Most people driving by might only think this is a cookie shop but you would be very very wrong. The cookies are fantastic, and I would come to this place alone just for the cookies, however it's really the lunch + cookies combo that hits home for me. I've tried both their sandwiches and their salads and both are excellent. I've only gone on Fridays and I'm always stunned by how much of a line there is. I wouldn't have expected that for the location its in but it is a testament to how good the food is! One thing to note - this is a takeout place so there isn't a place to sit and eat. Just keep that in mind for when you are making your plans read more

Cannot recommend this place enough. Cookies are amazing, sandwiches are amazing. Never had something from here that wasn't good. I recommend the strawberry pretzel cookie or the lemon cookie. 10/10, love this place. read more

Amazing freshly made cookies. Staff is friendly and the bakery is super clean. I enjoy tasting all the different types of cookies.

First time here and the food was delicious, the service was on point, just wish there was somewhere to sit there

I was at The Blue Daisy today doing some flower arranging with some friends, and I was quite peckish afterward, so I popped into this cute place for a sandwich. YUM! First off, the freezers that greet you when you walked in are full of great looking Italian yumminess. Nearby fridges have quiche, chicken and tuna salads, and potato and pasta salads for quick carryout. There are shelves on the other side full of cute gifts/stuff for the home - mugs, candles, cards, soaps, tea towels, and so much more. The 2 baked goods cabinets are chock full of incredible looking sweets - cookies, cakes, chocolate stuffs, scones, cinnamon rolls, muffins - on and on!!! I ordered a chicken salad sandwich, and it was SO good - yummy cranberries popping up all over in the smooth white meat salad. Yum! I *WISH* this place was in my neighborhood (come to Regent Square!!!). I'll def be back! read more

Good L'oven Cookie Shop is local and family-owned, and it is my all-time favorite cookie business. Good L'oven bakes and sells dozens of traditional and unique flavors of cookies, including almond torte, caramel apple pie, cappuccino crunch, ginger snap, peanut-butter buckeye, pineapple upside-down, s'mores, etcetera. Good L'oven also sells dozens of other foods for breakfast, lunch, and catering, such as sandwiches and chicken salad. Since 2021, I have been a customer here as well as at their other location in Bellevue and through their website. All of the employees have promptly and politely served me. I have tried so many foods from here: cookies (bananas foster, brownie, chocolate chip, creme brulee, mint chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, peanut butter, Pittsburgh pothole, Reese's peanut butter, salted sea turtle, samoa, snickerdoodle, steel city, strawberry pretzel salad, sugar sparkle, Twix), potato-cheese pierogies, macaroni salad, etcetera. All of these foods were fresh and tasted delicious. read more

Stopped by for a quart of soup. Quick and easy checkout at the counter, very pleasant young man took my order and completed it in record time. This place is always hopping. Their food is uniquely different and so unbelievably flavorful. I've had the chicken Pot pie and it's amazing. Their soup is the best by far. Menu published months in advance so you can plan which you'd like to try next. Fantastic venue and astounding food. Don't miss this little Gem in the North Hills. read more

Just a very average place in my opinion. I haven't had a ton from this mostly cookie shop (although they do have some other desserts and they might even do catering with non sweet items), but judging from what I did try, it just isn't that great. I tried out their chocolate chip cookie. It was kind of bland and just didn't hit the spot. There weren't and big, satisfying chunks of chocolate. Just little pieces. The cookie itself was dry and a bit stale. I just didn't enjoy it, to be honest. All in all, I probably won't come back. If I do decide to come back, I'll try out some of their other items. But, the classic chocolate chip cookie just didn't seem to be all that good from L'Oven. read more

I haven't met a bakery that I didn't love and good loven is at the top of my list. Their cookies have lots of creative names and flavors and are HUGE. They also offer a variety of other baked goods, but also many savory foods. I was surprised to see the additional offerings like Thanksgiving sides and meals, breakfast items, quiches and more. The staff is so kind and I can't wait to go back for more goodies!! read more

I have driven past this spot for years. I rarely get a cookie for a sweet treat but I have heard from a few people that they love it. They are also all gluttons I was highly recommended the cinnamon roll cookie but they were sadly all out so I got the peanut butter chocolate chip and lemon white chocolate chip sugar cookie. Huge lemon dessert whore Lemon - 4/5 Peanut butter - 1.5/5 Lemon was bomb. It's a solid not too hard sugar cookie with a not overpowering lemon extract added and white choc drizzle. Make me want the choc chip Peanut butter was overcooked. Not burnt but still overcooked on the bottom :/ read more

Ordered takeout from here. Someone answered the phone right away to take my order. I got the henny penny, and my husband got the big mac wrap. He thought his wrap was very good - a ton of fillings! It looked to me like 2 big macs in size! The henny penny was great - the roasted turkey inside was a nice change from traditional lunch meat. Everything was very flavorful. Good portion at a good price. Very small inside the shop, but huge flavor! Will be back. read more

