    10in hoagie

Chain around Pittsburgh. May be in Ohio and WV too but not sure and not looking into it If you ever had a Wegman's hoagie this is quite literally that but without the seasoned olive oil. Plus though is they have an everything bagel bun Bread is spot on, lunch meat is good, portions are good, price is fair and never once dealt with a jag off working there which is very hard to escape when going to chain/franchise spots in the city If you want a Wegmans hoagie without driving to one then you've found your solution

Established in 1918, this subs place is not one to miss. As a family member described it, it's like Jersey Mike's on steroids and fresher. You come in, pick a hot or cold sun or make your own. Size options are 7, 10, and 14 inch on a variety of breads. There's lots of toppings and condiments to pick from; something for everyone indeed. You pay after ordering and then wait for them to call out your number. The service was friendly and this is a great place for a casual lunch with family or friends. It's open seating, so find a booth or table and enjoy!

Adolescent interpretation to, "Would you cut this pickle into spears for me?"

Tired. Long day. Didn't want to cook. Decided DiBella's for dinner. Was promptly greeted by 1 of 3 employees working. I was the ONLY customer at the time. Ordered the cheese steak hoagie. [Missed lunch so I ordered the medium - very large sandwich.] On my way to pay the cashier, who also took my order, I grabbed a pickle out of the cooler. Asked the 2 employees at the grill if they could cut the pickle into SPEARS for me ... first response blank stare ... then one employee says I don't think we do that ... the other person says (long pause) ok. Please see their interpretation of pickle spears. I arrive at the cashier. He had already entered my order in and took my phone number. I sat down to enjoy my pickle CHUNKS while I waited for my sandwich. Online order pick up and another walk-in arrive. Never received a number. Was the ONLY customer and the person taking my order and payment was the same person. He put a sandwich on the counter and walked away. After a while, I got up and asked about my sandwich. Again blank stares. I asked if that was my sandwich on the counter. Response: Umm maybe? It was. Our future is grim.

I like going to DiBella's. Their food is always fresh and the service is very good. Usually the overhead music is from the forties which gives you a old shop feel, but today, they were playing more up-to date music. No big deal, just something I noticed. The shop is always clean and I enjoy eating inside or outside when the weather permits. So if you are looking for a change of pace and very good subs, please give DiBella's a try!

    Bland cheesesteak

Too expensive for a bland sandwich. Even the meat on a good cheesesteak should burst with flavor. This was so bland as if there was no seasoning at all. I wanted to send it back. Especially since paying $18 for a 10" sandwich, small bag of chips, & regular fountain drink. Then being asked for a tip at checkout. I've only eaten at DiBello's 4 times now. There's nothing above average about them. Even their big chocolate chip cookies were hard. I will stick with Jersey Mike's.

I have been to the Bella's about three times. Their sandwiches are delicious but they rush you through the ordering process. During my most recent visit, I found an earring in my salad. I probably will not return ever again.

I've been going to DiBella's over three years now and have not yet been disappointed with a DiBella sub. Also always fast and friendly.

Examples of menu items are appetizers (e.g., shrimp cocktail and nachos), soups, salads, wings, burgers, flatbreads, entrees (e.g., pasta primavera, chicken, duck, pork chop, swordfish, and A-5 wagyu), desserts (e.g., limoncello and cheesecake), and drinks (e.g., mocktails, cocktails, wines, whiskeys, and beers). My husband and I have eaten here twice--once for lunch last year and once for dinner this year. Both times, we enjoyed the employees' service and the foods. Here are my ratings for what we ate: Passionfruit-Paloma Mocktail - 4 stars - sour. Spring Sangria - 4.5 stars - slightly fruity. Jumbo Pretzel - 5 stars - huge size with beer cheese and mustard sauce. French Onion Soup - 5 stars - This soup had a rich broth, onions, and cheese. Ybor Cuban sandwich - 4.5 stars - nicely crunchy toast with tasty pork, ham, and Swiss cheese and a side of crispy onion rings. Salmon - 5 stars - I ordered this entree both times. The salmon was perfectly cooked and came with flavorful farro grains, cherry tomatoes, and asparagus. Filet Mignon - 5 stars - This 8-ounce steak was cooked mid-rare as my husband prefers. It came with whipped potatoes and his choice of au poivre style (black pepper crusted with bourbon cream).

