturday morning. I was hungry and didn't want to brave the long line at the nearest Starbucks. Initially, I just wanted some cookies for after dinner, but then I started checking out the breakfast/lunch menu. I settled on the breakfast burrito. It was everything I needed and more. The fresh greens and bites of tomato, crispy bacon, fluffy eggs. I'm going back for more breakfast!! I've seen their cookies being sold at a variety of places and decided to finally check out their shop. I didn't originally realize it wasn't a restaurant but when I got there I was amazed by everything. When you first enter there are fridges and freezers to the left with premade items. My friend got the gnocchi and a homemade pasta sauce. To the right are cabinets and shelves of pasta sauces, jarred foods and preservatives, locally made art, crafts, jewelry and knickknacks. And straight ahead is a counter in which you can order. Tip: they have menus at the counter and seasonal items on a large sign above the counter. They have a daily soup (it was chicken tortilla) and a large selection of sandwiches and a few breakfast items. However, the true star of the show is their cookies. They're huge and amazing. I ordered the veggie melt with mushrooms, peppers, lettuce, provolone, and pesto with a chocolate chip cookie as my side. It was all delicious but I will say, I left the cookie out for hours and somehow it was still soft and gooey and amazing when I ended up eating it. We hadn't been to Good L'Oven in some time and luckily found out they are now more than just cookies. We were looking for a good local sandwich place and thankfully found out they have them. They have a nice big menu of breakfast and lunch sandwiches. Breakfast is served all day. My husband really enjoyed his egg and bacon on a croissant. The fight piggy that i had was other worldly. Such a cool place, I wish it wasn't so far from me down in the South Hills. This place is great for going in and out and quick pickups, there's no seating. I came in with some friends and we got some cookies. When it comes to cookies, size matters and these do not disappoint, they are big! In addition to being nearly the size of my face they're so tasty and have a nice chew to them. I got the almond cake one (I think that's what it was, it's a rotating flavor), and my friends got oatmeal raisin, salted sea turtle, and the employee's favorite Steel City crunch. All great! They don't just have cookies either. They have other sweet treats, fresh and refrigerated, they have pierogis, they have jerky, and spices. Good L'oven has quickly become a lunch time favorite of mine. I often find myself getting their delicious Buffalo Chicken Wrap, but from time to time, I'll try their seasonal items. Last summer, they had a sandwich called the Honky Tonk that was seriously such a good combination of flavors. And how could this be a good review if the cookies aren't mentioned? Seated at the corner of Rochester road and Sewickley Oakmont road is Good Loven Cookies. There is a good amount of parking within the parking lot for it accommodates two businesses the other being Sir Plaza Pizza. Cookies is obviously what this location does right and they know it. They have a multitude of cookie types to select from the ones I went with were Chubby-Hubby, Oreo, Crème Brulé Caramel, Lemon with white chocolate, chocolate chip, cinnamon roll, Lemon Blueberry, Pittsburgh pothole and snicker doodle. Which were all exceptional. Cookies are done to perfection with none of them being burned or over done. The cookie is of great flavor and are well portioned, the cookie does not crumble when eaten and crumbs aren't really noticed when broken. Each cookie was as good as the last and I highly recommend getting these for yourself, work, or family get together, I almost feel bad eating these beautiful cookies.... almost read more