Reviewing again because WOW! I had never tried their breakfast before, but I'm so glad I did. We just so happened to be in the area on a Saturday morning. I was hungry and didn't want to brave the long line at the nearest Starbucks. Initially, I just wanted some cookies for after dinner, but then I started checking out the breakfast/lunch menu. I settled on the breakfast burrito. It was everything I needed and more. The fresh greens and bites of tomato, crispy bacon, fluffy eggs. I'm going back for more breakfast!! They were loading up the refrigerators with meatloaf meals and other goodies. Peep my photos - they have a little bit of everything and a LOT of cookies. A sweet tooth lovers dream. They also had donuts this Saturday morning. I love this place! read more

10/10!!! The have great sandwiches and soup for lunch & the breakfast sandwiches are reasonably priced and delicious. Cookies & sandwiches are fantastic! I've seen their cookies being sold at a variety of places and decided to finally check out their shop. I didn't originally realize it wasn't a restaurant but when I got there I was amazed by everything. When you first enter there are fridges and freezers to the left with premade items. My friend got the gnocchi and a homemade pasta sauce. To the right are cabinets and shelves of pasta sauces, jarred foods and preservatives, locally made art, crafts, jewelry and knickknacks. And straight ahead is a counter in which you can order. Tip: they have menus at the counter and seasonal items on a large sign above the counter. They have a daily soup (it was chicken tortilla) and a large selection of sandwiches and a few breakfast items. However, the true star of the show is their cookies. They're huge and amazing. I ordered the veggie melt with mushrooms, peppers, lettuce, provolone, and pesto with a chocolate chip cookie as my side. It was all delicious but I will say, I left the cookie out for hours and somehow it was still soft and gooey and amazing when I ended up eating it. The cookies are huge but they had a sign you can call ahead for smaller ones. Everything was delicious and I'll definitely be back. read more

We hadn't been to Good L'Oven in some time and luckily found out they are now more than just cookies. We were looking for a good local sandwich place and thankfully found out they have them. They have a nice big menu of breakfast and lunch sandwiches. Breakfast is served all day. My husband really enjoyed his egg and bacon on a croissant. The fight piggy that i had was other worldly. Loved the crispy bacon, ooey gooey cheese and sweet fig jam. The bread was delicious too. Friday is free cookie Friday too. Can't wait to enjoy our cookies later. read more

Catering for lunch is great! We had a pasta salad and various sandwiches. I'm just not a fan of the cookies.

Such a cool place, I wish it wasn't so far from me down in the South Hills. This place is great for going in and out and quick pickups, there's no seating. I came in with some friends and we got some cookies. When it comes to cookies, size matters and these do not disappoint, they are big! In addition to being nearly the size of my face they're so tasty and have a nice chew to them. I got the almond cake one (I think that's what it was, it's a rotating flavor), and my friends got oatmeal raisin, salted sea turtle, and the employee's favorite Steel City crunch. All great! They don't just have cookies either. They have other sweet treats, fresh and refrigerated, they have pierogis, they have jerky, and spices. They also have some local trinkets like candles, earrings, kitchen towels, cards. A really neat little spot! read more

Good L'oven has quickly become a lunch time favorite of mine. I often find myself getting their delicious Buffalo Chicken Wrap, but from time to time, I'll try their seasonal items. Last summer, they had a sandwich called the Honky Tonk that was seriously such a good combination of flavors. And how could this be a good review if the cookies aren't mentioned? They have a great selection of large cookies that are perfectly baked and full of those nostalgic flavors. read more

Seated at the corner of Rochester road and Sewickley Oakmont road is Good Loven Cookies. There is a good amount of parking within the parking lot for it accommodates two businesses the other being Sir Plaza Pizza. Cookies is obviously what this location does right and they know it. They have a multitude of cookie types to select from the ones I went with were Chubby-Hubby, Oreo, Crème Brulé Caramel, Lemon with white chocolate, chocolate chip, cinnamon roll, Lemon Blueberry, Pittsburgh pothole and snicker doodle. Which were all exceptional. Cookies are done to perfection with none of them being burned or over done. The cookie is of great flavor and are well portioned, the cookie does not crumble when eaten and crumbs aren't really noticed when broken. Each cookie was as good as the last and I highly recommend getting these for yourself, work, or family get together, I almost feel bad eating these beautiful cookies.... almost read more

We have tried this location a couple times now. Service has always been good. They have a variety of sandwiches and cookies to offer. Everything we have tried has been delicious. I've driven past this place a million times. I've heard their cookies are AMAZING. (Literally, a friend told me they were the BEST around). So I finally went and holy moly am I glad I did! The customer service was great-- the girl working was super patient with me as I was being indecisive in my cookie selection. They have SO many cookies and they are all huge! They also have other sweets if cookies aren't your thing. After selecting my cookies, I checked out the many gifts they have in their gifts and home goods section. This would be perfect to stop in and pick up a last minute gift for someone! Also, their lunch and breakfast menu looks amazing so I can't wait to try that! They have about 20 sandwiches and endless 'make your own' options to chose from. The focal point of Good L'oven, however, is the cookie display case with flavors like traditional chocolate chip to lemon white chocolate.