Owned by longtime locals John and Melanie Dober, it positions itself as a warm, community-focused spot blending upscale comfort food with a welcoming vibe--think handcrafted sandwiches, premium Black Angus steaks, fresh seafood, flatbreads, and daily specials, all with thoughtful wine and bourbon selections. We were excited for what promised to be a polished neighborhood gem, and in many ways, it delivered. The food was genuinely great and the clear highlight. Our dishes were flavorful, well-executed, and creative without being fussy--fresh ingredients shone through, portions were generous, and everything arrived hot and beautifully plated. It's easy to see why so many reviewers rave about the crab cakes, steaks, and chef specials; the kitchen clearly knows what it's doing. This is elevated American fare that feels special yet approachable, and we'd happily return just for the meals. That said, a few aspects fell short and left us feeling the overall experience wasn't quite as seamless as the food deserved. First and foremost, the billing transparency issue was disappointing. They add a 3% bank/credit card processing fee to the check (which adds up quickly on a family dinner), but this isn't disclosed on the menu, at the table, or in any obvious way during the ordering process. There's only a small sign posted outside the restaurant. We only noticed it when the bill arrived, and it felt like an afterthought rather than a clear policy. In an era where many restaurants are upfront about surcharges (or absorb them), this lack of disclosure came across as sneaky and detracted from the otherwise positive value perception. The atmosphere was another mixed bag. The space itself is attractive--soft lighting, comfortable seating, and that friendly "upscale brew pub" energy the owners aim for. However, it was noticeably noisy during our evening visit. Conversations required raised voices, especially as the dining room filled up, which made it hard to relax and enjoy the meal fully. OpenTable rates the noise as "moderate," but on our night it tipped louder than that, possibly due to the layout or lack of sufficient sound absorption. A bit more attention to acoustics could make a big difference. Service was mostly attentive and efficient, but the management interaction stood out in a negative way. When we politely mentioned the surprise fee at the end of the meal, the response was an apology that felt scripted and insincere--like it had been delivered many times before without real follow-through or ownership. It didn't leave us feeling heard or valued as guests. On a brighter note, the owners John and Melanie genuinely come across as lovely people. The restaurant has that personal, homegrown touch you can sense even when they're not physically present, and locals speak highly of them. They were absent during our nighttime visit, though, which is understandable for owners juggling a busy operation--but their warmth is missed when the front-of-house team is handling everything solo. In summary, Wexford Public excels where it matters most: the food is consistently excellent and worth the trip on its own. The family-owned charm and diverse menu make it a strong neighborhood choice for special occasions, casual dinners, or even happy hour in the cocktail bar. However, clearer communication about the credit card fee (ideally on the menu or bill upfront), better noise management, and more authentic handling of guest concerns would elevate it from very good to outstanding. We'll likely go back for the cuisine, but with tempered expectations on the finer details. If you're in the Wexford area and prioritize great American plates, it's still a solid recommendation--just check the small print before you pay.

Very cool looking building, and the outdoor seating near the water and the fire makes you feel like you're on vacation. The waiter was also super friendly and played along with our jokes. He strongly recommended the chimichurri chicken, so I ordered it. I like that there's a healthier part of the menu too, although with what I ordered, I wish there were more salad greens. It tasted excellent with the chimichurri sauce, but I wish it was less heavy on the rice. More lettuce greens and less rice, or even completely swapping the rice for a salad, would have made me like this a lot more. Maybe even just calling it or having the option for a chimichurri salad and making it a really robust salad with more greens and vegetables. The rice wasn't bad, just kind of an excessive portion and didn't really go with the meal. My friend really loved his burger, and the pulled pork sandwich was good. While I'm not usually a French fry person, theirs were good, and I would actually recommend serving the fries with the spicy cheese dip they serve with the soft pretzels to take it up a notch. That was an interesting choice for an appetizer. While I'm not really a beer person, I can say the beer they serve here is very smooth after trying a sip lol. We especially loved hanging out by the fire pit after, especially since it was a chilly night. There's just something so comforting about sitting by a fire.
