Zelienople caught me be surprise with all of its charming shops, not-so-dirty streets and variety of random activities needed to kill some time. Despite my temporary inability to taste anything, I was delighted by the Buffalo chicken melt I ordered at Spring and Main Cafe. The atmosphere was trendy, yet not annoyingly so. The water was excellent and very refreshing. I asked the friendly chap at the counter what kind it was, but he said it was just tap. That's how I like mine anyway. Stopped by on a whim. My husband had the egg sandwich which he said was good but messy on an English muffin. I had the "club" sandwich that had one thick slice from a round industrial loaf and one thick slice of turkey, there was one cold slice of cheese and some lettuce and tomato. However there was no bacon. There was a literal smear of mayonnaise that you could see through the slightly burnt toast. Again no bacon! That is not your standard club sandwich that has three slices of bread. I had to ask for a table to be cleaned as all were cluttered in the front room, two tables were in use at 11:00 am not sure I will stop at this cute friendly place again but I am sure if I do the club sandwich will not be my choice. I rarely order DoorDash or GrubHub, but I got sick and couldn't cook. While I had not eaten here in over a year, I remember the food being excellent so I door dashed a big takeout order for my family & me. When the food arrived (moments before a snow storm mind you), it tasted just as good, if not better, than I remember. It is rare to find restaurant quality food that maintains that same quality when transported offsite. The fried chicken sandwich kept its crispy outer shell & moist meat with a delicious (and perfect) amount of sauce. The breakfast sandwich was placed on a soft (obviously homemade/in-house) croissant with the perfect ratio of egg, to bacon to sausage. Iced caramel macchiato was a little sweet, but just needed a little mixing! Overall, chef's kiss. Will be back soon for an in-person meal! read more

Cute and homey little cafe in Zelienople! The staff was super friendly and transparent with the long wait from the kitchen. Even though we had to wait for hot food, we had scones (blueberry, strawberry, and chocolate) and coffee to pass the time. My mom, son, and I came here on a Wednesday morning. There were very few people in the restaurant when we arrived. We walked right up to the counter to order. I ordered a Veggie omelet with a fruit cup and wheat toast. The omelet was the most delicious item- fresh vegetables that were cooked well. We split a lemon poppyseed muffin that was pretty dry and would have been better warmed with butter. I ordered a chocolate chip pancake for my son and he really enjoyed it. I tasted it and it was a little dry and flat but he didn't seem to mind. Overall, this is a nice stop in Zelieonople for breakfast. CUTEST little cafe for breakfast/brunch! We were looking for anywhere in the area open before 9:00 for breakfast and ended up stumbling across this gem! I ordered the "Light Take" sandwich with a side of their "Crashed Potatoes," and both of these menu items were delicious! Next time, I would definitely ask for my potatoes to be cooked "well done," however, they were quite tasty! My boyfriend ordered the "Biscuits & Gravy w/ Meat and Eggs," and the portion was HUGE! He was very happy with his order as well! They had homemade baked goods on display behind the counter, so of course I went back and purchased one on the way out! It was so hard to choose because they all looked so good! The interior of this restaurant is super quaint, the staff is extremely kind, and the food is delicious. My husband loves this place and always goes to lunch during the work week. We had an opportunity to go on a Saturday and I loved the atmosphere, decorations, and food. There are some critiques though. The menu is on a chalk board. It is hard to read and does not describe the items at all. I had a hard time picking my food. I ended up getting an egg white and Canadian bacon croissant sandwich with potatoes...all great! My husband gets the spring salad with chicken and balsamic. He loves everything about this except the chicken is not cut up and left in huge pieces. read more

Excellent and friendly service. My sister and I went here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. I had the "Butter beer" Latte and biscuits and gravy meal. I don't like my lattes overly sweet, so they gladly obliged to make mine "half sweet". It was delicious! My meal was very good as well; generous portions and a reasonable price. This is a cute place. The staff were decent, they could have been having a rough morning. I ordered their strawberry açaí and the avocado toast with runny eggs. The toast was good and the eggs were runny as I ordered. Only draw back was how much balsamic vinegar was on the greens. It was swimming in it compared to them saying just a drizzle. So if you like balsamic vinegar dive in! I give 3 stars because of the service not being great and the friendliness was subpar. Tip for the juice drink- it's very sweet so if you're not looking for a very sweet drink I would order something else. The only thing they offered to fix the drink was to add water. If I'm in the area again I may try it again, but not sure. read more

I can't really give this a rating for food because a friend and I came here on a Saturday morning to try to get brunch and unfortunately, after waiting 20 minutes in line, the cashier told us that the wait for food would be 40 minutes because a football team was coming in. Half of that team came in after us, but for some reason we couldn't be served first. The pastries and menu looked great but it was a little off putting that other customers weren't a priority because of a large party. Not sure I'd be back after this. read more

Great breakfast spot on the main strip in Zelienople near the Strand Theater. Great selection of omelettes, french toast, pancakes, and other traditional options. We opted to try two versions of their eggs benedict (traditional and florentine) which were delicious with a wonderful hollandaise sauce. The potatoes were salty, hot and wonderfully flavored. The blueberry pancake was good although but ours came a bit undercooked. My wife enjoyed her pumpkin latte and their drop coffee was also good. Incredibly friendly staff and reasonable pricing means we will definitely be back to try some other items. read more

I have become quite the connoisseur of the quaint cafe! This one did not disappoint! Avocado toast was delightful. I tried an Iced White Raspberry Mocha that was so good. My husband thinks the French toast was the best he's had. Prompt, friendly service and modern vibe make this the perfect brunch location. We will return! read more

Come on man! I really like to support local businesses. I stopped in here amidst holiday shopping. It had all the symptoms of a great local spot! Friendly staff, robust breakfast menu, plenty of great options of where to sit. Perhaps they were overwhelmed by holiday shoppers, I'll give them a pass on that. However, it's so frustrating to pay $4 for a cup of chai tea that is only 2/3's full. I knew when I picked it up that it felt light, but because of the LONG wait; I just grabbed it and left. It felt unbelievably hot, so didn't try it until I drove 10 minutes and got to where we were staying. Then I opened the lid and saw how empty it was. No one could have thought that was acceptable to hand to a customer. Also as a customer, you are then put in that awkward space of having to ask for more. Why do I feel awkward asking for what I paid for? "Hey bro, can you top me off?" Then the ratio of milk to chai is going to be off. Don't put me in that position!!! Now that being said, once it cooled down and I got to drink it. It was pretty good. I hate that there were such negative factors that will make me think twice about coming back or suggesting to friends. If not for the taste, I'd for sure say 1 star. read more

Charming cafe in downtown Zelienople I learned opened last summer. I was shopping at another store and asked the shop owner what's a good cafe nearby. This new cafe came highly recommended. Since then, I have stopped in a couple times with friends for lunch and enjoyed my meals each time. One of my favorites in the Caprese panini with sweet potato tator tots covered in cinnamon sugar. Who doesn't love a sweet treat. The chocolate cookies are fantastic. I can't wait to try something new during my next visit. read more

Wow!!! I visited a Rotary Club in Zelienople, Pa and had the most delicious breakfast that was catered from this restaurant. It was so delicious that my wife and I traveled the 14 miles for lunch. It is a unique operation that you get in line to order at a counter full of wonderful and fattening pastries and rolls....not fair. My wife ordered a BLT, which unknown to her,came as a Ultimate BLT which had turkey and cheese along with regular BLT ingredients. She though that they gave the wrong sandwich, but it was so delicious she wasn't going to tell as she feared they would take it back. I ordered the Frisco Melt that was very delicious and came with the best seasoned French fries I have ever tasted. What a nice experience! Oh, and my wife wanted to tell you the tater tots were perfectly done and tasted wonderful. read more

There were three of us dining on a Saturday afternoon. It's located in the perfect spot for lunch before a girls' s boutique shopping day. Location. 5 The food was great! I had a bowl of mushroom soup that was amazing, (though very rich). I will only get a cup next time. My friends got sandwiches, which they both said were wonderful. Food 5 This is a pay first, order next, and they bring you your food situation. We were shocked at how long it took to get our food. My one friend was ready to leave before even eating! Once we did get our food, we saw one of the food runners drop some glassware on the floor. It was only water in the glasses, but he never stopped to clean it up. We told another server to be careful as she too stepped over it. It took them over ten minutes to clean it up. Did I mention that they weren't busy? There were only three tables inside and a few outside at the time. Service 2 I will try it again because the food was stellar. Hopefully they get their service act together. UPDATE: I left a negative comment on their instagram and was blocked. How nice and professional. :) My friends and I walked in here at 3:26 pm on a Saturday. The store said it closes at 4. Upon walking in, the older woman behind the corner with buzzed blonde hair started shaking her head. We stopped in the doorway, already uncomfortable. We asked if they were open. The woman didn't respond. There was a younger employee sweeping next to the counter. She hesitated and said yes. They then said the coffee machine was "restarting" or something and it we "really wanted a drink", it would take a while. Confused, we asked if they closed at 4 today. They said yes. It was so unbelievably clear they wanted us to get the f*ck out. Having worked in the service industry myself, it's CRAZY to me that we were treated with level of disrespect we were. Later, we walked past the store again. There was a group of three adults sitting outside of the restaurant with drinks. I asked if they had gotten the drinks from Spring & Main. One of the women responded yes, however she had said to the worker "I'm getting the vibe you want us to leave". And the worker responded "yes". Stopped by here for the first time with a few friends-we loved it! They have a nice size menu with lots to choose from. We all had their drink of the day- pumpkin spice frappe. It was so good!!
